The Monkey King - Free costume out now *Contains a secret about the Monkey King*

The headline says it all: today?s Playstation store update includes The Monkey King costume, based on the winning costume competition entry from Asia. Oh, nearly forgot to mention - this costume is out right now, and FREE! Yay!

The idea did not come from England, the monkey king is a character from the chinese classic Journey to the West.

It would have been cooler if the headband, hair, and ears were separate, but the hair and ears kept their texture-adapting properties.2009-04-16 23:30:00

The patapon-pack was released here in Europe last week along with the Ragdoll Kung Fu-pack.

This video brings back awesome memories. Incase anyone didn't know, that olympic games animation was done by Jamie Hewlett and Damien Albern, the founders of Gorillaz! You can tell from Hewletts style, the sea warrior lad looks just like Murdoc.		2009-05-01 00:22:00

The famous cult Monkey TV show that was shown in the UK was actually a Japanese TV series of the popular Chinese folktale. Chinese folktales like Monkey, Suikoden and Romace of the Three Kingdoms are all really popular in Japan.

Infact around the time Monkey was showing there was another Japanese TV adaptation of the Suikoden story showing though I can't remember for the life of me what it was actually called.		2009-05-01 02:57:00

The Monkey King is a Legend! The Journey to the West was very famous and is still famous among the asian community. I'm surprised not many people here know about him though. The only reason I know about him though is because Dragonball's Goku is based off of him. Goku has the Nyoi-bo (Staff), tail, Kinto-un (flying cloud), and even the same name! Dragonball's author, Akira Toriyama, based a lot of things off of Journey to the West, such as oolong the pig, Muten-Roshi, and so on. Things from the Journey to the West are refrenced everywhere in animes. So if you don't watch anime's then I don't really expect you to know him.
