Can you remember how crazy everyone went with trying to find keys? Which brought me to the question... how many did you get (total each)? I ended up with 5 Alex. PS. First person to remember how large the beta was (ie. 100mb) gets +1 rep I can remember!

I watched that 906MB download painfully slow. I think the US size was different though, like over 1GB slightly.

I got two. I got one from IGN and one for posting on the mm blog once. I woke up at like 4 in the morning because I gave ign one of my ideas, and they stopped giving out beta keys for that in the middle of giving them out on Friday, and I knew I would get one... and so I did. It finished installing the second I had to leave for school :/ So yeah, went all day knowing it was there... Also, got one randomally for posting in the mm blog once, and gave it to my friend-0 actually managed to convince him to buy socom instead, but he gave me his old headset... Yeah, LBPC was madness back then :/ CIVIL WAR :O ... yeah. Ah, good times, good times... ... that reminds me. I STILL want to know who those mysterious 4 users CC gave those beta codes to were! I know bbroman, BUT WHO WERE THE OTHER 4?!

I was offered 2 by LBPC users. I think Marino 1st. I scoured for AGES! Sage (Sackboyfanatic142 then, I think) got one from a user and everyone complained.

Memories of the beta! I was really excited when my brother lended me an extra key! I was trying to get keys everywhere and it would never work. But my best moment surely was to make The Banana Horde. Great times. .

I got in on the last beta key contest. You had to answer some question which was only posted at a specific time and then you had to PM someone with the answer, and only the first 100 or so would get a key. I managed to hit it on my first and only try. Since the beta was short-lived by that time, I never managed to make it big though.

Countless, countless of hours... searching, registering, refreshing, writing, staring, crying, reading... But no success... Until, i by chance looked in the forum of a small littlebigplanet news fansite and found that one of the users mysteriously had managed to get hold of 96 (yes you heard me right, 96) keys, and gave them away to the 96 first to post a joke that he considered good enough... I was the 68th poster... the next morning i woke up really early, threw myself on our computer and looked in my mail inbox. That day was the happiest day of my life ((so far) hey i'm 15 so what can possibly be better than getting to play a game that you have really looked forward to and almost daily read about for a year... (I am pretty sure that i have spent more time reading and watching movies about lbp than actually playing lbp itself...)) This was 3 days before the beta ended so i newer got the time to try out create mode more than just looking through the tutorials. But i had extremely fun with the azure palace, world of color and god of war (Rest in peace), which were the only good levels existing.

I bought the PS3 for the system, not for the games. And I'm low on money from it, but I don't regret getting LBP at all. I bought it only within the last month or two, so I never knew the beta. Still, I love the final version, and that's what I think counts. Though its far from perfection.

You buy a system for the games, thats the whole point, no reason to buy one if none of the games are any good. I'm yet to buy and play MGS4, Uncharted etc, to hooked on LBP Central.

I meant that I didn't buy it just for the games. I also bought it for the ability to play blu-ray movies for when I eventually get them, and I know I will. I didn't get it for any one game, though. More for a combination of them, Resistance 2, Resident Evil 5, and LittleBigPlanet I play right now. I also want to go back and play through oblivion eventually.

Just wondering... Was there any sort of story levels or an introduction within the beta? Or was it only create mode and online mode?? I'm kinda happy that my first lbp experience was finding my sackboy under that spotlight in the very first introduction level. And just incase you're asking... NO! I didn't get any beta keys!!! >:O Mister "Oh we'll give him 5 keys! just for the laugh"

The beta (at least the one I got access to) was essentially just like the game on release, except you had only the first five story levels and not all of the create mode tutorials were finished (one of them even had Japanese audio lol). There were much fewer objects to play with, obviously, but the basics were there.

Sounds cool, I bet being part of the beta group was amazing, everyone on it were making the very first levels around! Wish I was there. Ah well, hopefully the overall standard will get higher and higher as H4H's get bored and its only the most dedicated players keeping the game alive!

The beta was ace, but you didn't really miss anything. I mean, it was fun, but the hours and hours of beta key hunting was really starting to wear me down.

I was really lucky and was on LBPC as someone posted a thread saying that Eurogamer were just giving away the first Beta code for lbp and there were like 5000 or something. I went straight on there and everyone busted the site BIG TIME with trying to register an account with them (as you had to be a member to get a key). It was laaging up really bad as everyone was just constantly refreshing the page to fill the form in lol. Then I remembered I already had an account with the site so I logged in and got a Beta key straight away (there is something to be said on joining all these sites lol) So I was one of the first few hundred in the Beta Only got the one as I didn't need to try for any others
