Cage matches only go to 20 kills, so you cant get a nuke. I have played for over 80 hours and have only been nuked by enemies once. Nukes are not too common, unless you are me.  I got 3 in 4 games a few days ago. Someone on youtube got 4 in 2 games back to back though...You're a camper and you're hiding. Therefore you don't get killed. | Hey, I'm having problems getting the online to work on PSN. Every time I look for a match, it searches for ages but can't find any players. Is this because my connection is too slow, or are there problems with the servers for PSN??? They're a dodgey crowd, I don't trust them and they took away Piratebay.... which lost them a lot of business since everyone just switched. I'll check about the NAT status later tonight. | I'm thinking that online play won't work if the connection is NAT 3. Don't quote me on that, though. I found this somewhere: Nat 3 is the result of being hooked into a router without being properly setup for data transfer. essentially it is restrictive. There are 3 ways to change your Nat type to type 2 or 1. (Nat type 2 meaning that it is properly setup without restrictions behind a router, and Nat 1 being a direct connection to the internet). 1.) Hook the PS3 directly into the modem will result in a Nat type 1, but of course that means disconnecting everything but the ps3 and that's an unnecessary hassle. 2.) Going into the router settings and Port Forwarding the PS3's necessary ports to the Ps3's ip address. 3.) Probably the simplest (on most routers) and most effective is to go into the router and set the PS3's ip address in the DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone), essentially the router doesnt have any say from what comes and goes to the Ps3, which is good so the connection isn't hampered. Man, I really do hate nukes  Im ok with getting nuked when the games about to end, but when a guy gets a lucky streak, gets chopper gunner, then a nuke, and the game hasn't even started, then he just presses the button and ends the game makes me mad. If you think about this logically, it's a really WTF thing. Why in the world would the army nuke themselves, IF THEY'RE WINNING. And also, who gives a soldier the ability to just choose when a nuke goes off. And of course, the nuke. Why would anybody nuke a tiny battle with, say, 16 people? Also, why the crap do the UAVs fly at such a low altitude? I thought they flew at about 2 miles high. And since when do people run around with two sawed-off shotguns that have miraculously-useless-at-more-than-20-feet ammo? | My favourite thing is playing matches on derail, preferably objective games. Arctic ghillie suit, arctic camo on my M21 w/silencer, M1014 if it gets too close, marathon for those times when you need to get away, stopping power to counteract the silencer, and ninja pro for the silent kills. It really is awesome. On domination on that map, no one goes out of their way to find you. You can shoot, move, shoot, move... All day... The can't see you, if they come to you you hide in the bushes, you shoot then sprint to another location if no one is looking, or crawl, just get away form where you were, then snipe them when they get to where you were. | Considering my best game is twenty-something and zero, I think I need to step it up a bit. O_o Sniping is helping quite a bit though, it's so much easier in the sense that it usually takes only one shot, not 3. | Let's say a dude is 24-0, 1 minute left in the game, you know he has the nuke set up. Use your EMP, and I guarantee you this dude will not be happy. Aka, he won't be able to use the nuke when he hits 25-0. It also destroys all air support on the map, it's actually pretty useful if it's used strategically. If you get a 15 streak, and die, you can't then use any of the killstreak rewards you get the enxt time though, can you? I thought it was always the highest one you ahve stacked that got used first... | You cannot KNOW he has a nuke though and he can always wait until the Emp wears off, or activate the nuke earlier. Considering I have been nuked less than 5 times total, it seems a lot to waste on air support, which thanks to One man army and Scavenger are free points. Also considering that the other kill streaks will net you kills that count towards your next streak, I really do not see a use for the Emp. Yesterday saw my favourite stolen package moment - picture this, the enemy saves up 2 package drops and 2 emergency drops from 2 lives and throws all 4 at once. It is 9v9 - Ground War. The packages land in the open. I have cold blooded pro and ninja pro. I crawl up to the packages unseen. Brilliant. As I reach the pile of packages, both teams are converging. The person who called them all in gets sniped by a member of my team after only recovering one box. I manage to steal a sentry gun and set it up facing the pile of boxes. | No, it is overrated. As is GoW (Gears, not God) Halo, Killzone, GTA, and various others. Sure, theya re great games, but they aren't the pinnacle of their respective genre's regardless of what reviews say. Just because CoD has sold well doesn't mean it can't be overrated, it's a CoD game, of course it will sell. But when BFBC2 comes out, expect a load of the people to go over to that instead. | Just found out that the reason the Pavelow doesn't add up to your killstreak is because it is glitched. All you really have to do is get a kill after getting your Pavelow, so basically hit the 10th killstreak mark with anything else and then you can use the Pavelow and it'll count towards it. There's a building I believe to the southeast (it has offices and such) where people like to camp and snipe out of the window... it overlooks a pretty frequently used spawn point, that and it's easy to defend so it can be hard to eliminate the campers. I used it the first couple of times I played that map to great effect... I was playing on my n00b account (I camp, noobtube and annoy people on it) and I get into a -believe it or not- ground war game on RUST! the best has yet to come, a little at the middle of the match I camp inside the rust building (ontop of the platform inside) and that got me a harrier. that harrier pilot was in a good mood as it got me an AC-130...seriously, I just spawnkilled the HELL out of the enemy team. I swear they were so stupid that they didn't even wait for the killcam to finish (since you can't be killed while watching it, duh), they just kept respawning. | There's a Ground War glitch where sometimes you would join a Domination on Rust, but there would not be ANY flags and EVERYONE is allowed to kill each other meaning it's like an 18-Player Free-For-All and you get points for killing your teammates. | I got the game at Christmas and thought I would never want to prestige. I got to about level 65 and then changed my mind. So I prestiged and, to my surprise, got up to level 13 in less than an hour. Throwing knife, tactical knife, smoke grenade, commando (only because I don't have ninja anymore), and intervention FTW. | Now I can only talk about the 360 version because that is what I have it on. I prestiged on MW1 and I regretted it straight away, which is why I refuse to do it on WAW or MW2 because I don't feel the need to have to re-unlock all my guns and stuff just so I can get some silly emblem. Also there seems to be a lot of people with modded pads on these days because there has been numeous times where I have been killed by people and their kill-cam showed them to be using a slow firing gun at machine gun speeds and then rleoading super-fast despite not having sleight of hand on, which just annoys me no end. I mean i don't mind dying that is to be expected, but I at least want to be killed fairly and not due to some modded controller Mmm, cold blooded. Sadly, Killzone 2 is still better than MW2..and I wish people would see it. Ya I love K2 multiplayer, tho I have not been on in weeks. just look up my PSN and if I am ever on I will give you a game (or anyoen else who wants one). But I have to tell you I don't have a headset so I won't be able to talk to you but that shouldn't stop us having fun shooting people. Oh and why is it better, well I find it is because of that game mode you can select where it actually cycles through the different game modes without leaving the game. The one where it will say kill the enemy team for so long, then teh time runs out and it says no capture the flag, now defend the flag...etc. It just makes it feel more EPIC Oh and back to MW2 but ya that game has been seriosuly lagging for me recently and last time I checked my internet speed it was running at 28mbps so I know it is not a problem on my end and as for that new thing where the host leaves and it is supposed to find a new one and carry on the game...9 times out of 10 it says server timed out and kicks everyone back to the game lobby, so really that was a totally pointless addition to the game. p.s. | We had 3 host migrations in one game earlier. One after the other. Then it lagged for the rest of the game. Earlier, I knifed someone and then it says they shot me, enven though he died from my knife! I knife him, run for a couple of seconds and itt says he shoots me. BUT THERE WAS NO ONE THERE! | No, it is overrated. As is GoW (Gears, not God) Halo, Killzone, GTA, and various others. Sure, theya re great games, but they aren't the pinnacle of their respective genre's regardless of what reviews say. Just because CoD has sold well doesn't mean it can't be overrated, it's a CoD game, of course it will sell. But when BFBC2 comes out, expect a load of the people to go over to that instead. Doesn't make it good, but it is new and will sell off the back of the previous games success. It could well be overrated... I was on top of the roof spawn killing them as they just spawned at the far back (pretty much were the rail road tracks start.) | I don't know if this has been discussed in this ridiculously long thread, so sorry if it has. Has anybody ever tried playing dead? It's surprisingly and humorously effective. If you are prone and you tap the button to switch weapons repeatedly, the player model turns his upper torso to the side and stays there because you are switching weapons before he turns back. It contorts your body and you look quite convincingly dead (wearing a ghillie suit makes it much more realistic, and cold blooded pro and ninja are a must), and there are few funnier things in this game than having the entire team sprint by you and even have some people run into you and still don't notice, and then proceeding to knife them all in rapid succession. Just a few minutes ago, I was playing on skidrow and I ran to the popular narrow passage that goes to the room with the mounted turret and played dead at the top of the steps. About 20 seconds later, the ENTIRE team was running in and camping in there. I got the fastest kill streak with only knives that I've ever seen. | I always used to play dead on COD4 in domination games. I captured every single flag in shipment doing this. I have only done it a few times on MW2 because I like getting kills and defending/covering flag capturers. It helps just as much and you get more kills. ALSO, on domination only get 2 points, not 3. This way you can trap them in their spawn. This only really works if you have a decent team that know what they are doing or just a full clan. It works soooo much better. | The secret to getting high killstreaks is... Pretty much find a building your familiar and comfortable with, and hold it down. The building should have a few windows or whatever that shows you a few transition areas of the map, the area your holding can also be a big transition area. Now the perks I use that get me nukes everytime are; Scavenger Pro (with claymores, put one claymore at each entry way, you can have two up at a time) Stopping Power Pro (extra damage because your primary weapon should ALWAYS be silenced) Ninja Pro (helps against heartbeat, and very useful to hear your enemies' footsteps) Yeah, I always get a nuke with that setup. Well 90% of the time. Some advice : After getting 10-13 kills in that area, I would suggest moving just slightly to another area but still able to see the area you were just at. After your enemy has been killed by you 3-4 times they usually get very frustrated and will come running after you. No, I wanted to get 10th prestige legit (as Moleynator stated) but a friend was over when I was out to get pizza I think. Come home to a hacked account.
