This level is pretty cool. I love the idea of walking the ball through the level through chain reactions that you cause. Graphics were zany and well done. I had fun.

Couple points:

1. The first time I went through I didn't know the sponge near the end would only go up once, so I didn't grab it and couldn't finish. You could make the sponge drop after you hit the button, then put a grab switch on it so it will lift you up at will.

2. The biggest issue I had with this level is LENGTH. This idea could really cement you as a good author if you put the work in and extend it into a full level with, let's say, 4 or 5 game areas. Maybe have some courses where you need to time the ball properly to go through certain obstacles, and you only get a certain # of balls to do it.

I gave it 4 stars and a heart because I think it's a great idea, but you really should extend it. The length is a BIG problem here.

F4F - you can check out my Splat Invaders Saga level.

thanks guys.

CC.

1. It goes up and down.. don't know why you had that prob.

2. It is small because it's one hole of a minigolf course... Thats not a big thing...

3. It has only 5 balls allowed and i am sketching up a plan for hole2

I'll check your level tommorow when i can go on the ps3.

Thanks

1. Don't know... but for some reason it stopped and wouldn't go up again. I stood under it for about a minute, jumped up and down, grabbed it.... in case it helps, I ran under it and stopped to watch the explosions as the sponge went up and then down.... then it didn't go back up again. It's POSSIBLE that it was one of those "1 time" things where an explosion damaged something in the level.

I played this one... and although it is a cool idea, i really wish it had.. more...? it takes more time to load the level than to finish it... something as small as this can't make a lasting impression i think. also, where does the ball go at the end?

anyhow, the above just got all of the bad out of the way. this level has a feel of a rube goldberg device, with a bit more player input. I'd really like to see a par 3/4 kind of setup using this mechanic. also, some more "options" of a sort, as in, depending on what you do, the ball could travel different paths or something.

This one really seemed like a warm-up for a grand plan. I'm truly excited to see what the second hole looks like!

Well the second hole is longer so far. maybe about 2 mins. with some challenges for the player.

Multi route is an idea whichi shall implement soon.

Im not that good at switches etc. so im not going to be rushing around with Or's and If's

Rube goldberg.. hehe i like those things.

Yeh, the second hole's shaping up to be better.
I really like this, reminds me of the Cause & Effect levels by TripleTremendo (and the guy who completely ripped him off, and Anti-Colour).

I enjoyed the golf... A few things... Like others have said, it is SHORT...

But that isn't necessarily bad... I would make each hole give a key to the next one... You may want to release the course as a whole, rather than one hole at a time...

As for this level, When you start, it is a bit hard to get to the button, and a bit hard to get to the 3-way switch (do you want a 3-way switch here? - what is the value of having it be able to go backwards?).

I also found, because of the leaf stickers it was really easy to fall to your death here when you were going to the yellow ramp on the left.

After that, when you hit the button, you don't get any real sensation that you did something right for a bit... It takes a moment to realize that you dissolved a block and the ball is rolling... - Maybe make the button trigger a camera, or make some sound effect for dissolving the block... The first time I played it it wasn't clear what caused the explosion, because it happened exactly when I grabbed the sponge ball going up and down.

I liked it though, and plan to play your others when you put them out.

Thanks mate.

The three way was for if for some reason the ball failed.

The layering on that level sucks.. badly... i know..

for sme reaosn cameras are REALLY restricted.. *** stupid things.
