Windmill Wipeout! (My first level)

This is a little survival challenge-esque game I made. There are two windmills and a waterfall of points that you have to jump through, while avoiding flaming rocks. I've tested it and tested it and I think it is finally ready to play.

I am doing F4F, but only the first 4 feedbackers (word?). I'm going to be busy with exams coming up but I will eventually get to reviewing your level.

Okay. Here is my Feedback.

Your level had a simple but funky look in it, which is pretty good.

The Gameplay is pretty simple which made it fun, because all you i had to do was swing from the 2 windmills back and forth while i avoid the dangerous coal that would make me fall to my doom.

I managed to get the highscore which 7000+ lol i tried to get it as high as i can, and i can probably hit 10000 or more if i tried harder.

Music felt right to the gameplay, which made your level more interesting.

Its too bad that all the people who playe your level gave it a very good rating but they somehow forgot to heart.

Well im a competitive person and i like the challenge, so i gave your level 4 stars and a heart plus a funky tag.

I played youre level, bt i didnt do very good...lol

Pros:

+Fun and simple game, i would definitely play it again.
+Good concept, ive never seen an idea like this for a survival challenge.

Cons:

-The instruction have a grammer mistake? It says: "Dont anything flaming or gaseous" do you mean "Dont touch anything flaming or gaseous"?


Overall i thought it was a fun challenge, 5/5 stars

Fun... These kinds of challenges don't really do much for me usually, as I am more of an explorer...

But I enjoyed it... I have no technical suggestions... It all works just fine

I just had a go, and came second

I thought it was a nice clean and polished level. The gameplay is simple, yet quite addictive.

I am not trying to get feedback, but that sort of thing might make people a bit bummed...

You are going to find that most who give you feedback, and hoping for feedback, are not going to put it directly in their message to you.

I know that I never do, and most of the people who give me feedback and are hoping for some back, don't make a point of saying they want it...

Just a thought.

I don't care either way if people put it in their message or not, but a lot don't... Especially if their sigs have their threads, they are going to assume that since it is a F4F forum, that they shouldn't have to.

The whole F4F thing is one of the reasons I haven`t ever created a thread about my levels. Don`t get me wrong I do like it, but can`t be bothered with it.

While 99% of the people here are cool, I have seen someone getting lippy because someone else hadn`t yet got round to giving them F4F, and also saw some guy write something like, 'Yeah it was ok, ghosts are broken though. Now do mine'. I can`t be bothered with that. So I give people feedback because I like their level and/or because I think I can help improve it somehow. Anyway, this is a derail so back to the level.

I liked it. And tbh i can`t really think of many things that would improve it much at all. I did notice that after a while the fire balls started slowing down again. Not sure if it was a design choice but it means that players can just hold onto the windmills when the going gets tough and wait for things to slow down again. It`s a cheap exploit that could see your scoreboard compromised.

Oh thanks man. And I'm obviously new to the F4F stuff, so I'm not quite sure when people want me to feedback or not. I didn't know if it was implied that I give feedback to everyone or what.

All feedback is appreciated, and those who do it without asking anything in return, you guys are the bomb. I'll go up to check on the slowing down right now. I think I know what it is.

Checked it out tonight and it's fun!

I'm kind of the same mind as Dobi6 and that survival challenges really aren't my thing but this one is pretty cool. The look of the level is very nice. It's not too over the top or dramatic but it's decorated very well and the look is cohesive which elevates this level above a lot of other survival challenge levels out there.

The concept is deceptively simple looking until you get into it. I'm really surprised I haven't seen a ton of this mechanic on levels - I think you're the first one I've seen it on. Maybe I just don't play those other kinds of levels enough. lol. Ramping up is pretty good and let's face it, who doesn't love to fling sackboy around the screen once and awhile!

I gave it 4 stars for the fun factor, interesting concept and nice looking design. Thanks for sharing it!

(F4F not required for me but you're always welcome to try my levels at your own pace)
