Hyper Cube Trilogy

Archive: 15 posts

Hi all

Just wondered if someone would like to review my Hyper Cube trilogy (or even one of them!).

This is the first time I've asked for a review so please forgive me if I'm in the wrong place. Thank you.

PSN: MrsSpookyBuz
Level: Hyper Cube; Hyper Cube 2; Hyper Cube 3

Much obliged,
Mrs SpookyBuz

(PS - Oops, I think I forgot the F4F tag too. Soz!

Hey man, there's a special thread dedicated to reviews

It's in Sharing The Fun --> Reviews.

There's a sticky there where you can request reviews, so you might want to check that out.
This thread is basically designed so you can give information about your level, and show some screenshots if possible, and people will probably give feedback on it.

Can't check your levels out since my PS3 is semi-dead. Sorry.

I've played your first Hyper Cube and it was quite good. Very well designed, well done. 2009-04-15 11:58:00

Oh, I apologise, I thought it was here I should be posting!

Should I/can I delete the post?

Apologies again.

No, just change the content of the post and ask for people to play your series and tell you what they think. I can turn it into a F4F thread if you like.2009-04-15 12:10:00

I thoroughly enjoyed playing the third level in the trilogy. I meant to give the others a try, but didn't get around to it.
I thought it was a really entertaining idea with the multiple paths and hidden dangers. I'm having another go at them someday

I loved these levels too. I loved how each section of the levels were different then the other sectors in the level and I thought it was cool how Hyper cube 1 was made out of blue VR, Hyper cube 2 was made out of red VR and Hyper cube 3 was made out of green VR. Very well done with all three of them.2009-04-15 13:45:00

I played two of these last night and I am very impressed. The levels never get dull or frustrating, and although very simple in shape and color it looks gorgeous. Extremely creative design. Highly recommended, keep 'em coming!2009-04-15 14:13:00

Hey there. I played Hyper Cube 3 last night and I really liked it. I didn't get to finish it though because I got to a certain point with the lightning gun thing and after I shot all the pieces with it, nothing happened and there was nowhere to go.

Either something broke and didn't work, or you need to make it more clear what to do next because I ended up quitting because I was stuck.

I was disappointed though because I was really enjoying it so far!

I have to say that I got bored on the first Hyper Cube. Sorry, just being honest.
But, the the other two are really fun! Great job!

I played Hyper Cube 3 the other night, and I was going to come here to LBPC and add a thread for it to the Recommendations forum, but thought I'd give a quick check here to see if you were a member of the LBPC community. And lo and behold...

Anyway... Fantastic level. I was impressed by how gorgeous it looks - given the very simple selection of materials and the cube nature of design, one might expect it to be static and boring. Not so!! And the gameplay and puzzle elements were wonderful.

I really must go back and try the first two levels in this series.

Hi, new guy Gravel here!

I played the original and was blown away by the sheer involving nature of the level... it was very well designed (I never once dreamed of being bored). It was very good product and I hearted it and you immediately. With all that said, I assumed it would take forever to build and I wouldn't be seeing a sequel for some time, jump ahead to a second, than third... I amazed at you output. Not sure I believe you rewind anywhere near as often I [ he says picking up the broken pieces of a nameless level.]

Checked out all 3 today and really loved them. Great concept - consistent look/feel for all three - fun puzzle work - and they are paced great!

REALLY fun with more than 1 player if you don't mind/enjoy leaving a friend(s) in the dust - but you have plenty of checkpoints so it's not that big a deal even if you tend to play co-op style.

I don't have anything to suggest to improve them except make more!

5 stars for all 3 (although I think 2 was my favorite) and hearts too. Thanks for sharing them!

Can't believe I missed this thread! Its actually a Quadrology now, with Hyper Cube Frenzy out there, it adds a sense of urgency with a timer ticking down, so no time for sitting around scratching your head for a solution. It's sort of a greatest hits of the first three, and all together, some of the best puzzle levels you will ever have the opportunity to play!2009-04-26 15:32:00
