Questions about downloading and finding online levels
Archive: 17 posts
I feel like a total idiot for asking these questions, because I consider myself to be pretty tech-minded, but for the life of me I can't figure it out and am having no luck searching through google. So here goes: 1. Is there some way to download an online level?? If there is I don't see it and I could have swore there was a way. 2. Is there a way to view the levels you hearted? Like #1, I am having a hell of a time finding any way and it seems ridiculous to have the option to heart something without being able to view those levels specifically. 3. Is there a way to share objects that one player has found in the game with another player on the same PS3 (different account)? My wife sometimes plays with me but misses out on any objects I find in levels that she didn't play. 4. Is there a better way to view search results for online levels? Right now it's just a huge jumbled mess that's impossible to sort through... if you could sort them by rating or view them in some sort of list instead of on a planet, it would be way easier. Again I truly apologize if I sound like an idiot. I am usually quite adept at figuring out things like this, but this has me baffled. I'm wondering if there's some obvious menu I'm somehow missing. | 2009-03-29 01:45:00 Author: dagnillo Posts: 7 |
1. Download, no. You have to play it online. 2. Go to InfoMoon-Me-My Levels then press R1. 3. Story Mode or Community objects, no. Objects you create though, you can Send to a friend in the objects Tweak menu. 4. Go to Community-Search (to the right of the Community button). Adden~ Thas' alright. We all have trouble figuring stuff out now and again. (P.S. I'm 15 o.O) Everyone looks over things sometimes. (Like I had no idea you could change the gas color until I saw the gas in other levels.) Welcome to the forums BTW. | 2009-03-29 02:20:00 Author: SawronZXZ Posts: 463 |
Thanks I will give those a try ASAP. I really appreciate your help! As for #3, I'm referring specifically to costume parts. I assume that you're saying no, you can't share those with other players, since they are story mode objects. That's a bummer since I'm sure she doesn't want to replay all the levels I've played just for costume parts | 2009-03-29 02:23:00 Author: dagnillo Posts: 7 |
Some levels you may be able to download to your moon if you wish. if the option of 'copy' is there, that means it's able to be downloaded to your moon Just don't go republishing it as your own! :O You bad bad person! And you're correct about costume parts unfortuanatly. I'm guessing you know you can play at the same time with you being on your profile and her being on hers. Then even if one person collects the costume on screen, you both still get it Me and my gf do that | 2009-03-29 02:26:00 Author: ryryryan Posts: 3767 |

Yup I do, I believe it's the same as my account name here (dagnillo). I'll edit this post if I find out I'm wrong | 2009-03-29 02:35:00 Author: dagnillo Posts: 7 |

It's definitely Dagnillo, check to see if you have it spelled correctly. Otherwise, maybe you can check by email? Mine's the_d36@hotmail.com. Otherwise, you could give me your name and I could try it that way. | 2009-03-29 03:25:00 Author: dagnillo Posts: 7 |

I sent a request to you, I think. That is, if your name doesn't have the (O.o) in it | 2009-03-29 04:35:00 Author: dagnillo Posts: 7 |

Yeah, I recognized it, but wasn't sure if it was supposed to be part of your user name I think I got you though, it brought up an avatar so I figured it was either you or someone who coincidentally had the same name | 2009-03-29 05:15:00 Author: dagnillo Posts: 7 |

As your questions have mostly been answered, let me just say: Amen. No... the globes (Earth/ Moon) are the only ways to view levels and/or search results. It's a terrible system. | 2009-03-29 06:01:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |

I can see that many still don't know about the changes they made in last update. Ok, to his 4th Q. about search. There IS a way for better search When looking for key word(s) just put " around it and it will show you levels with exactly waht you wrote. For example, if you wanted to find my Rolling Thunder Survival Challenge, just writte "Thunder Survival" and only levels with that will appear. If you're looking for levels by author just put * around the PSN For example, if you want to fing my levels just write *Yarudark* and all my levels will be displayed and nothing more. This indeed has help me a lot, and seeing as how some people don't know about it i think i'll make a thread for it. | 2009-03-30 02:19:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Good to know. I find that the '@' symbol works before a PSN also. | 2009-03-30 12:08:00 Author: SawronZXZ Posts: 463 |
