Ordered my pc last night here's the spec:

Processor - Intel i7 2600k
Graphics - Ati Radeon 5830 HD
HDD - 1TB Western Digital 7200 32mb
Motherboard - Gigabyte...A really long series of letters and numbers of which I forgot
Disk Drive - Samsung 24x (Didn't spend much time on this one)
Ram - 2x2GB Corsair
Case - Cooler Master Elite 330(I think)
Sound Card - Using integrated for the moment will upgrade in the future
Power Supply - Cooler Master RS650
OP - Windows 7 Professional (As a student I get this cheap)

Came to around ?640 which I think is a bargain really.

Think this will be fit to run a server? Well of course it'll be able to but will it be better than whale's server is the question!

mc.gadgetzz.com, I'm OP there so if you need any materials/tools or anything like that just ask me (fogklapp).

EDIT: admin is currently fixing some stuff at the server so it's kinda messy atm.

I wanted to know if I can play ofline and online survival on the same map, and/or use it as a server?

You can use maps online and offline as long as you have the files. So if you have a map you made in single you can use it on an online server.

The only thing that really matters out of all that is the Ram and Processor and I have slightly more RAM and the same Processor. Your Graphics card and HDD are better but I don't think either of those apply to a server. So probably the same, maybe a bit better since your computer is brand new.

Also my server is up.

WAY TO SPEED UP MINECRAFT!

Gamebooster. Im not advertising it, but it works for those of you with laptops. It stops all of your processes that wont harm your computers performance, basically speeding up you computer! o-0 well, i have a dell inspiron, and my minecraft ran about 6-9 fps. now with gamebooster turned on, it runs 140-270 fps! To be honest though, it diddnt work the first time i used it. I had to turn my computer off and then back on to get it to work. try it out if you want! http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=5952&file=9&evp=dc8312b3c3f52e18c69b7584026d7aec

Can I have other educated opinions on this? I don't want to install crap on my computer like spyware or software sending information about my computer.

Not related to the link but I heard of a bug where if you set your system clock (was it an hour ahead or behind?) the game will run 2x times as fast. Mine things faster, move faster, etc.2011-04-13 04:26:00

I have tried Optimine already. Along with the CAF mod and Optifog.

None of those 3 mods worked effectively on raising my FPS DX

I'm not sure about that Gamebooster thing. It seems too good to be true.

yea there are a bunch of performance boosting mods out there. best bet though is to put yer graphics to the low setting (not thaat there is a ton o diff) and set the draw distance down lower than you got it. turning off the new lighting should help too.

as far as that gamebooster thing, anything that kills off excess processes and frees up resources should help performance. HOWEVER(!) killing off the wrong processes can do all kinds of bad things from crashing other processes to bluescreening your computer. Unless you know exactly what is being done, and what it is being done to, you SHOULD NOT go and just start killing off processes. Quite frankly, programs that do it automatically make me nervous.

If you play on Short or Tiny, you often get these freeze frames due to chunk updates. But it depends on your computer I guess. Turning off the smooth lighting does help though.

And I have to be honest the acheivments and statistics look finished, why cant he just release them!?!? /end rant

Did anyone try out that game AceofSpades which notch re-tweeted because I did and although the graphics aren't to great it's actually a very fun game. Try it out! http://ace-spades.com/ Jeb is adding a set of new rails though so I don't mind waiting a little longer. Power rails will either accelerate of brake carts depending on weather or not they are powered and detector rails will produce a redstone current when a minecart is on top of it. Seems like this update will be pretty useful to me.2011-04-13 21:12:00

Turn off fullscreen and shrink the window by dragging the corners, see if that helps.

Updates usually follow a certain standard. The number on the update usually means how big the update is.

For example. 1.4 came with wolves and all that good stuff. 1.4.1 Just took out the locked chest thing.

Developers usually don't go from one big update to another, which is probably the reason it was delayed. Since it's jumping from 1.4.1 to 1.5 it has to be a big update.

Just actually tried this, didn't actually seem to work. Normally smaller resolutions in games decrease lag.

Try decreasing the resolution of your whole computer monitor, that might help.

This is subjective here. MY common sense tells me that Notch better delay an update if it's for putting more stuff in and or testing it better before release.

Just like how many here had different problems and ides on what "would be best to add first," its like that all around, and with the devs, so they have tot think carefully what to add or not, even if it won't make sense to some.

Gah is the mc server kinda dead now?

Anyway look at this [CLICK] (http://twitter.com/notch/status/58802331071938560)

Pretty much you can no longer have any gaps between ladders. I wouldn't mind too much but it means that quite possibly many custom maps will get broken as some use ladders for platforming sections.(including mine )

So what do you guys think?

On topic with Minecraft being laggy for a lot of you, another option is to press CTRL + ALT + DEL. Open up your task manager, go to the process tab, right click the process "Java" or "Javaw" and select "Set Priority". Then select "Realtime" or "High".2011-04-17 01:15:00

I've been doing that for a while now. But only on "High", since some people said not to put it on RealTime.

EDIT:

I made tests and there's definetely some memory leak going on with Minecraft right now. When I open Minecraft, wait for all the graphic to finish loading itself, I am at like 560mb. After that it will get higher, gradually. After a couple of hours I was at 800mb. Did a "save and quit", booted the game again and I am back at 560mb.

What does the "realtime" priority means anyways? That this process is a priority only while a program using it is currently running?

Huh. I'd noticed that my computer gradually got slower as it ran Minecraft, which could be fixed by saving and quitting, but I never knew why. Maybe the extra memory is some kind of cookie that is built up from your play data; that would explain why saving and quitting Minecraft clears the extra memory.

I dunno know. I really dunno what I cookie would be used for, honestly. In my experience in software devellopment + the fact the game gained memory on me without me exploring therefore generating new chunks of land, I suspect the memory leak coming from something that's always there, always running, no matter what you do. Probably the NPC spawning. Notch retouched it lately for wolves and brown sheep so even make more sense that new bug could be introduced.

Anybody else looking forward to the occlusion culling on the update rather than the weather? I'm leaving out stats and achievements, those are the best parts of 1.5.

Quick edit: Occlusion culling is when the game renders only what you need to see, so it should reduce lag.

The OpenGL is the Occlusion Culling. Occlusion Culling just renders what you see, not everything around you. You need a good CPU power to have it run well, but it reduces the use of the RAM, so if you have a good enough computer, it should reduce lag greatly.2011-04-19 23:29:00

I noticed a great difference.
Without OpenGL, I run at 31-40 FPS on Normal fog, unlike before with 18-21.

EDIT: With OpenGL it still runs the same, but it's weird how my FPS improved.

I happened to get reain the 1st night on the new map I made, not really so bad lag-wise actually, at least not in "Fast" graphics.
Tho even when i changed to the "Fancy" graphics, it wasn't really that bad, it added the rain sound, a lot more rain and some other slight differences, but it didn't really lower my fps that much.

It was still well and playable either way.

Well, a I came into a few bugs. I started a new world and settled into a snow biome and guess what? I can't place any block or object on any other block that has snow on it! I can't even place it on the sides.
Has anyone encountered rain or snow yet?
They should have made it a little bit more common than it is now.

EDIT:

There's now a demo for Minecraft, provided by PCGamer.

Yes, they haz permission from Notch, obviously.
So I tried it out. You spawn in the same world, and same coordinates.
You start out with a couple of stuff.

lol? If you scroll down to the armor recipes and let it cycle through it shows a recipe in which you place "Fire" in the usual spots to make some armor that looks like some sorta chain mail?

Yeah, I have that chainmail armour in my cheating map, using INVedit. It also has minus 30,000 damage so it will almost never run out. (INVedit can change the damage levels, for those of you who didnt know. I even have a red rose in my inventory with a damage bar)

Chainmail armour is awesome, because it blocks ALL DAMAGE until it breaks. seriously. I can make a house out of tnt and set it off with me in the center and i'll be fine. I've also jumped down an enourmous TNT crater, and traveled back up by swimming up a lava fall. Yes, lava.

The Stats & Achievements will be a lot nicer when they are not stored Locally. They should definiatly be stored on Minecraft.net. I play on two computers and am a fan of stats so it would be nicer to have them online.

Apparently, notch said that they will be able to be stored online.

with sevenzip, I dove into the files and found a file called "Needheed_stats_unshared" (needheeds my username)

so, we will soon be able to share them, hopefully.

PS: does anyone have a SMP that doesn't use any mods?

someone on facepunch posted this.

It's annoying how rare rain and thunderstorms are in the minecraft world, so here's a way to force them to happen!

Firstly, download NBTedit
http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?t=7868

Launch the program and locate the world of your choice at:
C:Users*Username*AppDataRoaming.minecraftsav es

Open the world folder and select the level.dat inside.

http://i.imgur.com/WQLcP.png

You should be presented with this screen, simply change the values of raining or thundering from 0 to 1 to enable them. The rainTime and thunderTime values also affect how long the weather will last, setting them to something like 999999999 will make the weather almost permanent.

Hopefully I've explained this well enough for people to understand, enjoy!

also added this and demo to op

I remember on one server they figured out who was griefing the other players houses. they blacklisted him, right after we each took a block of tnt to his house.

What do you mean closes the game? When you start Minecraft, it opens in a small windows that doesn't take the full screen. Right there you press F11 (wich means "fullscreen on/off") and then your game will take the whole screen and run better that way.
If you are already in fullscreen mode, F11 make it return to a small window but there are some bugs. Most of the time the window doesn't minimise and stays black. In this game you can use "alt + tab" to get out of there.

Anyhow, the deal is to make sure that when are in fullscreen it's because you entered fullscreen mode (F11) instead of expanding the windows to fullscreen (little square icon on a window).

And if you're on MAC then I dunno. I speak for PCs running windows.

Same here. But it's only Minecraft. In some other games I play F11 does make it go fullscreen.

EDIT:

Everyone who's getting blackscreens, instead of pressing F11, try just expanding your Minecraft window with your mouse to get somewhat of the "fullscreen" resolution.
I tested it a bit and I did notice a slight FPS increase, but only by 2-3 FPS.

That's wierd because it's exactly my point. Using the true fullscreen mode makes the game running better than simply expanding the window. It's EXTREMELY wierd if you have a better FPS the other way around. I informed myself a tad more on what happens and why the game runs better in fullscreen (with F11) and it's because when you expand the windows, the OS isn't closing certain applications while when you get into true fullscreen mode, windows does close them and you gain alot of speed.
Long story short, it's a windows related issue and a Minecraft's one.

No dude. NO.
GameBooster is dangerous because it deletes your processes. Processes are vital programs that run aspects of your computer. My mom once deleted a process and we lost access to the computer for 3-4 weeks before we had to get someone to inject a new processor into the computer.

If you want to improve your performance, set fog to normal or lower, and then open task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and go into processes. Find 'java' and right-click on it. Go to 'set priority...' and set to 'AboveNormal' to little lagg, 'High' for minimal lagg,' or 'Realtime' for smooth performance. (Mind you, realtime is quite unreliable and could crash your comuter)

Uh, GameBooster gives you a list of all of the processes it's shutting down and shows what each one does. If you see one that is important, you can just exclude it.2011-04-24 23:40:00

Got into the Creature Server (started up by kootra, uberhaxornova, sly; all Machinima Respawn Directors).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT68kJAYK6Q

I played a little while after the video, made some chain armor with fire blocks I "stole", then when I went to another window and went back to MC, I had gotten killed by someone.
Went walking a bit more, then got lag so horrendous someone probably died, and then everyone started getting nicknamed '~meow' so that everything you typed would show that '~meow' typed it...then it lagged again so I had to quit, literally about 2-3 seconds per a frame.

I found out a "technique", don't know if it will work for anyone else trying to join the server...

When you first start up MC, enter the IP, and then try to connect to the server, you'll get the "Server is full...added to queue" message, I close MC, wait about 20-30 seconds, then boot it up again. Wait too early and it says you can't connect because of "bad login" or "stream ended".

The second time you start it up, you'll actually get added to the queue again, and you'll get a number. From there, disconnect, then quickly try to reconnect, and you'll see that you've moved up on the queue. Do this until you get in!

Also, don't lock your computer or anything as it seems to reset you on the queue so that you'll have to wait again, don't know the specificity of this but it's just a warning. EDIT: Apparently screen savers can mess it up too.

EDIT: Here's a picture I took while in the server after recording:
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn65/warlord_evil/success.jpg

What's weird is that if you notice the server videos that have been uploaded by them already, they have floating islands and stuff there, I guess it was all destroyed?

pretty nifty, dude.
some of those textures look nice.

i mix and match textures, so some of those would be GREAT for my fortress.

AND if anyone is actually interested, i have started a survival play through, if you wanna check it out here's the first GOOD episode.

That looks pretty cool, man. Lots of mods you have there.

Anybody know any good survival challenges other than the Island Survival and the 404 Challenge?

Air Canada Down is a great survival. Nova is doing a playthrough of it on his channel. What makes it more fun is if you make your own objective of getting off the island on a plane via plane mod.

I'm not up to favor to installing mods, but I did find this. Vechs' Super Hostile Series (http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1034&t=207989&sid=1b643978c945f8af394fe306ac922f73) I've only tried the first one, and it is brilliant.

Got into the server again and I spotted some Creatures!

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn65/warlord_evil/spotted3.jpg

Spotted DanzNewz innocently walking around...

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn65/warlord_evil/creature_fail1.jpg

ZeRoyalViking mistypes a command for...TNT.

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn65/warlord_evil/spotted1.jpg

ZeRoyalViking spotted under ice.

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn65/warlord_evil/spotted2.jpg

Took this picture for the pig but I noticed that Ze is flying right beside it.

The server is actually kind of boring if no one (famous) is there, and I don't want to build anything because I'm afraid it will simply be forgotten and griefed.
Also, the server does have rules now, such as no griefing and no PvP, but chances are you will still be griefed.
Gassy_Mexican was also on but only for brief moments and he would never say anything.
Another thing, my username on there is still stuck on "~meow", been asking for it to be changed back, but apparently only admins can do it...you can see that I posted once or twice in the chat.

EDIT: So I was trying user names in the Minecraft seed generator...try claptonfann and walk forward from the spawn (about 90 on the Z axis), some nice land formations.

So far i got the nether Sphere, the main sphere, the Snow sphere, and the grass sphere done.

And this is the Main project i'm working on, as you can see i still have a ton to do.

So has anyone fiddled with minecraftopia (http://www.minecraftopia.com/) yet? I hafta say its nice to have all that info laid out in an easy to navigate format. Its almost set up like WOWhead, now that i think of it....

Also, I'm in the market for a SMP server, as it seems the one i was on isn't....well....on anymore. Any suggestions?

Hmm. I have been looking around, and I've decided that perhaps having a server for us on lbpcentral(and our friends) would be fun. I'm looking at pricing for the things now, and am interested to know how many people would be interested in it, so i can get an idea as to what size server to rent if i went through with this.

Now this would be outta my own pocket, with perhaps some donation thing going if i couldn't pull it for a month or something, or we just get to big for our britches.

Comments, questions, suggestions?

If you do ending up doing it, I suggest branching out beyond LBPC.
Unless you want your server to die.
Slowly.
Painfully.

yeah. I was thinking of trying to see how the whole "hey, let my friend join!" thing went. but i suppose for now i'm just gonna server hop and try and find one that doesn't make me want to strangle people. more than i usually do, anyway.

I've found a good hosting service and try as i might, i cannot find anyone who's given them a less stellar rating than "Eh, it was pretty good." Most were talking about how the servers rocked and stuff. eh. but 30 a month is not something i'm willing to part with if there isn't gonna be a whole lot of use out of it. i'd have to scrape to make it as is.

perhaps in the future.

30 a month? Are you sure? Most dependable hosts I was looking at were 100+ a month, the minimum.

I've tried to host an LBPC server twice and both times have failed mainly because of how strict it was. If you want to host a server DO NOT make it a "Build a city" server. Those tend to die out fast (as seen with both the servers I hosted). Make it a Free-Build.

Hey, if you're looking for a good server, try out this one!
I'm an admin on it.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1025&t=336486

AND here is the map for the project im working on with some more stuff, and some explanation.
http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv89/joshofsouls/project2map.png
SAVE AND OPEN TO VIEW FULL ZOOMABLE PICTURE.

So here goes.
-------------
1. Crea village.
The main spawn in the world. It has a pretty decent design and a few buildings.
It has a bank, and warrior store WITH SHELVES AND STUFF. A diner, an art gallery, two places for rent, Sweet's awesome treats, a mysterious tower that has a portal at the top, and some "secrets" around the grounds.

2. Trader's village.
The trader's village is unfinished and quite cramped, which i will fix soon. for far it has 2 shops, a fountain and a Trade Exchange building, where u can leave items and trade them for items you want.

3. The city with no name.
This is my recent addition to the map, it's a massive city with Re enforced walls that TOWER over the insides. 4 guards towers and a gateway to the mountain.
The walls took 3 hours to finish because they're pretty big, and I am only one person.

4.Tempel Dea nethra.
The official building for the nether people. They go to worship the demons that lurk around the nether. it has a portal inside.
You'd be lucky to find your way inside.

5.The cursed gateway.
The spawn of the nether people, they opened the gateway to summon a great demon, but the brave warriors of the land closed it before they could complete the summoning. Lava now spews from the top to prevent someone from reopening it.

6. ???
An unknown structure.

7. THE RIFT OF LURGUA
Some say that the Rift was formed before the great awakening.
But other believe it was created by the gods when they became angry.
--------------
That is all i have done so far, but i NEED ideas.
So if you have an idea, tell me and i'll think about putting it in.

Also, A lot of the buildings are without names. If you wanna have your name put on a building just PM me!

linky (http://minecraft.cm/packages)

i was looking at the tier 2 one. its not huge or anything, but it'd do i suppose. and if i had staarted a donation thing n the future i could have easily bumped it up a bit

I think this project is awesome except that the land got flattened. I really would have like to participate if the land was "normal" and we work with it. It's 50% of the building pleasure to me. The barrier idea is great and could have been applied either way.2011-05-14 01:35:00

whelp, seeing as i seem to have trouble doing anything on that server, I've gone ahead and bit the bullet, so to speak. I have ordered a 15 slot server, and just got confermation that it is up and running. now all i have to do is load craftbukkit, cause as of now its a vanilla server, and start adding the 5 or so mods i want to. Hopefully, i'll have it functional in the morning. What i'm gonna do is make it a freebuild, whitelist server, monsters active, iconemy and a couple of things dependent on it, and its gonna have a large central safe zone thats gonna be kind of like a big....town square? market square? something anyways. I'll let you know when i've got everything ready to go.2011-05-14 05:49:00

........not a bad idea.

also. the vanilla server has NO NOTICEABLE LAG! Once i get bukkit up and running I'll see if it's gonna do anything. then i'll let you's guys and gals know how to hit yon servah!

important!!!!

as of now, the server, craftworld.minecraft.cm, is UP. HOWEVER(!) I'm gonna probably be stopping and starting it while i add stuff to it. anyone that wants can log on, as i havent whitelisted it yet.

UNDERSTAND THAT AFTER I GET THE MODS INSTALLED, THE WORLD THAT IS BEING PLAYED WITH NOW WILL BE DELETED AND RESTARTED ANEW! This is more for the stress test, screw around while you can stuff.

Craftworld.minecraft.cm is up now. Not much there and you'll need joruto or napero7 to use the /promote command on you if you wanna be able to build, but i'm tired so that's probably all you'll get till i wake up around 6pm to get ready for work.

This is a SURVIVAL, FREEBUILD, PVP-is possible, mine it your dang self server. with some rpg mods on it. please try and keep the buildings tasteful.
i've been up waaaay to long.

also suggestions for what still needs to be tweaked would be helpful. I haven't got the iconemy stuff all in yet still gotta add the shops and the mob bounties.

remember, i'm willing to play to the crowd on this one, so any server changes could easily happen. I wanna make sure we get my money's worth outta this mess.

if ya can't get someone to promote you, shoot me a pm and when i see it i'll see what i can do.

Dunno why you've decided to open up old wounds when the likely result is going to be you rage quitting (again)

BTW, I'm sure Inan would be thrilled to know he WAS the reason you avoided LBPC if that's the case.

Unfortunatly there isn't all that much built on my server at the moment. just the spawn area, and a couple or three have built thier own houses and such. Here's a look at teh spawn. I haven't really looked at teh other peoples stuff yet, as i just now finished what i hope is the last bit o tinkering with the server

Looking down from the lighthouse

spawn area at night. I was trying to get lightning in teh background, but i wasn't quick enough on the screen-cap button.

And lastly, a good view of the lighthouse from the spawn area.

Some mod (server mod/op) accidentally burnt down the Creature Villa, all the spawn, and some creations on the side, sad day indeed.

The pyro has been demoted and everyone is sad.

EDIT: New mod, and they're starting a new level with the same server, fresh start! Also, kootra, Ze, and Danz were on, all logged off eventually but Ze stayed, who then decided that they needed the new level.

Apparently it's a strange combination of two custom shaders that produces that effect. It wasn't intentional, was accidental according to the guy that made the video.

Still pretty amazing aha, Notch should reverse engineer it and make it happen to a player if they eat too many raw mushrooms ;p

And of course their professional set-up as to how they recorded it:

I just had a thought because of that picture. If they made Minecraft edition legos, I would be broke. My house would also contain one biome per room.2011-05-26 01:39:00

Hrmmm. apparently it's gonna be a while before bukkit updates to 1.6. something about "showstopping bugs present in the current 1.6 build"

aaand, they are waiting till the updates roll out before they do anything so there is something suitable to build from.

Till then, i suppose i could stop the bukkit server, update the vanilla, and just let it be some kinda freeplay...

Or you could just run the server on 1.5 because really, 1.6 didn't bring anything that awesome.

true, but i'm still seeing a lot of the few people that play my server getting the outdated server error. I think this is a decent compromise for now.

but since the vanilla server doesn't seem to want to...you know. work, that may be a prob.

EdIT: the vanilla server is tentatively working now..............

edit again: ...............unless you wanna build or harvest. or destroy blocks. walking around works pretty well though.

Edit some more: aaand. now it seems to be playing nice.

Oh-kay kiddies! it looks as though the latest bukkit build is working fairly well. HOWEVER(!) it is not a recommended build, and until the recommended release I have no intention of updating my server, so the free-build-no-rules-screw-around-till-yer-heart's-content thing on the vanilla server is gonna keep going.

Shouldn't be a day or two till we see a recommended build <3and i have to fight the plugins to make them work tho.

God fuuu....this is *** but good...I wish I didn't use all craft all my glowstone...sigh..

* Added a new use for bonemeal
* Changed the material of glowstone from ?glass? to ?stone?. This means you need a pickaxe to get resources from it
* Made glowstone drop more loot
* Made the recipe sizes for creating cloth blocks and glowstone blocks smaller (2x2 instead of 3x3)
* Re-introduced unlimited FPS, renamed the option again * Fixed beds not working very well at all in SMP
* Fixed destroying a boat spawning the player too low, causing them to sometimes fall through the ground
* Boats float up to the surface quicker
* Boats falling down into water lose their vertical momentum very fast
* Removed Herobrine

Very likely i was screwing with some settings. I'm in the process of setting up a second world that is fully freebuild within the thing, and I can't get it to keep each world having its own inventory like it's got to in order to allow such a thing. but yea. its a-workin now.

Also, if you get caught in a chunk that didn't show up, type in /chunkme and it'll re-request that chunk.

Also also, the sheep are technicolor.

woah. i wen't a whole day without internet access. in that time i bought a choke tube for my shotgun and a bunch of ammo. I now have a black shirt with several HUNDRED tiny holes in it.....but i digress.

I haven't been able to look at the server yet, as my inter-web access is still finicky.

Anyone looking for a server, or that would just like to visit, pop in and have a look around. Mind the creepers tho....we are desperate for people....

I got minecraft at the beggining of May and have had lots of fun on it, so far my greatest construct was a big floating fortress. Is there some sort of server I could play on, because I've only played online once and it was massively buggy.2011-06-05 20:19:00

You could try my server at Craftworld.minecraft.cm (not .com)

However, you need permission to build. Most of the people that are on regularly should be able to /promote you to do that.

Gonna pull the server down for a bit to change some things up. I'm removing teh shop plugin i had and adding a different one that is more....simple, I'm adding what should be a less irritating to deal with land management system, and.....I think i might have the multiworld inventory thing sorted out.

Expect the server to be down for 15 minutes from now and flaky for an hour as i fiddle with all the shiny buttons and knobs these additions will provide.

MMkay, tweaking should --SHOULD-- be done. But somehow i doubt it.

the Creative world has a wall near the spawn point that you can get almost all the raw mats from. I'll expand it later, but I'm too lazy to do so now.

Current set up:

No whitelist but you must be given build rights.

Multiple worlds - 1 survival, named 'world'- 1 creative named 'creative' with a portal to/from each. Inventories are per world, and mobs are turned off in Creative

Survival has mobs, creepers do not harm blocks, but do harm you.
Do-it-yourself land permissions with Residence
Iconomy Chest Shop
Flamboyant Flock - technicolor sheep, cause they are awesome
Jobs - Make money by Mining, Farming, Hunting, Lumberjacking, Digging

can have up to 2 jobs at a time

MCmmo - skills and useful powers that develop as you use them:

Instantly break stone/wood in short bursts
do more damage for a limited time with weapons/hands
occasionally plant while harvesting if you have seeds
use seeds on cobblestone to make mossy cobble (low chance to succeed)
occasionally get double the amount from breaking blocks (stone/ores/dirt)
occasionally find glowstone dust when breaking sand/dirt blocks

WorldGuard - yay!
LWC for that extra chest/door/dispenser protection (waiting for hatches)
Big Brother - Its always watching you.
Probably forgot a thing or 10 but thats all the big ones.
