Forum Length

EDIT: Changes have been made, and we're happy with them. We've got some new subforums and little things have been moved, but overall you have the same setup you had before. When LBP for PSP releases, we may set up a separate forum index soely for it, so it doesn't make the page annoyingly long. Other than that, I think the setup we have now makes sense. Let us know what you think and reply so we can make changes if necessary.

The boards are starting to get a bit long, especially when considering how big the forum will get with LBP for PSP, so we're working to shorten things down without pulling out too much content. If you've got any suggestions (things to merge, things we don't need, or maybe you disagree that the forum's getting too big), let us know here and we'll take it into account when we fix things up.		2009-04-17 04:49:00

Keep in mind, when LBP for PSP releases, the forum length will double. We'll avoid merging as much as possible, but we'll have to embrace subforums if we want to keep things from getting messy.

EDIT: We're making a few changes now. Remember, these changes are not permanent, so feel free to express anything from joy to utter hatred toward them, and we'll take it all into account. Like I said, we're doing this in early preparation for LBP for PSP, which will demand nearly the same number of forums as LBP does.		2009-04-17 05:01:00

Yeah, I got confused when Sig of the Week and Caption Competitions got moved.........
Why was this? The site contests that they were originally in, is still there.

For when LBP PSP comes, couldn't you just separate all fori into PSP and PS3, then in each of those have the necessary subsections?

EG:

Level Showcase->PS3->Posts go here
......................->PSP->Posts go here

It works well, other than the site contests section getting a bit messy. The tutorial section (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=75) was a nice addition.2009-04-17 12:29:00

The arcade sub-forum is pretty much dead and burried.
Not much point in it imo

Sorry to be a pain, CC, but I was just thinking: doesn't SOTW belong in the Site Contests instead of LBP related ones?

I always thought of "Site contests" on forums as being official contests put up by the site, like level design contests with rewards and stuff.. I prefer it to be in the Contest section Although maybe it could be stickyfied or something, but that could be regarded as favouritism and all that jazz.. I posted in the thread, but I'll post here for good measure:

From now on, we will not be supporting non-LittleBigPlanet contests with a dedicated forum or XP. However, since we promised to support certain non-LBP contests with XP initially, we will continue to do so for those contests regardless of this policy change.		2009-04-17 22:35:00
