The PS2 is a dead console. They should have made it for the PS3. Shame. It's a PSP game that is seeing a PS2 port. Not the other way around. Sony does it because it would be a waste of money not to. The PS2 still sells a steady 100-120k per month. It doesn't want to die. Also, there's a price drop at 99$ starting this April. Watch it sell at 150k a month. Personally I own both consoles but I i'm to chose between playing on my TV or on my PSP it's obvious I chose PS2. This basically means I have 2 PS2 games to buy this year: -MotorStorm Arctic Edge -Jak 4 I can't believe i'm still seeing/buying PS2 releases!! .

The PS2 is still selling more than 100k a month everywhere in the world. This means it's ok to make new games for it. Let's not be egoistical. I prefer having a new Jak and a new Motorstorm than to not have... .

You guys whine because you don't get a new PS3 game? How about being glad there's a new PSP one? PSP people aren't worth releasing games for them? PS2 owners the same? God I find the reaction in this thread so selfish. There's plenty of PS3 games coming up. Plenty already there. It's been a while we didn't have a Jak and Daxter to play and not we will have one? Why being so negative? There's a new game coming out we might like and we whine? the hell? Is that because you're not owning the PSP or PS2? Tuff luck really. You guys enjoyed playing the previous Jak games in equally "****ty" graphics and enjoyed it so you might as well stfu? I'm happy to have new PSP games, this beautiful portable console was getting dusty. .

(daxter, god of war psp) + PSP to PS2 ports have always been awful. Ever played R&C size matters on PS2??....ugh. Jak II & III still look great today, their graphics are waaay better than this new game.

Lacking confidence on the dev is not a selfish reason but a true concern. As for the graphics quality I doubt there is an argument there. I value this game as a PSP game because... it's a PSP game. If there's a PS2 port it's awesome for people who'd like to play it on their TV or something. Let's say the PS2 port is just "a nice option". When God of War was released for PSP it was awesome. I wasn't like "ohhh it's not PS2 or PS3 *cries*". And about PS2 ports, I must admit that if you give me the choice between playing a game on my PSP or my PS2 I will choose the PS2 anyday. The controller is much more conformtable than a PSP and I like to play on my TV as the image will still be better than if I plug my PSP on the TV. I played GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories that way and it was awesome. .

I actually went back late last year and re-played all the Jak & Daxter games. Great stuff! I'll wait for the reviews on this one - if it's good, I'm all over it. I have to original 60GB PS3, so it will definatel work!

Plus with a new developer, this franchise looks like it's finally run its course and I really hate to say that because the J&D games are some of my favorite games of all time. same thing happened to crash bandicoot, spyro the dragon, and twisted metal (until black came out). We can only hope that ratchet and clank and sly cooper can keep on leading this genre.

Your logic fails because the PSP and PS3 are 2 different things in different market legs. One is a portable and another is a home console. Both coexist and both can receive exclusive games. Why would ALL new games should come out on YOUR favorite system? See, your post there fall again in the selfish category to me. As for the PS2 port I think it might be annoying but why do you care if you actually own a PSP anyways? Why would you want a full fledged PS2 game for anyways? Major efforts for new games are simply coming out for PS3/360 and Wii. Not last gen systems. Again just a reminder, some people don't own a PS3. Face it, there's more than 100 000 people in America alone buying PS2s EACH MONTH. Why wouldn't it be nice for those people to have more games?? Even if it's a PSP port its nice when you buy a machine and there are still games coming out for it. Really guys, the universe isn't focused on your belly button. .

And if my favorite band released an album only on vinyl i would definitely buy it. this actually happened with my favorite band tera Melos, on the album drugs to the Dear youth (my avatar picture). But i would have never bought it if it sounded like ****. It sounds awesome, and thats why I bought it, regardless if it was on vinyl or on CD. Same thing goes or this new Jak game, maybe if it looked awesome i would buy it but as of now it looks like utter ****, so i wont buy it. Simple enough.

LOL Doesn't seem to look bad at all for a PSP game. Not only it's early but there's almost no games that can look like God of War quality. God of War surpasses Jak even on PS2 so.. Anyways, what I find wierd is that if that Jak is only available on PSP you might like it but since now they offer you A CHOICE, you can have it on PS2 (IF YOU WANT) it is suddendly bad. Since when A CHOICE is bad? Especially from a offer/demand stand point it simply cannot be... .
