The biggest issue in these kind of games is that it gives the general public responsiblility. Now that`s great when you are playing with mates, or a decent group of folk, but when you are playing with randoms it can be a hellish experiance.

Anyone who`s had the misfortune of playing KZ2 when some moron takes it upon himself to be a tactician and promptly loses the game will understand. It`s my only concern as this game looks fantastic.		2009-04-17 02:24:00

Can`t be sure, but I think you`d be fine as no doubt there`ll be an option to choose which server to play on.

The statement has been "if the community loves it and it's popular we will probably add new content". Basically if the demand is there. But I tell you I played the beta for a good 30hr+ and that was one map. I also want to say without breaching any NDA that the replayability factor is there. I felt it was much like Warhawk or Burnout in that you will come back to it. I think a lot of people will be surprised.2009-06-16 16:16:00

I dont really think anybody knows but i mean at one point they said there was a release date for New zealand only (june 18) Then at one point they said only europe had a release date (i couldnt find when though) And now all their telling us that fat princess is gobbling up june release date !!! Near the end of June ()

I just checked the european store and its not there but it did have some updates.

That's it! I'm officially forgetting about this game. I'm not going to look for it or expect it on any PSN update. If, one distant day, I happen to notice that Fat Princess is (finally) available, maybe I'll pick it up, but my desire to play is quickly dwindling, knowing I can't and won't for a while.

Well there's a lot of single player stuff that you can mess about with while the servers calm down

Played the first five "story" (lol) missions. Gave up on the sixth one because of AI bottlenecks...you'll see. Got into one game online and it was one big mess of lagspikes and invisible players. I'll wait a few hours and check back.2009-07-30 18:51:00

I hate to say it but it's a big disappointment :/

Single player is fun for a while but it gets really annoying when the ai isn't being helpful.
A few times i was attacking the enemies castle and then all of the allies would bugger off and leave me to do it alone.
It's really hard to develop some sort of winning tactic with ai too, it's just running forward with whatever class and hacking away randomly.

Then multiplayer was the worst though, not because the servers were laggy but because it doesn't let me join or host games with more than 4 players!
If i try host a game with more than 4 players i get an error saying 4 is the max with my bandwidth.
Seriously with only 2 people per team it's not even worth playing.

Hopefully the bandwidth error will disappear once the servers have calmed down.		2009-07-30 19:15:00

If they haven't resolved these issues we got now they must do it shortly. In the beta I had a ton of fun and I already found all the maps really cool so I expect to have fun a bit later. I hope it's just release probs. On the official EU playstation boards we have game nights with private matches. You just sign up on the board before that evening. Thing is though it wasn't much of an error, it seemed more like a limitation

I basically just told me to get faster internet, the way it was worded didn't make it seem like it'd be resolved.

I hope their solution to reducing lag isn't stopping laggy people from going online completly (my internet isn't even that bad :/)		2009-07-30 20:56:00

So far i think my favorite is the Villager. hes fast, can repair and upgrade. and his Bombs are REALLY powerful. great for taking out clusters of enemies, especially when they are tryin to bust through your defenses, cuz then after u splode em all u can repair the walls!2009-07-30 23:38:00

I didnt know whether i wanted it and was on the fence.

I looked at some review on youtube posted today (release day), made me want it more but i was still on the fence.

I decided to shut my eyes tight and keep pressing X until i owned it, no going back now!
I now own it and have it installed!

Strangely enough i haven't played it yet. A friend came around and now my brothers gone to bed so i'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I did have a look at the opening screen and the credits (which you get to be a grim reaper and kill. Kill. KILL! while they scroll) which seemed fun.

Bought it earlier this evening and have a friend over playing it now. Looks like he might have to invest in a PS3. Great game and will undoubtedly get better once the multiplayer issues get ironed out. Too bad it's not good to go right now, but you can always count on having server issues day one despite all the beta testing in the world.

There's a story mode, an arena type thing and a skirmish mode

I'm really desperate to play online at the moment, but i just get a message saying my bandwidth isn't high enough!
I hope it's resolved soon because i have no idea how to increase my bandwidth... it sounds like it might be expensive though.

Just playing against ai is really boring and annoying, there's no strategy involved at all and the ai is ridiculous sometimes.

Haven't played online, but the story mode is pretty fun so far,
I'm really curious to see what the online experience is like...



Single player is fun for a while but it gets really annoying when the ai isn't being helpful.
A few times i was attacking the enemies castle and then all of the allies would bugger off and leave me to do it alone.
It's really hard to develop some sort of winning tactic with ai too, it's just running forward with whatever class and hacking away randomly.
The ai could use some work, but did you know you can ask for help? Press up and someone will assist you, press again and another one will asists you.

Got a question about upgrading, if you deliver wood at the defense towers, what does that actually do? I know if you deliver resources at the other buildings they get upgraded and you get new weapons and stuff.

Well I cant jon gamesBut I can make them lol. I made a game and my band width was 18 is that the maximum? SO played 4 games and won all of them thanks to me lol. It seems Im still the upperclass somehow as Im always making the most points The problem was my team just wanted to kill so I had to get the princess in every match lol. Also when you get resources it should be just for you because I kept getting resources to make catapult and everytime I got enough other people used them on what they wanted. Btw it wasnt lagging at all

So what do you think is the most uber class at killing. The dark priest is pretty cool but does he drain their health cause he does it very slowly Then the warrior is really strong...

It's totally worth the price. I played for 2-3 hours last night without lag. When you manage to get into a lag free match this game is just awesome. I suggest you play through the singler player first (I gave up on the last match, stupid AI) then go online. Play all the classes. I think it's much more fun when you know how to play all the classes. That's when strategy experimenting starts. That's what's fun. Finding out how to best pi-- off your opponent.2009-07-31 13:52:00

Wow time flys when you play this xD
I've just been playing for at least 5 hours without taking a break o_o

I've had tons of great moments on this game already, like i think i managed about 20 kills without getting hit

I think i'm pretty good at all classes so far apart from mages. I've got some really fast methods of resource collecting, can deal a good amount of kills with the ranger and i've had a few really good moments playing as a priest.
I'm not sure about the warrior though, i'm not too bad with them but i'm a bit suicidal 		2009-07-31 14:23:00

Is it me or does nobody use a headset. Because I remember them saying even if you dont have a headset you can hear what everyone else says. Although I havent heard a peep from anyone?
Plus I know love the football lol. Best tacticark priest...Just keep zapping everyone and using your aoe(area of affect)on them. I had 1 heart left...with a mage killing me while it was being healed. Oh and for anyone who didn't know, dark priests can't kill people they can only reduce the enemies health until it's really low.
So if you're by yourself with a dark priest don't worry about dieing, just make sure you can heal before someone else shows up!

Oh and if you stop moving completly your health will regenerate - this works anywhere, not just on towers 		2009-07-31 15:08:00

Nope definatly can't

Priests are a support class, they aren't meant to be offence.

Actaully Ive been creating games and having no glitches no lagg and nothing wrong. Yet earlier I joined Basket snakes group It was mental lol. Experienced the first people speaking on headset "Can someone help me?" "yeah where are you?" Once you know the game a bit, i think it's a lot of fun!
It seems such a simple, innocent kiddy game, but actually it's a pretty tactical game with a lot of humor in it
I love it, it's one of those game where you say, oh one more... and another one... and then you release it suddenly gets brighter... and then you hear birds singing.... and you realize you have been playing this for houres.

Not sure its the first mission on story mode. The one with a circle of mud in the middle and a mining spot in the middle of that.

Best PSN game ever.

This game is just amazing, I bought it the day it came out and played it practically nonstop.

My rank is already 'Sir' , and I have completed the story mode, despite the dumb as a rock AI which do nothing to help you.

The multiplayer isn't as laggy as it was on the release, and now I can find games easy 'cake' (Hehe).

The only thing that would make this game better if their was a devoted forum so you could make clans and stuff .

Well, that's my review of the game so far, and if you haven't bought the game yet I suggest you do, best ?12 I spent in a very long time.

Yeah the game is loads of fun and for the first few times I played everyone was on the same level so matches were going both ways. But it only took a day for the really good folks to get better tactics and group to together because the last game I was in they have taken full advantage of the fact that with the upgraded mage, (Ice) they only need to charge there aoe a small bit to have people freeze in place and make it imposable to catch up and get the princesses back.

Might need some tweaking in the future because it became insane and frustrating trying to get them. Or maybe just my team needs better organization skills. so sad when for the 3 games I played on that team I was first on the losing team with double the points of the second place guy.

Does anyone know how the ranking system work because Im a corporal but have no idea what that means or does for me. Also do you have to play through the story to unlock the other maps for is it just the times I played I have always ever been on like the first 3 ones.

I could have sworn that as the dark priest when you lock on them and hold it for long enough for the insignia below you to form it will kill them because when that happens I get 10 points when they die oppose to 5 points when a team mate gets them with my help. Fire torch upgrade is the archer I think, when you upgrade the archer factory the braziers light up and you can use it to power your gun/bow.

Haven't heard much talking either and if they were talking, it was not about the game
The fun online really depends on, in what team you are, and how good your teammates are. I've been in several games were the 1st of the losing team had a lower score than the last of the winning team, once the match is over you see all the good players group togheter and all the bad ones. I got to play as the grim reaper once. You need to kill a chicken or something IN BETWEEN matches. It'll get big and when you kill the big chicken it leaves and egg. Pick up the egg and you change to the grim reaper. I went nuts in the enemy castle.2009-08-03 19:01:00

mmm not sure. Ive been grim reaper about 30 times seriosuly... And everytime I get it is when Im on the winning team and I scored the most points. I have been a big chicken about 4 times Thats when I have got the most points on the losing team. ... Sadly I have actually never seen a someone else being a reaper or a chicken... weird really. Jokes aside ever since I started playing online I have always been first in the group, Im not sure why but I seem to pass everyone else by miles My best in one game was 2300 and something

I read that the ranking system counts the amount of points from your last 10 matches, and that cumulative score determines your rank

For example if you get these score over 10 matches:

1- 3000
2- 1000
3- 1200
4- 800
5- 2000
6- 1400
7- 1000
8- 500
9- 900
10- 1100

Would give you a cumulative score of 12900, which could be the amount you need to gain the 10th rank.

Then on your next match the first score would get deleted since it was 11 matches away. So to increase your cumulative score you'd need over 3000.		2009-08-04 00:58:00

I don't think there's any local multiplayer, unless connecting an extra controller makes the option for it appear

More class upgrades would probably unbalance the game but i still really want them

Gate and tower upgrades would be really useful.
Towers could maybe give archers and mages more power when they stand on top of them.

The cake thing could be built on as well. Maybe a mixing machine that mixes cakes to make them more fattening or add other attributes.

- 2 cakes would make a cake twice as fattening
- a cake and some wood could create a fake cake that harms enemies that try to collect it
- a cake and some metal could damage the enemy slowly he tries to carry the princess

Or maybe a cake mixture that creates a slimming cake that you can feed to your enemies princess 		2009-08-04 14:38:00

Alright, so I finally got my hands on it. I finished off the single player fairly fast and got that trophy, and played a couple games of Gladiator. It's getting late, but I hit "Jump In!", figuring I could get in a couple online games before I go to bed. The game froze up my PS3, even the PS button didn't respond. I pressed the power button on the front of the console until it beeped and shut off. I'll try again tomorrow. Personally, I'm not too put off by it because I absolutely loved everything about the game up until that point. 2009-08-06 02:17:00

Bots are usually indicated by looking at the player's list, and check out the icon next to their name, if it's just a square with the color of their team then it's a bot. Players have that Body icon.		2009-08-06 18:27:00

I was trying out soccer a couple of minutes ago with the computers. Anyone who's played it knows the computers bunch up together into a mosh pit. This is what happens when you throw a bomb into it:

That's what I did after I took the picture. My score was in the ~2,000 range, but the funniest thing was the list of deaths on the side of the screen that came up when the bomb went off. It was everyone but me.

I think the sharp contrast is sort of comical at that point in the match, about 30 seconds in. I had tenfold the score of second place. It eventually evened out, but it was great while it lasted. 		2009-08-07 11:42:00

this isn't a problem on the game's side, but yours.
