Classical Music

I listen to many different genres of music, but classical is one of my favourites. The problem is, I'm the only one who seems to enjoy it. My two current favourite composers are Vivaldi and Claude Debussy. Am I on my own, or is there anyone else here who likes classical music? | 2009-04-20 23:15:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
I don't really listen to it but I like classical music. I started learning fur elise on guitar and I know Cannon in D (some of it) | 2009-04-20 23:16:00 Author: Hamsalad Posts: 2551 |

Classical music is great. I'm not very big on music in general, so I don't really know any artists, but I do enjoy listening to it. That, and jazz. | 2009-04-20 23:28:00 Author: StrayFelisCatus Posts: 178 |
Yeah! I love classical music! It's weird, because in my playlists, you'll find Mozart, Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky and then scroll down bit, and you'll find Megadeth, Motley Crew and Rage Against The Machine and oh! it's a dream to play classical music in LBP create mode I don't really listen to it but I like classical music. I started learning fur elise on guitar and I know Cannon in D (some of it) How weird! I'm learning the exact same things on guitar at the moment! (except I'm learning Cannon Rock in D, instead of the classical version) I love Fur Elise! It's a great piece to play on guitar even though it's originally from piano | 2009-04-21 11:42:00 Author: noddle111 Posts: 174 |
I like classic music too. My father's favourite one is Docata D-mol which i enjoy too. I think that classical music can still impress today. I don't like how todays music exploid the BOM BOM BOM of your bass-box desperately trying to impress you in some way. Classical music just uses awesome orchestras, instruments and melodies to play with your heart and soul. | 2009-04-21 13:17:00 Author: Vanemiera Posts: 329 |
I only like it in movies... if you know what i mean Doesn't mean it sounds bad when it's not in a movie, but it's not really my thing if you know what i mean | 2009-04-21 13:38:00 Author: Yarbone Posts: 3036 |

Classical music is great! A couple composers that haven't been mentioned yet: Saint Saens (Carnival of the Animals, Danse Macabre), Sergej Prokofiev (he did Battle on the Ice - the epic song in LBP), Bach, and Chopin. And of course Beethoven and Mozart, but those are a given Also, I love film/video game music even more. John Williams, James Horner, Michael Giacchino, Jerry Goldsmith, Jeremy Soule, Harry-Gregson Williams and lots more. I think my favorite video game soundtrack is Super Mario Galaxy (I had a wii before I sold it). The melodies are just fantastic in that game. My favorite film soundtrack has to be Star Wars IV, V, and VI (John Williams). They awe me every time I listen. A great song in the soundtrack is "Return of the Jedi". So amazing. I'm actually a composer, so I'm constantly listening to classical/film music (as well as rock, and lots of other stuff including the occasional hip hop and rap song). I'm 16, so I'm not actually a composer by profession (yet). But I plan on going to music school to become a composer. | 2009-04-26 07:14:00 Author: hilightnotes Posts: 1230 |
I like chamber music rather than full blown orchestral music as well as the more minimalist and avant garde composers like Phillip Glass, Steve Reich and John Cage. | 2009-04-26 08:21:00 Author: Sosaku Posts: 146 |
Beethoven's 3rd is my favourite, but I also like a lot of Mahler as well. My Dad brought me up with classical music, now I can thank him for it. @Sosaku - Phillip Glass is great! | 2009-04-26 08:37:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |

I really like classical music, especially if it's a piano song. Some people back then had really great talents on the piano. I don't have any of the songs though, in fact, I don't really have any songs on my ipod etc. I just listen to music casually. | 2009-04-30 16:56:00 Author: lk9988 Posts: 1077 |
