Just got another "a Message". From The Hoarder:

"NBET WHDD ELBFS VMI BF BQJBFSBET, NBPZ"

Translates to...

"SAGE WILL GRANT YOU AN ADVANTAGE, SACK"

This is what I have thus far, after translating that;

"SAGE WILL GRANT YOU AN ADVANTAGE, SACKBOY. YOUR CLEVERNESS WILL BE YOUR UNDOING! I GROW STRONGER WITH EACH NEW TECHNOLOGY THAT I ACQUIRE, CRUSHING ALL THOSE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO OPPOSE ME. SOON I WILL MAKE MY PRESENCE KNOW ON THE COMMUNITY MOON, AND THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE FOR YOU TO STOP ME. RETURN NOW TO YOUR COMMUNITY OF SILLY PICTURES AND TINY URLS. I WILL CONQUER YOU ALL! IMGNEXT"

Ooh! I think I figured it out. First of all, are you sure you have "DO NOT THINK THAT DECODING THIS MIE," Richasackboy? If it were MES instead of MIE, this would read:

"DO NOT THINK THAT DECODING THIS MESSAGE WILL GRANT YOU AN ADVANTAGE, SACKBOY. YOUR CLEVERNESS WILL BE YOUR UNDOING! Great job Richasackboy and jc! This has turned into a heck of a hunt. Really cool stuff! It definitely does give us more insight into what this whole thing is about... Presence on the community moon? Sounds like it's some kind of level or levels, which fits in with our guesses that this is a project of some sort. The whole "acquiring technology" thing hints towards the last message we received - the partially scrambled one from the barcode.

But IMGNEXT still doesn't make sense. I think it's a filename or a password to something....This is the only part of the message that I'm still confused about. Was it decoded correctly? It doesn't make sense as a word, but then again I agree that it might refer to an image - maybe another barcode? I tried using "imgnext" on the Hoarder's Photobucket account but couldn't get it to work.

Ah! Good catch! Maybe the "energy supply" The Hoarder stole will be used to power the technology?!

Both Silver and I decoded IMGNEXT independently.

I tried using "imgnext" on the Hoarder's Photobucket account but couldn't get it to work.

Ooh that's sneaky! I should've tried that, but too bad it didn't work.

So are we just suppose to wait for The Hoarder to give us the next image as a prize for figuring out his demented puzzle? I think he would've been more straightforward about it, but I think IMGNEXT is a clue.

Ooh I just realized something...fishy. So the Hoarder tells us to go back to "YOUR COMMUNITY OF SILLY PICTURES AND TINY URLS." I'm assuming the silly pictures is referring to the lolcats, but I don't think he's advocating doing that again. And what about the TINY URLS thing? Was this decoded correctly? I know B3 mentioned something about tinyurl.com existing, but we haven't used that at all to the best of my knowledge. Maybe it's a password to that site? I'm gonna try...

Wait a minute, look at the logos of the 2 pictures. The first shows a feather and the second a abstract block design. They are probably symbols for the groups (or tribes) of sackpeople in the story.

It is beginning to look like they have a sort of 'elements' theme. The first is air (hence the feather+ mask) and the second earth (leaves and blocks). Perhaps soon we will see a water and fire themed sacks. I am not sure if the sackpeople in the pictures are representing a whole 'tribe' or whether they are solo characters.

I might be wrong, but either way it sounds good. Elemental themes make good plots, however I have noticed fire is often the antagonist, which is a shame, even though I generally favour air...Sorry, back on topic:

The Hoarder is probably not in any of these 'themes', more likely he is trying to take over/destroy them, either with the technology he is looking for or you have to stop him before he finds it (or find it first). It might not have much to do with the elements, it might be just using them to create good settings.

Anyway, I am hooked!

EDIT: But the code says RHT which means MIE. Unless I am totally having a brain spasm here.

And about the new picture. I don't think it is exactly elements, but more of a type of civilization. The Platformeranians, I'm guessing are part of this series of species/beings/races with their brethren being the other civilizations (Sky Dwellers and the Tribal Beings)

Now my theory is that The Platformeranian are also probably the most advanced of there brethren.

This is all on the Hoarder's photobucket account, so I recommend we all try thousands of combinations of words and phrases that might relate to this project and put them at the end of the URL (e.g the "puzzling" poster is "puzzling.png".

You know, it's possible that the pictures aren't uploaded to the Photobucket account until they're posted here.

Aw, man they beat me to it. BUT, I got my theory!:

Obviously, Platformeranians are one race.
When we got the second image, there was another theme to it. So, the "Pu..." might be "Puzzling" or it can stand for another race name. Maybe, Puzzleranians?
The logos also give it away. The "feather" probably stands for agile or light on their feet, and the "complex block" can stand for mechanism (puzzle) makers.

The story: Rivalry between two unalike Sack races, but when faced with "The Hoarder" they team up!

Hey all,

The Hoarder isn't a slave to our demands, we are to his.

To the best of my knowledge, he never said he will post every 11 pages, and I bet he's holding back to teach us a valuable lesson. After all, we did just figure out a really fun puzzle!

We know this is ligitimate since the mods are obviously in on it and are dedicated to maintaining its integrity. And thanks to Sketch's investigative work, we know Cambridge has nothing to do with this. I suggest we continue to piece together the clues we have so far to speculate the story like what Silver and DizzyZebra has done. It's just difficult to plow through important and productive posts with 10 messages between them that have no substance at all. So unless you have some important discovery to share, I suggest refraining from posting here and bugging The Hoarder instead.

The Hoader's probably infiltrated the Donut & Cookie makers Headquaters to get them to make a load of cookie flavoured donuts, but felt a bit peckish after missing lunch, so he ate too many biscuits and grew to an immense size and got stuck in a door frame. He reached for the stack of donuts, and ate so many he grew a hole in his belly, so he looked like a door. He squeezed out the door to reach a computer and post a message. Just as he moved he went over a pin and asploded. The End.

I don't know if you guys now, but some of you act like we haven't recieved any information from The Hoarder. I thought I would add that we have been given enough info as of now. Sure, we have no clue on who is working on the project. We also have no clue what the story is. Though, the two teaser pictures and the message is already enough. You guys are not making any use to the information we've got at all. So I will be here and try to find clues of what we may know of the two pictures retreived.

Platformeranians: (1st image)
From what we know, the character may be from a tribe/race called the Platformeranians. He seems to be wearing a helmet with wings and a bottle of some unindentified liquid substance. This bottled liquid may be something to grant the people an effect. Either being energetic, flying, running or jumping. Also, it could be a decoration to the costume. It seems the person on the cover is wearing a tied up pillow. This can show that they play safe and secure. The background looks like it may be their city/culture area. In the very back right side, the house's wood fades away at the bottom. This could mean they live in the sky, or maybe live in an area with big heights. Maybe next to mountains to keep their structure if you want to be realistic. Also, maybe the tribe lives above sea? I don't imagine to see wood fading through the floor. Either the city floats in air, sea, and/or connected to a mountain/cliff. At the bottom of the teaser is the icon of a feather. This probably is their tribe symbol and colors.

Puzzling Teaser Art: (2nd image)
This tribe is very quite different than the Platformeranians. They're name is unknown as of now, but maybe their tribe name will involve "Puzzle." The character in the cover seems to wear a crown with leaves maybe, and metal. The character's face is too square like, which I find odd. This could mean that the crown surrounds everywhere but his face. More as of a helmet. I say this because the face is in a odd shape and his/her chin has another odd shape to it. Either the helm leads to the chin or the character has a goatee. If you look closely, it looks like some vine is connected to their right arm. (Your left) Maybe this can be a source of something. Either it can collect nutrients or feed off a power. Their style of clothing is very odd. The closest I could think of to a jungle based area is an Aztec tribe or a Native tribe. I'm more on the lead to an Aztec tribe because the silhouettes in the background. It could be geometric shapes in a jungle, but the first thing to pop up in my head was an Aztec like temple. It seems there is no floor in the background. Though, to be more realistic, I'm sure it's on floor rather floating in air. The Platformeranians can't be on floor because I'm sure skinney wood planks can not lift a house. Back to the Puzzle tribe. It seems they are probably an Aztec tribe with puzzles. At the bottom of the teaser is an odd icon. This is possibly their sign and colors too.

Okay, I'm done helping with the investigation. I hope you guys liked what I had to write. Anyways....

Nice theory Spark, I expect each tribe will have a group of levels specialising in different types of LBP gameplay. At least, I hope there will be more than one level

You might have to play through each one of these worlds to stop the Hoarder, or maybe all the tribes will have to work together to defeat him. I am pretty sure now there are tribes, not just one character for each theme, however there might be single characters from each tribe that help you along you way.

*edit* I looked at the second attachment again and the characters in that level are certainly those in the poster.
Do you think the 'Platformeranians' refers to all the tribes or just one?
I can't work out what tribes the other two characters could be from though.

The Recap

The Hoarder posted a teaser art and everybody became suspicious when comphermc stickied it. Soon, everybody "Thanked!" The Hoarder's post because amazingflyingpoo admitted that he ad something to do with this project. With that, everybody started to point fingers at one another, still trying to figure out who's The Hoarder.

A day or two later, BlueBulletBill was accused of being The Hoarder because everybody here who knows BlueBulletBill knows that he once tried a Community project, The Great Labyrinth. After interrogation, however, he admitted that the project died and that he had no involvement in The Hoarder's project.

Hours later, Gilgamesh and Leather-Monkey decided to stalk the PSP section and investigated the scene. After a few searches and observations, they both found out that amazingflyingpoo had a picture of the character in the teaser art, and that salieri created the characters within LBP PSP itself. With everybody keeping an eye on these two Creators, Gilgamesh took it into his hands to go even deeper. Moments later, Area 51 was discovered and Gilgamesh gathered a handful of suspects. But, after interrogating them he had only gained the members' names of the group and nothing more.

Days went by and spam was littering the thread until The Hoarder posted again. This sparked mass contrevorsy after people noticed he was Friends with The Forgotten. After sharing their thoughts, everybody decided The Forgotten was in on it. It wasn't until everybody started being The Hoarder's Friends that they debunked this as a minor change in things.

Hours later, a mysterious fellow emerged by the name of The Hoarders Asst, who claims to be a minion of The Hoarder. This quickly became a massive debate of whether or not this guy is a fake. It wasn't long before The Hoarder posted again, only to reveal that he once had a minion but he "pulled out his stuffing" for being "20 seconds late" with his coffee. But never the less, the minions came with the names of The Hoarders Advsr and The Hoarders Lover. It wasn't long before comphermc banned them and revealed that is was cory_7101995, dragonember, and Richasackboy who were the fake Hoarders ("respectively" of course). Still, it was too late. This quickly became a trend and now a majority of the PSP section is now using Hoarder Eyes in their avatars. And yes, it has become a habit to tease a Photoshop picture Taffey made, Hoarder Merchandise.

3 weeks went by with nothing but spam and threats from The Hoarder. Then, out of nowhere, The Hoarder posted a QR Code. With only a few hours to spare, the members quickly found out that it was a link to a site: http://yourworldoftext.com/sos. The site contained an SOS to the Community, hinting them about "vehicles" and The Hoarder's evil ways. Other than that, the Community was left clueless, again.

A few days later The Hoarder posted a code on his Profile. The members were taken back by the unusual post until The Hoarder began PM'ing people a message containing pieces of a larger message. After many hours of deciphering the code, everybody was left a message that didn't seem much until a link teaser art was found. This teaser art resembled a lot like the first, and everybody discovered that this character had habit of using puzzles. With everybody focusing on other possible "tribes" to be discovered, another trend quickly came into play: Teams!

So now, with The Hoarder posting his/her most recent comment of "be prepared", everybody is choosing sides, teams, new trends, new signatures, and new avatars. There are currently three teams: Team Platformeraninans, Team Puzzleranians, and Team Hoarder (a spoof that ali made but then quickly got attention after The Hoarder "Thanked!" his post. There's a possibility that more "tribes" and Teams will be revealed later on.

Well that's it for the recap. Maybe we can start a competition later on. ^-^

The Hoarder Eyes trend began when cory_7101995 transitioned his fake account's avatar into his.
Mm Tweeted about the post on their Twitter account.
There is only one known Creator who has admitted involvement in this project: amazingflyingpoo. He, however, denies any further production in it.
AceCreator (a Sony Cambridge employee) acknowledge the project's existence, but has denied any role in it.
A theory was created that The Hoarder posted every 11 pages, yet he/she still doesn't acknowledge this theory.
The moderators (A.K.A. mods) are involved in this project, but refuse to comment on it.
BlueBulletBill openly claimed he was in on the project at least twice, yet no one has attacked him... yet.
Silver was the first to comment on the thread. The estimated time of response was about a minute since the thread was made.
CyberSora is the only one who refuses to "Thanks!" The Hoarder's posts.

Just because they have machines does not make them a mechanical race. Maybe the machines he speaks of are things that could help the Platformeranians jump high or maybe the machines help the Puzzleranians build there puzzle (the latter being the most unlikely)

Go back to the attachments and look at the figure on the far left. Looks pretty high-tech to me.

(Oh, and I didn't mean mechanical as necessarily a race of robots, just that they rely on machinery)

I have a theory on the what the other 'ranions' could be now.

The soda helmet guy is one we think we know, he is a platformerainon (if that how you spell it- I have forgotten)

The crazy feather head dress sack is of course the puzzleraninon.

The techno robosack could be something to do with mechanical objects, a logiceranion maybe?!

Even if that isn't their tribes names, it might be their 'themes' for their levels. Not sure yet, so we will see what we well see...

Anyway I took a closer look at the first poster and I was trying work out why the sackboy has such a interesting fashion sense

I had this idea- what if each tribe has its own 'machines' to help it do special tasks. This sackpersons machine is defiantly to do with jumping high or flying. Look at the wings on its helmet. It also seems have a few safety precautions, the pillow on its chest could be for landing safely if its experiments fail

And the green, dubious looking liquid could be for ease of drinking while flying. Okay, so this is getting a bit farfetched, but the messages from the Hoarder do seem to be hinting to machinery, as was picked up before.

anyway why are we calling the Somthing-anians we dont even know if thats what they are called lol we just put it there, for all i know it could be the photo program he used to make it. dose anyone have more info on the anian/anion or whatever it is.

It wouldn't be from the image program, so I think it's safe to assume that platformeranians are the name of something. It's assumed to be the feather people, but we don't know. For the others we don't know the names, but it helps to be able to call them something.

And who knows, maybe the names were something else but with influence from this thread they'll now be puzzleranians and logicaranians (Thanks ali985, I like that name. XD)

But yeah, we don't know what the names will be, but it's fun to think up stuff to call them for ourselves.

Don't reply to spam posts. At all. It just adds to the cleanup pile for the mods to deal with. And that's all I'll say on that subject.

ANYWHO, one thing I forgot to mention, Platformeranian was specifically from the feather race picture, so we can probably assume it's the name for that. (Not confirmed, but it's an assumption). So we have the Platformers, Puzzlers, and Techies, which leaves us with one more to guess about.

Admittedly the design is similar to the puzzle person, but I'm sticking to the assumption that there's 4 distinct races with specific traits.

So what could this person be about? The one driving the story forward perhaps? (So we'd have platforming, puzzles, gizmos, and then the story aspects of the level(s)) Maybe some kind of survivor character for a survival mini-game that ties in?

Seriously? Wings = Flying? If "Platformeranians" could fly, then what is the point of them being good in platforming? They could just fly over the level and be done with it.

I mean come on, did Hermes always fly when he was delivering things?...Probably. But, you can "cross-out" flying, if that was on your "Platformeranian" wish list.

The Hoarder made us decode a message, that eventually left us with a some-what redundant statement, that also left us with no real clues to what this really is.

I have four theories about this

1) It's another community project, like the labyrinth and Area 51, but this time, the people involved are trying to create a stir and a lot of excitement beforehand, thinking it would get a lot of popularity.

2) It's the SCEE staff preparing us for their next premium DLC, similar to the Turbo Pack, or some other merchandising scheme. The moderators are definitely involved, even if they say they're not. Why would it be stick noted so soon?

3) An existing person who knows the system and is trying to generate a lot of interest before revealing themselves and gaining a lot of fame. The hoarder has been here just under 2 weeks but is already a very high level due to the amount of Thanks he's been getting, assuming it's a he...

4) The puzzles will eventually unravel and we'll all be in for a surprise

It has come to a point where asking to not spam this thread is no longer enough. Page after page, we get a lot of confusion and redundant information because people are discouraged to read previous posts with a lot of irrelevant discussions in between. Like many others, I questioned why the mods never locked this thread up like previous threads that were only meant to advertise something--a thread of this nature is not likely to generate any useful discussions.

Then I came to a realization that this is a privilege we have here. How can we work as a community to solve a twisted puzzle from a suspected story villain if we can't discuss it with each other in a single thread? This is obviously a marketing ploy, and a fun one at that, that depends on community involvement to piece together information. But if we can't work cohesively, then we denigrate this thread to a measly teaser ad that should be locked.

So if we want to play the Hoarder's games, which I really do, we should work together to figure things out and stay on topic, or I fear the mods will lock this up, and we'll receive info the boring way.

Just because they have machines does not make them a mechanical race. Maybe the machines he speaks of are things that could help the Platformeranians jump high or maybe the machines help the Puzzleranians build there puzzle (the latter being the most unlikely)

And about the new picture. I don't think it is exactly elements, but more of a type of civilization. The Platformeranians, I'm guessing are part of this series of species/beings/races with their brethren being the other civilizations (Sky Dwellers and the Tribal Beings)

Now my theory is that The Platformeranian are also probably the most advanced of there brethren.

I don't know if you guys now, but some of you act like we haven't recieved any information from The Hoarder. I thought I would add that we have been given enough info as of now. Sure, we have no clue on who is working on the project. We also have no clue what the story is. Though, the two teaser pictures and the message is already enough. You guys are not making any use to the information we've got at all. So I will be here and try to find clues of what we may know of the two pictures retreived.

Platformeranians: (1st image)
From what we know, the character may be from a tribe/race called the Platformeranians. He seems to be wearing a helmet with wings and a bottle of some unindentified liquid substance. This bottled liquid may be something to grant the people an effect. Either being energetic, flying, running or jumping. Also, it could be a decoration to the costume. It seems the person on the cover is wearing a tied up pillow. This can show that they play safe and secure. The background looks like it may be their city/culture area. In the very back right side, the house's wood fades away at the bottom. This could mean they live in the sky, or maybe live in an area with big heights. Maybe next to mountains to keep their structure if you want to be realistic. Also, maybe the tribe lives above sea? I don't imagine to see wood fading through the floor. Either the city floats in air, sea, and/or connected to a mountain/cliff. At the bottom of the teaser is the icon of a feather. This probably is their tribe symbol and colors.

Puzzling Teaser Art: (2nd image)
This tribe is very quite different than the Platformeranians. They're name is unknown as of now, but maybe their tribe name will involve "Puzzle." The character in the cover seems to wear a crown with leaves maybe, and metal. The character's face is too square like, which I find odd. This could mean that the crown surrounds everywhere but his face. More as of a helmet. I say this because the face is in a odd shape and his/her chin has another odd shape to it. Either the helm leads to the chin or the character has a goatee. If you look closely, it looks like some vine is connected to their right arm. (Your left) Maybe this can be a source of something. Either it can collect nutrients or feed off a power. Their style of clothing is very odd. The closest I could think of to a jungle based area is an Aztec tribe or a Native tribe. I'm more on the lead to an Aztec tribe because the silhouettes in the background. It could be geometric shapes in a jungle, but the first thing to pop up in my head was an Aztec like temple. It seems there is no floor in the background. Though, to be more realistic, I'm sure it's on floor rather floating in air. The Platformeranians can't be on floor because I'm sure skinney wood planks can not lift a house. Back to the Puzzle tribe. It seems they are probably an Aztec tribe with puzzles. At the bottom of the teaser is an odd icon. This is possibly their sign and colors too.

Obviously, Platformeranians are one race.
When we got the second image, there was another theme to it. So, the "Pu..." might be "Puzzling" or it can stand for another race name. Maybe, Puzzleranians?
The logos also give it away. The "feather" probably stands for agile or light on their feet, and the "complex block" can stand for mechanism (puzzle) makers.

The story: Rivalry between two unalike Sack races, but when faced with "The Hoarder" they team up!

By Me- Sorry, I know I shouldn't really quote myself, but I hope this helps anyway...

Wait a minute, look at the logos of the 2 pictures. The first shows a feather and the second a abstract block design. They are probably symbols for the groups (or tribes) of sackpeople in the story.

It is beginning to look like they have a sort of 'elements' theme. The first is air (hence the feather+ mask) and the second earth (leaves and blocks). Perhaps soon we will see a water and fire themed sacks. I am not sure if the sackpeople in the pictures are representing a whole 'tribe' or whether they are solo characters.

I might be wrong, but either way it sounds good. Elemental themes make good plots, however I have noticed fire is often the antagonist, which is a shame, even though I generally favour air...Sorry, back on topic:

The Hoarder is probably not in any of these 'themes', more likely he is trying to take over/destroy them, either with the technology he is looking for or you have to stop him before he finds it (or find it first). It might not have much to do with the elements, it might be just using them to create good settings.

Thats was all the theories I picked up from after the second picture was discovered. I hope it helps us come up with some new ideas from what people have been thinking. Let me know if I have missed anyone!

I think we're pretty close on those first three. I suggested the name puzzling (like halfling or gelfling) because it's the name on the poster. For the logic folk... maybe Techdemo'ns (as in demo)?

The last one is puzzling me. The only thought I get from the sackgirl is someone dressing up, making themselves look pretty, but that's something that mostly happens on the PS3 LBP. Costumeranian?

I'll just put in my 2 cents. Something tells me this is like the collaboration between MM and the community for the PS3 Game of the Year edition only levels. I can't see them releasing a PSP GotY. I'm thinking more like paid DLC pack of a group of levels by LBP PSP's more notable authors. Since I'm speculating, it would be nice if these levels included some kind of new functionality in the same vein as the paintinator or water. I doubt it =P But we can hope.

We are in serious need of new information here. I have squeezed, stamped on, drained, turned upside down,drained again, dissected, *insert info-extracting noun here* and squeezed all over again, every last drop of possible clues from all the posters, messages and all other vaguely Hoarder related things from this thread. Along with amassing a rather extensive Spam Hall of Shame (which has, I have got to admit, included me a occasional times when suffering of extreme Hoarder withdrawal), it has been an interesting and exciting thread when we have got information, or even a trace of some. But after 20-ish pages of ZILCH anything I am board out of my mind...

So people, goodbye and good luck, I am going on a long philosophical journey...wake me when something happens.

Well, we all heard that rtm can get pretty nasty when he's annoyed with spammers -- so don't spam!

Personally, I think the Hoarder has refrained from posting any information so that he can;

a) keep us in suspense
b) make room for him to think something up
c) relate the actual time to the timeline of the story going on on LBP PSP, so that he'll wait a little while before posting that he has "taken over the community moon after 5/6/7 days". Or something along those lines.

There's no guarantee that the Hoarder will post post 1000; someone else might post at pretty much the exact same time and ruin the moment for him.

Also, we have forgotten that the Hoarder hasn't posted anything on page 55, so that either means that we've figured too much out already, or we're just stupid and that "11" pages theory (mostly formulated by me and CyberSora) was completely wrong.

The Hoarder has been known to post in between every 11 pages (especially when everyone started to impersonate him/his assistants/lovers/advisors), and has been known to not actually post at all, but just send private messages.

If anyone has received a private message from the Hoarder, please step forward now.
On the bright side, we're getting closer to page 66 and post 1000 (completely disregarding me practically debunking both theories xD)

EDIT: Also, the mods messed up all the posts by deleting some spammy ones, so that The Hoarder's posts aren't actually on 11, 22, 33, and 44 anymore.

This thread isn't dead at all. In fact, it's just getting started.

The reason we asked the mods to keep this thread open is that this will be the official project thread, much like the "LBPC: The Game" thread over at the PS3 section. I've asked the boss, who's currently in a meeting, to update the OP (Original Post) when he returns so that it will be more descriptive and informational than it is now.

Also, if you've played the prologue level, you know that there are five tribes in all. Well, you got the teaser for two of them...how about the other three? And this time, the minions won't spoon-feed you! Good luck.

Right now, I'm not going to give out infractions for all those of you spamming, because a) It's partially my fault for being distracted by spam elsewhere in the forums, b) it would incur a significant quantity of paper work and c) it might be considered an act of ethnic cleansing if I silence half the PSP subcommunity and I'd really rather not have a call from Strasbourg anytime soon
