It's a pretty straight forward action/platforming level with some collectible objects hidden around the place for use in your own levels, a boss battle at the end and lots of underpants.

Hope you like it. Also if anyone has any suggestions for a better name I'm all ears.

I just played your level, I liked the look of the pics. First thing, your entire level description has been moderated. Overall, I liked the design and look of the level, I think it might benefit from being a little darker with some moody lighting in, it would set it off really well. I liked the pig characters but there was no indication of what they were after you for, other than you owed them money, but for what? I liked the of the city, and how you used all the planes for the buildings, the neon sign posts looked great but would still benefit from some more lighting effects. I liked the wrecking ball section going through the window and sliding on the underwear down the ziplines, nice touches. The boss got caught on the cars, and was very easy to kill, no real danger if stayed on the said cars and just shot the arms.

A good level that shows some promise, there are a few issues to sort out, which the rating reflects, but overall it was nicely designed with some great moments. I'd really think about implemeting the lighting changes I mentioned though, this level set in the dark with nice lighting would improve the visuals 100%

*** and great tag left.

Thanks for the feedback.

For the story I didn't really think about it much. I just wanted to create a city level and then when it came round to creating the enemies I wound up going for pigs. I was originally going to have you robbing a bank at the start and the pigs would be police. But I couldn't get the uniform to look right.

I might try the lighting but the level is already at almost 100% so I'm not sure I'll be able to put in the extra lights I'd need.

To be honest this was a fairly quick level I made. It's more of a stop gap while I'm waiting for the creator pack to come out this week to finish my Mukashi Mukashi series. But I may go back and make a few tweaks.

I'm glad you worked out the window smashing bit. I wasn't sure if people would be able to work it out.

Anyway thanks alot for the feedback. It's always appreciated. Please check out my Mukashi levels in my sig if you haven't already.

Oh and for the level description I have no idea why it got moderated. It happened before on another level. I finally managed to work out it was the word "canal" that was causing it.

The description is exactly the same as the one I typed at the top of this thread. Though I have no idea what's actually causing it this time.

I'll definately have a look at this level when I get on the PS3.
But I'm posting here to tell you why your description got moderated. You've got the word "Skyscrapers" in it. Seems innocent enough but! Skyscrapers
Hence it's moderated
Seems stupid but y'know......

Ok, I played the level and it was pretty well designed. It had a nice cartoon-y feel and I really like the city itself.

Pros:
+The characters
+The boss
+All the different things to do in the city
+The enemies

Cons:
-A few more places to explore would be good

Overall I gave it 4 stars and tagged "fun"

EDIT:

Finally got around to play it and I really liked it. Actually i'm feeling compelled to play your other levels now.

Pros:

-I like it's straighforward style and mild difficulty. And easy level with nice scenery is like a little chocolate bar between meals -- always welcomed.

-Your scenery. Really it's awesome. You made some believeable details and my eyes were everywhere instead of on my Sackboy. And normally I don't even like level where I see the default ground graphic.

Cons:

-The ennemis and boss are on the d?ja vu side but I still think the little pigs are charming.

-The boss is absolutely zero difficulty as I can kill it standing on the rusty cars and he can't touch at all.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I may remove the rusted cars near the end so people can't hide in them. The boss isn't supposed to be too difficult though. Otherwise I'd just increase the movement speed and have him spit out more bombs. It's more spectacle and a climax to the end of the level than anything else.

Please do check out my other levels. This level was put together fairly quickly without too much effort. I put alot more effort into my Mukashi series. I recommend playing through them in order but atleast give pt2 a try if you didn't like pt1. pt1 is a sort of introductory level.

Anyway thanks for playing and for the feedback.

I really enjoyed how light and airy your level feels. It's got so many tiny details and is set up so differently from a lot of the levels I've played - felt very much like running through a diorama for me. Great material choices and lighting too. Very warm and outdoor feeling in the light.

Great characters - I love it - pigs with weapons! The boss was pretty cool in terms of design but fairly easy to dispatch. (Not a major problem for me though - I don't mind a bit of easy now and then)

Nice setup with the clothes lines, the broken window part and I liked that there are some options as to which path to take through the level.

Very fun and solidly built level. Gave it 5 stars and a heart! Thanks for sharing it!

Ok, just played the level... I really enjoyed a lot of the detail in the level... The stairs were awesome...

As for my thoughts...

I thought some of the camera angles you might want to tweek... It can be hard to see where you are going to want to go.

I loved the grabbing the clothes to slide down thing.

As for the boss, I enjoyed it, but I noticed that he was able to come all the way up to me, and get caught on the cars on the Left...

And I was able to not finish him off and still have the door to the right open... It just took shooting the two cars to do it, I didn't have to shoot the pig...

And speaking of pigs, I thought it would be cool to have a gunshot sound for when the pigs shoot. The plasma sound doesn't really fit the concept of the level.

I also thought that the level seemed a bit lonely for some reason. Maybe add some sounds around the level to add ambiance.

Very fun level!

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

I was thinking about having gunshot sounds but it would have required making lots of little piston devices to time the sound. Unfortunatley the thermometer is already completley maxed and I already had to go back and remove some of the extra bits of scenery and limit the number of materials I used.

But again thanks for all the very useful and constructive feedback everbody. This really is a great community.

P.S. For anyone who hasn't already please check out my Mukashi series.

Just played this. Love the style and design of the level, especially the crane and smashing through the window. I did manage to get stuck under the box infront of the truck after you do the zip line. But that doesn't matter as I was left wanting more. Nice work. 5* hearted2009-05-02 12:01:00
