The Heavy Metal Mullet Planet Tribute Part 1 + 2 - Leather-Monkeys/Leather-Monkeys - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=8541)
Description:
This two-parter is a remake or 'tribute' to the amazing Heavy Metal Mullet Planet Advert. Everytime I saw this advert I thought to myself, this would be 5 start stuff if it were published! So then i thought, if they are not gunna publish it, I am! Part 1 and half of part 2 build up to the scene you see in the ad.

Almost all levels are on flat ground and very boring paths, I wanted to get rid of that and make it so you get about how you want and go explore where you want!

You arrive at the Heavy Metal Mullet Planet, a world that lives on heavy metal, only to find that the other genre's are trying to take away the planets music (just like in real life ). Its your job to find the 'Rock God' and help save Heavy Metal Mullet Planet! - Leather-MonkeysOur Thoughts:
I think this creator crawled into my head, pulled out all the rock and roll imagery from my dreams, and splattered it on the LittleBigPlanet canvas..... this level ROCKS! I was absolutely blown away by the visuals, the sound, the gameplay.... this level is undoubtedly one of the coolect levels I've ever played. Now, that may seem like unbelieveable praise, but go check this one out - absolutely incredible. WARNING: You may find yourself on top of your coffee table HEADBANGIN'! - CCubbage
I was astounded when I first played these levels, the sheer amount of things going on at once will rock your socks off. The amount of details and thought that obviously went into this is second to none. From the well crafted characters to the guitars you use as platforms, Leather-Monkeys has created a outstanding world for you to explore. Put on your favourite band t-shirt and heed the call of the rock god, music fans everywhere need your help. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3468/3210917156_f93b7cd528_o.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3417/3210070279_d7fd5e117b_o.jpgJourney to the Center of the Earth Parts 1 and 2 - ccapel/criffer - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9724)
Description:
Falling rocks, treacherous lava flows and giant Sack-eating plants have proven themselves no match for our brave explorers. But what dangers lie even deeper beneath the earth's surface? And can Sackboy fathom the ancient secret he is about to uncover?

Part 2 of my Journey to the Center of the Earth series is officially published! Let me know what you think! - ccapelOur Thoughts:
I think all of us are intrigued by the unknown. Exploring strange and enchanting places is difficult to resist. So when I saw these levels appear on our showcase, I immediately went in and played them. I was not disappointed. Both of these levels truly capture the feeling of plunging into the unknown - a beautiful yet dangerous place beneath the earths surface. And each level takes the visuals and story in a unique direction - from volcanic activity, to gorgeous moving rock formations and an authentic looking waterfall. However, don't expect to stare for too long - these levels also have incredible yet challenging gameplay. - CCubbage
Have you ever wanted to play a level to the finish so badly, just to see what imaginative and beautiful scene will appear next? That's the experience awaiting you in these vivid and well crafted levels. From the largest cavern to the smallest flower the artistic nature of these levels cannot be denied. The color choices combined with excellent material choices set the mood of an otherworldly landscape for the player to explore. Don't let it's beauty fool you though, there is danger here, and plenty of it. This level has some of the most precise and challenging game play I have ever played in LBP. There are sections that will tolerate not even a little extra swing or placing one sack boy foot in the wrong place. Rather than detracting from the level, it augments it's level of sophistication. This is a level to conquer, not just play. - Morgana25
The first thing that hits you on these two great levels are the visuals, they are excellently produced, giving you plenty to look at and enjoy and you progress. The levels also show a great progession in looks and style between the two episodes, mixing things up the second time around to keep the player intrested. The platforming elements are well designed and thoughtout, challenging but never to hard and always making you willing to replay, to defeat them, and see what other fantastic ideas the creator can think of next. Prepare to be blown away by the visuals and taxed by some excellent platforming. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h170/capel3d1998/JCE_3.jpg
http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h170/capel3d1998/part2_2.jpgAsteroid! Pinball - Thegide/Thegide - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9532)
Description:
Earth is in trouble! A massive asteroid threatens our homeworld. Armed with only a silver ball, you must defend the planet! Only a high score can save us!

Although this is my 3rd level release, officially, what you are looking at is my very first LBP level creation. Previously called "Pinball Wizard", this level sat uncompleted on my moon since November. It was published very briefly, but ultimately unpublished because of so many bugs. In it's original form, sackboy was the pinball, and I just could never get this to work well. Having seen Wexfordian's pinball series recently, I finally figured out how to make this level work. Anyways, The table design is relatively unchanged since November, but new gameplay elements, completely redesigned game mechanics, and a visual facelift have been added to give you an incredibly realistic pinball experience! - TheGideOur Thoughts:
Ok, I admit it - I can't get enough Pinball! In the last few weeks, I've problably spent over 5 hours playing FANTASTIC Pinball games in LittleBigPlanet. This Pinball game, however, sets itself apart by looking and acting like a real AUTHENTIC pinball game. If you're one of the few that haven't played it yet, sit down and put this puppy on. Make sure you've got the time though - it may be difficult to turn off! This level may end up on your permenant playlist! - CCubbage
This is a seriously fun level! It absolutely has a table game feel to it, so much so I found myself wanting to smack the edge of the controller to nudge the ball sometimes. The sounds, the lights, the movements of the various parts of the table are set up so well I sometimes forgot I was actually playing in a LBP level - it just feels so authentic. There can only be one pinball wizard in the number 1 score place at a time and you'll want to try again, and again, and again! - Morgana25
A superbly designed pinball machine that has the looks, sounds, playability and addictiveness of any full sized Pinball table you dare think of. The amount of the things going on at once is astounding, lights flashing, sounds playing and the ball hitting many triggers and bumpers. I've got nowhere near the high score yet, but its not from the lack of trying. Once I started, I simply could'nt stop. Prepare for this to eat away at your LBP time!! - GrantosUKMedia (if available):7xM8xnsO5O8Little LOST - frizby/frizby - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9748)
Description:
Obviously, it a tribute/parody of the show, and I think fans will really enjoy it (assuming they can take a joke). - frizbyOur Thoughts:
Ok - I'll be honest - with the exception of the pilot episode I've never actually watched Lost. That said - even for a non fan of the show this is a really fun level to play. The quirky sense of humor about the characters and some of the rules of the show come through loud and clear - even to a non fan - fans should find this level even more enjoyable. Some of the characters from the show make cameos, of sorts, thanks to creative sticker usage of their photos. There is a lot of custom made content to check out and fans will recognize some of the important places from the show. The icing on the cake for me - two words - smoke monster. Oh I've seen plenty of gas in levels but I've never been chased by it, until now. Don't get Lost playing this fun level! - Morgana25
I played this level once because I saw it on the showcase... then 3 more times simply because it was great! This level does it's job perfectly - it contains fantastic core material that every LOST fan will enjoy, yet adds a tongue-in-cheek spin on it that will leave you with a big smile on your face. However, it doesn't compromise in gameplay - this level has some fantastic plaforming that will leave you satisfied. - CCubbage
I only caught the first two series of Lost, but that never detracted from my enjoyment of this level one bit. Very well crafted, with excellently designed sections that I immediatly recognised, the black fog chase especially standing out. Frizby has combined every series and wonderfully stickered main characters into an enjoyable romp through the island. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3612/3362480589_805e7e8fab.jpg?v=0

Description:
Trapped in a box! Avoid the turrets and waste chute for as long as possible! (1 player survival challenge) - KillianOur Thoughts:
The first time I saw this game in action I thought "Why didn't I think of that? Brilliant!". Here's the drill: stick Sackboy inside a box and force you to avoid danger while bouncing up and down on a conveyor. How well does it work? Brilliantly! This little gem packs a lot of depth, challenge, and strategy into a small package (pun intended). - CCubbage
This is probably one of, if not THE best survival challenge in LBP. How could you not enjoy Sackboy in a box? It made me smile the first time I saw it, and still makes me smile now after playing it countless times. Its extremely well designed, planned and created. My only problem with the level....far far to addictive for its own good. Go help Sackboy in a box survive now.. you won't regret it. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/littlebiggallery/images/455/large/1_A_Photo_1.jpgLittle Big Apocalypse - Episode 18 - Snowspot/JonMartin - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9616)
Description:
This is probably unlike any level you have played...maybe that is an overstatement, hopefully not . I don't want to ruin it but the level starts out very similiarly to other episodes but soon takes a drastic turn. You'll notice it. If it seems like the story seems to take a backseat this episode, you'd be wrong. This episodes has many elements that will come together in the final episode(Episode 20). - SnowspotOur Thoughts:
I'm jealous. I create cute little fun games, but I WISH I could truly create a masterpiece with the depth of Snowspots 'Apocalypse' series. Every few weeks this creator churns out something even MORE cutting edge. Having played all the rest of this series, I walked into this level thinking I knew the score - but very quickly the story shifts into a twilight zone moment that actually gave me goose bumps. And the visuals are different from anything else I've seen - EVEN in this series. - CCubbageMedia (if available):http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs022.snc1/2645_514407621272_43100610_30961601_5630841_n.jpg

Description:
You are Sack Ryan, an S.I.A. agent searching for a secret submarine that has disappeared. You'll need both brains and reflexes on this hunt. Are you up for the challenge?

This is another one of my movie-themed levels, this time based on the Tom Clancy classic novel and 1990 film, The Hunt for Red October. It follows the storyline of both the film and the book, but players need not be familiar with the story to understand and/or enjoy this level. - TaffeyOur Thoughts:
From the moment I entered this level to the end, I was struck at how creative and fun it is - every section of this level is packed with innovative gameplay. Enjoy an exciting helicopter flight through electric clouds, a fantastic voyage in a submarine, and a few incredibly clever puzzles - this level finds many new ways to keep you entertained! - CCubbage

Clever visual effects, interesting puzzles and some really unique gameplay await players in this level. It's a well rounded level with a little bit of everything in it. Fans of vehicles can look forward to a cool helicopter ride, a submarine that submerges below the waves, and a sack sized sub you can pilot through a treacherous trench. Puzzle fans have two styles of puzzle to figure out, both of which are clever and fun. Fans of visuals will appreciate the levels attention to detail and understated design style. There's even a paintinator battle for action fans. It's a fun level that offers a lot of options for adventures under the sea. - Morgana25
Generally when a vehicle based level is mentioned, it gives every LBP player a shudder down their spine, bad memorys of ramp and countless race levels immediatly spring to mind. Well, let me tell you, Taffey really has broken the mould. Join our hero Sack Ryan on a hunt for the enemy submarine by taking a plane, a helecopter, then your own mini-sub solving ingenious puzzles along the way. Great to look at, even better to play, this is one of my favourite levels so far. Play it, you really won't regret it. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):CSgHb-xo4l4Unhearted: Drakes Misfortune - GrantosUK/GrantosUK - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9924)
Description:
After creating to many levels that did'nt get enough hearts to stick on cool levels, Drake hears of an artifact that can grant him unlimited hearts and plays. Can You help him retrieve the artifact and get him playing LBP again?

You can find the usual things in this level as you will the rest of mine, platforming, puzzles and secret areas to find. I created this with a view to it being fun to play. I think you'll enjoy getting the artifact.
- GrantosUKOur Thoughts:
GrantosUK has a real talent for consistently creating great gaming goodness with a lot of replay value. This level is beautifully designed, has some fantastic puzzles, some great secrets that keep you coming back for more, and is a tribute to all those creators who have put their blood and sweat into a level as a present to the LittleBigPlanet community.... only to be thwarted by a quickly thrown-together level with almost ALL Media Molecule content which then proceeds to capture the hearts of 6-year-old gamers everywhere. Thank you, GrantosUK, for this little treasure! - CCubbage

If ever there were a level made by a creator for creators it's this one. GrantosUK delivers another fun, smart and challenging level complete with all the great artistic design players have come to expect from levels from him. Join Drake in his quest for "cool page" superiority and enjoy the view, the puzzles, the secrets and the occasional LBPCentral.com reference. An entertaining level you'll need to play again and again to fully appreciate all it has to offer. - Morgana25Media (if available):http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr285/grantosuk/APhoto_1-2.jpg
http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr285/grantosuk/APhoto_3-2.jpgLittle Dark And Stormy Night - Dobi6/Dobi6 - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=10050)
Description:
I tried to go very atmosphere heavy on this level. Little Dark And Stormy Night is based off old horror films. I chose a black and white style to create a feeling of gloom and doom.

You start out stranded in the rough mountainous terrain. Your carriage broke down a while back, and you are in trouble. Weather is coming, and you need to get to some shelter. You had heard there was a castle not to far away that might provide you some shelter for the night. The only problem is that there are all sorts of rumours about the castle. It is said that no one who has gone into the castle has come out. - Dobi6Our Thoughts:
It's fantastic to see a creator reaching out and trying new things. This is Dobi6's third time in our spotlight, and deservedly so. As I was playing through this dark, forboding level I just kept thinking "This is absolutely gorgeous!". This level ranks right up there in ambient beauty with some of the best levels I've seen, but also contains fantastic - and NEVER cheap - platforming. Every inch of Dobi6's little world is worth exploring. Go experience it for yourself.... and bring an extra pair of undies! - CCubbage

We've all heard it around a campfire or at a sleepover, "It was a dark and stormy night..." This is the beginning of countless tales of dark places and sinister characters. But now, thanks to dobi6, players can now insert their own sack boy into this richly beautiful and gothic landscape to experience a new story. The ambiance of this level is spot on for any classic horror film and is a great example of the black and white color correction option used to superb ends. The design throughout the level thoughtfully done and shows the kind of depth a creator can achieve using only 7 layers of space. As brilliant as dobi6's artistic work is, the gameplay is also exceptional. Secret places, precise puzzles, and quick combinations of jumping will keep you on your toes. So come, if you dare, and experience for yourself a level that truly has it all. - Morgana25

When I first loaded this level I was blown away by the visuals and detail that Dobi has added to this level, they are simply outstanding, and create a perfect spooky atmosphere. When you add in the fantastic puzzles, challenging platforming and a great boss, this level reaches the higher echelons of LBP goodness. A work of pure genius that should not be missed at all. - GrantosUK

Chroma Stone Chronicles: Part 3 - Cerrulean's Gem - Morgana25/Morgana25 - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9804)
Description:
This is a water level. Dive below the waves to seek out Cerrulean, the blue fairy. Defeat her guardians and you'll earn the Saphire Light Gem. There a fish to ride, starfish to see, jellyfish to avoid, octopus to run around, sea horses with attitude, and a friendly ray to ride. I had to build this level twice as it's first incarnation fell victem to the failed to load level bug while on my moon. (BACKUP YOUR PROFILES IF YOU CAN) This second version has much in common with it's predecessor but having to redo it helped me get a better flow I think. - Morgana25Our Thoughts:
Morgana25 is back with another entry into this beautiful series - but this time she takes us deep into the ocean. The style here is unmistakable - multiple paths, carefully drawn custom content, and a fairy-tale-like atmosphere. This is a level everyone can enjoy, with simple gameplay and an engrossing story. So sit back, relaxe, and enjoy the continuing tale of 'Chroma Stone Chronicles'!
- Ccubbage

Morgana has once created another gem in the Chromo Stone Chronicles series. Now venturing underwater in your quest you are pitted against some wonderfully designed underwater creatures and great plaforming sequences. As Ccubbage said, the style in the level is unmistakable, beautifully crafted and designed, allowing the player to take multiple paths across the level. I really can't wait for part 4, and the continuation of a wonderful series of levels. - GrantosUKTower of Hope - sny/sny83 - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9437)
Description:
Make your way up the perilous Tower of Hope, but don't let the noxious fume oozing from below overwhelm you... You MUST have hope! Inspired by Ayreon's music and Toxic Tower from Donkey Kong Country 2. Feedback is much appreciated! - snyOur Thoughts:
This level is the epitomy of a well-designed hardcore game experience. Designed as a race to the finish, every piece of this hectic puzzle is designed to challenge your platforming skills, your intellect, AND your patience. However, there is not one piece of the puzzle that is cheap. Fantastic job - this level gave me a great sense of accomplishment! - CCubbage

"Hope springs eternal" they say, but you won't have eternity to finish this level. Put your platforming and puzzle solving skills to the test all while staying one step ahead of certain doom. A smartly designed level that looks as great as it plays. Can't rise to the challenge of hard mode? Not a problem sny has thoughtfully provided players with an easier version of the level. Both versions will keep your mind and your X button active. A great level, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. - Morgana25
Harking back to the challenging platforming days gone by, sny has devised a taxing climb through a wonderfully detailed tower. Keeping your pace over extremely well designed platforming sections is a must if you don't want the ever-rising threat of gas to overcome our freind Sackboy. Do yourself a favour, skip the easy mode and this level will test your test your skills to the max. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/littlebiggallery/images/3676/medium/2_towerofhope_2.jpg
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/littlebiggallery/images/3676/medium/1_towerofhope_4.jpgHeart of the Flip-Side - Trindall/Tridall - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=8656)
Description:
Travel through the heart of flip-world as you try to find a way out. A moderate to difficult platforming level where you play across the eight faces of a rotating 'plus' shaped level. Unique challenges that change as the level rotates as well as an unlockable Dev Center for a behind the scenes look into the making of the level. - TrindallOur Thoughts:
I'm always looking for fresh new level ideas - and this level definately delivered. Between the walls becoming the floors and the interesting camera angles, sometimes I didn't know which was was up. But add onto that an enormous amount of creative platforming and you have 'Heart of the Flipside'. - CCubbage
I was amazed when I first witnessed the wonderful mechanics that this level was based around. It will (literally) tip you on your head when the walls become the floor, and a wealth of new platforming sections open up. Immaculate design, planning and implementation make this level utterly unmissable. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/6638/aphoto18ho5.jpg

http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/8463/aphoto19zu4.jpgLittle Big Thief: Lord Bafford - Fjonan/Fjonan - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9742)
Description:
"Tonight Lord Bafford is out of town. The perfect oportunity to steal his precious crystal scepter. I wonder if this is going to be as easy as it seems ..."

I finished my first level. Inspired by my favourite game of all times "Thief" from Looking Glass Studios I try to create something that catches the dark atmosphere but is is still a LBP platformer with some new ideas - a very unique visual style - and a lot of secret areas for those who want to beat the top score. - FjonanOur Thoughts:
Want to be a thief? Now you can in this wonderfully designed platformer. Sneak into a mansion, up through the wine celler, and navigate the well-crafted rooms using your specialized hamster wheel! This level packs a lot of great gameplay and surprises into a nice pretty package. And keep in mind, just because something in a level doesn't make complete sense, doesn't mean it isn't a blast to play! - CCubbage
One of my favourite game series of all time brought to LBP, and I was'nt dissapointed when I played the level. Some ingenious platforming devices that will keep even the best theives on their toes as they attempt to make their way through the mansion. The level looks great, plays well, and is enjoyable from start to finish. The hamster wheel section at the end is superb, and extremely well thoughtout. A highly recommended level, what ever you do, just don't get caught. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://www.fjonan.com/lbp/littlebigthief02.jpg

http://www.fjonan.com/lbp/littlebigthief03.jpgNorthern Witchcraft - BasketSnake/BasketSnake - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9743)
Description:
This is my new level. It's part one of two. It got so detailed that I'm making a second last part. In this first part you head into a little town called Detailia....because it's so detailed DOH. There's a story to it. The town is PLAGUED by a witch and you need to enter the haunted woods to find and stop her. - BasketSnakeOur Thoughts:
Fans of Tim Burton's work will find a kindred spirit in BasketSnake I think. Northern Witchcraft may be shorter than some levels but what it lacks in length it makes up for in style. From the moment you pop into this little world you will be greeted with small, but charming details. The custom designed buildings are unique and are a preview to even more stylized content to come. Graceful, but eerie swirls, are a beautiful backdrop to even more eerie "peek-a-boo" trees that are very cleverly done. This level isn't fraught with danger but the trip through this dark and beautiful world is definitely worth it. - Morgana25
This creator should be hired by Terry Gilliam as an interior designer - I spent a lot of time just wandering around this level looking at the incredible detail in the custom content. Yet, the story was also engaging and had some wonderful surprises. BasketSnake has truly created a cinematic experience worthy of your time. - CCubbage
This level is perfectly created. The custom content, from the characters to the houses is excellently designed, it definetly has its look and style that I never seen on LBP yet. The forest looks suitably eerie and creepy and the tree characters that appear from the background add to the overall visual flair. It certainly won't challenge your skills, but for an excellent journey through a wonderfully crafted level you can't go wrong. Give your eyes a treat and play this level. - GrantosUK
Below the Root - Chapter 1 : Green-Sky - mindphaser74/mindphaser74 - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9736&highlight=mindphaser74)
Description:
Tribute to the Commadore 64 1984 classic hit Below the Root. This level is the 1st of an extended series I've undertaken. Not my first LBP level though. It is an RPG with platforming elements.

You are a nameless citizen of Green-Sky; a village built entirely in a gigantic tree (or grund). You and the villagers seem oblivious to the dissaster unfolding as you go about your day helping the other villagers with various tasks and chores. How the rest of the story unfolds remains for you to discover.

Extensively playtested and adored by me and my wife.... - mindphaser74Our Thoughts:
There are video game players, and then there are role-playing game video game players. Confession, I am one of the later. Before there were the modern Final Fantasy and Elder Scrolls games, RPG's like Sword of Vermillion, Phantasy Star and Below the Root were keeping players immersed in fantastic worlds where, to put it simply, you were an errand boy/girl. Anyone out there who loved those types of gaming experiences will love this level by mindphaser74. I never played the game it's based on - but you don't need to to appreciate the complexity mindphaser74 has achieved here. The level design is non linear - meaning you can go almost anywhere to a degree. As you progress through the level you will be asked to complete tasks, bring objects or find things for the residents of Green Sky. Completion of these tasks opens new areas to explore and more to do. The story progresses slowly, one quest at at time. For players not used to the RPG style this level will seem to go on forever. It took me an hour to complete it one time through. Keeping a player active for an hour on an LBP level is an amazing feat. It's not for everyone but those few players who love this sort of game play will really appreciate the hard work and beauty it took to create Green Sky. - Morgana25http://s601.photobucket.com/albums/t...view=slideshowPrivate Eye: The Diner - Sonic5411/Super_Sonic5411 - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9725&highlight=Private+Sonic5411)
Description:
Mrs. Sackson was murdered and you are the perfect man for the job of finding out who did it. You are about to leave your office when you receive a call from the lady at the diner. She tells you that there is a suspicious looking character hanging out around the diner, so you head over there to check things out. This is based on those old detective movies, so naturally it's in black and white. I placed four clues throughout the level, and when you find a clue your score at the end of the level will be higher than if you just ran through the level. For some reason the screen shots came out in color. Oh well. - Sonic5411Our Thoughts:
Don your trench coat and fedora and hit the streets in search of a killer. This level has a great 1940's film noir look, office fan, old fashioned telephone, dark alleys and plenty or fire escapes to scale. The look of the level in black and white fits perfectly with the story. Watch your back on this level there are stray cats and dogs and a less than happy girlfriend. The music that is used, while we've all probably heard this tune a few times, takes on a new dimension when played in this setting. This level has a witty perspective on the classic detective caper. Sam Spade himself would probably say to Sonic5411, "You're good. You're very good." - Morgana25
Set out to find Mrs. Sacksons killer in this Film Noir setting, finding the clues the killer has left on the way. Perfect setting, looks and music for what Sonic5411 was looking to achieve. There are also some nice hazards dotted around the level to keep you on your toes, I especially liked the angry wife throwing the husbands possessions out of the work. A well crafted level thats a blast to play and explore. Hurry up with part 2!! - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo351/Sonic5411/APhoto_1.jpg

Description:
If you're looking for a rocket car to take you up a ramp to a scoreboard, then stop here. This might not be the level you're looking for. If you want a well polished level with puzzles, action and danger, then this might be what you're looking for. WARNING: This level may be too difficult for some player. ENJOY! - leadheavy52Our Thoughts:
Want to shoot down enemy planes? Take a walk with the dinosaurs? Scale a medieval castle's walls and see a dragon? Hunt for treasure on a pirate ship? The only way to do all of these things in one LBP level is to play Sack'n Through Time by leadheavy52. A fun level that has some great platforming elements and some impressive technology. The floating "video" screens are a cool visual and the custom content is nicely done. There's something for fans of any time in this entertaining level.
- Morgana25
Ever wanted to be in World War 2? Visit the dinosaurs? Catapult yourself in a Medieval Siege? Be a pirate or witness the creation of the earth. Well nows your chance, hop through time with Sackboy and join his adventures. This level is an excellent play, filled with a variety of challenges and tasks that keep you instrested right through. A lot of more worthy than the current rating would suggest.
- GrantosUK
This level packs so much story content and locales it's amazing! One of the things that really struck me was how much fun I was having - LeadHeavy52 has an unmistakable style which keeps the energy and gameplay going throughout. Climb on a dinosaur, take part in a war, or throw yourself to the top of the mast of a ship! This level is what LittleBigPlanet creativity is all about. - CCubbageMedia (if available):gbR2l8gd5b8
yeqpTxFHUWU00Sack - Betrayed - v0rtex2002/v0rtex2002 - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9880&highlight=00sack)
Description:
Can a double-0 really trust anyone besides himself? Agent Sack finds himself on a mission to retrieve stolen data from the enemy HQ. Plenty of platforming, puzzles and paint before we find out our hero's fate! - v0rtex2002Our Thoughts:
The word epic gets thrown around a lot in the LBP universe and I'm guilty of tossing it around every now and again. This level by v0rtex2002 really earns that label. It has everything you'd expect from a great level, nice details, clean design, challenging platforming and a good story. Where this level really starts to shine is the use of a sequential VR system. It's NOT just another paintinator level - don't let the splatter fool you. On top of this very complex and fun VR section v0rtex2002 gives the player an interesting puzzle to solve and an exceptional boss fight. So, "can a double-O really trust anyone besides himself?" You'll have to play to find out but you can trust that you'll say wow after finishing this epic level. - Morgana25
V0rtex2002 has packed an incredible amount of depth, gameplay, and polish into this fantastic level. This is not your run-of-the-mill MGS-style level. It has several innovations that will not only make your jaw drop, but will get your blood pumping. From the entrance, to a room puzzle that has to be seen to be believed, all the way to the final epic boss battle - you will have a blast! - CCubbage

The sheer amount of original features and gaming goodness that V0rtex2002 has managed to cram into the thermo is truely a joy to behold and play. The VR training section simply has to be played, I can guarantee you will be amazed by it. The level features some great ideas, from the puzzles to the platforming. And just when you think you've seen it all, an epic boss battle finishes off what is an awesome and wonderful level. - GrantosUKTRIAL of SEASONS part 1 - Sickivionkey/Sickivionkey - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9865&highlight=seasons)
Description:
Stop the FOUR SEASONS from fighting before the land is covered in eternal winter!! This is my third level and my third try at a boss, and I hope I've finally reached that elusive five star rating!! I've thrown in a few unique platforming ideas and both a vehicle and mini-game that I haven't seen anyone try before. I'd say the main features are simply the visuals and the old-school boss fight with WINTER herself. Parts 2 and 3 rely on your feedback! - SickivionkeyOur Thoughts:
Monkeys! Monkeys! and more monkeys! Ok, there's a lot more to this level than the adorable monkeys, but from the start of this level you can see the care that Sickivionkey has taken to create adorable and detailed creatures in an equally detailed world. Take on Winter herself, an otherworldly figure who commands the magic of the season. As you make your way to her lair you'll need to take on some very clever and interesting platforming. The boss battle shows off Sickivionkey's skill at articulation of limbs as Winter's hands form the gestures to conjure plasma and ice. The ramping up of difficulty and the various steps to defeat Winter made this a memorable boss battle for me. Just in time for Spring, go kick Winter's tush on this entertaining and beautifully created level. - Morgana25Media (if available):http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu57/Sickivionkey/Trial_of_Seasons/APhoto3.jpg

Description:
I revised my old beehive level and it looks prettier in my opinion. It looks like a real level with some style now. It's still based on DKC2's hornet nest levels. I gave up the lighting change and went with my original idea which looks better I think. The level is still a bit laggish but not as much as the previous version. I added a lot more stuff to it and polished some areas. Removed remixed revamped etc. You should try it!
- BasketSnakeOur Thoughts:
Another fantastic level brought to you by BasketSnake! Visit a group of busy bees that really just want sack boy to stay out of their way while they work. The bees are adorable but watch out, they sting. The strength of this level is in the details, humor and design. From overflowing honey buckets complete with bright yellow splashes, to the subtle honeycomb decoration in the back area of the level there are plenty of charming and sweet surprises in this beehive. The glass that is lit to look like beautiful amber colored honey is also a brilliant addition to the level design. Don't get too distracted by the view though. There are kamikaze bees and plenty of stingers with your name on them. If you manage to make it past the busy hive workers "bee" sure to check out the scoreboard design too. It's a honey of a level. - Morgana25
Bees are a lot of fun! I never used to think so.... but now that I've spent time inside of Honeyland I suddenly have a great appreciation for these little creatures. BasketSnake has done something special with this level - it contains a fantastic hive filled with areas to explore and great game mechanics. Grab hold of a bee and let him carry you to new areas. Drop down to the bottom of the hive and platform among a maze of glass. Every area of this level is dripping with fun - I would highly recommend it! - CCubbageInvasion On Planet X - DrunkenFist_Lee/DrunkenFist_Lee - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9973)
Description:
Hello, all you super-neato people! Just wanted to create a thread for my own personal favorite creation, "Invasion On Planet X". I think it's a pretty fun level so if you haven't played it, please do so! I think it's a pretty unique level, and hope you do too! Thanks for playing! - DrunkenFist_LeeOur Thoughts:
It's an alien invasion! Not to worry though - you're the alien. This level is funny twist on a sci-fi staple. The opening of this level is one of the best cinematic openings of a level I've seen and it's staged beautifully. After your "landing" you get to explore Planet X. The landscape design is well done but understated with small punches of lush details and beautiful lighting. The camera work in spots on this level are dramatic and let you get a look at some of the wonderful platforming elements DrunkenFist_Lee has set up. A quirky level and a fun one to play. - Morgana25

A nice twist on the alien invasion story buts you in the shoes of the invader! This level has a wonderfully cinematic feel, from the excellent cutscene at the start to the wide panoramic camera views of the awesome. Add in some wonderful custom characters, a great story line and some great looking waterfalls and this level deserves its place on this edition of the spotlight. What are waiting for, go invade that planet! - GrantosUK
Surreality 2: A Sojourn and the Case of the Missing Sunglasses - HardSync/HardSync - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9789)
Description:
I hate doing this... really hate doing this... but I've just published my newest level, "Surreality 2: A Sojourn and the Case of the Missing Sunglasses."

From the level's description: "If the adventure almost began in part 1, then it starts properly here. Battle vicious fire ants, take a dangerous ride, slip past some scary specters, and challenge the nappiest of bosses. Multipath, secret areas, two endings, and someone nicked your shades."- HardSyncOur Thoughts:
A fantastic level that looks good and has some great mechanics. There are also plenty of secrets of find with bonus points for explorers. The level has some great humour, frequently laugh out loud with some great dialogue. The best part of the level for me though is the "boss", its turns LBP boss encounters on the head and will leave you with a disturbing choice. One bad thing about the level, I never found out if coconuts really do migrate, I hope the boss never had the answer - GrantosUK
One of the best things about Little Big Planet is that creators can share their unique perspectives on the game itself, other players and the nature of the world in general with anyone willing to play their levels. When you step into this level by HardSync you'll find a refined sense of humor that is darkly charming. The puzzles and platforming aren't extremely difficult so most players will be able to enjoy this level in all it's thought provoking glory. It's a level that really just needs to be experienced by players in order to appreciate it's value. Like a great film players should not reveal the ending to anyone who hasn't played, it really should be experienced. Anyone not convinced they need to play this level yet need only view the video from xkappax. Spinal Tap and xkappax agree, "Play it... because, why not, right?" - Morgana25

Media (if available):8zrZ6ZQU_n0Save Die Reload! - CarlsonJeppe/CarlsonJeppe - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=9714)
Description:
I have created a puzzle based level, that plays alot different than anything else I have played in LBP. It's called "Save Die Reload!", and my user is "CarlsenJeppe". It is designed for single player only.

The level is solely based on gameplay experimentation, and does not have any story, or good graphics.
- CarlsonJeppeOur Thoughts:
What this lacks in the visual department is more than made up in the ideas and design. Using checkpoints and the death of poor Sackboy to navigate obstacles and puzzles is a masterstroke of design. Some very logical, but at first quite puzzling ideas make it an awesome level to test out your brain power. You will save, you will die, and you definetly will reload. - GrantosUK
You'll never look at a checkpoint the same way again after playing this thinker of a level by CarlsonJeppe. When you drop into the level you'll be faced with a pretty simple choice that seems to go against all your preservation of sack boy instincts. To progress you will need to use your noggin to maneuver checkpoints through some clever puzzles. It's a very unique experience and if you don't mind sending your sack boy into harms way on purpose, it's a fun level to play. CarlsonJeppe really is thinking outside the box on this level and you'll need to join him to finish this puzzler of a level. - Morgana25

Tiger Woods Mini Golf - Ccubbage/Cuzfeeshe - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=10118)
Description:

Ok, my newest level is a short arcade-style miniature golf game. It incorporates a unique golf-swing mechanic which makes it fun to play. On each green you get 10 balls and 3 targets - each of varying difficulty and produce points accordingly.

Check it out! - CcubbageOur Thoughts:
Help a head bobbing Tiger Woods play golf on some his most hardest fairways yet. Ccubbage has devised a wonderful mechanic to play the golf, hold the green to power up your shot and then watch your ball glide into everything from a sphinx, to a whale and a windmill. Hugely entertaining and addictive, you will definetly replay for a better score and to hit the targets you did'nt quite get to on your first playthrough. - GrantosUKCause And Effect 3!! - Rob29/TripleTremelo - Thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=10122)
Description:
So I'm here to advertise my newest device, called Cause And Effect 3. If you've played the first ones, this ones blows it away. It's longer and way more complex.

Let me know what you think! - Rob29
Our Thoughts:
Never before has not holding the pad while you "play" a level been more fun. Everything in the level is extremely highly polished and works like a charm. The visuals are great, and you will be amazed by all of the weird and wonderful contraptions TripleTremelo has used in this latest creation. Theres a great moment at the end that will certainly bring many old memories flooding back. A fantastic entry into a great series. - GrantosUKMedia (if available):http://hosting02.imagecross.com/image-hosting-06/9337A-Photo_1.jpg

Thanks for the spotlight!

I've played most of these levels but, there are a couple I haven't . I'll definitely take a look tomorrow.

Edit: Just thought of a new method of looking at a list of levels while on PS3 using the new update:

1)Access your PS3 browser, go to LBPCentral.com, go to this thread.

2)Copy and paste the levels into a message and send them to someone really inactive, or to a friend, explaining the list.

3)While in LBP, access your "Sent" box and view the list of levels.

Who needs in-game browser?

Thank you guys so much for coming back to Little LOST! I guess I'm over 15% now, and I don't even know how to check.

Also, thanks to everyone who gave me feedback. Most of the good ideas in Little LOST came from you guys.

Finally, congrats to all of the other spotlights. I've played most of them, and I'm humbled to even be mentioned in the same thread with them. Seriously.

There are plenty of ways of checking your activity, the most easiest would be clicking on your name on a post, your at 23% activity.

Also, congrats to all that made it on the Spotlight, if I have any time, I'll be sure to check these out and spread the word to a few of my friends!

If you've posted them in the Level Showcase before and they haven't been spotlighted, then they probably won't be unless they are absolutely spectacular and we somehow missed them. PM me a link to their threads in the Showcase and we'll take a look.

Honestly, all the levels were a joy to play. I feel privileged to have been asked to join the spotlight team, and more than over-joyed to play the fine levels that you given us in the last four weeks.

If this quality continues, then we will be over-run with oustanding levels, making the choice for Spotlight 11 that much harder. As the community grows the levels get better and better, more refined by the day. And that is not just the work of the people that were spotlighted, its the work of everyone that did F4F, and mentioned those small little problems you found and advised the direction for the creator to make the fixes.

Everyone should feel proud of this spotlight, because LBPCentral has once again proved that the very best LBP creators are on these forums. Long may it continue, and long may the levels continue to improve.

Essay over! And heres to spotlight 11! *raises glass*

No problem! I'll be patient, but I HAVE to know the way this story ends.

For anyone reading this (I KNOW we have a lot of new members).... After your general routine of playing through the spotlighted levels, schedule a couple hours, sit down... and play through JonMartin's Apocalypse series. Beautifully written, challenging, and the only experience I have found like this in LittleBigPlanet.

Question... My level on the spotlight list says video (as if there is a video there)... But when I click on it, nothing comes up. I know I have pictures there... And they show up...

But not sure what is with the video... I do know that I haven't shot any video of it... But has anyone? Or is it just a goof?

Probably just a goof. We use a template that we fill out which contains the photo and video sections. We probably just didn't remove the html tag.

Wow... I'm... completely flattered. What a pleasant surprise! I never expected to be picked for a spotlight. All of the other spotlighted levels I've played have been so good I just never even considered my work worthy to end up on the same list.

I can't believe this happened a week ago and somehow I looked right over it. That will teach me to spend time away from the forums!

Thanks to everyone for their hard work in playing and reviewing all these levels - that's a ton of work for sure. It's great to see such dedication to the LBP community. Now, time for me to go and play through the rest of the spotlightees!
