| No, I wanted to get 10th prestige legit (as Moleynator stated) but a friend was over when I was out to get pizza I think. Come home to a hacked account. And I couldn't revert the hack because every file was corrupt, except the 10th... Sucks so bad. It's alright  We all know you would've gotten there anyway! | How's this for a fail: I was ninja-ing, as I do 99% of the time, and on a whim I went back to using the MP5K like I had before I unlocked the Mini-Uzi. In first match (TDM) that I used this class, I went 38-3. 38-3 isn't a spectacular result in the grand scheme of things, but for running around with a silenced SMG + silenced USP45 without stopping power, throwing knife, and smoke grenade, it's difficult (for me anyway) to stay alive for very long periods due to the extra ammo needed to bring someone down, and the inevitable campers that are just waiting for the crazy sprinters to run by. I managed to pick up some ammo off of my own (previously killed) body after the third time I died, and I went on a rampage through the other team. I got my harrier strike, which quickly got me a chopper gunner. I was approaching a 25 killstreak, thinking, "wow! I might finally get a nuke!" Here's the fail: My 25th kill in that streak was the next to last kill of the match. Our team won immediately after I got the nuke, before I could use it. Possibly worse fail: I almost positive the match winning kill was that of somebody headshot boosting. | Nice! Must be really terrible being SO close! Lol I went 32-4 with a silenced (yes, and a cheater heartbeat sensor) ACR, and a silenced, extended mags PP2000. I HATE having to choose between BLING PRO and SCAVENGER PRO! That dang ACR just does not have enough shots to last that long... I only got to 28 with killstreaks, so I had to melee and steal unfamiliar, unsilenced guns for the last four kills! | Another nuke fail, though funnier this time: I got a 24 killstreak by using only a throwing knife and only 1 Intervention round (oblivious camper that didn't know I was there, I couldn't pass up the free headshot). Gratuitous ninja-ing, very cautious (and slow) flanking, and playing dead are the annoying methods that I used, and I was laughing the whole time. That is until I realized that I was about to get a nuke, which caused me to get really nervous that I was going to die and wait in a corner with my throwing knife crosshairs aimed at the only enterance. Suddenly, though, I was wrecked by a shotgun blast through the wall beside me. Watching the killcam, it was obvious that the player was not aiming for me, but he was in final stand, and in desperation, was spinning around emptying every round of his Striker in all directions. I was laughing so hard that my dad asked me if something was wrong. I'm not mad, the killcam was just too funny. Also, I'm just going to start using EMPs, as they are still a semi-rare occourance and they look awesome, and they are way easier to get. | I know I'll sound kind of hypocritic here, but I don't consider any gun is to cheap. I'd say a gun was cheap if it was used by TONS of people online, but there really isn't a gun that's TOO good for anyone. I'm not saying all the guns are equal by any means, but no gun is over powered, just plain cheap, or takes any more skill than any other gun. There is no skilled weapons, there are no cheap weapons. This is all my opinion though. You may agree with me, you may not, but there's what I think so take it for what it's worth. | Exactly. If a gun gives the user a huge advantage (or at least you think it does), the why on earth aren't you using it? In general, the answers to that are, "because I like this other gun, even though it's not as powerful, or it's not as fun as using an unconventional weapon, or having funny kills, or I feel better because I use guns that require more skill." Well, then, you've acknowledged the fact that you are putting yourself at an initial disadvantage; you may still be able to kill them, but it would be easier for you if you were using the "overpowered" guns, or if your adversary were not, so it is nobody's "fault" that you are out-gunned. This is what I've been thinking ever since I first heard people getting mad about the knifing. Sure, it's very (extremely, actually) unlikely that, when placed in a small area with 4-15 other people that are armed with guns, that a person would not use their gun, and it's just as unlikely to be as effective as it is in the game. Also, who uses throwing knives in a combat situation involving guns? The thing is, though, this is a game, and therefore, you can utilize the advantageous tactics that it lends to you. In comparison with actual performace of weapons, there are some overpowered weapons. In the context of the game, though, they're where they were intended to be. | I got my best Search and Destroy match yet. 12-2 I got a 10 Kill streak. I hope the other team enjoyed my Harrier and predator missile going off at the same time in the final round. Especially when it was all tied up! My absolute favourite class ever is... WA2000 ACOG Scope + FMJ Magnum FMJ + [RESERVED FOR TACTICAL KNIFE] Tactical Insertion Stun Grenade Bling Pro Lightweight Pro Commando Pro Painkiller And I don't get why people say certain guns are cheap... Speaking of laying down and playing dead, my friend, who has played Call Of Duty maybe twice, was playing free-for-all in Karachi. Alright so you know the middle part of the map that is like a ruined foundation. Well he didn't know what he was doing at all and laid down under that random desk in the corner. It ended up that a predator missile was going after him and the top of the desk he was laying under protected him from it. Then out of nowwhere, while my friend was trying to find out how to get back on his feet, another guy falls from the ledge above, looking for the person who his predator missle just missed. The other guy looked around for a second and couldn't find my friend struggling to find out how to get to his feet. So somehow, by some incredible stroke of luck, my friend (who's still laying on the ground) accidently melees the guy who had begun to walk backward for some reason. If you can somehow picture that in your head, you'd realize how funny it was! It was hilarious and I was just cracking up! HaHaa! Oh and moleynator, that highrise shot was epicly sweet! I mean, compare how many things each perk does for you: Stopping Power: increased bullet damage (one enhancement) Hardline: reduces killstreak reward requirements by one (one enhancement) Lightweight: run faster (one enhancement) Danger Close: increased explosive damage (one enhancement) Cold Blooded: undecected by UAV, undectected by air support, undetected by sentries, undetected by player-controlled killstreaks (predator, chopper, AC-130), and un-highlighted by thermal scope. | I agree with Hibbsi. Too much of this game lol. Today I was playing mighty badly. Probably because I was running around riot shielding people, and it was ground war. And why do people care sooooo much about their KDRs? It really doesn't say how good you are. I mean, I know one guy on my friends list with a KDR of 3.2 but he goes 3 and 0 in matches that everyone else has at least 10 kills in. It's ridiculous how much he cares about his KDR. | My KD is 2.41. I don't completely obsess over it, but I like to get a KD of at least 2 every game. I don't mind which account you add to be honest. My HD PVR stopped working though... My laptop crashes every now and again. | I normally play stealthy and fast-paced, and it is fun to do and normally produces good results. I just tried some different playing styles, and although they put me a little outside of my comfort zone at times, they are really fun, and surprisingly effective. For example, I normally run around with a silenced MP5K, tactical knife (and sometimes akimbo) M9, throwing knife, smoke grenade, marathon pro, cold blooded pro, and ninja pro. One class I tried out used akimbo Uzi's, akimbo magnums, semtex, stun, marathon pro, lightweight pro, and steady aim. | Ok, I just surprised the crap out of myself. I was trying to unlock everything for all of the handguns, so I was using the default "first recon" class and knifing as much as I could, because tac knife kills count toward pistol kills for some reason. I hadn't changed my killstreaks, as I was not really trying to get an awesome score, so they were set up to predator missile, AC-130, and Tactical Nuke. I was playing TDM on rundown, and I ran straight down the center of the map like an idiot. I run into three guys that quickly kill me, and I respawn and take the scenic route. I get behind their team and get a triple kill <stab, stab,="" stab="">, and then the rest of their team is storming in to the bottom floor of the building I just went nuts in. I see two of them, so I just out of a window and follow them in, and find that there are actually 4 enemy team mates coming after me. I go all ninja and get a multi-kill <stab, stab,="" stab="">, and then I run like a coward into the bushes to use my predator missile that I've had for the past 30 seconds. I didn't get anybody with the missile, but I put the laptop away, there are two enemies basically sitting on me <stab, stab="">. I see that my team is now all around me, so I quickly sprint to the other side of the map, where I run into 4 enemies that start to shoot at me. I kill one that I literally ran into <stab>, duck behind a wall, throw down a smoke grenade and climb to the other side of the wall, and wait for all of them to be looking for me on the other side. I jump back over and they are all there <stab, stab,="" stab="">. Now I have an AC-130, which gets shot down after 4 kills, but using the AC-130 showed me where the whole team was, which was the multi-story building on the western side of the map. I'm on the complete opposite side of that, so I take off like a madman, not realizing that I had a nuke equipped. I run across two camping in the roof-less building <stab, stab="">, and then I saw three more camping in the bottom of the building right next to the center bridge <stab, stab,="" stab="">. I run across the courtyard-type-place and get one in the center of it <stab>, and one at the bottom of the steps on the back of the building <stab>. There was a guy running toward me as I was going up the steps, and he starts shooting me. I ran up the steps and kept running and jumped over him and killed him in mid-air <stab>. I was thinking, "this is going to be an embarrassing killcam for him," and when it happened, "TACTICAL NUKE" came up on the screen. I just kinda stood there for a second, then I killed a guy running around the corner and got him, and "turned the key", as the MW2 announcer-dude calls it. | Well I got the new map pack. Bailout = Think Skidrow + Estate, wit Skidrows size. It's pretty fun, but I was confused where to go for the first couple of matches. Not the bets map, but ok. Salvage = This is actually one of my favourite maps now. No side is better, and so it doesn't matter where you spawn, it's kind of small, so lots of shooting, and its got a central point where you can get up to and shoot down. Storm = I like this map, its like a rectangle. Reminds me a lot of Vacant from Cod4. Crash = Well I love this map. Did pretty well on every SND I played on it, and I love the top of the 3 story building. Overgrown = I never really liked this map, but it's a good DOM and DEM map. | I use the machine pistols with Red Dot Sight, but I forgot which one. Oh, and I just had the best Sabotage match in Afghan ever! I got UAV, Care Package, and Predator Missle, then I killed myself (on porpuse). Then I did it again and again... finally, I had 5 UAV's (used 4 before), 5 Care Packages (used 2 before), and 5 Predator Missles. You should have heard them shouting when I planted the bomb and then Predator Missle'ed their butts 5 times in a row! I think one of them thought it was an AC130, because I saw him shoot a RPG up! Anyhoo, Care Packages were Chopper Gunner, EMP, UAV, Ammo, and Chopper Gunner. I used them all near the end, and were the other team both PWN3D and ticked off! I was badly out of place though, i was a level three in a team deathmath i had, everyone else was level 50+ :S A good perk combination online is Scavenger/ Stopping Power/ Steady Aim. Scavenger is good especially when you get scavenger pro and you wont have to worry about running out of ammo. Stopping power is a useful perk and stopping power pro gives extra damage against vehicles. Steady aim is good if you run around corners a lot and don't have time to aim.
