well besides that I don't like the look of it. there are other reason why I find it bad.
It takes up to many layers. unless you use the 3D layer tools, it don't make sense for the basic BG
to go beyond the 3 normal layers IMO.

also the most worse reason is when you rewind or fast-forward it all turns black for a second.
it's just to detailed for Something the player should never see once the level is done.
plus It's like when you draw. would you draw on a blank paper? or one with lines and junk already all over it?
but it's just a small nit pick of mine. all that matters is using whatever you feel comfy with~ 8&apos

I change my background as soon as I decided on which one is more appropriate for the level I'm making. I'd like to have a a background that's just a forest, nothing more. No sign of civilization. The Gardens background is too much like a garden (appropriately), The Temples background is too much like a jungle... Eve's asylum would be perfect but unfortunately it has those crazy machines right in the middle of it I just went with the Temples then.2011-09-13 04:17:00

Not mad.... but sad (in the same ballpark, right?)

Not getting a single reply to your showcase QQ

I know Im a nobody, but just like many on here who bother to test and tweak the crap out of our levels, its nice to show at least some people ^^' Plus, as unpopular as hard levels are (and I wasnt expecting mine to break the mould or anything!), its been thrown around enough that people are tired of the mass of too easy levels.

I wont give myself a shameless/cheeky self bump (!), but heres the link (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=63198-Circuitous-pigment-induction-HARD) if you missed it (Just added a video clip too).

Also, another thing that bugs me.

People that copy's other peoples success. there was only one "funny" movie, it had actually good humor called "that funny show" or something like that. than someone makes a level called "that LOL show" and it has fart jokes galour.

Anyone remember mr_robot_cheese from LBP1? he copied everyones ideas.

When someone pressed L2 on their popit over something important, and then it's unselectable, and no matter how many times I tell them what to do, they still don't get it. They're too stupid to know what's wrong. 2011-09-13 21:59:00

What I hate A LOT is when I play a popular level that contains like millions of emo people photographing their faces. I mean WHO CARES?? I want to see pictures of the level, not weirdos taking pictures of their faces (and most of the time, it looks like a 4 year old is taking the photograph. if you're going to photograph your face, at least make it look good!).

Hehe, most of my LBP2 levels have either a fixed top-down camera with a top-down sackbot, or you're playing as a sackbot, both have prevented ANY scene kid pics on those levels, and they were on cool pages for a few days.2011-09-14 05:02:00

"i heart you pls play & hert me & my lvls"

These things tend to really irk me when playing "war" in construction mode (everyone builds a fort, weaponry, all that sort).

- Unexpected rewinds by the group leader (at best it wipes out some insignificant changes, at worst forces me to do a thing again entirely, due to Popit losing focus)

- Indiscriminate tampering (someone comes, manages to wipe all bolt attachments off a wall by using the triangle button+rotate it a bit destroying the rest of the holding mechanisms.. and as the result, half of the fort comes tumbling down due to laws of physics; host refuses to rewind -> super annoyed).

- Unrealistic objects (middle ages != plasma walls, or fast-firing cannons).

------------------------------

I will have my revenge later on (already snared a victim to my tag scrambler; gonna try the same with the controlinator version as soon as possible... :kz

What's wrong with it, Luos? I just spent 3-4 hours creating and I noticed nothing different.
I like that menu. At first I didn't realize how useful it was but recently I began creating way faster by using it

What do you use the star menu for? I never use it....

It's a menu containing all the goodies, tools, stickers and decorations you used until now (in the level you're currently creating). It works just like the other menus: you can go there and choose what to summon, the only difference is that it has only the stuff currently existing in your level. Whenever you want to spare thermo and not use a new material or object, you just go into this menu and look for something you already used most closely resembling your needs. It's also easier and faster to look for something since there aren't as many items as in the other menus.

It serves as a kind of "shortcut menu", basically. Let's say you want to make an object in that kind of wood you used 10 minutes ago. Thing is, even with the collapsable categories of LBP2's inventory there's a gigantic section full of various kinds of wood confusing you and making you waste like half a minute to find the right one. Instead you just go into the "Personal" section (known as the "star menu"), spot the wood you were looking for among the dozen or so other materials in use, and v?il?.

Oh yeah. I never need it. I know where everything is or what i've used in my level.
I always keep my popit very organized. But I suppose I see why other people may find A use for it.

Edit:
I think you misunderstood me. I know what it does and whats it for.
I just never found it useful myself. I was asking what he uses it for.
Guess i kinda knew all a long what he most use it for. Dono why I asked that.

making you waste like half a minute
Yohoho.... A whole half minute?... What, do you people try to create as fast as possible or something?
I'm never worry with taking my time creating, and taking a minute or 5 to look for stuff. *mew

Well I don't know about you but I'm easily distracted. When I waste too much searching for an object or material I become unfocused with all the items in the inventory. A random item catches my eye and I start wondering "maybe I could do X with Y or A with B?" and I just forget what was the thing I really needed until it crosses my mind again. And that's why the last time I started making a level I began by picking materials, deco and a few objects that go with the theme of my level and that I'll surely use, put them all in a remote corner and have them ready on my "Personal" menu for easy access.

Everybody has different methods of creating, I guess. I'm not surprised Luos uses this menu as his levels always have a lot of elements in them.

To be honest I try to do that on purpose. I never know 100% for sure what I want to include in my level.
so I want to always leave all possibilities open. I always hate to think I messed up by limiting myself at all.

LBP is acting weird since 1.06 came out. And I mean even before I updated (I played it without updating for a while). The menus take long to load, specially in create mode, the music is lagging and everytime I exit the game it forces me to restart the PS3. Not angry, but worried.2011-09-19 01:20:00

All that has been happening to me a few times even before 1.06. Not constantly, but sometimes. Sometimes the music gets stuck in a constant, highly frequent loop for a few seconds. It worries me too. Maybe MM has made the game more prone to lag over time? If there's something I definitely miss from LBP1 is the lack of lag. And I don't know who's to blame: MM's optimization or the PS3's ridiculously outdated RAM and processing capacity. Or both.

Rant time! I hate how a vast majority of Mm picks only play rate and review other Mm picks levels. There's a little selective group and somehow another Mm pick always ends up having the highest review. Oh what a shocker. You wanna know another selective group that this little formula applies to? Trolls! Trolls only play, heart and review other trolls levels too, but add in a mix of leaving yayed reviews on terrible or offensive levels. What does that leave us with? Only Mm picks, troll levels and terrible levels that trolls left reviews on get all the plays.

You want to be successful or known in LBP? Either get lucky and get a Mm pick or become a troll and leave filth in the community that half of it loves. Because actually trying to make a name for yourself by being nice, helpful and putting forth a ton of effort clearly doesn't get you anywhere fast. I just hate to see these trolls with so many hearts and a steady stream of plays on there useless patches of crap they call levels.

Gotta love the community. What are we supposed to do with a bunch of stuck ups on one hand and sickening jerks in the other.

1. Release the level you worked hard on

2. Play it -- Better make sure if It's playable for everyone

3. Notice a flaw

4. Quick! Back to the moon to fix it before someone plays that level!

5. Fix the issue

6. Go back to phase 1.

People not letting you join their game, especially when I'm hunting for partners to do the 2-4x stuff.

I feel like the LBP1 players were way nicer compared to the people I'm seeing in LBP2. Then they finish a level and immediately take you to their pod to show it off. Wth? I'm not here to look at your pod, dude. Or get taken to a creator level for you to show yourself off. Seriously.

Since LBP 1, I've wished our level badges would show up crisp and clear. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get a clear picture that lines up with our badge.

MM needs to make a Level Badge Picture tool. This should have been there from the beginning of LBP1.

Maybe if we could choose the texture of the badge like we can with checkpoints and scoreboards. Cloth, metal, plastic, cardboard... Cardboard being the clearest. It'd be great for levels with different themes. Like shining metal for sci-fi levels, wood for medieval levels, etc. Especially if it wouldn't cause a significant increase in a planet's loading time.

These fellas:

That village in the pack's levels would have been much more original if they had used these instead of sackbots.

When people boo a Move level because they don't have a Move. That's like hating a PS3 for not having one. Why play if they don't even have one?

And what I hate even more is that they tell the creator to make it for the regular controller. I've gotten a bunch of complaints like that on my Day with Mr. Putty level. Okay, how are you supposed to pick up and throw things with a regular controller, huh? I don't think grabinators would work too well for it.

:kz: When I Join a game with some kid on a Mic & they keep going without stopping for me. Then when I go without stopping for them, they call me an idiot & either Kick Me or keep name-calling me.

EDIT: When they keep going without stopping & Die by something & they keep saying "go bak" over & over again...even when the next Checkpoint is up ahead.

I have no idea why, but I absolutely DESPISE sub-levels. What if I want to play part 2 and don't want to play the whole thing all over again? What if part 2 took forever to load, I ran out of lives, and I have to play the WHOLE thing over again, and wait for the level to load again?

And what I hate most about them, THEY TAKE UP LEVEL SPACE ON YOUR EARTH. I find them a complete waste of space on my Earth, so if my level is overheating, I either just make it end there, or I make a part 2, but as an entirely different level.

To set the record straight, the move pack is amazing and well worth it to me. And besides, I'm pretty sure they're working on fixing things. Who knows? They may have been working on fixing these things in tandem with developing the move pack this whole time, and just haven't gotten it all figured out yet.

Finding out that I was kicked just because I won a versus level. *********G RETARDS.

EDIT: I have never kicked anybody for winning a versus level. I might slap them, but only if they slapped me when I won a versus level. I just don't understand why people kick other people for winning in a versus level. I mean, it's just a GAME. Versus levels are meant to have fun while competing with other players! This makes me angry and wonder at the same time. *_*

When one of my friends that lives next door kicks my balls just because I rated his level(s) bad (okay, maybe I was KINDA exaggerating). He/she thinks it looks bad for their reputation and goes on and on about how I should've had more grace when it came to rating their level(s). I was just being honest! School teaches you to be honest and even my friends say I should be honest. And now they criticize me for being honest?! When I go to LBP.me to check if there's any recent feedback to my level. I'm watching the general Recent Activity and in the lower part of the page, almost off-screen, there's a review from a great omnipotent multi-MM Picked creator telling that "the level is pretty good". And right when I'm thinking that a holy LBP deity played my level I scroll down and I realize it's not my level he/she's talking about, and the review is only in my feed because I hearted that creator after all.2011-10-13 15:15:00

Lack of LBP2 levels with themes that tend to originate further than what's standard.

As in, a lot of levels are just sci-fi now, and if it does have natural stuff, then it's likely to use the Eve's Asylum background and/or some kind of neon lights in the scenery.

LBP2 themes are too clean and shiny, I want old grungy stuff. Dirt, rough rusted rivets and flaking flimsy wood slapped together with string, tape, and dark fingerprint stickers everywhere. Change them scoreboards and checkpoint materials to wood and cardboard, non of that shiny metal or undesirable plastic. Goodness.

and they help your friends to reject the idea to jump without reason in your pod and redesign it with stickers or suicide without purpose in the levels. p

I hate the stereotype that if a level looks bad, it's automatically a bad level, and if it looks good, it's automatically good. Visuals don't determine how good a level is. I remember this one level I played on the cool pages was just a horizontal jungle level, and it had a few jumps and swings with the grappling hook. But it had a lot of decos and looked pretty so it got good reviews. I posted a review saying "The visuals were good but the gameplay was lacking, plus you used the game cameras WAY too much and the angle changes got annoying" and it got like 5 down votes.

On the other hand, has anyone played Vandz's Complicated Simplicity III? That is my all time favorite LBP level, it's a classic. It has extremely creative gameplay, but I feel like the only thing that was keeping it from an MM pick is that the visuals were really simple. There aren't enough levels like it.

My point is, because of this stereotype, the only popular "quality" levels I see don't focus at all on creative gameplay anymore.. they're just average platformers shielded by flashy visuals. /rant

I always used a keyboard, but then my little sister almost tripped on the cord. She didn't fall, but the keyboard fell off my lap into the ground. I saw no external damage but it wouldn't work again . Her foot must have yanked the cord so bad the internal wiring got screwed up

That made me mad. we should have a thread about things that make us mad IRL.

On that subject, in my checkers level, I used a permanent switch for a cutscene at the start, but if you backtrack it plays some of the cinematics again. I tried everything including placing the cameras on a microchip on a piece of holo that deletes itself at the end of the sequence, but it still didn't work! Must be a bug.

Well, in my experience, you have to club people over the head with hints. So, I can see people panning to a switch or something.

But I do agree, I don't need to see a 30 sec movie every time I've opened a door.

Speaking of which, I really don't like when I struggled to get to a switch, dying tons of times, only to open a door from all the way back where I just came from. Grrr.

What I don't get is why Hazbell, stephanie ravens/deadtro1/whatever get so many hearts from everyone including some of the better creators? Isn't hazbell responsible for the scoreboards being glitched?2011-10-18 12:10:00

Anyone could have been responsible for the scoreboard crisis. If not Hazbell then someone else would have found out sooner or later and revealed it to the world in order to get his 5 minutes of fame.
People have to be sad, sad creatures to make stuff like this for a few scraps of attention. The negative kind of attention.

No, the glitch was always there... he just found it. Anyone could have found it, but Hazbell is doing the right thing and working with MM to fix it (more or less). He's also developed tools to protect you from the glitch's abuse. He has hearts because he does the right thing (most of the time).

...heh, yes it does.. What I posted does. Anyways I wouldn't say he's a troll.. but tons of people say they are "joking" which can be taken as trolling. He is definitely moody and if you truly make him mad he will do stupid things, but the hate of overlord and the blame is quite annoying to hear.. Scores being taken down is because of one part of overlords abuse. The practical use of what overlord allowed us to do was revolutionary. If it were applied to levels and set by the creator, to have chips or tags on player 1-4 or all of them trough global settings or something we wouldn't even really need player sackbots anymore and would also have basic player data much more integrated into levels, because of the tags.
To me customization that great in LBP (a game of customization) should not be frowned upon. The risk of Spawn pop was definitely a good warning and it was only truly abuse when score givers were added to it.

He seemed to be under the illusion that he'd end up working for Mm. With that in mind Hazbell probably saw the overlord protection tools as a way to get kudos and paint themselves as the "good guy". It all came across as rather self-serving to me.

:kz: Stupid or Unaware, I dunno, but this has to take the Re-Re Cake for me:

When a person is talking in Story Mode
(Ex. Higginbotham explaining that the Ship is under attack by the Negativatron in the first Cosmos level)
& in order to continue, you have to exit out of all the Speech Bubbles. When I Join in & the Host gets to this part, they're stumped & don't know what to do. They try pushing the Door, pacing back & forth, & then eventually Quit...
When all they had to do was press O.

It's not your own stupidity. Sometimes there are non-conventional mechanics in a level that are kind of elusive to us. For example when we're supposed to grab an object that's made of a non-grabbable material (the creator changed its grabbability with a tweaker) and doesn't look like something that's interactive. People would take a while until they understood that thingy should be grabbed. And sadly, judging by the most recent generation of gaming kids that seem to suffer from severe ADHD, some will ragequit the precise moment they don't know what they are supposed to do.

Anyway, good level design should give out subtle but not too obvious hints about what we're supposed to do. For example said object should be made of grabbable material so that players instantly recognize it or stickered in a color that will make it slightly stand out. That's how after a few seconds of inspecting the environment the player notices it and thinks "I should interact with that object in some way"

The fact that I can't log into PSN to play the latest 15 or so MM picks is driving me seriously nuts. So MM, it's fine not picking any levels AT ALL during the two last months before I traveled to another country, and now that I can't get online you get all trigger happy with the MM pick cannon? The things I most hate:

- Levels that are almost blank, with a message near the scoreboard saying "please heart me". Specially if they've got thousands of hearts!

- Most of "Cool Levels" tend to not be so cool.

- People that adds "boo"s to levels without even knowing why.

- LBP2's logics processing speed is a bit slow (I'm not sure how to explain this point accurately, but a signal can late 0'1 seconds to completely go through some logic "functions". In addition, the ON/OFF max changing rate is only 30 times per second! :S)

- Impatient people that leaves inmediately after diving in my pod without giving time to load the level or something.

- The Story Mode is soooo infantile (I know, it's a game for children, but still hate it. There should be +18 games of this kind)

- People that saves objects of other people in create mode without asking for it first.

- The Black Points Glitch.

- Not to find logic solution for some bugs in my moon's projects.

- The annoying "camera monster" that limits possibilities to create good levels. There should be an Split Screen or something...

- The LaG! My connection sucks and I've got a lot of it.

- The thermometer hasn't got as much cappacity as I'd like it to have.

And, probably the thing I most hate: freezing when working out complex chips! I've developed better skills to minimize it, but it's still annoying.

The HUGE amount of lag that comes when I want to try and detach something glued to loads of parts (i.e, a regular part of my level), especially if I accidently click it and have to wait ages to do anything else desperatly mashing circle.2011-11-08 21:27:00

I personally hate it when someone I don't know wants to join me. They probably don't mean to be a nuisance, but i'm an aggressive loner by nature!

Seriously though, I generally don't like playing with other people I don't know.

I hate having to scroll through all the stickers just to find something suitable for my level; that sticker library is ridiculously long. Give me that many different materials I can use and i'll be a happy creator!

That's all really. I might start a thread with things I LOVE about this game!

Oh, also when people glue bounce pads to the floor, as opposed to putting it in the floor and making the top of the bounce pad part of the floor. What's the point in jumping to get onto a bouncepad? Such a stupid little thing, but it really bugs me.2011-11-09 16:00:00

Lately, I've been finding very annoying when I have filled up my objects or pics, so, I delete something to make more room, but it still says its full, making me delete something else.

So, I take a pic and it says its full again. It makes me delete two slots to get one back!

Go to the settings, there's an option somewhere that allows you to automatically reject people you don't know. The game won't even ask you if you want them to join.

Okay, this isn't specific to LBP but I see it in a LOT of level descriptions: the word "addictING" as opposed to "addictIVE"! It really grinds my effing gears!! Stop molesting the English language, you ignorant curs!

P.S: if there is anyone here who is guilty of this, i'm sorry. I'm sure you're decent people with good hearts.

Not "molesting" the English language is easier said than done for people who don't have english as native language. Please consider that. If another language instead of English was internationally used by default, I'm pretty sure you'd have a hard time using it correctly 100% of the time.

Whilst this may be true, I am more referring to those whose first language IS English; all the same, I apologise for not having clarified my point, and was not intending to cause offense to anyone.

It was meant to be mock-serious/light-hearted, but once again we hit a communication obstacle thanks to the joys of the written word!

Circular decorations, easily mistaken for level entrances, on planets.
Bad speling (*) in level titles. Thankfully, the variants of "BONCE HOSE" have all but vanished; for a while I was tempted to create a "BONCE HOSE" level featuring sackbots with water emitting creatinators and a lecture about the function of the key between the "Y" and the "I".
Prize bubble spam.
People who downvote reviews with genuine constructive criticism.

(*) Spelling error required by the laws of the Internet.

I hate, hate, HATE "yay this review if you agree" reviews. They make me feel awful if I yay them or if I boo them. It's like, I don't like the review obviously, but I may very well agree with whoever wrote the review. I could not rate it at all, but then I feel bad for allowing it to be the top review. Those reviews are a little like asking for hearts. You feel like the person is trying to force you to do something, which isn't the nicest feeling. And anyways, if someone agreed with you, they'd probably yay the review anyways. It's like the person is so desperate to be the top review (even if their reviews simply states "PART 2!!!!!! Yay if you agree!!!!!!!!!!" [Note the excessive punctuation]) that they say something they think a lot of people agree with, and then manipulate them into yaying their awful review. The worst part is, I have to dig through tons of these before I spot a decent review that gives honest feedback about the level.2011-11-23 04:05:00

Try finding a level that doesn't have more yays than boos. Most of them have positive reviews no matter how terrible. If I was in charge at Media Molecule the mm picks page would look a lot different. There are some picks that make me wonder what spaff or whoever consider to be a "good" level.

-People that just randomly join, and have Hero Hair on. And if you don't go to a level within a minute of them joining, they leave.

-Music sackbots. You can barely hear the music. Not to mention the music is probably some overrated song like Dynamite.

-Girls who wear bikinis. Sackboy wasn't meant for that sort of thing.

-Girls who wear bikinis and have Buck-Teeth and take really close pictures of their face and put them on EVERY LEVEL EVER.

-I remember this guy from LBP1 who took pictures of a wolf and put them in every story level. Then he re-took a photo, and uploaded EVERY SINGLE PICTURE.

-People who randomly join you, you go to create mode, and they do one of the following:
1. Fly for a bit, thinking "WTF I CAN FLY" and leave
2. Spawn like 8 of the same exact community object
3. Roleplay. Once someone joined me and made an island, and said "were on a desrt islnd and we hav no fod!11"
4. Place down music sackbots (see above)
5. Place down a music sequencer from some "cool" level and dance, then when the song ends or you delete it, they leave.
6. Create absolute crap.

-supper maro/kreby/pokyman/sonc/spong bub/ spongg boob levels. They are just bad.

^ That's awesome.

----

Mm should have an option(on or off) that makes it so, whenever you capture an object via Goodies Bag --> Capture Object, it immediately asks you to name the object and description. It could also be enabled by default or an untoggleable change, but the problem is if you want to quickly save things(either way, name ALL the objects, de mon avis.) it might be a pain.
This option would be good to have because it would actually be convenient for creators like me. Most people use the thumbnails to find their object, but names and descriptions are awesome.
Even creators like me forget to name objects.

----

What I hate/detest/don't like in small amounts:

[QUOTE=HellFire2345;958744]— People that just randomly join, and have Hero Hair on. And if you don't go to a level within a minute of them joining, they leave.
— young or old people that act too young
— people using the item "Teeth", hair, and cartoon eyes. Default sackboy is best sackboy.
— people clinging to a create mode sack
— <3 me pl0x
— propar grammer am i doeng it write
— music sackbots (with childish or trending music mainly)
— placing community objects only, again, mostly music sackbots, cool mechanical objects, or nukes in freestyle Create™. Freestyle Create™ is for original objects, which I say to all who enter my realm.

----

One last thing:

— Girls who wear bikinis. Sackboy wasn't meant for that sort of thing.

Well, what kind of sackboy would he be if he were a girl? I mean duh, booooring! (http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm304/Rigatopolis/alex5-21.png?t=1305759635)

While everything else Copied levels, shark, bomb, free dlc, h4h, blank levels, are a pain. What really makes me angry is you review a level and all of a sudden you are called a hater. All I do is give an honest review say whats wrong with it and I'm called a hater. I even offer tips on what to do.I don't hate anyone I just review it if you don't agree with it just yay or boo the review don't go on their profile and start calling that person names, hater, n00b, troll, etc. Also those who can't spell worth a darn quit it. Get a dictionary and learn to spell. Don't publish copied levels, use the grid to make stairs platforms etc. If you use the blank level background you shouldn't see it, dark matter should never be seen period. never ever use static characters, dont put just an entrance and scoreboard with a billion score bubbles in between them, or giant bounce pads instead of score bubbles and call it a level. use level links not the scoreboard for your other levels. A lot of people complain they do not get any plays on their levels ADVERTISE THEM ! Just posting a level will not automatically get you plays you have to advertise it first. The other day I left a review on a friends level along the lines of 'great level, the platforming flows well, except I think the camera angles are a little too extreme. Toward the end there was a section where it was difficult to see the 'safe zone' that I needed to jump to'

It got three boos and my guess was to make it not the number 1 comment (which ended up being) 'orsum yay if u aggre'. Which had the same amount of yays as mine had boos

Long line of point bubbles

Following line as fast as possible for a good combo

Almost to the end when suddenly SPEECH BUBBLE! You realize you will never have as good of a score as most players who jumped there and that all your previous work to get up there in the rankings is for nothing.

Oh yeah, also when you spend weeks/months on a project you end up proud of, go show it to some people online in create mode, and have a stranger capture it. My poor walking ragdolls!

I absolutely hate when you join someone and they go to their moon to show off:
A) Crummy community objects
B) Their very own crummy objects.
It's usually a mech that they didn't make, and they just love to annoy you by murdering you with it. They think they're impressing you, and continue to show off anything that explodes on you.
Today this weirdo invited me to his game. I figured out that he hearted me and my levels, and went along with him. But then he just took me to his moon and pulled out flying blocks that shot missiles. He murdered me, and then kicked me. He invited me again to show me my OWN earth, and kicked me once again. He invited me AGAIN and I refused. He sent me fourty (yes I counted) invites in less than twenty seconds (spamming the invite button), and I just blocked him. Peace at last.

Get an instant destroyer chip (just a NOT gate attached to itself and a destroyer) and have fun placing it on individual segments (of the leg mostly) and watching it topple over. Hours of fun.

Other than that, the fact I cannot for the life of me think of anything to make now.

....People who boo....but don't say what they didn't like.

I did this, but only accidentally because I was in someone else's online party. I didn't think of it much at the time, but much to my utter pleasure, when I had returned, I found a "nice" comment on my profile regarding how my avatar sucked. I apologised, told them I would leave a review saying why, but they were way meticulous in their efforts and then decided to boo all of my reviews and comments on my profile, and then all of the reviews and comments on my friends' profiles too.

So there you go, don't be in an online party and play a level you don't like and decide to boo it at the same time.

Oh and I know this has been mentioned but "i dnt hav moshen controllerrr!!!!!!!!!!!" which has easily covered 99% of the boos in Whack-a-Sack. Fun!

And emo levels. "im so sry bt if u dnt anser bk i will cry :'( i hope u r reading ths", just a pathetic string of magic mouths and horribly-dressed sackbots.

Oh, and music sequencers remaking popular music, but they get the timing and key completely wrong.

Oh, and pointless "we didn't know what to give you for acing this level, so here's a gold, bronze and silver trophy hope you like" prizes.

Oh, and the absolute cringe-worthy arrogance that comes with being able to rate your own level as "funny".

Maybe I'm just really easy to anger.

Good to know people are letting their personal taste influence the objectivity of their reviews.

So my friends and I make this series called The Dups (http://lbp.me/u/TheDups). We never use Sackbots. We use cutout characters, use the motion recorder for them to move and sticker panel for their facial expressions to change. It's like using puppets. We've gotten a bunch of dislikes because "u dont ues sakbots use sakbots next tiem!!!"

Really? You dislike it because they aren't sackbots? Do they say the same thing to puppet shows, that they suck because they don't use real people? I don't understand people anymore.

When someone dislikes all your levels just because of an appearance of ONE THING in your level that they don't like. One person dislikes TheDups entirely because one movie had a reference to Pokemon Black & White. Really? Really? REALLY??? You dislike all of our movies just because in one of them there was an Oshawott in the background?

One person dislikes TheDups entirely because one movie had a reference to Pokemon Black & White. Really? Really? REALLY??? You dislike all of our movies just because in one of them there was an Oshawott in the background?

I'll definitely check out those levels if they're done with cutouts, I absolutely loved doing cutouts back in lbp1.

Emos. You can't tell if they're boys or girls, you can't tell if they speak English, you can't tell if they can make a level without putting hearts, stars, dots, and X's all over the title, and you KNOW that they can't play a level without posting at least twelve pictures of a stupid closeup of their disgusting costumes. And then they always rate the worst levels up the fastest so it gets to the top of the cool pages. How does that happen? I have no idea. They just have no taste, and want to "fit in"...even though LBP is the LAST place emos should fit in.2011-12-28 10:31:00

In reinforcement of my remark about the idiot kids in the community, today one of them booed a few of my levels then sent me a join request. I joined him and found the kid already inside somebody's level, not actually playing it but repeatedly hurling himself off a ledge into the electric hazard below like a lemming caught in a time-loop.

I said to him..."so, you boo my levels and then ask me to join you...why?"

He takes a break from his perpetual suicide routine to reply "stupid person".

I said "Who? Me or you?". He replies "you".

I said "What have I ever done to you?"

"Bye bye" he said, then booted me.

I mean, what the hell is wrong with some of these people? I can only assume that he must have been repaetedly thrown off a ledge by his mother when he was a baby, and suffered one serious head injury too many.

Being accused of glitching 'Cool Levels' (and the manure, ample enough in magnitude to keep a farmer busy for seventeen years, that came along with it).
And yet you keep republishing it every day to ensure it stays on top?

OH my gosh, I know. I recently played with someone who was a fan of me and invited me because he had "no one to talk to", and I LITERALLY just said "poop" to NO ONE and he called my brother a noob, kicked me, and sent me a message saying "STFU". What? Seriously? I just laughed and gave him a stern talking. What a turd. I know what you mean.

He told me to tell my bro to stop being a noob. Out of NOWHERE. I was appalled and was about to say something a bit different, but stopped and just said "poop" after looooong consideration. I don't think that was even the reason anymore. I just said it . Then he got insulted somehow, said "***?" (I didn't type a bad word, I literally typed in three asterisks) and kicked me. What a jerk. I told him not to invite people if he was going to bash on them for no reason.2012-01-03 16:41:00

When you just can't figure out what the heck to make, and you fool around for hours brainstorming. Then you start on a little something only to get a better idea later. After that, you delete the level you had been working on and try to start on another one.
Rinse and repeat.
Then, after about seventeen cycles, you look at a level you REALLY want to try and model after, but fail miserably and cry in a corner. Then you quit altogether.
After THAT (usually while you're in bed), you conjure up an incredibly great idea and get excited to build it tomorrow. Then when you try to get started, you realize that the previous idea was an absolutely horrible idea and (repeat from the top).
I suffer horribly from creator's block.

Oh and here's one I despise. Once I save a level, I can't undo until the saving icon is gone. When I save and test something and it's done, I have to wait for that darn icon to go away just to undo. 2012-01-04 00:53:00

But why would you save and undo ? I mean, I only save when I'm sure everything's fine.
I hate when you don't really want to build a level, but you are curious about how it would be possible to build "that" logic thing for the gameplay. Then you try not to think about it, and you go to bed, and you can't sleep so you play on your PSP, you listen to music, and suddenly you grab sheets and draw logic until 2 AM while you obviously remember you have a science test tomorrow and you didn't study half what you thought you would (which was already half of the time you should). And then you can't stop thinking about it at school so you fail, then at home you come back to your notes, realize it's so rushed that you have to rewrite it carefully to make sure you didn't do mistakes and to clear the mess. Then you have to wait the next day to build the actual logic, and you realize that half the logic you made is wrong so you improve it, then you're done and... It's not half as funny as you tough it would be, so even if you are all excited about your logic achievement, people all boo the level and you roll in a corner and cry.

That's what happened with my GH level ^^
(Perhaps that's because it wasn't synced with the music ? Lol, how my skills improved since)

Ok, I am mad with myself. I've done something pretty effing stupid. As I may have told some of you, I'm studying in a different country than the one I live in, and I brought my PS3 with me but the internet in the student home isn't compatible. So even though I still spend quite some time creating and trying to get ideas for a new level in LBP2, I won't be online for quite a while.

So yesterday while I was creating I noticed an annoying bug. You know when you open your popit and your sackperson's head looks up as if he was watching the popit menu? When I went to the "costume" section to change my appearance, the sackboy'ss head always remained looking up making it darn difficult to see his face and hair properly. And it never stopped doing that: I restarted the game, restarted the console, imported my last profile backup. Nothing worked, the little sack kept doing it each time I opened the costume menu. So I erase the game data to reinstall it.

Result: now I can't play on my profile because the saved data is from an updated version of the game. I just can't play with it until I connect to the PSN and update LBP2 again. Just great. Well done Sev, you're a fricking genius.

Aye, I should have thought before acting. It seems that as I'm becoming an adult, I'm inheriting my father's way of problem-solving: now when something doesn't work, instead of trying to look for solutions, I go with trial and error and end up breaking stuff
Well, no sense in whining about it now. I was in doubt if I should take the PS3 with me for my holiday in February, now I just have to. It's just a shame now that I had decided to make a sci-fi level and just needed to come up with a context for my next level. I guess I'll have plenty of time to think about it now.

I guess I could create a different profile and while I wait for my holiday I could replay the story again, pick up some prize bubbles so that I'd be able to mess around in Create again.

It makes me mad when logic doesn't work the way it's supposed to. For example, in the level I'm currently making, I have 4 tags. Each tag has a different label, but is set out in exactly the same way. One day, all tags are working..... the next day, only 3/4 are working. I managed to fix it though, but it gave me a mini heart attack. It's also annoying that you can EDIT your saved objects. You can emit them, change them and save them again, but not edit them.2012-01-09 15:03:00

Well, you can just use this little big trick:

Instead of emmiting the saved object directly from your bag, first place it somewhere, then make the emmitter to emmit the placed object. This way, any change you make to the placed object will be automatically updated to the emmitter.

(Lol, a little late, but) YES. It's SO darn annoying! They take YOUR precious time to show you that a door opened two inches away. The typical cutscene lasts about ten seconds...and that's a short one. One you can see right in front of you! "Look at me! I used a layer changer, ain't that purrty?" NO. NO ONE...likes that. I only want to go ten seconds without stopping for a twelve second scene.

It's annoying enough when people assume we're blind and make a cutscene pointing towards a very obvious switch or entrance, but at least if they made it short... Usually the cutscene lasts for six or seven more tortuous seconds than it should. People either think we're retarded and need to stare for a long time at an object to aknowledge its existance or they forget to adjust the time on the sequencer2012-01-11 19:54:00

I know this trick, I used it in my BattleSnakes level..... which was very handy indeed. However, in the level I 'm currently emitting, the objects that I'm emitting are automatically deleted if a button isn't held, so thta method is no good.

Well, it must be. 4 tags set up in the same way, 3 work, one doesn't. It must have been a problem with the input of the tag not being recognised as being on. I've seen it before. If you have a pulse (ie resetting 1 count counter) attached to a tag, which relates to a tag sensor, which in turn is attached to another tag, sometimes it doesn't seem to like it. It tends to work if you put an extra pulse counter inbetween the sensor and the 2nd tag.

Except death, all things have solution in this life.

Wire a 0% battery (or a NOT gate without reverted output. both methods are valid) to the Activate input of the chip that contains all the logic of the object. Thus it's logics will remain frozen. This way, you can use the trick without worrying about destruction protocols.

Hmmmmm. That's a good suggestion. I'm guessing that when I capture the opbject for the emitters, If I don't put the capture box over the battery, it will work out fine.

I shouldn't need to make any more changes to the objects anyway...... well, hopefully.

-People who use sackbots as characters that are talking to us, and use the stock voices of characters from the game. It's horrible! If you have a mic, I'd rather hear you make an attempt to record something. If you don't... use subtitles only. Those voices provided are lame... and annoying!

Well, Would you rather listen to 10 year olds? ;P Plus, lots of people really can't (Don't want to) I use default voices only because I would suck really bad voice acting. Plus, you need a nice clear mic for best quality. (I know I'm replying to a pretty old comment lol)

So there's this LBP2 thread in the portuguese Eurogamer site which I've grown quite fond of. Most of my friends there just didn't have a clue about how to get the most out of the game, so since the launch of LBP2 I've been making myself useful by contributing to said thread as often as I can. I show my friends how to search for good levels more effectively, I frequently give them lists of LBP.me links to good levels that I've played so that they always have something int their queue to play, I share creating tips and video tutorials with them, etc. And eventually I got others to follow the example and share their experiences in LBP. My point is, we have a good thing going on there. Discouraging H4H, sharing the good stuff, helping each other, and so on.

So you can imagine my anger when some random git who never even showed up before says, in a very casual manner, that he made a crappy level just for the purpose of getting the 50 plays pin and wants us all to go play it. Prepare to be amazed by the subtlety and eloquence of the title: "1 second lvl P4P SEX".

This is one of those times when I meditate to get rid of the bad energies... and hope those bad energies travel and converge on the head of this guy to make it explode.

I've recently found that I'm rather stupid or the springy arm decoration doesn't work like it did in LBP1, which is mildly annoying.2012-01-12 19:16:00

"Random" movies that contain the following:

U STOLE MY COOKIES! IM GONNA KILL U!

warning: do not press!
(presses anyway)
(gets blown up)

Some argument about Justin Beiber or something.

(I accidentally posted this Things That Make You Happy. What would that make people think of me?)

Somebody has probably already said this, but I dislike it with such a burning passion that I must say/repeat it.
I absolutely loathe "Mortal Kombat" bot levels. They're EVERYWHERE.
Mortal Kombat: Fire Arena
Mortal Kombat: Steel Arena
Mortal Kombat: Water Arena
Mortal Kombat: Chocolate World
Mortal Kombat: Sponge World
Mortal Kombat: Just a Friggin' Block of Dark Matter
They're running out of ideas and originality (as if they had any to begin with). And now they're making "Real Steel" ones! Oh, so that's what you're calling it now? The only thing different is the name. The bots fight like they're constipated with a foot cramp too. But of course, the stupid people have to go and rate it up. Unfortunately, there are a lot, and the sensible ones don't get the truth through. Ugh.

There is just no level that can beat that old Street Fighter style one. I think it's called Ultimate Fighter or something like that, but it's the BEST fight level EVER.

It's Super LBP Fighter II Turbo. I actually got really bored and decided to make my own version called Super Mario Fighter. It's a blatant ripoff but whatever. 2012-01-20 17:50:00

Since live-captured emitters don't even work anymore, now my new WarioWare level is completely broken, and I have to wait until the next patch so I can work on it again. 2012-01-24 13:49:00

When levels have long, un-skippable cutscenes at the very beginning of the level, and every time you restart the level you have to watch it all over again. It's really annoying when I'm trying to ace something. 2012-01-25 15:07:00

I hate n00bs, and not just any n00b, but the big time, has no idea what the fu... he's doing kind of n00b.
I also hate arrogant players, how they think that their on the top of the world and how they think all of their friends should bow down to them.
I hate slappers, and especially team slappers, you know, the two players that slap you back and forth and you can here them laughing through their mics in the background.
I hate copiers, what?! You can't think of something original?! Do you have messed up morals or something?! You think that everything is yours and your at liberty to just take whatever you want?!
I hate rage-kickers, the ones that kick you for no reason other than the fact that you did something that would get no one else but them upset.
I hate create mode traps. You know, the glitched-front-layer box that someone traps you in so you can't even hover out of it. Then that ______________ of a player hides the entre object , so you can do nothing but sit there as the player goes off, and has a capturing-spree with all of your objects that you forgot to delete.

It's not bad levels that tick me off, I can avoid those, it's the n00bs that litter LBP that really tick me off.

Ok, so I read all 50 pages on this thread, and I'm RAGING OUT!!!!!!!! I feel like the Hulk.
Anyways, what I hate about LBP...ahh yes:
1. I hate all kinds of n00bs. They're just so annoying.
2. The friend that always rejects your join requests. Seriously, why have that friend if they'll always reject you?
3. The friend that ALWAYS wants to join you and bombards you with join requests.
4. I also hate when you feel like to have to yay a friend's level. Or else they'll interigate you on why you booed or didn't rate their level.

I'll add more as they start to annoy and bother me.

2. And 3 Sorta contradict each other, if you ask me...
2 says you hate people who don't join, and 3 you hate people who really want to join?

(I do understand where you're coming from though, but I have never experienced 3. /unpopularvale)
don't hate me D:

Ok I just have to add what makes me mad here.

I cannot stand rude comments or reviews on my profile or levels,I don't even like seeing them on anyone's profile,
if you don't like a level, then just leave..no need for trashing someone. Example, I made a giveaway level the other day where I give away items I personally make,
and that level made the cool page,I didn't try to make the cool pages,I just wanted to share a few items,so I get over 5000 plays on that level,a ton of hearts, and a bunch of nice comments, but a few really rude comments too, trashing my level and me personally for being on the cool page, hell I didn't put it there, that wasn't even my goal.
Anyway to thank everyone for over 5000 plays I gave away a special item in a new level..needless to say that ended up on the cool page too..I hate to see how many rude comments are there now.
