After the last batch of requests is over and done with, I was thinking...Would anybody be willing to pay $1-$5 for a sackboy? I'm in need of money but have no other way to acquire it other than accepting commissions. No luck with that on deviantART, but I thought I'd try here. What do you think? I mean, if I did 20 requests for a dollar each, that's twenty dollars right there. But if I charged two dollars, that's forty! But what are the odds that twenty people are going to have money - as small of an amount it is - to spend on a drawing? I hope the idea doesn't seem too pompous.

That's actually pretty **** cheap for what most artists offer from commissions of this quality.

i need to ask sume questions... when the requests are open again (in a couple of mouth if i didn't read it wrong somewhere) do i need a in-game pic of the character? can't i show how he look like with a fast scetch or just explain...? also is it ok to ask for 2 small characters instead of one big? i got 2 fav costumes that are related to each other and though it would be fun to have em on each side of the pic... :I was thinking of putting em in my sign later on, [used to call em player and stopper, two twin deamons]2010-08-07 14:41:00

Haha, I meant something else planned regarding the requests. I wasn't going to just publicly say "Requests are open!", but rather PM the users that have been waiting an unbearably long time for one (like superdork) to give them a request slot. I'm only gonna have like five next time, and "senior" waiting-to-request-ers will have slots reserved for them. It's only fair. And after that last batch, I'll start a comic representing the intro for the RPG so you guys know the plot and stuff. This intro (only a few pages long) will be recreated in the level- I mean game- when LBP2 comes out. Oh yeah, I finally finished Ahi and Haze in MNR, so here are their color schemes and all that:

Also, I have noticed that a lot of those on this forum have MNR as well. Maybe there should be a playcreatesharecentral.com...? It would be a lot like this site, but it could include LBP, LBP2, and MNR, as well as any play, create, share game that comes along in the future. What do you all think?

well idk about touching lives (except my own lol) but i would love to see this done by a good artist

now all i gotta do is get out of my financial issues so i can finally buy the FULL marvel pack....i want to create Shadowcrazy's FULL FORM but i need venom and doc oc and some others :/

@super dork there is a MNRCentral for modnation players....but i agree one forum for all the play create share games would be better (and save money for CC) but tbh the only good thing about MNR is the creation and even that has its limits...i have to admit i havent touched the game in like months :/ but it was ok for a while (except those challenges were too hard and AI were too brutal)

anyways back on topic for me:

when you make the comics for the RPG...will they be a continued series? or just a little something like a preview for the levels and then you'll make another comic series? hint hint lol (sorry if we're bugging you too much....but yeah lol it just sounds like a fun and cool idea is all...not our fault the concept is pretty nifty)		2010-08-08 07:43:00

You know...Closing requests means having more time to do drawings for whoever I want whenever I want. So if somebody mentions something, and I like the idea, or I really like someone's sackperson, I'll probably draw it for them. But if somebody asks (especially if I don't even KNOW them), then chances are I won't draw anything for them. And I'm liking this idea.

That is a really good idea actually. And as more Play, Create, Share games are released, more forums can be added for each game.

Ugh, I really need money for all the Marvel packs. I don't even have one! And I need them for the RPG. Like Captain America's belt and shield, and Doc oc's tentacles, and a lot more...

meh, contests are so time consuming, if there is to be any contests i would hope it would be for a team you would construct to help with the comic books for you.

like example....me as a storyboard director in which i could make some stories for comics and moderate ideas others throw out and such

and Mrgenji as a secondary artist for another comic series under the same group name

Oh wow. I think you just outdid yourself there, Zim.

I just love watching your drawings evolve, starting from nice, rough sketches (though those were cool as well in their own respect) to more refined, more high-quality art worthy of a crown (Honestly! They are!). That, and just watching you take in requests and work diligently just to make the community happy is awe-inspiring in itself. You're really doing a great thing around here, and I honestly, and sincerely, thank you for that. You've revolutionized the Artwork and Creativity thread of LBPC.

i know that's my point, crowns in general are like that...crowns in LBP are earned by doing something Mm related that's pretty fantastic...i can't just walk up to them and get a crown...so it's a special achievement when i do something worthy of getting a crown, in this sense it's not just another piece of DLC...it's a physical Trophy showing that you did something pretty incredible for the LBP/Mm community		2010-08-12 06:13:00

I know that. No need to explain to me the "Holiness of the Sacred Crown" I understand plenty what you have to do to earn it. What I was trying to say in the previous statement, was that I have no need for a crown, and even if I tried to an amazing feat Little Big Planet related, I wouldn't come close to scratching the surface. I've given up and lost interest in the crown. That's why I don't care for the crown. Anybody else who has it, bloody good for them. Actually, as I said a few times before, I'm still deciding whether to open that last batch of requests or not. I might instead use that opportunity to open commissions, you know, paid drawings. I can't do them free forever, and I have zero money. Of course, every now and again, if I like somebody's Sackboy or if my friend has a birthday coming up, or some other reason, then those would be free drawings.

I was thinking of $5 per drawing. What do you think? Reasonable enough? But still, I can't help but feel a little bad to start charging for drawings, after doing them for free for such a long time. It could be a one time thing...You know, open up commissions for a certain amount of time, then like I said before, every now and again I'll do free ones for people for whatever reason. I'll be too busy with school to take requests anymore. Of course, I'd still have plenty of art besides other people's sackpeople. I'd be drawing the comics for the RPG, as well as concepts, some of my costumes for a change, and other stuff.

I'll meet you halfway. What about $3? I mean, it's not just for the quality of the drawing, I put a lot of effort into these. Two hours worth of effort. Considering what people are charging on deviantART, it's a reasonable price in my opinion. I mean, people pay $30 just to see their favorite pokemon painted by this person. I never thought of these drawings just as something to use as your avatar, but just seeing your costume as something other than the in-game model, with their personality and all of their traits depicted better than the game can do. well why did you think i asked you to put in lil details like majoras mask and such? because i wanted a special portrait of my sackboy with emotion drawn into it...so no to me its not my avatar or signature...its more then that...its a nice lil profile so people can tell how my sackperson is

Of course these drawings aren't something that we would only use as our avatar! These are much more special than something like that. If they were just used as an avatar than I would probably be perfectly content with the avatar I have right now. But these drawings are just amazing and each one is special to the person that was being drawn. (Or sackboy that was being drawn). I would definitely pay those 3 bucks to get a drawing like this. These are way more than just avatars. This is art! I mean, you spend all of your time making these drawings, all just for us. All of these drawings have so much emotion put into them, it's amazing. I haven't even requested a drawing and I've been following this thread since I found it. Just so I could see what amazing art this artist has drawn yet again. If you think people come here just for cheapy little avatar's of their sackboys, look again, Joruto has put your art into a frame and has displayed it for the public in his house, and you've even earned a crown of achievement from Media Molecule themselves for this amazing feat. And about people paying for these drawings, I say go for it, you're drawings are well worth the money, unfortunately, since I don't have a credit card I can't donate any money to you, but I bet you there are a lot of people that can and will.

To be honest, you don't have to use that picture, that was a random one I grabbed from google images, but eh... I honestly can't draw..

EDIT : Forget it, I will tell you now. Boots and gloves are from the Incredibles pack and are the ones that you don't need to paint to get them black. The cape that you can't see really well is the red roman cape, painted white. Yes, I know there is a white cape in the Incredibles pack, but I like how the roman cape moves better. The pants are Incredibles, too. The hair is Dash's, but painted red. The skin is painted white because it is an even whiter color than any skin can give you. As for the torso, it was the Mr. Incredible torso, but then I painted it with a custom sticker I could send you if you want a close look at it. It is basically a red background with a regular pentagon design in the middle, black outline with white background and red letters that read
