So ya I gotta redo all of Skate 2 for my whoismysterion account!

had to make a new profile-thingy for my PS3 to use the new PSN, but it wouldn't let me copy ALL of my stuff (Skate 2, RE5, I'm looking at YOU!) so I have to redo those.

How do you guys feel about 12/21/2012? Will it be the end of the world? I believe everyone wants to say no, but does everyone actually feel that way? Personally, I feel that the theory of it being the end of the world is really just magnified by channels like the History Channel for ratings. After all, the media is always willing to take advantage of our paranoia. And, how long do the Mayans HAVE to keep the calendar going? They died out a LOOONG time ago. Perhaps they decided that their calendar should end on a Winter Solstice because they got...lazy.

Well, it's pretty much proven that the Mayans didn't expect the world to end 2012. And while many believe Nostradamus predicted the world would end in 2012, we may see him as some great guy, but perhaps he himself looked at the Mayan calendar a different way and thought the world would end. Then, like has happened many times in history, he tried to take credit for this "prediction". The Mayans believed that 12/21/2012 would be the end of another "Great Cycle", which the Earth has survived three of.

There are also theories that Mayans and Egyptians were visited by aliens. While this may seem weird now, it may be true. Maybe 12/21/2012, they will return. After all, Egyptians and Mayans had shockingly similar ways of building their pyramids. Maybe Egyptians and Mayans communicated some way.

WEll awesome... The thing is no one knows why the Mayan calendar ends there... that's the thing. I think the easiest / maybe most logical thing is to assume that means its the end...or something big is going to happen.

I know prinston had some crazy studies concluded. Apparently in 2012 something big IS going to happen. The Milky Way galaxy is going to allign (all of the planets). When this happeneds the Earth's magnetic poles are going to shift. (Meaning where North is and where South is ....are going to change. True North is actually in Northern Canada not on the north pole.) They predict when this happeneds it's not going to be pleseant, it's going to cause massive title waves, the tetonic plates are going to move around probably meaning massive earth quakes and valcanos and what not. And they said it can last days or years they don't know, they just know it's not going to be pretty.

I actually believe this about the poles shifting. i"ve heard it before I heard about the Prinston study. Apparently people know it's happened before. and also the milkyway lines up every 3.000 something years I think. And they also think this planet or something that comes by gets kind of curve balled off of uranis's titled axis and gets launched at earth. (at least thats what they think happened last time the allignment happend. And that was the earth before earth. It was a lot bigger than current earth.) And when that planet propelled by Uranis hit earth. It cause earth to smash down to about half the size into Earth as we know it today. That other half became the asteroid belt.

I still doubt anything will happen, facts have been proven wrong before, scientists have been wrong. There are so many "facts" scientists have said would happen, that never happened.

The only difference with this one is that the Mayans ended their calendar on that date. I'm just going to go out and say "they ran out of whatever they used to make calendars."

There is no reason to make assumptions that something will actually happen, because in fact, there are no facts. Just because research has been done, doesn't mean something will actually happen, IMO anyways. There are plenty of examples were years of research, ended up being absolutely useless because something doesn't go the way it was "suppose" to go.

You guys are thinking way too into this, Mayans and Scientists were both humans.

Maybe the "Great Cycle" to them, was just the end of lizards, or pizza(Yes I know, lame examples but I'm trying to prove a point.) Who knows!?
