It could just be a lot of meticulously controlled colored Holographic circles? No?

That said, can you make one piece of holo change color or do you have to layer them and turn them on and off to do that?

Some guy on youtube has 3/5 create walk thru vids uploaded, holo can change between two colors.

You can have on and off color, once you set both off and on color you can't turn off hologram other way then destroy it.

Also interesting thing when you make on color green and off color red, on 50% analog signal holo will become yellowish/orengeish like color

nahhh it's probably someone with Aftereffects superimposing it into the black background.

The bouncepad house is obviously real tho. So are the arcades.

Is it possible to make it look like a sackbot is holding something? For example, with a follower?2010-10-23 02:52:00

Tricky, because his arms won't actually be attached to it, and you can't have a follower follow an arm, it's always the body. Also, your item will either be in the thin layer in front of behind the sackbot, or it will be really broad, and arms can go all over the place.

But if you keep the arms in a fixed position, or you do some crazy logic to follow the arms or make the arms follow the item, it might look real enough. Decorations on the arms are a lot easier, though.

When a level link is used, does it take up two level spots when it's published?2010-10-23 19:53:00

Sort of. Every level you link to has to be published first. You can publish levels as a "sublevel", which means they don't appear on your moon, but you can link to them, and the sublevel is treated as part of your main level for scoring, rating, etc.2010-10-23 20:01:00

Can you make/create-an-elaborate-trick-to-simulate a sackbot change costume on command? for example: say I wanted to make a character with 2 'states' one unarmed, and another with a weapon in hand (like a costume piece/ decoration), and each was saved as a costume, could I make swap between the two by a switch/DCS/other input?
kinda like what happens in that RPG concept video, but without the curtain. How is that done?

no idea how that's done but im sure the curtain was there to make it look interesting instead of a boring and fake change that looks unappealing to the eyes of the player (especially if it's an emitted sackbot)

Use Freaking magic, what else? destroy-emit trick, and remote DCS will handle control switch seamsly

To get right to the point of this thread mt first question is : Will all these levels you are making in Beta be available in the finished public version of LBP2?

Is the point of BETA to basically to hunt down really cool glitches like the 3D glitch and have Mm fix it before anyone gets to enjoy them? My follow up to the last question : Say you do find a glitch ( I'm hearing a lot about a "GOD" glitch lately ) What happens if you don't turn it in to Mm and they find out you withheld information, is there a breach of contract?

Yes, we hunt down all the cool glitches. Like the ones that crash your PS3 when you click "change to create mode", or crash your PS3 when placing electronics on a microchip in slightly the wrong way, or crash your Ps3 when selecting too many sackbots, or crash your PS3 when rewinding, or deleting certain objects.

Yes, all these and many more fun glitches will be removed and you'll never have the pleasure of your create time being a game of PS3 crash Russian Roulette. Sad times indeed

Ohh, Ohh! Me next! Alright, when you are material tweaking and decorating your Craft Moon and Earth, can you open up the tweak menus of different materials, such as hologram, to change the animation speed, color, etc.?2010-11-24 12:32:00

You forgot one :

My follow up to the last question:Say you do find a glitch(obviously not ones that crash your console ) What happens if you don't turn it in to Mm and they find out you withheld information, is there a breach of contract?

You forgot one :

let me answer your question with another question...

how would they know if you "withheld" information?

how would they know if you "withheld" information?

Well, you might be foolish enough to tell them you hadn't told them?

Or ninjas.

How does anyone get accused of withholding information? Your missing the point of my question. Is there a contract binding you to disclose any and all anomalies that you may find? Why is that so hard?2010-11-25 00:33:00

dude it's simple...if you withhold info and get caught you OBVIOUSLY arent what they're looking for....but how would they know you are withholding info unless you're openly admitting it :/

why is THAT so hard?

Its basically saying.
Will someone punch you if you don't tell them a secret they have no idea about?

Obviously not if you don't tell them you have a secret to begin with! >_<

OMG!!! Why even reply if your all going to be snide about it? If everybody is so good at keeping secrets then why is a "GOD GLITCH" being broadcast all over this site?2010-11-25 00:52:00

Why is that so hard?

snide? this quote seems to show you showing off a snide attitude before any of us

and the GOD glitch is spread because a lot of people wan't to spread it like wild fire and some of us actually WANT IT OFF

so try to relax and stop trying to act like we're all bad guys ganging up on you...you asked for an answer to your question like 50 times we're just trying to make you understand the answer so you don't keep asking us another 50 times

50 times?! That means I'm still 49 behind! Anyway, I heard that you can emit hologram material on top of other holo, but can you emit holo over other materials, sackpeople, or sackbots?2010-11-25 02:59:00

Let's keep cool, everyone. No more 'snide' remarks from either side, thanks...

My guess is that although they can possibly track your activity (not sure how though), with so many people in the beta, it's unlikely you'd ever be singled out and hunted down. If there was some really cool glitch you were silently sitting on, I'd pretty well guarantee that someone else has also 'discovered' it and reported it to Mm. Most beta testers want to be helpful.

Edit: Also, I don't remember there being any clause about compulsory full disclosure in the agreement we had to agree to. It was more to do with NOT disclosing info to third parties. But I may have missed something or have forgotten.
