There's also always this as a possibility... Back in the LBP2 beta i found out that I did get in the beta but my email didn't get the mail for some reason. i messaged Tom about it and he gave me my code i was suppose to get. so now i am always a bit worried if I am able to get beta invites because of last time of it messing up on me for i've no clue why. *mew		2012-05-30 01:45:00

If this is because you couldn't get into the beta forums, in order to gain access each tester has to accept an NDA agreement to be granted 'Permissions" as I'm told. That NDA agreement is IN the beta email. So you won't know at all until you get an email or not 		2012-05-31 03:10:00

Too bad too... Lbp2's beta was sooo much fun (especially the bug finding) (which reminds me: did you guys know that in the lbp2 beta (at least when i entered) sackboy was in the thack layer (not the thick layer)... whoda thunk it )

It would be awesome to the huge LBP fans(who've been with the series since day 1) to participate if they didn't get a code. Either way I don't mind missing out for now, we're getting more LBPK/Vita news at E3 so that's something to look forward to.

Some are some aren't. Some betas like Modnation, uncharted 2, and All 4 One had a time limit (that not even changing the date hepled). Once the time passes you can no longer access it.

While the LBP2 beta SERVERS closed about a few weeks before the release. You can still play the beta as long as you want.		2012-05-31 07:49:00

One reason I want to get in the beta is because if I just make a crappy tetris or lumines level in an hour, it'll probably be featured. There's only like 200 levels right now, so it would be bound to be noticed.

I mean the level that's featured right now is a remake of the helicopter flash game where you just go up and down and avoid walls. How long did that take? Probably a little over an hour. And it's FEATURED.		2012-05-31 19:09:00

I don't think they really need to test server, since it's not a secret it runs on same server as LBP1 and 2... or else they changed P2P negotiation system, since it's really lacking in LBP1/2		2012-06-01 04:55:00

Step 5: Read message

It seems like there are a ton of good creators that got snubbed on beta keys.

I am more tuned into the psp side of this community, and I wish Valmassoi, nysudyrgh, and Schark and a few other had gotten in. I know you guys would adapt well to the vita version.

Funny thing is, I made a song in lbp2 that actually sounds a lot like the song in the beginning. It's 8-bit, instead of the glockenspiel, or whatever that is, but the chords are almost exactly the same. It blew my freakin mind when I first heard it. I was in the LBP2 beta, albeit via a Playstation Blog giveaway.

It was quite fun, although all the bugs were found by then. I enjoyed seeing all the amazing content created by the community. Playing it was great, too! I wanna have that same feeling again, which is why I want the LBP Vita beta.

Well, portability is a huge factor here. Being able to create anywhere I want will allow me to get any idea I have down ASAP. I spend a lot of my time upstairs, and the PS3 is downstairs. I've been quite tired lately, so making the trek hasn't been a desirable option for me. And yes, I tried LBP PSP. I couldn't get into it.

The plethora of new tools doesn't hurt either. Not to mention the story looks pretty interesting.

In fact, LBP Vita prompted me not only to come visit LBPC again (total coincidence that it was around beta season), but also to go pick up LBP2.

I really hope I get a beta soon, IDK if I can wait until November for the PS3/Vita DLC pack. I was babysitting my cousin the other day and we decided to play LBP2 like we always do. I'm not kidding, we were both pretty bored. The gameplay unfortunately is starting to feel dull, and I need something new. The Vita's controls would definitely spice up LBP a bit.

I just don't know how games like Mario Brothers does it. Every mario game I've played, no matter how many times, never get bored of it. Confusing, since I don't have the same feeling with LBP and it has similar mechanics. Anyone feel the same way? I think maybe because Sackboy doesn't run fast enough, there's never 'enemies' to jump on(more grabbing and walking), and LBP's lighting is more dark/serious. Those are my guesses.

iirc, all the betas for each game/stage of the game had the full create mode. the levels/prizes were not available though. but yea. if they want it tested, it's in the beta, and you can be sure they are watching that one closely.

Yes, it's in the beta.

Once you figure it out, it's awesome! I haven't actually made a full level yet, but so far I have a memoriser that remembers which collectibles you've found throughout the level, and then stops them spawning next time around. It's simple, but really cool.		2012-06-11 23:35:00

I'm pretty sure they can't fake a Vita symbol in a level name when they're playing LBP2.

Anyway, Some good can come out of not having an invite.
1: I don't have to feel bad for/keep secrets from my friends who don't get in, because I'm in the same boat as them
2: I won't spoil the "New feeling" of the game on official release.I didn't quite get it from LBP2 due to my beta access.
3: I won't be distracted from my LBP2 level progress.
4: My exams are this coming week, and LBPV Beta would only distract me even more from getting prepared for them.

I came out with a frown on my face and not a single code in hand, but then I thought of the points above and realized that it's just a buggy beta with a few levels and a very small portion of whats to come in the creation aspect. (Not saying I wouldn't want a beta invite)

I'm sure that the time will pass quick enough, and we will have the full game, (or another wave of invites) upon us shortly

Well, I'm trying VERY hard not to be angry/jealous right now. I have all the LBPs, have published a level, and I have a Vita yet I didn't get in. But a friend who doesn't even have LBP1/2 got in... Why would an automated computer send invites out like that? Not to mention I signed up for the beta within a couple hours it was posted.

This sucks. I wanted something to hold me over til the final release that is months from now. Sorry for all you others that didn't get accepted either. It seems unfair with all the disrespectful beta testers posting videos on Youtube when they're told not to.

Just remember everyone, at some point in the future when we all own the game and have been playing it and loving it for months, none of us will even care if we were in the beta or not.

i can understand your frustration, LBPfan92, and if I thought about it that way i would probably get upset too. but knowing that it wouldn't magically make the Beta appear for me and that it can only fill my joyful day with unhappiness, i'd avoid that way of thinking all together. those people are just lucky and we'll get to play the finished product, comfortable in the notion that to us the experience of creating and playing for the first time will be amazing and 'complete'2012-06-12 18:45:00

that's the ticket! I don't only think the Vita version will be better than LBP2, I think that it'll be a lot more stable. I'm also looking forward to booting it up for the first time and getting that LBP vibe. In the mean time i'm going to be finishing my second level and killing time that way... yeah, the purple goo that's stretchy. i've been trying to find the video but i can't. it's trick done with the dephysicalizer. and from what i've 'accidentally seen' sackboy does look a little less floaty
