That's right, he somehow has to ability to post on the front page (forum) and contributes alot, positively. Please, cartman and lbp, make him a DU, he totally deserves it

I think we deserve more DUs in general... but yeah, he's a good pick. EDIT: While I also want more DUs... I, personally, think it may be time to get another mod :/ sorry to take this off track, but really- I know our staff likes a smaller team, but, I unno, most of the team we have right now isn't on too much, and it show now that what we do have isn't enough... but yeah, been thinking about that for a while, just be bothering me. Anywho... yeah. Definitally need more Distinguished Users .

We're looking into both mods and DUs, but keep in mind that at the moment, we're doing a lot of preparation for the future. We're still actively considering who should be added, but it's not considered urgent. In any case, if you know someone (other than yourself) that you think deserves to be a Distinguished User, let me know in this thread or through PM. I'm not guaranteeing a reply, but it might help us move quicker in terms of adding more DUs.

Thanks Oldage. I feel we need more DUs as the existing ones have become quite inactive. Mods on the other hand, are not needed at the moment as far as I can tell. There are periods when mods aren't online but the users here are very friendly and rarely break the rules. The currents mods are doing a great job but if you feel we need another then I would suggest RockSauron as he has experience on another site.

CCubbage seems like a Good suggestion for Dinstinguished User, so do Teebonesy, Whaaaaale, Dorien and wexfordian. I don't think this place has overly much use for another Mod, though.

Just wanted to mention - I've seen a number of members say we don't need the mods. My opinion - we NEED the mods. The mods are kind of like the police wandering around the happy little town just in case a serial killer suddenly pops in for a visit. There are many new members all the time, and we have no idea who they are until they start interacting with us. Maybe the reason everything works so nicely right now is because we have the mods.

You can have too many mods. They tend to argue over decisions and thus spreads hate. Just be carefull.

Who are the current DUs? OCK Takelow and somebody I guess? Only OCK out of those two is DU. The DUs are OCK, Linque and Kapbam- Linque and Kapbam aren't too active, and OCK isn't getting too actve... anyway, you can tell if someone is distinguished if their name is red, or by clicking on distinguished users at the bottom of the board index to see a list of them.

hamsalad for DU Not trying to be negative about him, but why? He only contributes stories....a DU should deliver QUALITY posts and should contribute often (like Killian and some others) with news from LBP etc.... Maybe we could have DU's for different sections. oh wait, that's almost the same as a forum ledby.

Don, I don't think he means it. It's just, you can't have too many DU's, and Killian has contributed a lot by posting news and Ccubbage plays almost every level in the Level Showcase section. Those are the two that I think should be DU's by the way.

I think we need to remember that DUs (my acronym caught on :O) aren't just there to reward them for being good- ideally, they should be the first people people go to to ask for help... I think so, anyway. Anyway, I know distinguished users are able to post stuff to front page right away because they are trusted to- from what I've seen, Killian has been able to too already... if he's trusted enough for that, I think he is definitively trusted enough to be distinguished . Plus he's always helpful, and yeah.

OCK has just moved countries and oviously been busy sorting that out. Also his PS3 is still in shipping as it hasn't arrived yet. I'm sure once he gets settled and gets his PS3 back, he'll be a lot more active
