Which layer am I on?

Archive: 8 posts

How about a simple little box in the corner that says
Either: "Thin, Thick"
And either: "Layer 1, Layer 2 or Layer 3"

I find it really annoying when I'm using Front View and I have to switch back to game view every time I need to see what layer I'm on...

Could be awesome if you use front view alot. Personally I don't.

When I'm using front view, which is quite a bit, I just memorize how many clicks it takes to get to whichever layer I want. It would be kinda handy having something tell you on the hud though. I think its already really cramped as it is... the Thermo on the left is HUGE..... always gets in the way for me when I want to judge how big a camera zone is or placing objects........ also the jetpack/camera thing at the bottom of the screen doesn't help2009-04-09 21:05:00

Jetpack camera?
Never used a jetpack before..
What about something like when you press R1 it says your characters name around your head, which holding an object, if you press _ it appears like that?

Jetpack/camera as in the white message that's constantly there, telling you press down on D-pad for jetpack, and use R-stick to angle camera.......... ****** me off because it never goes away.2009-04-09 21:21:00

I think layer names would be good as it would stop those stupid human errors.2009-04-09 21:37:00

Yes, this would be very useful. I always bring the object to the front layer and then bring it back to the layer I want.
I also agree, you should be able to turn the help at the bottom off.

This would be useful, but I usually do what Pitcard mentioned (memorise how many clicks it takes.) I reckon this should be an optional thing that you can turn on and off in the menu.2009-04-09 22:56:00
