Jetpack Layers

I'm pretty sure on this one, just want confirmation but had to much LBP for one day! When equipped with a jetpack, Sackboy will always go and stay on the closest layer right? And there's no was to move Sackboy back and forth through the layers unless you go to grab something on one of the other layers and when you let go of the thing you've grabbed Sackboy will move back to the closest layer, right? | 2009-04-10 21:31:00 Author: adlingtont Posts: 321 |

This is mostly true. However, you can also trap sackboy in a back layer by placing stuff in front of it. As soon as there is an opening though, he will jump to the front layer. | 2009-04-10 21:37:00 Author: dcf Posts: 468 |
thank you and that's good to know | 2009-04-10 21:41:00 Author: adlingtont Posts: 321 |
I think it matters what layer you place the actual jetpack. You will fly in the layer that the jetpack is placed and will move to the layer of the object you are grabbing. Once you let go you revert back to the layer the jetpack is on. I think that's how it is anyway | 2009-04-10 21:52:00 Author: dorien Posts: 2767 |

It does not matter what layer the jetpack is placed in. I should note that this is for the tethered jetpack. No one knows how the untethered one will work just yet. | 2009-04-10 21:53:00 Author: dcf Posts: 468 |

No one knows how the untethered one will work just yet. I'm assuming it will work the same way as the only way to move through the layers without grabbing something is by using the lever(for some reason i can't remember the name :/) which its already being used to move around with the jetpack. and L2/R2 will just move the arms. Maybe with R1/L1? who knows, we'll have to wait for Cornish Yaarg to find out i guess. | 2009-04-11 02:35:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

The only difference is create mode gives you an extra thick layer, in front of everything else. You can trap yourself in create mode by building an enclosure. So I'm guessing the tetherless will operate under the exact same rules. | 2009-04-11 04:11:00 Author: dcf Posts: 468 |
