Fatal Fantasia [Graphic Novel Series]

| Oh man how comes there is no discussion about all tha MAJORLY HUGE CLUES that our arachnid friend dropped in his latest Beta level?? i cant remember exactly, but i think there was something about a giant shadow creature attacking the city!!! and a strange spider who saved the day or summin?? i will watch again to give you guys more news Blazen Lockett (or firestarter Blaze as he is called) saved a load of people from a burning apartment complex, even though he started the fire Strange arauras in the sky have been baffling scientists all over Craftworld - they range in size from a couple feet to a couple miles Logicom (i think thats what he said, it wasnt that clear) is some kind of technology festival happening for a couple of days and is an invitation only event, although there will be live footage on TV. A large "Shadow type creature" heads towards Stitchburg before the transmission breaks and shows those multicoloured bars. spider-jew is supposedly a member of "the SIA" (Sack Intelligence Agency?) - who have been increasing their presence in cities all over Craftworld I seem to remember the old catchline of the comic being "Where will you be when worlds collide"? if this is correct than could these arauras possibly be some kind of portal between worlds/universes?? perhaps some of the main characters arrive through these arauras before ganging up? If SIA stands for Sack Intelligence Agency, then this means that spider-jew (and possibly his ancestors too) is working for the government of Craftworld, or at least gov. of one country on Craftworld - or perhaps an organisation older and higher up than the gov.? The obvious character to associate the large shadow creature with would be Shadowcrazy (duh) but from what Ive read so far he seems to be quite a well meaning kinda guy, and not the kind of person to crush cities and kill news reporters like poor old Chip. Could it be that the shadow creature is Eagerneph's dark side? His bio mentioned that he had clone that was wreaking havoc. | I know all you have to look at is the thing on the left, but for some reason I never looked there. I usually go by gender depending on the pic. Ok, I have to admit; I do that sometimes too. But I try not to call somebody a 'he', 'she', 'him' or 'her' until i'm fairly sure which they are. So... What program did you use to make it, and was any of it drawn by hand? It was drawn completely traditionally on a sheet of watercolor paper. The first rough sketch was made with a 'french grey'(which is a lighter shade of grey) Derwent brand watercolor pencil (so that i could correct mistakes by simply dipping a brush in water and lightly using it to wash the pigment off), then i traced over it with a darker shade of grey watercolor pencil, and began coloring. I used a different technique when actually coloring it in with the watercolor pencils than i did with using them to draw the outlines; By rubbing the a wet paintbrush against the pigment of the pencils and applying it to the paper in what could be described as 'layers'. After all the shading and coloring was applied i just kep touching it up, adjusting the lighting, and re-defining the outlines. Alot of different media was used throughout the entire process. I have a drawing desk with a little drawer-ish tray that holds all my pencils and various other art supplies(pastels, pens ect.), so when i draw, i tend to just subconciously grab whatever tool is closest that has whatever color i need(for example, while fixing the outlines, i used a pen, a colored pencil, a soft pencil, and a sharpie ._.)- when i draw in real life i tend to go frequently back and forth between coloring, shading, and touching up the outlines and such.. I do believe the above text very well sums up why i'm a sloppy and unproffesional artist. Ok, let me get one thing outta the way here: Zim is the opposite of being conceited. And wait, you did mean 'conceited' instead 'conceded', right? because conceded is a verb meaning "to admit or acknowledge something, often grudgingly or with reluctance", and conceited is an adjective meaning to be proud of ones self and "to have or show an excessively high opinion of your own qualities or abilities". Just wanna make sure.. o.O As for the whole "Traditional vs. Digital" thing; I honestly don't prefer either. I'm sure you probably hear this alot, but both traditional and digital have their ups and downs and it simply depends on what you think feels best and what you're trying to pull off. If i want to draw something with dramatic lighting or whatnot i usually go digital because it's easy to correct mistakes, but construction-wise (drawing figures, poses and depicting emotion in characters), i like traditional better because i can.. well.. not sure how i can explain it but... feel it more i guess? Ok, that's enough, i think this thread needs to get back on topic before the universe implodes on itself. Hiring another background artist wouldn't be a very good idea right now, as we can't afford for this to happen for a third time. I just want to apologize to all of you for such a prolonged delay. If everyone had done their part in the comic (or at least thought it through more thoroughly before deciding to join), we would have been finished with this months ago. Again...Sorry everyone. In professional comics, they have professional artists, and it's their job to work on the comic (and they're actually paid), so they don't have schoolwork or anything like that to get in the way of it. Lots of times comics have various people contributing to the artwork on the pages. They have someone drawing it and an entirely different person doing the coloring. And usually the writer comes up with the panels while they write the script, they separate it into panels and explain what each panel should look like.
