Dude... I love you! Now I know that I can make my Thief based level!!! YES!!!! Oh and this post made me a sack too ! Both levels are new everyone definitely have a look! Lighting in the first is awesome, and there's a cool trigger where the monkeys (or whatever) go into the ground when you approach! Also shows some cool elastic string. Second level show a cool skull thing that shoots you upwards as well as cool skull elevators. | 2008-08-25 01:39:00 Author: Burrich Posts: 1018 |
Also...They showed springs in action. On the wedding level. | 2008-08-25 02:23:00 Author: Liquid!13 Posts: 53 |
Pretty nice videos... that Wedding level looked more like a freakshow! | 2008-08-25 02:24:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |
Pretty nice videos... that Wedding level looked more like a freakshow! Yeah it's like the weirdest wedding I've ever seen. There must be a context, like the bride must be the boss and she's a skeleton or something. | 2008-08-25 03:02:00 Author: Burrich Posts: 1018 |
Very cool stuff here Maybe I spoke too soon about the lack of media from Games Convention | 2008-08-25 03:10:00 Author: Harrisment Posts: 136 |

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7c/Catrinas_2.jpg/400px-Catrinas_2.jpg ^^^ This is what the wedding level, and in fact all the South American levels I've seen are based on ^^^ It's a figure from the Mexican Day of the Dead, or All Souls Day. It's a very colourful celebration, but it explains all the skeletons etc. I'm personally a huge fan of this art style, my favourite T-shirt has a skull in this vein. Ah thanks very much for posting! I hadn't seen those ones. Im really starting to get a great idea of how advance you can make levels. | 2008-08-25 18:17:00 Author: Unknown User |
Yeah. My ideas keep getting blown out the water when a new trailer is released. A good thing, of course. THINK BIG! | 2008-08-25 18:59:00 Author: AKIRA-UK Posts: 32 |
Thanks AKIRA-UK for posting these two awesome videos. It's funny these two levels are levels that they always show when they are picking other levels in game play videos. I've always been curious about them and now I got to see both of them at the same time. Before the videos were embedded you had links AKIRA-UK . What was the original source for the videos Also I'm not familiar with Stephen Fry or his voice is this him that we hear narrating the two levels | 2008-08-25 19:03:00 Author: BurlapSackBoy Posts: 310 |
Also I'm not familiar with Stephen Fry or his voice is this him that we hear narrating the two levels No, thats not Stephen Fry. He has a far more intelligent sounding voice, haha. In fact I completly forgot he has his voice in the game, im so excited. He is a very funny man. | 2008-08-25 20:26:00 Author: Unknown User |
Before the videos were embedded you had links AKIRA-UK . What was the original source for the videos Also I'm not familiar with Stephen Fry or his voice is this him that we hear narrating the two levels The links were just to YouTube, someone embedded them for me using the same links. Also, I believe there is different voices for different regions. Stephen Fry - UK only maybe? Harald Eia - Norway Nuno Markl - Portugal | 2008-08-25 21:29:00 Author: AKIRA-UK Posts: 32 |
Before the videos were embedded you had links AKIRA-UK . What was the original source for the videos Well BRAVO is a channel on Sky (kind of cable) in the UK and Ireland. And the +1 just means it was what was on the original Bravo an hour ago. Someone probably just recorded it and uploaded it on youtube. | 2008-08-25 23:16:00 Author: Burrich Posts: 1018 |

Thank you so much ive been craving new videos and this is great. did you guys notice what i did? when the sackboys go off the screen it shows little pictures of them with arrows pointing to where they are, and its like a little sketch! i think its a nice touch and i wonder if it works with custom items you put on your sackboy! | 2008-08-26 03:52:00 Author: Gondito Posts: 1082 |
^Yeah, i noticed that too. Does anyone think Meerkat Kingdom looks like Operation Creature Feature(if you guys have played, that is) | 2008-08-26 06:01:00 Author: LittleBigMan Posts: 326 |
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you...STEPHEN FRY!!! YouTube - Stephen Fry puts Alan in his place - Qi - BBC | 2008-08-28 02:16:00 Author: Robinhood Posts: 79 |
The links were just to YouTube, someone embedded them for me using the same links. Also, I believe there is different voices for different regions. Stephen Fry - UK only maybe? Harald Eia - Norway Nuno Markl - Portugal No way man, we better get Fry in the US. | 2008-08-28 03:12:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
considering some Americans can't understand anyone speaking with slight British accent I doubt it will happen. They have subtitles on the news for people in other countries speaking in slight accents for just that reason. | 2008-08-28 03:19:00 Author: Robinhood Posts: 79 |
considering some Americans can't understand anyone speaking with slight British accent I doubt it will happen. They have subtitles on the news for people in other countries speaking in slight accents for just that reason. I don't know about that but then again I was raised on British television. It's the thick accents and slang people here usually don't understand. Besides, I can't think of any [living] American comedian who could do a better job. | 2008-08-28 03:32:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
I was just watching one of the youtube clips of QI and some American guy asked if someone could translate it for him because he couldn't understand what they were saying or why they were laughing | 2008-08-28 04:06:00 Author: Robinhood Posts: 79 |
considering some Americans can't understand anyone speaking with slight British accent I doubt it will happen. They have subtitles on the news for people in other countries speaking in slight accents for just that reason. Some are that ignorant I suppose, but I'm sure he'll be talking clearly etc. It might be a bit of an education for those. The majority of Americans could understand him though. Judging by how many American saw and enjoyed V for Vendetta, I'm pretty **** sure they can understand a British accent. He'll be in the American version, I guarantee it. | 2008-08-29 02:18:00 Author: Dropbear Posts: 272 |
I'd be very surprised if they got someone else. He is a very good speaker, very clear and easy to understand. He was in the show Bones for a few episodes and I doubt anyone had any trouble understanding him. And V for Vendetta of course... Here's a clip from V for Vendetta: jtVWdplyDx8 | 2008-08-29 02:42:00 Author: Burrich Posts: 1018 |
