| Doesn't seem like a Nick show. Not to mention all they really have now are realities and Spongebob every hour. I didn't understand the Pee wee thing either... I was iffy on the Saved by the Bell thing too. Totally random for that station. I really doubt they'll agree to it. I'm still undecided if the do get it though. And like twice I forgot to put it in a spoiler tag. But then again, he was complaining about the avatars and sigs. Like if a mate of his were to see him on the site and saw the pony sigs and avi, they'd think it was a site for mlp. | I just finished watching the episode. To be honest, I loved the reactions in here. Not only that, but the moral itself was pretty good considering that people in everyday life sometimes take matters into their own hands as well. Anyways, two things changed my view on two characters: 1) Twilight, because her reactions were funny, but her attitude/demands towards the phoenix just made her a total badass now. And 2) Celestia, because at first I thought she was a preppy princess, but now I can see that she's an awesome troll AND a princess! I just based it on Derpy's sprite and modified it to have the proper colors and helmet + armor. I suppose I could have used Dr. Whoof as a base instead, but I preferred the bouncy walk animation on Derpy (and the tail was easier to recolor than on the other ponies). | So any news on making Desktop Ponies work on non-windows systems? The "original thread" didn't have much info about it (although it had a lot of people talking about Big Mac, which is not the same thing). I've taken up the challenge last night and managed to get most of the code translated over to Java (just the main features)... can anyone with a Mac confirm if this works or not? (I've included Gilgapony and Derpy, but it should work with the other ponies... except that some of them have weird gif animation settings that need to be fixed, leading to artifacts). I've managed to fix most of the wonky animated gifs and added a forced refresh when changing animation. | nope still broken edit: TRIXIE!!!! dont do that to the princess Well that's certainly turning out to be an annoying bug. The ponies show up correctly on my system. I've enabled double-buffering to see if that might fix the issue, if not I might need to create my own ImageObserver... which sounds like a pain in the tail. Also, I've now enabled every feature of Desktop Ponies except for multiple monitor support and screen avoidance preview. (Meaning it's now possible to change, save and load options, move ponies around the screen, access the menu by clicking on them to either remove one or all ponies, or manually control them with the arrow keys). I also fixed an annoying bug with animations that didn't loop. This port is pretty much done save for the weird animation glitch on mac. | Btb there's a new version of the Desktop Ponies out, 1.12, which has Applejack dropping apples and a lot of graphical improvements on the ponies. What I mean when I say that Dr. Whoof's animations are limited is just that there's two animations: standing still with the little hourglass going and walking slowly. The other ponies have better animations than this, so I would rather fix the problem than make every pony boring.
