Things That Make You Mad

It makes me mad when people artificially limit the number of players allowed (with sackbots or "player number detector" logic). I'll be the judge of if it's playable with multiple players or not....2014-02-03 04:33:00

My main one is the classic 'drop the player down a chute and expect them to telepathically know that that holding R1 will save them from spikes at the bottom'.

Think I've already said that one in this very thread...
So I definitely agree so very much so, yes!

I don't like when people make impressive, expansive levels, then spell everything wrong in text bubbles or captions, really blows the atmosphere.2014-02-03 15:39:00

Bravo sir! This is far too common. Especially in those speedy-fast type level thingymajigs.

I don't think it's a bad thing to limit the number of player. For example, a lot of puzzlers are designed to be completed by one person.

Bad spelling can be excused if it's their 2nd language. I do remember one creator making a major grammer no-no in one of his/her level titles in a series (which was MM/team picked [rightly so IMO I might add]) - used "Should of" instead of "Should Have". *eye twitches*
Thankfully he/she did edit the level title.

Platformer levels that don't have any type of gameplay except for R1 and bounce pads that somehow get an MM pick.2014-02-04 06:50:00

It makes me mad when people leave a nice review on a level but don't yay or heart the level. Seriously....if your review says it's the best level ever, why didn't you heart/yay it?2014-02-06 12:50:00

Indeed.

I've also had the opposite - a guy yays and hearts my level, his review is:

***

Perhaps he's using '***' in the old-fashioned sense, ie meaning 'happy'.

(I very much doubt that!)

EDIT: Wow.... just realised now that the word 'g a y' is censored?? Why? Of course, the word is often used in the wrong way, but in that case just delete the post or something. Actually censoring the word seems a bit..... wrong.. IMO.

I used to see people use it as an insult all the time. But not really anymore. I guess people are more understanding these days. So the swear filter should really be updated.

Anyway...some things that make me mad:
1. When people use gameplay as a torture device
2. luck-based obstacles....
3. Using the wrong tags
4. attaching a level link to the scoreboard to force players to go to another level after finishing (especially linking to levels by other creators)

I get angry when I use live capture only to find out something is broken and having to fix and re-capture the object all over again.
Using the emitted emitter trick can tire the most patient of creators indeed.

I get angry when people act like they know about logic and don't. Like if they put what an expert they are in their description because they know How to make controllable sackbots.2014-02-09 17:05:00

I agree. I've only known two people who were really "experts" at LBP logic, evret and Sock_Pasta_Rock, and I think the only logic experts that I haven't met are Physicslike, rtm223, and perhaps comphermc (though I probably left out a few). Everybody else was just "good" at it, myself included.
