No kidding! What do the mods think of Cin's awesome pack of maximum optimal logic?

What, you mean the collection of logic that I had a large hand in producing? Yeah, it's alright.

Well, to me it really doesn't matter who produced it, because, (unfortunately) logic pack is outdated... Thermo, and sometimes latency wise.

Is that SO?! *hands on hips*... just kidding

Was CC the one who original conceived of, and made LBPC? Or is he just the current Admin/Owner?

Oh! Oh! Pick me! Rock taught me everything.

EDIT by cin: My responses to comph's meddling are in tan.

The user "lbp (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/member.php?1-lbp)" is the founder and admin. {"The user" is implied and not really necessary.}

When CC joined 1 to 200 members later, {What? "-" and "to" can mean the same thing, and I prefer "-" because it's more commonly associated with numbers and doesn't physically sound like "two" (or anything.)it was after he wrote an impressive lbp Kotaku article that gave LBPC a popularity boost,{In your correction, the previous comma should be removed and "that" should be added in its place.} he was granted moderatorship. CC became an admin in 3 weeks, after proving himself as a moderator. After three weeks, he was promoted to Admin due to his impressive work as a moderator. You clarified my ideas and sentence structure, but the original sentence was fine as far as I can see. Had sentence structure and reading pleasure been my goal, I could have worded it like this: When finished with publishing an impressive Kotaku article, ConfusedCartman became one of the first- or second-hundredth users to join the site. His feat brought a great popularity boost to the forum. As a result of his actions, he was promoted to Moderatorship, which led to his well-earned Administrator status in a mere 3 weeks.

Over time, lbp has gone inactive, and[comma]{The comma there is optional.}sadly, he hasn't logged in in months...

(Hey, rock, did I make any mistakes?)

Mistakes, huh? Well, a few.

[That's] Tough talk coming from someone who used the wrong word for "you're" in one (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=33030-I-reaaly-want-the-crown!&p=573535&viewfull=1#post573535) of his latest posts.

Aye, indeed I did. Oops. As per the "lbp" issue above, one should always avoid starting a sentence without capitals. As for the other syntactical bits, which you claim to be a matter of preference, I had to change the sentence structure, and split a huge sentence into two smaller, manageable ones. Thusly, the edits were necessary. And that comma is necessary, as well. You were using the word "sadly" as a parenthetical element, so it needed to be surrounded by commas.

Kthnx.

The comma before the 'and' is wrong, as is beginning a sentence with the word 'and'.

Punctuation always goes inside parentheses.

The parenthesis (the word "sadly") begins after the "and" and indeed be surrounded by commas. However, the word "and" itself should not be preceded by a comma as it is a conjunction. Alternatively, you could drop all commas from that sentence and use sadly as a normal adverb, which would probably improve the overall flow of the sentence.

You're posts is impressive Incinerator but, my grammar is much superior then you'res.

I don't know, so I was just wonder'n...

I know I'm not a mod but can I answer? Please, I'll give you a peanut D:

But I'll answer anyway.

Nope, he wasn't. lbp originally made the forum right after the press conference announcing LBP back in June 07. He was in charge until July 08, when CC, then a 15 year old boy, registered and wrote an article featured on kotaku about playing LBP at Comic Con. Eventually, he was promoted to mod and to admin (all in the span of three weeks) and by the time LBP came out in October, he pretty much ran the site, although lbp owned the site. However, when the site switched domains in January to go to 4.0, ownership switched to CC, so CC has full ownership now.

Still, even if CC didn't choose the name or technically found the site, he did pretty much make it into, well, anything. This place was a ghost town until he registered, and by the time I registered a month after him it was already fairly decent.

Over time I've noticed CC's path of moderation change and stuff, but yeah. CC made LBPC even if he didn't register the domain.

Though I admit it WAS rather lucky for him to stumble upon a site that he could take over yet was already paid for (I really don't think he would have made this site on his own :/). I mean, obviously he's very skilled at being able to run this thing, but the fact that he managed to get it was a stroke of luck.

... So, do I need to ask the mods a question, or should I just answer for them? Meh, question time.

Am I annoying any of you mods and you want me to shut up, so to speak- or do you want me to stay exactly as I am- FOREVER?

Yeah, sure, I have the only 100 beta codes in existence right here next to me. You want one for each region?

On a scale of 1 to 10 how cool am I?

(For Compher) /Runs

Well, looks like Dr Compher is on other house calls, so I might have to help you with this question...
So, assuming that your scale of 1 to 10 is representative of a rising scale of degrees within (or either side of) the normal human body core temperature, then 1 would be coolest and 10 would be approaching fever. In order to answer your question properly, Joruto, I will need to take an accurate core temperature. Bend over please... *brandishes 12" rectal thermometer*

What do you guys think of all the spamzzz that has risen up around various LBP2 threads, and does it a) get tedious to moderate it or b) give you some sense of satisfaction to chastise the miscreants?

a) Only tedious when you get repeat offenders.
b) Not really. Especially not when you see people getting mean for no apparent reason. I'm a mostly cheerful fellow, and while I believe in spirited argument, forums tend to allow the devolution of an otherwise normal conversation in a matter of a few posts. See also above. I don't think we ask for much: just read some rules, follow them and generally be a nice person. Then again, I'm the FNG, so what do I know?

How do you see deleted posts? Do you just see it in regular post form, maybe with something on it to let you know it was deleted?

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f277/schm01978/deletedpost.jpg

Also, how do you see edits?

http://thumb9.shutterstock.com/thumb_small/68500/68500,1252324365,1/stock-photo-black-ink-scribble-on-white-paper-abstract-pattern-36633601.jpg

<3<3

Edits look, I presume, the same as they always have, although we can compare edit versions by clicking on the little text that indicates it has been edited. I don't know if you lot can see that or not. Basically, it's about the same.

When you signed up for LBPC did you ever think you would actually become a Mod/Admin(Admin incase CC comes here )

Frankly, when I signed up, I was lucky to find my way around the site. I never thought I'd be a mod for quite some time, but I've always been mindful to be respectful and to avoid normal forum "etiquette" (read: the lack of etiquette).

Pft! Absolutely not. And I think most of LBPC would've agreed with me.

Yeah, no. Not in a zillion years.

Hey hey! Silly Mods. Deleting my post because of the word 'h4h' which is obviously my own descision and you shouldn't discriminate against my wanting to h4h, that would be mean. /muhahaha/

So, are there any mods who would like to mercilessly crush h4h?

Not mercilessly. It's mainly just kids looking for a bit of LBP love. It's anti-creativity though. So yeah, I'd like to see it go but I wouldn't crush it mercilessly. I am quite a compassionate individual (mostly).

I'd do away with the spam that goes with it, as that is just inconsiderate. I don't see the problem in two people casually engaging in some consensual H4H though, as long as they aren't shoving it in everyone's faces.

And, if you don't already know, ninjas slay h4h, and my sig says the rest.

H4H is against the site rules, also I expect it was deleted because it was incredibly spammy, not because it said 'h4h'.

Well, now I'm here I have to ask a question, don't I?

Have you ever been a Mod/Admin on any site other than LBPC?

Noooop. I'm not a mod for modding's sake... I was just a big fan of the site who helped out wherever I could.

No.

I've been asked elsewhere, but never actually said yes.

[comphermc] deleted what I said. (probably by accident, but still )

What, this?

Noooop.
At first I read that as "Noooob." and I was going to report you to Master Cartman.

Yep, that. I think I shall still report Comph to Master Cartman for deleting that.

What's the latest you've stayed up for whilst playing LBP?

Maybe 2am-ish? But for my age group that's practically equivalent to not going to bed at all

Yeah, I'd say 2ish but I know it's probably max 1:30. At a certain point my body revolts and starts shutting down all creative functions.

Gosh, we're old farts, schm0

5, in the afternoon, at the create jam. I rarely carry on playing LBP after around 3 though, I'm worse with other games.

Not sure what this thread is about as I camehere from a link, intresting to read from page 35 onwards though. BTW to question above It's 1:15am now and I don't have any intention of sleeping until the sun rises (Hey I got 3 moar weeks of lazing about so what the hell).

Yeah.. check the top of the page...

Oooh It's ask the moderators something or something. Let's see...hmm...think of a really stupid question...aha! Tea or coffee?

Coffee. But I'm not one of those snobby Starbucks goers. More of a gas-station $1 coffee or brew at home kinda guy. However, I'm sure some of the Brits here would like to convert this grubby American over to the other side, hm?

Hot chocolate, if it's available, please. I don't drink coffee or tea. Well, I drink herbal tea.

I am coffee snob - I keep a caffetiere at work and at home I have 3 different types of beans. I do like tea as well, but coffee is more my thing

Don't you guys think that sometimes people thank your post just because you're a mod?

For some of the mods, maybe, but in my case it'd be a definite "no". Or maybe what I have to say is just really boring?? jk

Actually, yes. I'd prefer they didn't as it skews my rep count, which is north of 4000 now. I don't need rep when I lock a thread, lol.

Yeah, senseless rep is not really needed. I like it the most when I get thanks for things I posted before I was a mod, such as the LBP2 links thread.

Yep - it's the equivalent of "being famous for the sake of it", except our mods have earned their popularity. People recognize their name, so for one reason or another they're more inclined to do nice things for them. If you look closely, you'll notice the same phenomenon in almost all walks of life. It's basic human nature to desire closeness with those you respect or otherwise view highly. We don't encourage it, but we don't waste time fighting human nature either - that's a rather pointless battle.

Just curious.

Starcraft 2, Great (PC) Game, or the Greatest (PC) Game?

It's above average. I'll be seen as a heathen by many simply by stating this, but I don't think it's a "great" game - I think it's a good game, definitely high quality, but I wouldn't put it up there with some of the best. Even though they're fairly different games and it's probably unfair to compare them too much, I think I'll prefer Civ V over Starcraft 2 as my strategy game of choice.

Ummm... I've never played it... sorry

E-gasp, you've never played it? I guess that's forgivable, it's rather newish. Eh, I dunno, I've just been going through a new game rush.

Is there any added bonuses to being a mod?

Sometimes I look at the level showcase forums and you guys usually get +3 pages of replies. Maybe more. Is that a popularity thing?

My Level Showcase threads didn't get that. But then I wasn't a mod at the time, either - just an obscure member who hung mainly in the social groups. But some people still played them and left me some feedback and I was very grateful

I haven't posted anything there since long before I was a mod. I assume you are talking about comphermc and mrsupercomputer mostly?? I don't think that has much to do with them being mods....

I'm sure some people see posts by the moderators and be more inclined to look at them. But... I contest that this is just a learned response, as they've seen a correlation between the quality of content posted and moderatorship.

Also, we have access to the catacombs of the site that you lot will never seeeeeeee!

Oh, like that secret stash of 100 LBP2 beta codes?

Can I come out of the catacombs now? There's no beta codes, just a pile of rocks with the word "beta" written on them. I couldn't even see that until my eyes adjusted to the light. And I'm hungry. It also kinda smells bad down here. Like rotten eggs and suntan lotion. Strange.

Do you think that the fact that I just saw Spaff private messaging is proof that he pmed CC about potential beta codes for him to giveaway a'la the other betas and thus the beta will start soon, or am I merely overthinking things? Even though he doesn't reply to anything so not too sure what else his message would be... D: Unless... I unno. Am I crazy?

I think it's proof that you're a creepy, freaky stalker... As if any further proof was needed

Sure you don't need anymore proof? :/

I think Spaff could have any number of reasons to send a PM on LBPCentral. I also think that even if we somehow knew a beta was coming soon, we wouldn't just up and disclose that information it in an edited reply - that'd just show a plain lack of trustworthiness on our part!

In other words, all will be revealed precisely when it is intended to be.

I have definite proof that this is so

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=34077-Where-ma-trophy

I mean, seriously. There are 6 posts, and everyone spams thanks the two posted by the mods, even the one just saying how funny the whole thing was? And only the mods spam thanks the actual posts?

I did start the whole thing though, in fairness. A far better example would be the creator spotlight threads, where the creator spotlight team, who work their ***** off for countless hours get significantly less thanks than the mod who copies and pastes their work into the public forums

... Yeah. Just had to point that out. So yeah, that's definitively true.

Do you ever venture into the world of racing games, mods?

I played quite a bit of Gran Turismo 3. Never got into 4, really. Loved some of the Need for Speed and Burnout games. So, yeah, I guess you could say I did venture into that world.

Yeah, I've done a bit of Gran Turismo as well and others like Midnight Club (that's going back!). MotorStorm, Crash Tag team Racing (lol!). We actually bought an old refurbed x-box after upgrading to a 360, because we wanted to play Midtown Madness. We still play it. Great fun Not hard core racing, but there you go.

Not so much any more. I used to play Pole Position (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pole_Position_%28video_game%29) quite a bit back in the 1980s, but racing games haven't changed much since then.

Babydoll forgot to use the colour xD

Yeah, but mostly the Need for Speed or Midnight Club series. I tried playing GT5 Prologue, and while visually impressive, was too realistic for what I like in a racing game.

Awesome, of course. DUH!
Oh, and are any of you good at drawing? (by hand or tablet)

Yes, I draw. By hand.

Definitely not!

I can draw a fairly convincing stick figure, but that's about the limit of my 'talent'.

I cannot draw anything nice from memory - it always comes out looking like scribble. I'm fairly good at drawing anything that I can see, though - anything that I can use as a constant point of reference. Here's something I drew; I did not trace, though I did have a photo to use as a reference point as I went along:

http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/4706/drawingo.png

I took Drawing 1 as a class my Junior year in high school and it turned out I was pretty good at it. I don't enjoy it, though - I find it rather tedious and unrewarding, personally. But that's just me.

Nice one, CC! I'm the opposite - I can sit and draw for hours and love it. But of course I don't get to do that Ever

Do stick figures count? I used to doodle alot and make little moonbases and spaceships when I was a kid, but other than that, no.

Do you all play the ratchet and clank games? if so, whats your opinion on ALL4 One?

Never played them. Besides LBP, the only games I play are the GTA series, and, more recently, RDR (which is pretty much just GTA with horses).

I haven't played them yet... sorry. I do plan to one day when I've got some free time.

They need to re-release all of the Ratchet & Clank series like they're doing with GoW/Sly Cooper, etc. It looks fun but I have absolutely no clue who the characters are.

I have definite proof that this is so

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=34077-Where-ma-trophy

I mean, seriously. There are 6 posts, and everyone spams thanks the two posted by the mods, even the one just saying how funny the whole thing was? And only the mods spam thanks the actual posts?

... Yeah. Just had to point that out. So yeah, that's definitively true.

Sorry, this has to be said about that thread. *FACEDESK*

No offence to anyone, but that is.. erh, you don't want my opinion.

What? do I really really need to ask a question? Srsly? You know *this* is a question, right?....

Right, what is the best keyboard you've ever used?

Erm. Pass.

The new Mac keyboards. Noice!

Similar note: What is the best mouse you've ever used?

The one I use at the moment is pretty good. Logitech MX Laser something or other. It's worked great for so long that the words on the label on the bottom have all rubbed off.

The worst mouse I ever used was a similar, Microsoft-branded one, bit it had such poor wireless connectivity, it went straight back to the shop on the day I bought it.

Say! My favorite mouse is the MX rev too. unfortunately they don,t make them anymore, mine still works, but it has a charging issue..

Well my fave USED to be a Logitech (no idea of the type) but it's not playing up. I don't like Bluetooth, though. it never fails to have delays.

Logitech for both. It's a good product and relatively inexpensive.

If all of you had to weed out/ delete/ get rid of any non-LBP1 feature that's on LBP2, which one would you get rid of?
Oh also, can't repeat the answe. (If one says sackbots, the others can't.)

This should be interesting...

That's difficult to say until I've actually played it. How about if I choose: all the new bugs that will be in LBP2?
^Well that's not really a "feature"

And I mean from the stuff you already know, I know for a fact that at least the other 2 mods went to the jam, so maye they can say more?
You don't have to dislike it, heck you can like all, you still need to weed out one. >=]
Think of it as trashing your least item in the most liked collection.

EDIT AGAIN: Too late, Agent Banana got the cookie.

S'okay, I've got cake.. don't need a cookie... my fave music of all would likely have to be a tie between symphonic orchestral and opera. Truly.

What is your favorite type of OR gate? (I couldn't think of anything better )

Umm. There is only one type surely? Or did you mean variants (like NOR/XOR) or implementations (like piston, winch or wobble-based)?

Either, OR your favorite double-hinged gate!

The one in LBP2.

Er, I like WI gates.. as in wrought iron. That's not what you meant??

What would you do for a Klondike bar?

Walk down a flight of stairs, open my freezer, and retrieve one.

Oh, did you mean what would be the most I would do for a Klondike bar? Well...about that much, actually. I'm not a huge fan of Klondike bars.

We don't have Klondike bars in Aus.. so they can't be all that good then, can they? Or someone would've imported them by now

BabyDoll, I must say they are quite fantastic. And should you ever be in the mood and the U.S. at the same time, I highly recommend one.

What would be your first level in LBP2 be about? What scenery and which gadgets are you gonna create?

No clue. It will mostly depend on what the materials, objects, costumes, sounds and music look like once combined in my popit with all the LBP1 stuff. I will most likely try to finish up my Temple series first, with perhaps a side project or two. Implementing quick mini-games is likely to be a fun diversion, so I'm sure I'll have a hand at that.

Wow... no idea whatsoever. Exciting thought, though

I didnt mean it like that!?!?! D:

I ment how awesome am I?

There is no accurate measurement for awesomeness... neither is there any charge (movie quote there, sorta)

Do you think that I am a stalker? I like to look at what other people are looking at here on LBPC... I also once found a link to someone's facebook here on LBPC, I might have read every post way back to last year or so...
I think that already answered the question... it's not like I would find out where you live and hide in the trees :kz:

Umm ookay another question... why is it such a big deal if dark matter is visible? Can't it be cleverly visible so that it doesn't look too suspicious?
I am actually planning to make a level mostly out of dark matter and make it look really cool. Welcome to the dark matter planet

I feel like I should add one more question here, and not answer it myself or tell some long story that no one wants to read...
Do you think it would be possible to organize a LBPC meeting with 100+ members or so. If I win the lottery I might help with the payments

If you win the lottery, good luck getting your parents to let you spend the money on that! I foresee education funds, etc...
I turn 18 next year, then I am free and can do whatever I want
But as for a get together, yeah, I'd be for it but i doubt it'll ever happen. People like their online anonymity too much.
I think online anonymity doesn't matter if they get a chance to meet me

I wonder...

So you're asking "what would be a good question to ask?". I'd suggest the question: "what would be a good question to ask?", to which my answer would be "what would be a good question to ask?". Recursion FTW!

If any background could be put into LBP1, what would you want?

Um... just a standard wooded background. Would be nice.

A fairground could be pretty handy. Or a starry night sky - like outer space. Yeah.. space...

A medieval or fantasy setting... sorta like a large, varied landscape that stretches endlessly into the horizon.

Yay! CC!

Oh yeah, and a question.

What is it like being CC?

That is an incredibly hard question to answer. There are lots of different parts of my life that go into making me "me", LBPC being one of the biggest ones, so it's not easy for me to sum myself up in a few words. I guess the best way to describe it is "stressful", really. There's lots of things on my mind at any one time - if I'm not actively working, I'm usually passively thinking about the things I need to deal with later. I thrive on stress, though, so I'm not complaining - I quite enjoy how hectic my life has become because, although it's hard, it's quite rewarding. If it were the other way around, if it were easy, at the end of the day I just wouldn't be happy.

What would your first reaction be if an Evil Chicken were to attack you by squawking so loud that it was producing shockwaves to harm you?

What the...? Completely unlikely, but... okay...
I actually have chickens and they can be pretty evil. I'd clap my hands above its head so it was startled and as a result, would crouch into its 'submissive' position (squatted low with wings out from the body) and then I'd pick it up and lock it up in the coop or chuck it over the fence to fend for itself.

I have two questions!

1. How did you find LBPC?

From a level by Aer0blue.

jackofcourse told me I might prefer it to LBW. He was not wrong.

bonner123 told me I should come here, so i did and a year later I'm still here
Looking around at the various other forums (I was not impressed), then some of the tutorials eventually got me to TheAdipose's video tutorials on YouTube, which led me here (and I was impressed.)

2. CAN I HAZ BETA!!1!!!!11! PLZ

No.

Pertaining to MRSC, is this temp or is there a chance he'll be re promoted? I know he was going to have a kid soon so I guess he'd be busy there... but is it temp or perm, g?

That is entirely up to Brent-y-poo.

So you're saying that, if he wants to, you guys are forced to accept him back? Even if he spams H4H all over the News and Media forums,if he wants to become a mod again then the decision to do so would be entirely in his hands? So if he just went and told CC, "Hey, I wanna be a mod again" CC would have no say in the matter?

Would this apply to other ex mods as well? Could, say, Whaaaaale go "O HAI MAKE ME MOD AGAIN", and CC could say nothing about it? what if bbroman came back for some bizarre reason, and ordered CC to become a mod again despite having vanished for almost two years? Is there some sort of code among mods that, as soon as you become a mod, you have the legal right to become a mod at any time of your choosing in the future?

Or did you just not place "and also up to CC deciding it would be in our best interests" as well since it would be implied CC would have some free will in the matter? I unno, things like that fly over me and my big head :/

I'll remember to do that if we meet One of mine was when my friend got his wisdom teeth removed and they shot him up with 5 shots of that numbing stuff. He couldn't talk correctly it was bloody hilarious. He was trying to say Take me home now, And he sounded like Heay! tlakke meaz homlmesz nouwz! XD

Do you believe the PSP community is its own separate community, a'la a can of spam that once flourished before each and every one of you and was closed for partially because it created a separate community? Or rather, does it seem odd to you that they're there, and we're here, and they don't look out too much? I mean I understand not going into the PS3 sections, but not the general sections, and people posting topics in the PSP sections as redirects to the general sections. I unno. Always seemed weird to have a secondary community, albeit that's mostly cause I remember the Wars of the Spam Can of eons past.

I don't think it's quite the same as in eons past as LBP PSP is a legitimate game. And no, I don't think it's weird at all. I think it makes sense.

What do you dislike the most:
A) Doopz
B) Pizza
C) Marvin the Paranoid Android
D) Questions with no good answer

Yes, there is a right answer! This poll is NOT subjective. Failure to comply will result with a brick, deposited on Doopz's head.

What if I don't dislike any of them?

Then that must mean, relatively, that you hate the Universe.

I see truth in this. In the PSP sections, B3 and Taffey and jeffcu and whoever else I'm forgetting are crazy-active, but you'll rarely see them make a comment or thank a post in general stuff or anything.

I hope they see this and learn we want them to spread their activity around

Honestly, I don't see what difference it makes. If they have their own subsection, that's fine - their game is a different entity. Maybe you just miss your friends...? There are those that are crazy active in the forums but never venture outside to the social groups, then those who are active in the social groups who never visit the forums. LBPC is a big world with room for everybody Except rude people, that is (I'm not meaning you by that comment, either)

Remember one of the first questions I asked you was something like "Why do you spend so much more time in groups"?

Yes, I remember. I still hang out in the social groups.. when I get the time. I highly recommend it

Yeah, I've been like that since I bought a PSPgo thinking that LBP PSP would be an on-the go LBP.

In reality, the Create mode is an entire failure, yes, it really is. And since I lost my PSPgo, I really don't care about LBP PSP at all anymore.

Maybe when the PSP2 comes out.

I own the PSP version. As I've said before, I probably play it more than the PS3 version. I've been playing the PSP vsion since before it officially came out lol
And I would have stayed active in the PSP section if there were more...familiar faces there. I mean I like how Coxy and Poo and Cybersora and Taffey are active there, cos they're all PS3 & PSP guys like me, but they've stopped being active anywhere else. And all the regulars in the PSP section separate themselves from the rest of the community.

We should try and do something that brings everyone together into a big happy family.

Well think away, my friend.

Ah... yup.

TBH, no. Because I doubt the forums will need that much moderation. Certainly less than now, when wild speculation / crazy anticipation are the rule. Hopefully, rather than a billion ZOMG can I haz beta posts, we will see the newly released LBP2 help forums etc go crazy. Which will be actually productive and useful, for a change.

Oh, so those people won't play LBP2 themselves?

This is a character testing question:

When you hear the acronym "PETA" what words immediately come to mind?

(the words the acronym stands for, that is.) (Yes, there is more than one option.)

People who Eat The Animals.

Life. Mainly other peoples'.
^^ This. Also, stuff.

What, do you just leave yourself logged in to LBPC sometimes then?

Yep.
Yeah, I'm logged in most of the day at work, even though I only check in occasionally.

Ok, two questions.

1. Who is favourite creator in LBP? And no, you can't say yourself.
Easter Egg

I really can't narrow it down to one. SORRY!! I have favourites for various styles of level, but again, I'm not going to list them and make everyone else feel bad. I've been a mother too long to make that mistake.

I don't have one either.

2. When using your phone do you spell out every word, use text talk, or do you not send messages and actually speak?

I never text. I only ever speak (because my phone is a piece of poop and the text function doesn't work). But if I did text I'd spell everything out I think. I'd just be more concise in that case.

I only use abbreviations when I'm too lazy to type it out, and never when using a proper keyboard outside of IM.

Do easter eggs usually include prizes You can have 50XP.

Kinder Surprise eggs have prizes inside - all year round! They used to be good but now they're lame.

Will the forum change when littlebigplanet 2 comes out? Will there be seperate sections for lbp1, lbp2 and psp or will they become one?

'Tis a mystery that time will unravel...

I am sure that the LBP1 forums will stay open for some time, for posterity's sake. Not everyone has $60 to throw down on Nov. 16th, after all, so I would imagine that people will still be playing LBP1 for a bit. I'm sure they'll be archived eventually and make room for LBP2. I'm not sure a simple name switch would be a viable idea, since all of the content being discussed is currently from LBP1. I'm sure CC has a plan, regardless.

Sometimes it's an obligatory effort. Don't want the peeps to think we don't care, right? Because we do care. Some of those guys on the staff.. they cry over you lot in their love and concern. I'm just about out of tissues and consoling words...
But my guilty pleasure is... interior design magazines... *drools*

I know what mine is. Ice cream! ^^

It's a bit fun, but sometimes the questions can be quite silly. And there's a lot of repeats.

I'd spend the time with my daughter and whatever she wanted to do.

i was wondering if you ever looked into thermo efficent logic for a logic pack? if you didnt i can show you some on how to make things more thermoefficent

Pass. Guys..?

I haven't run into too many thermo issues, but then again my levels are pretty straightforward.

How's this (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/entry.php?881-Waste-Not-Want-Not-Part-3) for ya? Themoficciency is kinda my thing y'know But all that's going out of the window in a couple of months, so I'm not really interested in LBP1 logic unless it's actually innovative nowadays....

Spafftacular
If you'd given me the option of several words I'd have said "it's a complete load of Spaff", but you didn't.

So you don't find it creepy? I do, and I made it!
Unless you consider Spaff creepy in general.

It's Spafftastic? A bit creepy, but not "old man in a van with no windows" creepy.

Hm, hey, general site related question (I know, unheard of in this thread D

Should there be more people allowed to do the special notification thingies? CC currently is the only one that does that, yet I know various times where he gave that power to other people (Most notably to Sackcast way back when).

So, shouldn't the mods be allowed to make site wide notifications as well? That way, they could do that for Community/Creator spotlights (since CC never posts them anymore, so we wouldn't have to wait a day until he gets on), and also for general rules (like about the LBP2 Beta NDA warning) so you don't have to bother CC or wait for him?

I unno, seems like it'd make sense since you mods are already trusted enough, so I think you should get CC to give you the ability for side wide notifications :/

yes please

How good (or bad) are (or were) your grades at school?

I averaged a 3.2 GPA in High School, and graduated with honors.
Good for you, scm0 I was pretty good at school and was a recipient of various awards (music, literature, french) and scholarships at University (for my singing, not my marks).

Is that good or bad? The grade system in Brazil is different from other countries...

A levels: 3 A's and a B (further maths / differential equations was my downfall there) Got a 1st in my Masters Degree though, so it's all good

Also, why is RTM always in invisible mode? (because he's a purple ninja?)

Has anyone of you tried castle crashers yet?

One of my girls has and loves it. We keep meaning to buy and download it but our xbox 360 is pretty cobwebbed at the moment.

Its on PSN too you know. (I have the PS3 one)

Really?! Thanks! never bothered to look for it on the psn

Your welcome lol? It came out on PSN two weeks ago.

If you end up getting it, if you have room, you can add me If you'd like to castle crash online.

Down here because I didn't want to interrupt.... I don't really know what it is, sooo no. There are a lot of games I haven't played over the last 2 years though, silly littlebigplanet stealing all my free time....

Ohey. It's essentially an 1-4 player adventure game. That is semi-2d, and involves hitting baddies with lots of combo's. Oh, and I should mention.. The music. Is. Win.

The trial version is free on PSN, if you want a look at it, that will do you more good than my feeble explanation.

... just kinda funny. Maybe even inevitable... there's a heck of a lot going on at the moment, as I'm sure you can appreciate.

... Another mini suggestion thing. When LBP2 comes out, will you have some better organized system of getting help, i.e. for voice actors or music makers? Like, I unno. How could that work? I'm confuzzled

I don't think we're 100% sure on that ourselves at this stage. We have to have a good look at the beast in order to formulate the best way to manage it.

Mac or PC?

Mac
PC.

Linux, OSX, or windows?

OSX
No preference. I'm just more familiar with Windows, so I guess that.

Apple product or knockoff?

Apple... come on!
Superior alternative to Apple product and apple product knock-off?

Ooh.... To iPad or not to iPad?

Hmmm.. to - if you've got the $$.
Don't need/want/see needing/see wanting one, so "not to iPad."

Wii, Xbox, or PS3? (this one has a wrong answer. :eek

NOT Wii
PS3. They put the analog sticks in the right place.

Preferred mobile gaming device? (if any.)

A book of logic problems (not LBP logic) and a pencil.
I prefer a good crossword puzzle. But not the large font three and four letter word Grandma puzzles.

Yes, and if it serves as a warning to others, then that's a plus in my opinion

Prox switch.

What is your most commonly used piece of logic?

Mag switches
Haven't really paid enough attention to tell you the truth. I just make things as I need them.

Considering the current state of the forums and how it will most likely increase, do you think that LBPC needs more then 5 mods? Cause it seems to be getting out of control and you need more peepz to maintain order and all that stuff, at least from where I'm standing. Or do you want to be overworked from a volunteer job?

For the most part, I don't think 5 is too few. The problem is that we've been to soft on the people causing trouble. However, we can just start continue silencing and banning people to ensure law and order, which will make more difference than more mods, but no more enforcement. More mods won't change anything if we carry on being too soft on troublemakers

rtm is correct *brandishes banarang*

Not directly, no.

Nobody tells me anything, either. *pouts* I say go with whatever conspiracy theory you have and run with it. It's probably ten times as interesting as the truth.

AAAAARD's title made me look at his VM's and so... What's the LBP3 thread?

The LBP3 thread will never be forgotten. It is part of LBPC history. In 200 years LBPC's grandchildren will sit down with their parents and told the legend of LBP3.

Basically someone made a thread saying they were making LBP3 and making it out to seem all official which caused huge amounts of spam and an end result of huge amounts of bans. I'm lucky I managed to control myself to keep out of that thread...

In fairness, there were only 2 temp-bans off the back of that... The other 5 simply got silenced for a week. The ones who did get banned were banned because they had outstanding infractions for spam already and the extra points from yesterday's debacle pushed them into Banland.

Side note: to those of you who worship this deservedly deleted thread as some sort of LBPC demi-god, it was by far the worst example of behavior I've ever seen on this site. I didn't find any of it in the very least funny, "epic", or positive in any way, shape or form. To hear it spoken of with nostalgia... *sigh*

You can see posts and their edits, no?

If we can see edits, then I don't know how to do it. I can see peoples' deleted posts (when I need too).

As moderators we can see a complete edit history and "soft"-deleted posts.

Is there any post that had something horrendous in it, and it was edited? (No specific mention of who it was, of course.)

Not that I can recall. Well, not that wasn't made public before we took it down, anyway.

I've edited a few posts, mostly to remove quoted posts that were subsequently deleted to get the thread back on track and prevent confusion after the fact, or to deal with other such sensitive topics. Nothing specific need be mentioned, as it rarely happens as is.

Do I edit my posts like mad?

I'm suspecting... yes? Most people do. And those that don't tend to end up on our regular hit list.

I wouldn't know, I only look at edit history when necessary. I know I do on a regular basis.

If you would somehow happen to find yorself in an empty room with just white walls and no escape and the only thing you could see in there would be a red button with the sign under it where there would be a text "do not press"
How long would it take for you to press that button?

I know, kinda useless question without any explanation of what would happen but I was bored

Sheesh.... what are we, napero? Your entertainment? *sigh* Okay, I'd do a MacGyver and PULL the button completely off, after which I'd smash it until I'd fashioned either a skeleton key or a small scoop with which I would make my escape.

But then in another post schm0 said he didn't get a beta key. I thought that mods without beta would be first in line for beta keys given by LBPC, so is there a reason filled with scorn and backstabbing or did he not think he could devote enough time or am I being too annoying? :kz:

I thought that mods without beta would be first in line for beta keys given by LBPC, so is there a reason filled with scorn and backstabbing or did he not think he could devote enough time or am I being too annoying? :kz:

Schm0's not in the beta? Then how come he was on the LBPC beta forums? Wouldn't that have been breaking the NDA while it was still around?

schm0 is in the beta

Before I actually had said beta, I only posted a total of two posts (I think) in there, mostly related to how I was spying from afar and tapping my fingers together with Mr. Burns-like jealousy. Basically, if you really must know, my access to the beta came after the rest of the mods. I suppose it was technically violating the agreement, but I essentially agreed to the NDA by being a moderator in the first place. Kinda goes with the job.

Hmm... question...

What's your favourite shape?

I like circles because it's round and I like things that are round. All good things are round (cupcakes, big cakes, cookies, coins, DVDs, CDs, old vinyl LPs, game discs, the circle of life...). I suppose everyone will copy me now...

This is a family friendly site, Doopz. But if I had to choose, I'd say dodecahedron. Just say it. Dodecahedron.
I like that word... sounds like something Doctor who would say.
Mine's a circle because it's round, I like round.

Copycat...

How do you feel about Meet the Community Spotlight Crew (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=38232-Meet-The-Community-Spotlight-Crew%21) stealing the attention? Please be thorough about your inevitable feelings of hatred, i.e. torture devices you've debated placing them in, what time of night would be the best time to strangle them, whether you prefer to stab or shoot them, etc.

Technically I qualify for both threads so I win. Not sure what, but I win and that is good enough for me

Lol! I think it's nice, actually Share the love <3

Methinks I might have to peek in there sooner or later. I think it's great!

Moderately.

I choose the latter option.

That is not an option :kz:

I was looking around and happened to look at your moderator button images and then happened to find out that there are actually 14 of these...
The url for the button of Schm0 and BabyDoll didn't have a number but instead _sun and _globe
Which leads to my question, did you get to choose from one of these, or did CC just give you one, or were you able to choose your own image which was then made into a mod button?

Yeah, but if you look up one of his posts you can still see that admin button there.

How much fun are those bugs in the beta right now? (Ive heard there are alot)

Not a fan of bugs of ANY kind so, not fun.

Right now I can't access any of the GOTY DLC. It's rather annoying.

Jeffcu seems to be a mod now... so one question to him when he chooses a color.
EDIT: This question also goes for Sehven and maybe someone else who I haven't noticed yet

How do you feel now?

Whoa-oa-oa! I feel good, I knew that I would, now
I feel good, I knew that I would, now
So good, so good, I got you...SPAMMERS!

I feel like banning somebody. Give me a reason.... please! Just kidding. I dunno' I feel ok, I guess. Am I supposed to feel different?
Well, no.. not until the fangs start coming down, anyway. That was a bit painful

Don't forget Sehven! Sehven is sad now.

Sehven, on a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being you want to commit suicide and 1 being you're as happy as a very happy man, how sad are you that napero forgot you?

Who's napero?

That's not a number.

Looking at your avatar, how can I not? But as long as I'm a mod, the only spam allowed is the one you can fry with potatoes.

... What are the chances I can get a forum/ official/ quasi official status as I did with LBPC: TG with my new project that has nothing to do with LBPC? I'm only asking because I know Kindred has its own forum, so uh yeah... It'd be kinda Zelda like... and TBQH I still need to get it to a state of being able to work, but yeah... <_>

... So yeah, any idea if it's possible, or was Kindred special or something? ... Eh, maybe I'll just pm CC, but post this here anyway. Just cause. :/

Another project already Rock? How 'bout you take a chill pill, give us a chance to be rockstars, and then you can be awesome again. Sound good?

Hehe. In all seriousness, all we asked CC was permission to use the LBPC logo for our teaser art, and he gave us an entire private forum. Isn't he awesome?

And to the new mods: You do realize you just agreed to do hours of work for free? I mean, you could have volunteered at some charity, but nooooooooo, you volunteer at an internet forum

I do full time volunteer at a "charity," and I also volunteer on the forums too! Hehe. Imagine that...

Really, I see service as giving back to the community that gave me so much.

Oooh, one more thing! How do you know when someone reports a post? When I was a mod at some other place that shall remain nameless it was via email... aya said that you can turn email notifications on/off in your mod settings... And once a post I reported was repped by Quozl (so WAY WAY back) (or at least I think it was Quozl) and the title of the post was Reported Post By... and it wa cutoff there, so I assume it was reported by me...

...

So basically, am I correct in my assumption that reported posts go into a special reported posts forum with posts made by the person who reported with the message we did in our reporting?

If I tell ya, I'd have to kill ya.
Well if it ever gets to that stage, give me a call. I'm excellent at removing blood from carpet and upholstery.

After reading the first six or so pages of this thread i am getting a bit bored, so, time for a question.
( there are a couple of levels to the question ) why are there things missing on the site? like the xp donation history and the details about how you can earn points? or am i just not going to the right place? ( if i am, give me a link. )

awww! noone answered my question... <:-(

Well, you can see your XP donation history under LBPC XP in your profile, but it's mixed with other XP you've collected within a given time frame. I'm not sure if there's a history solely for donation.

We don't give details on how you can earn points because we don't want users to abuse the system. Generally, you get points for being a helpful member to the community by creating threads, posting, being thanked, and thanking others. Just act like you would normally, and you will get rewarded with points you deserve.

well, it would be nice if when i click, Use the Earn Points (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/xperience.php?go=earn) feature to learn how you can collect points, that i dont see a bulletin message that says, "vbulliten message: this feature is currently disabled, you should add something like you just said. post, pm, blog, and be a good member of the community, instead of giving us a link like that that goes nowhere, because that is kind of frustrating. broken links don't get websites more visitors. :hrmf: ( toro!) and there should be a donation history spot, because, i have had two donations, and the points i recieved from both, DISSAPEARED after about... maybe an hour. are they supposed to do that?

That one will have to be answered by the Great and Powerful Oz (aka CC)

Well, i got one harmless question-
Which mod creates the best mechs?

There's a mod who creates mechs?
xD, im just gonna go with comph....

Trying to work out if you're joking or not.... I tihnk we all know which mod makes the best mechs here, and it's certainly not one of the ones who's never made a mech ever

I assume then that you must mean me... I've certainly never made a mech. Thanks for the compliment

Who plays Minecraft?

And/or, what do you think of it?

Oh? You don't know what minecraft is?

Ok. Official Site (http://www.minecraft.net/), Minecraft Wiki (http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Main_Page), and Good intro video(s) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bh4EexJO4I).

Hmmm.. sounds interesting. The first thing that came to mind when you mentioned 'minecraft' was Friday playgroup where my 3 year old and the other little kiddies all decide that in that big room full of toys, they all want to play with the same one, at the same time. It's like UFC for toddlers.

Every time I hear Minecraft I pimp Dwarf Fortress (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCIQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bay12games.com%2Fdwarves%2F&rct=j&q=dwarf%20fortress&ei=Q1LTTJWqBM6hngev1aUh&usg=AFQjCNESyEQ56VgIQnbktTRoAin2qsH4iw&sig2=mzmoCEOpug41lqSxVo7gYQ&cad=rja), and I think Minecraft is a great game in its own... just not for me.

Ooh! Who's watched/read/played Scott Pilgrim and liked the movie/graphic novel/video game?

Loved the demo on PSN, and loved the music even more. Anamanaguchi is the bomb. I'm not too big into graphic novels, but I love the art style. Didn't see the movie, and I'll probably just wait until it comes out on HBO/DVD/Netflix.

The movie's really good with it's special effects. And the game might not make sence when you get into a cutscene (Like once you beat the boss in world 2 he just skates down a rail and explodes.)

So... yeah. Mods. I'm probably WAY too involved in this, but what's the deal with MNRC? I mean, it's just... there. Is CC spending any money keeping that site running? I assume so, in which case I don't see why he still insists on keeping that up, despite not having signed in in so long and no mods keeping track of it and only like 3 people there. I know I am being a pain, but yeah, can't some of you mods talk to him about it and see if he's paying extra to keep it afloat (which I assume he is), in which case WHY is he wasting money on that? I'm just... yeah. I unno. I've been campaigning to take it down for over a year... I have no life, I know <_<

The running of MNRC isn't costing any additional money, so don't worry.

Can i have my own personal moderator, and only my personal moderator can hand out punishments to me? CAN I HAVE COMPHER?

Roughly translated: "Oh, compher, punish me! I've been a bad boy! I've been really bad!" - which is both disturbing and highly inappropriate. You weirdo...

Well given that it is your interpretation, i think you want that to be the case. You wierdo...

You can certainly have your own personal moderator. In fact we're so generous that we'll just go ahead and give you six personal moderators to watch everything you say and go through your posts with a fine toothed comb.

Recently, my internet went out, and i had to wait a week, and, the internet at my school is 75% blocked, so most pages ( including this site ) don't show up. so i got to wondering... How long could you stay sane... WITHOUT YOUR INTERNET, ( no internet within a reasonable range of your house, whatsoever )? because, even after four days,.... i was begging to get really... crazy... cause i got EXTREMELY BORED! so, how long, exactly, could you stay sane, without internet? ( don't try... please. just take a guess.... )

I can comfortably last a couple of weeks without internet, so tbh I'm gonna go with indefinitely. I wouldn't like it, but I don't think it would be a major problem to me

I can handle the lack of internet pretty well: I can make it a full 6 hours at a time without internet before I start shaking.

I don't know if it has been asked in the past, but I'll ask anyway

If you had 10 000$ to spend in 24 hours, how would you spend it? And why?

How: Easily.
Why: Because 10K isn't that much to splurge.

Obviously significantly more than I generally / ever actually have to splurge, but still....

That $10k would go straight into my mortgage repayments without a second thought. Debt... it's a killer, man...

Why are Jeffcu and Sehven still waiting for their moderator buttons? You know that thingy under the username...

We were about to get them and then I pushed a button that almost nuked the whole site so now CC and the other mods are questioning whether they really want me around.
..... they probably would have been more forgiving if I hadn't pushed it again just when they almost had everything fixed.

Favourite alcoholic drink?
The question implies I have to pick one... I don't understand
Well you don't have to...

Well I don't drink at all, so i'll pass on that one. Although cough medicine when I need it is pretty therapeutic

I've always thought that alcohol was there to make you too stupid to realize you're not actually having a good time. I don't want to be any stupider than I already am so I stick to Dr. Pepper.

Where is DrunkMiffy when you need him xD

Also, what are the rules with regards to drunken posts? Because it's not easy to post sensible things when you are drunk...

Pretty much the same as normal, I just get to chuckle at your horrendous typing in the morning

-_-

I'd say, as a mother, don't get drunk. Especially if you value your brain cells.

If you're worried about rules and drunken posts maybe you should keep your drink fridge further away from your computer

I has 2 questions. 1. Do you guys think that you may need to be adding some more moderators, say, within the next... two months?

Who knows? We seem to be coping fine as the moment, though.

I already feel redundant a lot of the time.

2. Overall, what do you think of me? ( am i a good person, a good member of the forums, a spammy villan, a stupid dumb kid, you know, based on what i have said and done )

I like to think that everyone is essentially a good person. But to give a proper assessment of you and your qualitites, I'd have to get to know you better. What's most important is what you think of yourself.

Villain is too flattering a word . Seriously, I haven't seen much of you yet and nothing that's led me to label you, so I'll assume you're a good person. There was that one thread that sent me into a rage and you offered to take the heat for everybody so points for that.

points! ( what can i use them for? )

When I hit you with the banhammer I'll feel a little worse about it than I would for other people

“You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It’s just common sense.”

Yeah! What Sehven said.

Out of ten are you surprised I have my Internet back after 2 months instead of 6?

I'm a 7 that you are asking me to answer a yes/no question with a number. So you're like, properly back then?

Wait, who are you again?

I see CC is busy... is it with school? College application related stuff? Who are we to know? :kz:

Anywho, I would like to ask... since CC once said like a year ago that he hopes to be hired by MM after he graduates, and I unno if that's still going to happen but if it does he'd have to give up LBPC to someone... anywho, the question I'm trying to get to here is that, well, if CC had to give one of you adminship of LBPC to one of you... who do you think it would/should be? Assuming that CC gives adminship to someone who is already a mod as opposed to just some random evil warlord off the street... /cough

Should that scenario ever become reality, I really don't mind who CC anoints to be his successor as long as it's
a) not me
b) not the devil
c) not me either

... Oddly enough, a few days ago I had a dream that CC's name was blacked out (i.e. it lost its green). Yep lol

... Also, on another note, do any of you think bringing back ArrowChat is worth a relook? For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm talking about this (http://www.arrowchat.com/index.php), basically a Facebook chat type thing. We had it, but it kinda brought the servers down... but yeah think it might be worth a relook? :/

Not sure it's viable atm, but yeah, I'd love to get some form of chat back. I'm almost always up for a chat
Um.......?

Would you guys possibly think about looking at Xfire for chat possibilities. You know, those of us who want to chat get it and add each other as friends and then we can chat? www.xfire.com (http://www.xfire.com) for more information ( oh god, i do believe i just did a commercial )

Gonna' have to cite you for advertising now
Really, though, I don't see why the site needs a built in chat function. You can use msn or aim or icq or whatever and then you don't have to worry about us moderating you

yah. i no. I was thinking of that. Xfire wouldn't be a built in thing. Members who want to have the chat option thingy can get xfire, and add the other lbp central buddies, or just the people... and once we have enough we could make a group, which would make it so that you wouldn't have to friend all of the other members of LBPC to have chat and stuff, they would all be listed in the group. It would be cool, easy, FREE, and useful. and nothing would have to be built into the site. What do you think now?

If you feel strongly about it, can't you just set up a group yourself and invite everybody you want into it? If you're looking for our sanction to make it an "official" lbpc group, then the answer is probably going to be no (CC's the guy you'd want to talk to about that), but there's nothing stopping you from making your own group and inviting members from the site. It's probably the kind of thing you'd want to send invitations for it through pm's though, rather than starting a thread (which could be considered advertising).

O.o ... yeah... I guess you're kinda right... I just thought it would be something you guys would want to set up... ( you guys have less power than mods on most forums that I use... -_- usually, the mods are 2nd in command, and can start stuff like this, and if it goes well, the admins make it official and stuff,... )

rtm now has more posts then me.

I am sad.

There goes my honor.

Can I have yours?

I have none to give.

Oh yeah, question.

Did you groan when you saw this topic was bumped?

Not until I saw who bumped it.

But seriously... CC never repleid to me about arrowchat. >_> <_< Can one of you talk to him and give me his response?

I'm sure CC will get around to it when he has time.

Also, I see my lifelong crusade to get MNRC taken down is finally coming to fruition. yay ;-;

What have you done about the virus on this site?

There is no virus on this site, since it's technically impossible to spread a virus via a website unless you're either...

Stupid enough to download an run an untrusted executable or plugin, but most browsers will warn you first, so if you click "yes" you only have yourself to blame.
Using a browser which has such a serious bug in it, that it actually allows untrusted code to run without your permission.

I did, however, see a popup window which pretended to be a virus scanner which said my computer was infected, but it's a hoax designed to make the ignorant and paranoid go out and buy a bunch of unnecessary, and ineffective, antivirus tools.

The moral of this story is: don't believe anything you read on the internet... including this.

Question: Is it wrong to got to a fancy dress part in normal stuff just so I have more money to spend on drinks?

No. I used to do that all the time.

Good. It shouldn't be an issue then

And real question for Comph - Has anyone ever told you that you bare i slight resemblance to Snafu (AKA Meriell Shelton) from The Pacific? (By which i mean the TV series, rather than the actual Meriell Shelton)

What device(s) do you monitor the forums on? Specs/etc?

Just a crappy old generic Windows laptop.

I monitor it on my personal mech's onboard computer.

What have you done about the virus on this site?

What virus? Sites don't get viruses. They can host them, so users download it, but the site itself can't get one. It can be hacked, or it could get a bug, but not a virus.

Indeed. We don't host any, but you may get linked to an unscrupulous site (which may attempt you trick you into downloading one) via one of the site adverts. If you should come across such an ad, then report it, and we can block it from appearing on the site.

Do you know where schm0 and CC went? OR did they disappear? Since they haven't logged in for five days, and I just wanted to know if they left any note or anything. Yeah. <_>

I think I heard them saying something about about stalkers and love letters as they ran away, not sure what that's about but they'll be back probably

Do any of you have kids? And if so, how did you get them to go to sleep at night?

As you may (or may not remember) I have 3. With the first two, I'd feed them at 8pm, then top them up - with a full sized feed - at 10pm, rather than wait the 4 hours or so. That way they were ultra-full and slept all night. With the third though I had to go to a seminar or two to get the strategies to help her settle herself. Controlled crying sucks, but it's necessary. If you're really desperate, you could try a local "sleep school". Your maternal and child health nurse/centre (or the hospital where your son was born) should be able to refer you. If that wasn't really a serious question.. well, store this info for when you really do need it. Kids' sleep patterns change right through their formative years, I hate to tell ya

I don't have any but I live with my single-mom sister and her two kids. It's never really been an issue with them because she doesn't put up with it if they refuse to sleep. When they were younger, we put them to bed at 8 every night and they knew better than to resist. It's all about maintaining discipline and not letting the kids push you around: I don't think she's ever even needed to spank them-- she just tells them how it is and never leaves any doubt about who's in charge. I dunno', maybe her kids are just amazingly well behaved on their own, but I attribute it to her: she is all kinds of loving, always makes time for them but there is never any doubt that she's the boss. I suppose it might have something to do with confidence: when you're confident, you just kind of radiate it and people pick up on it; maybe that's what she's doing.

I Asked and got this reply;

Got my Wisdom teeth removed and been in bed ever since. I'm nearly healed up though!

No more wisdom teeth?! Does that mean he'll come back as a regular teenager now ???

Ok, I know this thread is old... and i have asked many questions. But this one is important... WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY ARTWORK?

You do artwork? I never look in the artwork section unless a reported post takes me there.

click the links at the bottom of my sig.

Oh, and do you know what color your personality is? ( you dont have to take a test to find out, just look for information on color personalities, and find which one fits you. I turned out to be green, which surprised me. I am supposedly one of "nature's mothers"... i am a dude,.... so i had no idea i could have kids... and be a mother... O.o ( i had to find out and write a paper about it for school,... and then i got to wondering what other peoples colors were... ) (Please dont ignore me this time. it almost takes a week every time i ask a question to get an answer )

Two of my personalities are blue, one is red, and the last one is plaid.
It takes a while to get an answer because we're not checking back on this thread every day. This is the first time I've checked here in a month.

i was kidding about ignoring me. I figured you guys were just to busy. But, i have noticed, that at some times in the day, there are NO mods on at all. There should be at least one on at any time... but, since we don't have people from EVERY timezone, ( not just in mods, but in regular members too ) then that makes it harder to have one on at all times...

Anyone have Need For Speed: Hot Persuit?

I played the heck out of the original on the ps1 (loved that game), but it came out like two months before Gran Turismo so I kinda' stopped playing it after that. I picked up Hot Pursuit 2 for the Xbox and had some fun with it for a while, but it just didn't quite have the same feel as the original. I haven't played the new one and I wasn't really planning on getting it.

Ok, SERIOUS question now...

Basically... do you think we should promote one of you to admin? I say this because just having CC be the only admin (since lbp is just ceremonial or whatever), especially when he's been inactive or whatever... Well, I was just thinking that having someone else to do some of the things that may need being done... I unno, I'm just thinking. I'd guess, if this were to occur, the new admin would either be rtm or aya... but yeah, I'm just thinking that having more people to do some of that stuff may be... good. :kz:

I don't really know what the admin does, so I dunno much about this. I figure he handles things like promoting people to moderators and such and there's probably the occasional site problem that needs fixing, but it seems like the day to day stuff either takes care of itself or the mods handle it alright. CC hasn't had much time for the site lately but it doesn't seem to be going down the drain so I don't think we need to panic yet

Aya and I have limited admin status to do little things like make announcements at the top of the page. Thankfully, this site does quite a good job of running itself.

A month and 10 days later... why are Jeffcu and Sehven still waiting for their moderator buttons?
The community does care about those (at least I do)

CC hasn't been around much for the past month or so. If I pm'd him, he'd probably be able to set me up pretty quickly, but I just haven't been all that worried about it.

Yeah, the poor fellow's been sick. I hope he's been feeling better lately.

Sorry for double post here but it might make you notice this question

How will the mods celebrate the new year?

Watching a movie with theGirlfriend, maybe some drinks. Nothing too crazy.
I have a weird New Years Resolution. While most probably want to lose weight, I want to gain some. Hehe. So I'm gonna start 2011 off right... By stuffing my mouth with the best cheesecake I can find.

I played LBP... well what else would I do?!?
