Few questions.

Archive: 12 posts

Question 1:

So during the Valentines Holiday I purchased a few costumes along with the valentines day pack. I was creating a level for my girlfriend and I think we had a power outage that day, and the system went off as the game was saving. After I signed back in and went to edit the level, it told me that I could not edit the level because one or more objects in it where not purchased, switching to play mode. Could this have been caused by the power outage, and is there a way to get the stuff I bought back?

Question 2:

I've seen quite a few levels with a material that looks like dirt, even though I can never find. Does anyone know what level that would be unlocked at?
Also, the neon materials for building, how would I obtain them?

Thanks in advanced.

Hi and welcome. I'm fairly new to all this myself but hopefully I can help you.

As far as the Valentines DLC is concerned you can get that back at any time. Just go into Playstation Store and view your downloads on the tab at the top right of the screen. This will show everything you have purchased and downloaded and you can simply select anything you want to download again.

You probably did lose it because of the power outage as it probably hadn't fifnished saving before it cut off. I lost all my profile data once due to it getting corrupted in the game and had to start all over again but luckily MM came up with a solution to get it back it again which was as simple as resetting the pod decoration ! I make sure to regularly copy the data to a memory card now incase it happens again.

The materials you talk of I assume are the rough stone for the one you say looks like dirt. I can't remember exactly where to get it . I would look in the popit and it tells you but i haven't got the system on just now but if you look on gamefaqs.com you'll find thorough walkthroughs telling you where everything is and how to get it.

Is the neon one you refer to like a grid ? If so it's probably the VR grid material which is in 3 colours ( blue, green and red ) and you get that with the Metal Gear Solid level pack. If you haven't got that I would highly recommend it because it's great value for money. You get 5 new levels to play plus loads of goodies such as new materials, music, stickers, objects and tools ( including the much used paintinator and paint switch ). Again there is a link on gamefaqs that tells you everything that's in it.

I hope this helps and if you get chance to check out my levels and leave some feedback that would be appreciated.

Good luck.

Everything is exactly what I was hoping to get answered, except the dirt looking material. I have the rough stone material already, the one I'm looking for is brown and well looks like dirt. It's used in the spring time level.2009-04-03 13:24:00

Hang on, I'll go and put the game on and take a look to see if i've got it.

Just had a look but it's difficult to know which you mean because there are quite a few browns. Some woods, metal and cardboard available from different levels. If you tell me exactly where you saw it I'll take a look now or you can add me to your friends list and I'll join you so you can show me yourself.

Ok, look for the level called Spring Time. It should be a popular level. After you swing on the leaves there's parts stuck together. Grass and underneath it is what I'm talking about.

Here's a link.

He swears quite a bit in it, so just a warning.

I think the material you're describing is actually the basic metal, which strangely enough looks like rock/dirt...

Maybe not, but I know that I spent a long time trying to figure out where people were getting this strange material until I realised that I'd had it the whole time!

The material your looking for is called Hessian fabric. I think you get it from a star sticker switch in one of the Gardens levels.2009-04-03 17:18:00

i'm pretty sure he's ussing sponoge/stone with some stickers on them, wether custom or a super-streched regular one made to make it look like that that's why you can't seem to find them like that in your materials.
I'll go check out which kind of stone/sponge he's using, but i can't help you if he/she used custom stickers.
You can always use sandpaper tho
Its a cardboard material that is meant to look like sand.
Or make your own, there are hundreads of ways to make sand/dirt.

Definitely Hessian Fabric. It's a type of sponge found in the Gardens, like Qugz said.2009-04-03 23:20:00

I actually don't think I have that fabric, and two of the levels in the Gardens are 100% complete. The skate one isn't though, so maybe I get it there. I'll look up a walkthrough and see where it is.

Thanks for the help everyone. Much appreciated.

I agree completely. It looks soft like sponge (not sure what variation of sponge). And had the Rust and Dirt Smear stickers. I use those stickers a lot. They are good for polishing levels.
