Okay, with the latest system update, we can now chat, via mic or via text. Because not all of us are privelaged with mics, we should have an official LBPCentral chatroom, to use whilst we play LBP. Good idea, No?

Would we not have to be on each others friend lists? For example, if I host the room and I got e.g. The_Killian on my friendlist, I invite him. Then he can Invite others on his friendlist from LBPC, that are not on mine. So basically I invite only you, and you invite everyone else from LBPC on your list. bleh,I just woke up, hope you understand.

Currently, we don't have any plans to support an in-game chatroom. It doesn't support the kind of environment we'd need to be able to promote it as an official chat.

I guess. It wouldn't be hard to simply create a chatroom on your profile called "LBPCentral" invite a few people, and let them do the rest though, surely?

From what I've noticed during my stay here, they probably would allow YOU to make one, just not make it official. so yeah, you can probably make it yourself if you want...

Just make it and then everyone start inviting people. The chat room will basically always be open and it holds up to 16 people at any time. I think it's a great idea. For those of you that haven't used the new chat feature, it really is good.

I can remember to talk with someone via the message titles. it's just like that. you can read what other people write in the chat and can write something just by pressing the PS button. So yeah, you can so to say chat while playing.

It's a good idea, but 16 player limit is harsh. If only it were higher. But we should really make one, as we could suggest ideas in other people's level as they are creating them, vice versa.

Primarily, there's the question of "who's in charge?". Nobody on the staff wants to keep tabs on a chatroom 24/7, especially since there's no way to deal with those who break rules. There's also the issue of having to be invited - you have to have a friend on your friends list who's both in the chatroom and active at the time so they can send you an invite. Plus, the 16 user maximum is a bit exclusive. I think the best way is for you guys to make chatrooms and just invite people you feel would best fit the chat. This way you can have more control over who's in and who's out, and we don't need to worry about people getting left out of the equation.
