Formula 1

Well, the season began last week in Melbourne, Australia, where we saw Virgin BGP dominate throughout Qualifying and the race, though Rosberg initially set the pace. Hamilton forced his wa up to 4th, and was then given 3rd after it was found that Trulli overtook him under the safety car. This has now been changed, so Hamilton has been disqualified for not telling the stewards that he let Trulli through on the teams orders.

Personally, i think this is a load of garbage. Since the whole 'spygate' thing, McLaren have been given penalties for EVERYTHING that they have done. I am 16, but i have been watching it since i was 5, and going to grand prix since i was 6, so i feel i am fully entitled to the opinion that a) Mclaren are being picked out unfairly, and b) Bernie Ecclestone has no clue what he is doing.

But anyway, it is Malaysia this weekend, personally i will be up at 3:30 (UK time) to watch practice 1, and then i will be back up again at 6:30 to watch practice 2. I really am that sad lol.

So, does anyone else here watch it? what are your thoughts on F1, drivers, tracks, the sport in general?

I was bored of F1 since some 5 years or so and the Ferrari domination was boring.

Now seeing the results of the last race, it seems the new rules are bringing some fresh air and lesser teams might rise up. This will make things really interesting and I might start to watch formula1 again since it's getting back at RACING now.

It is definitley more interesting to watch now. But i just think taht the amount of times it has been ruined for me as a Hamilton fan (i have followed him for years before F1, i'm not just jumping on the bandwagon =]) it's been ruined by the constand hating and penalisation of him, for things that Ferarri would not have been afected by if they had done it.

The problem comes when your other team is the underdog team. Before Hamilton arrived, i was a hardcore Minardi fan.... and every team taht they evolved into... Now my second team is Force India... what can i say, i like it when you start a race with little expectation, but can be amazed at what happens, or almost happens *cough*Monaco, Sutil in 4th until Raikonnen hit him*cough* So when you support a team that doenst win or have much chance of doing so, it is not very good when your driver gets disqualified for doing what his team say... but yah, i'm glad the whole racing aspect is back now, with a lot more overtaking =]
