I just published my first story lvl.

The king needs ur help to save his daughter.

Its has a little bossbattle and lots of text bubbles to tell the story and help you on ur way through it.

Its pretty huge, and i almost used up my meter. It has taken a very very long time to get this finished beucause i wanted to make a perfect lvl ( in my opinion :-D ) that had everything, and to tell a good story. There is quite a few text bubbles on the level, but ive gotten alot of good feedback on it untill now.

And again, any feedback is very appreciatet.


Hope you enjoy this fairytale.

Sounds interesting - I'll try to play tonight and let you know what I think.


I tried to play it but had a problem right at the beginning. The sponge to ride up to the trees is stuck in the trees and there's no other way to get up there. So the only part I could see was up to the water. It looks cute so far but I can't comment more since I couldn't get to the rest of the level.

Also when I dropped in the level it tripped off your speech bubbles in the wrong order and before I even popped through the checkpoint. Then again when I came in the checkpoint. Might want to take a look at the radius of your magic mouths. Post if you get a chance to fix it and I'll try again.

hmmm very very strange its not happining when i start it. now i understand the low plays and bad ratings.

I really think its a cool, lvl with a fun puzzle boss battle and a ''cute'' story, but if its as bugged as you say, its very hard to play lol.

Ill try to find the problems.

ok i changed the start so it doesnt bug out, and the sponge thing you see, is part of a x2 player thingy, but i moved it so you cant see it.
Just move to the right and you meet the king and the lvl starts from there, the x2 in the trees need 2 players, and its ''just'' a bonus fun i made.

ok - played it last night and you've got a ton going on in this level! It's fun to play. I really liked the colors on the sponge X spinners in the beginning of the castle and the baby bears being trapped was interesting. There are just a ton of platforming challenges in your level too. They are tough but not frustrating. Really pretty design in some spots and a cool dragon! The strength of the level I think is how you have a lot of different textures and colors in there and they are really different but they seem to blend nicely together without being overpowering. There are a few sections where it's a bit much but on the whole it works very well.

I love that it's story driven too. It's a cute story and I'm a sucker for dragons.

I'm looking forward to more of your levels. Thanks for sharing them!

wow thx alot for the kind words.

I know there is ALOT going on, but im VERY glad it turned out the way it did.

There is some ''frustrating'' parts, trying to sort them out, just wanted to upload the lvl after 1-2 month of making. (i was alone 90% of the time making this one)

Really hope it get out to more ppl, but i for some reason those lvls ive made and my friends lvls are only played by less then 100, not that im making lvls to get hearted, just surpriced with how much you get here, and seeing a 15 secs rollercoaster getting 100000+ plays. Dont know if im doing anything wrongish.

But but im just glad you liked it and im 100% satisfied about the lvl and thats what matters.

LBP for the win.

If there is some parts you think i should change, my ''ears'' are open for suggestions, to balance the level.

You're not doing anything wrong. If you like what you're making there's nothing wrong about that.

I don't know how some of these levels get 1000's of plays either. It's a bunch of different factors that go into that. There are some threads on the forum here that talk about what to do to get more plays and more exposure but in addition to those tips it comes down to what the majority of players like to play.

There are some amazing levels on LBP that hardly get played at all. I've just decided that I'm going to make my levels the way I like and while I'm always up for feedback and constructive criticism - I'm not going to loose sleep trying to tap into what is going to get tons of plays. I think a lot of creators feel this way - or we wouldn't be creating.

I can't think of a specific area of your level I'd suggest changing though. It's clear you like it and if you're happy with it as is you should keep it that way.

Its all about sharing and show other ppl your ideas, thats whats making LPB so special.

And i dont lie awake every night becuase of it, was just wondering why :-).

Hey, I played this and really enjoyed it, but I got stuck.

In the part where you use the kings sticker to get lowered down into the secret area with the bombs - after I was finished and was going to get back on the lift - I walked all the way to the left, but happened to be in the forward-most plane. The lift took off without me (it was in the rear plane) so I was stuck.

I would suggest using a thin invisible piece of dark matter as you're walking to the left to force the player into the rear plane so they are forced onto the elevator. I didn't have time to go through the level again, but I was really enjoying it.

Im going to fix the problem asap, its hard to make a lvl which is 100% bug free unfortunately :-) .

He tells you to grab him, and a key appears. Then you take the key to the castle.

Im so sorry you 2 got stuck there, didnt think there was a problem there, really hope you wanna play the rest which is bug free as what i know off.

Ok i have now republished the lvl with the ''secret'' room elevator. I have made the 2 first layers as glas so you can see through.

Hope you both will play it again, in its hopefully 100% fixed state, and im sorry for the uacceptable bug, never experienced it while playing it.

Playing again just now. There`s a problem I noticed that`s easy enough to fix.

Just after you dodge in and out of the white creatures, you drop down to a corridor with plasma blasts. They come right along to the end and can kill you rather unfairly and without chance to dodge them just before you reach the checkpoints.

I suggest knocking a second or half second off their lifetime so you don`t have someone jumping down, landing on a plasma ball and getting sent back to the start of the corridor above.

Also, right at the end, just before you meet the bride, you have a paint switch to shoot. I think the idea is that you shoot it and a platform comes down, but the platform was already down when I got there so shooting it did nothing that I could see.

Only other thing is that there are a load of proxomity switches visible which I'm not too keen on, though that`s a personal taste thing.

Good level, 5 stars and a heart from me.

Theres only a couple of switches that are shown on purpose.

Gonna go fix those things you mentioned, it had to be flawless.

The platform may be something you can`t avoid. The end part was going a bit haywire. You have a stone wall that is painted entirely white. As i was walking past it, the paint would flash on and off depending on what part of the screen I was on. I'm guessing your thermometer is ready to burst?

The visible switches were all at the end, when people were talking.

Don't worry about me - I experienced the bug, but then went through the entire level again when I had some more time. This level was fantastic - a lot of great gameplay here. I also, as Mat mentioned, saw the sticker issues near the end - but felt like you had packed so much into this level it was forgivable.

Yes my meter is as high as it can get with the paintgun on the lvl, because even if poblished the meter is still there and paintgun ammo takes up meter space, not much but some. But at the end the when the back wall keeps changing from the white sticker to the original material, is out of my hands. Tried to delete the wall and redo it without any change. I guess its becuase my meter is full.

The proximity switches are also now hidden as they should, and the paintgun door at the end is also where it should be now.

Again, im just glad you like it, and had a great time, thats what this community is for and there is simply so many completely awesome levels out there.

Keep giving me feedback if you have any suggestions or you find some bugs of some sort

yeah just saw last night, i must say im very surpriced to get it. But also like to thank you guys and gals to help me fix my lvl so it is almost bug free and more fun to play now.
