A prize you actually might Use!

100% Custom Content

Here is some testimonials!

Just gave it a few tries. (Took a couple of deaths to get through!)

The music was brilliant, and great job on the moving/breaking blocks and working flag, art is some of the best too. Felt satisfying to break all the blocks for extra points, a nice touch.

Thanks Renvalka! I had a good time making it!

Played it and got the high-score, thanks to barely reaching the flag. Great level, much better than any other LBP Mario levels.

I appreciate it Sackdragon! I hope everyone else agrees!

What are you waiting for? Get out there, kill some goombas, break some bricks, and listen to the soothing sounds of Koji Kondo's master work!

ACK! yes! DKJestrup and Pitcard, thank you and thank you and thank you again! these guys helped me playtest this level and gave some amazing feedback which helped make this level as good as it is.

Okay, this was awesome.

You actually made a LBP-mario level feel fresh!! The music added a lot to the expierence.
I was very impressed with the breaking blocks, such a little thing but it adds so much.

I remember you talking about the creation of this lvl in another thread (propably in the projects category) and how you wanted to make it better than all the other Mario levels out there.
Well....mission accomplished Tjapan!!

One minor note, when I went down the tube it took a long time before the gate in front of the exit-tube dissapeared.

Yeah, i realize that kinda slows the level down, butif that gate doesnt stay up as long as it does, you die. so a few seconds of waiting, and the level doesn't kill ya.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really glad you liked it, and I'm hoping everyone else does too.
I'll check out your F4F levels and get you some feedback tomorrow, as it is 1:30 AM right now. Definitely bedtime for me.

Just posting to let everyone know this level is brilliant, and I'm glad I helped playtest it (why wasn't I quoted? ;p).

Also, I'll probably play it tomorrow if I remember!

I played it. It was okay. The boss were the best part, the rest were pretty simple.

I never found out if the fish at the water part could kill? If they can, it felt totally random avoiding them, which is no good, and you should add somekind of clear warning, before each fish jumps.

One small thing: Replace the two boss savepoints with a single double save point.

Actually, unfortunately, there must be 2 save points in the level because if there is only one, then it won't activate, since i had to destroy the entrance.

the fish can kill, and I made it where they jump in places where you will always be safe while standing on a platform. that way you have to time your jumps, and not worry about them killing you. A warning, before each fish jumps... I can think of no way to do that without it seeming rather strange. they splash when they jump, but due to this being a physics based game, they have to move pretty quickly to make any kind of height.

thanks for the feedback! this was really an exercise in making a music level that wasn't "sit on cart and listen" and it evolved to become a little bit more. I hope you had fun with it though!

I'll be checking out levels tomorrow, as a friend just had a baby, and we had no time to play today. thanks again for the feedback!

Wow, this level is really something else! It looks and feels like the other Mario LBP levels, but it plays completely differently I love you for it aswell!

Pros:
+Enemies, well-thought out and look perfect.
+Mega fun to play, because it looks great!
+Almost everything!
+Custom soundtrack is awesome
+Boss! Is! Amazing!

Cons:
-Fish are still quite hard, but easier than at first
-That's about it

Love the custom music and the overall look.

I'm not sure how you'd fix it, but I was pretty frustrated early on with how perfectly you have to hit the goombas and the timing of the ones that drop. Having one life meant that I had to restart several times...but I always did, just because this level was so interesting.

Well done!

Less than a 1:30 heart ratio?!! This makes me sad. Probably because they had to retry but meh. I would consider republishing, as this level really deserves better.2009-03-31 08:59:00

i may do that dk, I appreciate your enthusiasm and faith in this level, it's people like you that really make this game for me. I'll probably edit the goombas so that you can squash them a bit easier. I also have an idea to make the timing of the goomba dropper a bit easier. a quick project tonight oughta fix it up.2009-03-31 09:19:00
