Invisible Matter (old), New Layer, and Multiple layers on your layers... New glitch.

Archive: 9 posts

So these are the glitches that occured in my simple contraption, which involved an emitted object that destroys itself via plasma. Firstly, invisible matter. It was only thin thickness, though it combined with the second glitch: thin layers on thick. One piece was the standard checkpoint thickness, but the other was on a new layer- a thin thickness layer right in the dead centre of the thick layer. So that was weird. And, finally, a multiple object glitch. When the emitted object hit the plasma, it made the death sound, but wasnt destroyed. Instead, it stayed, but new objects could be emitted im its place. After pausing, i cut a bit of the object out and placed it down. It exploded and sent 5 copies of itself flying out in a symmetrical pattern. Weird, huh?2009-04-13 17:41:00

I think the last one happened in a test level i made, the emmiter was able to emmit an objec in the same place many times without the last one dissapearing.
When i touched it tho, a bunch of copies of that object got sent flying all over....
The thin-thick glitch where the objects are in the same dimention and thicknes of the checkpoint?
Or is it a new one with an even newer layer?

It's like the "Thin layers on your thick layers" glitch, whereby you have a thin-layer object (same size as a checkpoint), but on an abnormal layer (such as the checkpoint). The first one is old - it's at the same layer as the checkpoint - but the second is entirely new. There isn't even an object that I can think of that fits there - a very thin layer object in the dead centre of the thick layer. So half way between any two thin layers you can normally have.2009-04-13 19:30:00

I see, then it is a new layer and dimention, man, how many dimentions are there in this game?! XD
So can you recreate it or was it just an accident and don't know how?

I maaaay be able to recreate it, unfortunately my PS3 is in a car next to a river somewhere, so not tonight. I have the object that was emitted saved in my pop-it (as well as the invisible matter on the new layer), so I may be able to de-construct the glitch.2009-04-13 19:34:00

Can you publish a level showing them? I might have made them before.2009-04-13 19:45:00

...no, a frayed knot. For one, the new layer is invisible. Secondly, my PS3 isn't here at the moment 2009-04-13 19:51:00

but the other was on a new layer- a thin thickness layer right in the dead centre of the thick layer.

Piston matter
YouTube - LittleBigPlanet Glitch - extra layers

Half way between a thick layer is where the piston lies, it breaks somehow and the invisible matter that holds it to the material, comes loose in some cases
DO NOT use it.
Tried to use it in a creation of mine and it REALLY messes it up.
You can't even hover when you're standing behind it in create mode..
To be avoided xD

@SackDragon, I made a level about it a while ago Just search @Sismna, it's actually my most played level
