Speedy did have one but he couldn't keep running it. It would be nice if we could have a whitelisted FTB server ( might have to look into that myself), why whitelisted? because stuff in FTB is 100x more valuable than in Vanilla.		2013-05-06 22:32:00

As I just commented on your profile, I had to close it due to cost. I plan to re-open it again once I have a stable source of income, or a group of willing donors. *Hint hint Wink wink*

Edit- I'm actually looking into reopening my server right now... Current stuff I have chosen will cost around $20 a month.

I've already gotten used to it. It also adds some really cool upgrades to the basic IC2 machines that make them go SUPAH FAST.

Yeah, I'm still getting used to GregTech but all it means is you can't start IC2 right off the bat. It has given me the opportunity to explore other mods first I wouldn't have normally even dabbled in.2013-05-14 01:26:00

It seems your .cfg's for those mods aren't matching the server's. Try deleting the modpack and re-downloading it. If that doesn't work, ask Butter or David for a copy of their config folder.		2013-05-15 22:32:00

I use it at the weekends, in a month or so I should be properly active again. Anytime I go on the dynmap nowadays, PacersFan is the only person I see online, rather sad really. :C

I'm currently taking suggestions on the future of my server. It really is pointless for me to be playing 30 a month to keep up something that hardly anybody logs onto anymore. Any ideas to increase traffic or anything appreciated.2013-06-05 12:18:00

I've been playing Minecraft a lot more lately these last few days since school is out for me. I bet other people still have school stuff to worry about at the moment.

EDIT: Pocket Edition update 0.7.0 is finally out!

EDIT 2: As an owner of an Xperia PLAY, I'm not a fan of the new UI. I'm forced to use the touch screen to navigate the menu even with touch controls off, and It took a bit of messing around to get the hot-bar back to 9 items instead of 4.		2013-06-05 18:36:00

Well, my laptop started overheating again. Fortunately I'll be back home on vacation next month, so I can have the cooling system cleaned. Until then, I won't be playing any Minecraft.

I feel your pain, my previous laptop would overheat if I played ANY 3D game for more than 10 minutes(I could increase this to around 20 minutes if I ran them in windowed mode). I fixed it by getting a new laptop that isn't a Toshiba.

Anyway, I do log into the LBPC server every now and then, but I usually leave a few minutes after, since no one else is ever on, so if a couple more people were online, I'm sure it would slowly start to snowball. 		2013-06-07 23:45:00

Mine is an Acer. Turns out it's one of the most idiotically designed laptops there are. The air exits of the outer case are too darn small, one of them is blocked by some sheet of plastic from an inner component, the fan is weak, the motherboard has some kind of useless sticker instead of proper thermal paste... Some have been able to fix these problems manually, but I don't have the courage to open up my laptop and tinker with it myself.

Of course, I only found out about these problems two years after buying this piece of poo. I learnt my lesson: I'll never buy another electronic device without researching its quality beforehand.		2013-06-08 03:14:00

Regarding the future of the server, I don't know if this would effect the price of hosting a server, but how about reducing the actual number of players the server can hold? To say 15, or less. And regarding opening the server to more people/the public, we would need a better spawn, and more dedicated staff.		2013-06-08 23:23:00

One thing's for sure, I'd be a terrible staff member.

I don't mean getting new staff, I mean, if more people from other places, other than LBPC were to join, as in the server opening, the current staff would need to come on more often.

Thinking of "upgrading" (Matter of opinion) to Ultimate pack...

I also want to switch it over to a custom adventure/magic modpack (Ars Magica, Tinkers Construct, ThaumCraft, Thaumic Tinker, Natura, Biome's O' Plenty/ExtraBiomesXL, etc) for a little to celebrate the release of the Aether II (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1842350-151-alpha-aether-ii-genesis-of-the-void-v102-bug-fixes/) mod that just came out today. That, of course is up to whether you guys want to play that, or not.

Then I, of course, want to do a celebration of release for Cubed (http://www.reddit.com/r/cubed). It's a mod I've been looking forward to for quite some time. Once again, up to everybody else whether they want to or not. However I will warn you, now: You better want to.

Those two would only be up for a week or so and then I'd switch it back to the latest (Meaning about 3 seconds before the switch) backup and we can all resume from there.

FINALLY, I apologize for my inactivity on the server, Tan, David, and Alex. I've been playing on an Ultimate server with a buddy of mine who streams and some others. They know nothing about FTB so I've been teaching them the basics/doing everything for them/making stuff for myself and giving them what I've grown out of.		2013-06-11 04:34:00

Drop this (http://adf.ly/404181/optifined.net/adloadx.php?f=OptiFine_1.4.6_HD_D5.zip) version of Optifine into your InstMods (http://i.imgur.com/KaAHLkH.png) folder for any modpack and tweak the settings until it works. That's what I have to do on this PC (My mom's). I have to play on, quite literally, the lowest settings possible (Tiny render, smooth lighting off, no animations, etc) when I'm around my AE Network...		2013-06-11 20:06:00

Feed the beast mod pack... it's presented as a separate launcher so it won't interrupt your vanilla minecraft

can be found here:

once downloaded, select the mindcrack pack and your good to go. Then you just need to be whitelisted.

It's a good alternative to mods if you don't like messing around with files and just gives you more minecraft		2013-06-11 20:32:00

Feed the Beast, also known as FTB, originated as a custom challenge map in Minecraft that made heavy use of multiple tech mods. It played very similar to a type of map known as Sky Block, where the player is started in a void world with only a small platform, and must overcome a series of challenges. Because FTB included tech mods, it was possible to use the various custom blocks and items to keep track of the challenges and the player's progress, as well as automatically give awards after each challenge was met.

The mod pack used for the map then became very popular and soon evolved into many other packs including lite, ultimate and tech world. The Feed the Beast launcher was released in November of 2012 to a livestream of over 9000 people! Since then many youtubers have became involved with Feed the Beast and the community has continued to grow.

It's great fun. And with it, you have the choice of going through different routes:


You can go down the tech tree with IdustrialCraft, BuildCraft, Applied Energistics, Factorization, Thermal Expansion, etc.
You can take the nature route with Forestry, Twilight Forest, Natura, MystCraft, etc.

What error Is it giving you?

Run the launcher

Put in your minecraft log in details into the profile fields

Select mindcrack (8.3.2) from the list and launch it

go to multiplayer and add the server Ip: 72.51.46.225.25665

Wait for speedy to whitelist you.

Well I just checked and I can log in so it isn't the server's fault.

Make sure you are running 8.3.2 of "mindcrack" (you can see and select the version from the list of mod packs on the launcher)

That means you're trying to connect from the vanilla client. All stable first-party FTB modpacks are on MC 1.4.7. The FTB Client (found here (http://feed-the-beast.com/#download_wrapper)) will install the entire pack (Game + Mods) to a directory that you assign. Make sure you launch through the FTB client, as well.

Drop this (http://adf.ly/404181/optifined.net/adloadx.php?f=OptiFine_1.4.6_HD_D5.zip) version of Optifine into your InstMods (http://i.imgur.com/KaAHLkH.png) folder for any modpack and tweak the settings until it works. That's what I have to do on this PC (My mom's). I have to play on, quite literally, the lowest settings possible (Tiny render, smooth lighting off, no animations, etc) when I'm around my AE Network...

(its backed up, just need to set up a dropbox or something for you's guys)

Yup. Map will stay. (I've heard issues of nodes disappearing, however...) I can just generate a normal world in SSP and set that to be Dim1 with Myscraft and give everybody a book there.

I see where you're coming from but these modpacks greatly expand and enhance the current gameplay of Minecraft while carefully designed to maintain balance. Along with better armor and weapons there are also stronger mobs and whole new dimensions. You should give it a try because you'll probably find that you enjoy it because nobody on the server is close to end-game content yet (unlike vanilla MC which is basically diamond armor and dragon egg) and we've been playing for over a month.		2013-06-19 23:03:00

I've been designing myself a new base

And yes, I know it went down... I've been trying to get it to come back up but the host seems to be having connectivity issues.

Edit- Tan, may I ask what you guys were doing when it went down? I think I may know the issue...

Edit 2- Got it back up. You guys managed to corrupt the world, somehow... Were you using Grinders or Automatic Enchanters from MFR?

Use magic launcher instead. From what I hear 1.6 is acting weird with the normal launcher.

Okay, I need some help on my Minecraft. For some reason, my sound has not being coming up whenever I play the game. All other programs have sound but not Minecraft. I checked and my sound/music bars are 100% and it appears on my audio mixer. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the latest Java but that hasn't worked. I deleted and re-installed MC and still no prevail. Please help!

I've also noticed that occasionally on youtube, a video will sometimes lose sound when I pause and I have too reload the video. And when it does play, sometimes when it reaches a certain loudness, i hear static.		2013-06-30 18:07:00

I also miss 1.7.3. I loved the simpler elements of it(Mostly the fact that I didn't have to worry about a Hunger Bar, which is the most annoying thing in Minecraft, in my opinion), and that simplicity kept me playing for hours on end, but a lot of the bugs(Such as indestructible creatures in SMP) were very annoying. Although, if I could, I would love to play 1.7.3 again.

What I would really love in Minecraft right now, though, would be the option to disable the hunger bar(It would probably be a world generation option for SSP(Or a proper option like the difficulty), and it could be a server option for SMP), but I doubt that's going to happen(If anyone knows of a mod that can do this, I would love to know where to get it).		2013-07-11 15:09:00

There really is no point on spending money on a cubeworld server at the moment. The max limit the game can really handle is 4 people per server. You can configure the server to handle more but it just becomes glitchy. Also the game is in alpha and a lot of the skills the classes have cause the server to crash (the scout has a few skills that cause this).

I host a server for The Turtle Crew and it does fine. Like I said, you are really only hosting it for 3 other people, so you don't need a strong rig to do it, I'd say hold off on spending money on a server until the limit is increased and the crashes have been fixed. Hey everybody!

So obviously I haven't been on the server a great deal. This was due to college taking over, going out places, and playing League of Legends (loads).

This past few weeks I've been on Holiday in France too, which doesn't help..!

But, I'm returning at the beginning of August and hope to be visiting the server a lot more. I mean sure, I just bought the Skyrim bundle in the Steam sale, and have been doing tons of research on how to improve in League of Legends, so I WILL be playing these as well. However, I'm also planning on starting up some sort of project with my friend from college- because when I get stuck into a large minecraft project, it always reminds me of the old days which gives me a great feeling of nostalgia. (The Teuthidahurst, Floating spawn plateau and Nether Transit days with Jirugameshi's wacky creations floating about the place)

I want to try and recreate that again and make a ton more stuff! If you've been on recently, you may have seen the little spawn I made and the floating LBPC letters (if your render distance isn't too low!). Hopefully I'll be able to contribute a lot more than that to the server now :3		2013-07-18 17:02:00

EDIT: NVM, got it to work. Been playing with marsh a bit because hes like a pro with it but total can't get it to work. ATM we're making a house in the side of a cliff in between a desert/huge tree biome

"Log thing" a.k.a. a barrel... you simply need to hold the item and click on it to put stuff in.

Ah, neat. I've been watching forestry tutorials so on the new map I'm gonna focus on RedPower/Forestry/ThaumCraft more instead of ic2 and Thermal Expansion. :3

RedPower hasn't been updated to 1.5.2. I'm installing some replacement mods for a few features, though (Microblocks and Logic Gates).

Other mods I'm adding are: GregTech, Ars Magica, and an NBT Edit mod for me to use as a moderating tool.
