How do I hook one of these up?
Archive: 8 posts
I've seen it in a few levels so I know it's possible. I think I remember seeing it in the "Distress in ocean" level. Basically you have a platform with two winches on either side supporting the platform. Using a grab switch I think....the platform would move along the winches one would contract and the other would reel out. AH HA here is a vid! THE 7:22 SPOT OF THIS VIDEO. YouTube - Little Big Planet (User Level by YAMAME3 "Distress in Ocean") I played with this for about 10 mins, but I couldn't get it to work right. HELP! thanks gang - killer | 2009-04-06 22:48:00 Author: thekillermiller Posts: 38 |
Wouldn't that work with two winches and a grab switch set for directional. Then one of the winches set as inverse? I've never actually tried it but I think that would work. I'm sure someone here has done it and has a much more tested answer for you. | 2009-04-06 22:52:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
I'm sure that all you have to do is set one of the pistons to inverted or whatever it is, or have you tried that already? EDIT- You will also have to start with one winch shorter than the other. | 2009-04-06 22:55:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |
Well, practically what they both said, just remember to set them to an about equal length and they should move at the same speed. | 2009-04-06 23:21:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I actually have that level in edit mode - I think the creator made it copyable. Copy it to your moon and have a look at the specific settings for each winch. =) | 2009-04-11 21:54:00 Author: DanC Posts: 433 |

Do you mean inverted? If so, there is an option in the grab switch tweak menu. Just set that box to ticked. | 2009-04-13 12:10:00 Author: SawronZXZ Posts: 463 |
