ALRIGHT, so, with this new plugin I have made a little game type for you guys to try out.
It's pretty simple, not much setup to be done, and it's quite fun with lots of people.

The rules are this.

There are two types of player.
The HUNTER and the SNEAKER.

The hunter's job is to find the sneaking players in 5-10 shots, if the target amount of shots are fired, and you do not find the sneaker within that time, you lose, and the remaining sneakers win.

The Sneaker's job is to disguise themselves as any of the mobs in the arena, and act like that mob to avoid detection. You can disguise yourself as a Sheep, Cow, Pig, Chicken or Testificate. All you have to do is stay alive until the Hunter's ammo is gone.

You are allowed to switch mobs at any time during the round, but doing so could cause the Hunter to notice you. So use that perk wisely.

Wayyy too many animals in there. You have a bigger chance at missing the target you wanted to hit, and hitting another one with all the mobs in there.		2012-08-19 09:48:00

yea....there seems to be a couple or three issues with the plugin....not anything breaking, just annoyances.

hey guys. im like a month late about the minecraft update. new skins and dlc also pistons added. but the thing is can you play multiplayer without gold membership now? i couldn't when it first came out. only gol membership can. now i have the option in the update soo... idk. would it work?

btw: what i did in xbox version is make a house, bedroom, living room, i can go to the deck i made a spot to fish which is part of my house, tamed 15 wolves and made a room for all of them, i have a mining area under the house, and made a arena so i can fight endless waves of enemies down there. basically i got everything i wanted to have in minecraft except roller coaster which i have the stuff right now but i'll do that another time.		2012-08-19 16:27:00

You were banned for your constant attempts to aggravate everyone on the server, something which the other mods and i had been rather generous in letting you get away with. Not to mention the constantly insulting staff.

Do not try and turn this into a "Oh Kernel hates me" thing, because i have had it with you constantly complaining about our moderation. You constantly break rules and find loopholes just so you can do certain things on the server. I discussed it with Dayne and we both decided you were to be banned.

Though to be fair, you do tend to not play well with others. I've tried pretty **** hard to install new things on the server and configure it all, and all you do is criticise the rate at which I do it.. :/

And Kernel does have a valid point about how you argue and argue, push EVERY single rule and if no loophole is present, you will then question the syntax. So I'm afraid, at least temporarily (say, a month or two until we thinking about reconsidering it) the ban's gonna stand.		2012-08-22 18:41:00

Yes... I was aggravating everybody on the LBPC server, which I logged into for the first time in a week last night. I didn't try to turn it into a "Oh Kernel hates me" thing, I never once said that you hated me or implied it. I don't break rules on the server, and when was the last time I found a loophole... oh right, I remember, it was 1.8 or 1.0.

I also seem to remember this morning on Bag's server Nick and others saying to ban me on the LBPC server and you rushed right off to do it. I don't see how you could have had this "discussion" within the less than two minute period.		2012-08-22 18:47:00

I meant in general, Over the course of you being on the server you have rarely been helpful, constantly been negative and inciting arguments. Whether that be over unfair claims, or stealing things from other people's claims etc, You're far from innocent in this Tan.

I created the account and couldn't use my username because I already had one registered for that account so I just picked the first one I knew that came to mind. When I registered it asked for a display name and username on the forums and I picked my username for both of them. So in no way was I doing anything "deliberately antagonizing" to you.

I don't even see the point in trying to get you banned on any server, especially Bag's? What point is there in that...

Also, how am I supposed to know the reason I was banned on the server when I haven't played in a week and no reason was given to me except Nick, Gut, and Mags telling you to ban me on the LBPC server?

Also, I have never stolen anything. Yes I made an unreasonably large claim which I then downsized to a size approved by Memo and the every other mod except you. I do occasionally start an argument, but people just as frequently being one as well, you being the main person.I help people frequently whether it be help with commands, finding something, giving an opinion, or trading/giving items. Yes, we banned him from our server, then he logged into the IRC and was told to leave...so I banned him from there as well. He then signed up as Kern to get back into the IRC upon which I gave him an IP ban and Kern banned him from LBPC for using his screenname to bypass his ban.2012-08-22 19:56:00

Sure, you may say what is wrong with my head, but I'd like to know why you didn't say anything while I was chatting on the server via the DynMap for roughly an hour with people, and they were all fin with me being there, but the second Nick came online, you and Gut turned into sycophants that just repeated whatever Nick said? It is YOUR server, not his, yet you still act like you are terrified of him. I was just trying to get an explanation, and I kindly stopped when Nick told me to go kill myself. You may just say it is a game, but that truly hurts.

Seeing as how history is repeating itself, I thought I'd show another perspective on this battle of the ages.

A long time ago, on Whaaaaale's server, Inanimacy and I had a similar relationship to Kernel's and Tan's. Inanimacy always tried to make my life on the server more difficult that it needed to be, because I tried to do the same to him. How did it start? Honestly, doubt anyone really knows. It just boiled down to me and him constantly arguing, with him using mod powers against me, and me using my friends against him. Inanimacy, being a mod and friends with Whaaaaale, obviously had the upper hand in this situation.
This struggle led to the name DramaCentral, and in all honesty, ruined the server experience at times. I wasn't there for the end, but when I left, it wasn't all peach fields on cloud nine. A similar situation is happening here, and if it isn't dealt with soon, there will be repercussions.
Now, from my own personal experiences, both Kern AND Tan are nice guys. As with Inanimacy and I, it's their conflict that brings down their reputation to sewer-level. All this finger pointing, image ruining, and utter nonsense leads to unnecessary drama, which in turn will negatively impact the server. So then, how do we fix it? It's quite simple really. How about, instead of arguing and banning, witholding information and denying facts, you all sit down and discuss this issue?
"But Clay, we've tried that!" you say. Well, you obviously did it wrong. A discussion isn't Kernel telling Tan to stop being Tan. A discussion is all parties involved sitting down and reaching a compromise. No yelling, no arguing, no banning. Just talking about what each other wants.
"But Clay-" you try to say, but I must interrupt you. Both sides will have to do things they don't like. This is part of what a compromise is about. So how about, instead of having all this useless spam on the thread, you stop acting like children over a video game and start listening to each other's wishes? Seeing as how history is repeating itself, I thought I'd show another perspective on this battle of the ages.

A long time ago, on Whaaaaale's server, Inanimacy and I had a similar relationship to Kernel's and Tan's. Inanimacy always tried to make my life on the server more difficult that it needed to be, because I tried to do the same to him. How did it start? Honestly, doubt anyone really knows. It just boiled down to me and him constantly arguing, with him using mod powers against me, and me using my friends against him. Inanimacy, being a mod and friends with Whaaaaale, obviously had the upper hand in this situation.
This struggle led to the name DramaCentral, and in all honesty, ruined the server experience at times. I wasn't there for the end, but when I left, it wasn't all peach fields on cloud nine. A similar situation is happening here, and if it isn't dealt with soon, there will be repercussions.
Now, from my own personal experiences, both Kern AND Tan are nice guys. As with Inanimacy and I, it's their conflict that brings down their reputation to sewer-level. All this finger pointing, image ruining, and utter nonsense leads to unnecessary drama, which in turn will negatively impact the server. So then, how do we fix it? It's quite simple really. How about, instead of arguing and banning, witholding information and denying facts, you all sit down and discuss this issue?
"But Clay, we've tried that!" you say. Well, you obviously did it wrong. A discussion isn't Kernel telling Tan to stop being Tan. A discussion is all parties involved sitting down and reaching a compromise. No yelling, no arguing, no banning. Just talking about what each other wants.
"But Clay-" you try to say, but I must interrupt you. Both sides will have to do things they don't like. This is part of what a compromise is about. So how about, instead of having all this useless spam on the thread, you stop acting like children over a video game and start listening to each other's wishes? Stop talking behind each other's backs, stop acting like entitled fece-flingers, and stop ruining the server for other people. Isn't that reasonable?

I'm working on changing and fixing the title, reverting all the menus to the "blue scheme" (I'm not liking the green and orange, ugh), and I'm making things look a lot more decayed. I'm also thinking about making the grass/foliage look a lot more dead, what do you think? (At the moment it's immensely lush and green).

Excellent! We can download plenty of schematics and such, generate a nice not-so-hilly world like the MineZ server, and it will rule.
I'll look into the best mods for the job tomorrow! Though no doubt Tanrock will beat me to it and do so before I get back, so I'll PRETEND I'm looking into it, just to motivate him ;P

Alright guys! the new snapshot is out and I took it upon myself to show you guys what's in it!
First off, some new items.

on the left we have something called the Nether Star, I'm not sure what it does but I'm almost certain it's used to summon the wither boss.

And on the left we have the new CARROT ON A STICK.
Don't get too excited, it's not as great as it seems. Even though it lets you control pigs when riding them, they're slower than a turtle stuck in honey. But it can also be used to herd pigs from further away!

Below those items you will notice some fancy new mob heads... Creeper, zombie, steve, skeleton and... Wait, what is that?
I'll get to that in a second. The mob heads are pretty cool, they can be placed either on the wall, or on the floor.

As you can see, they can be placed at many angles when on the ground as well.
I killed 120+ creepers, and only 4 of them dropped a head, so this item looks like it'll be pretty rare.

Also, if any of you remember the beacon block, or "WIP" block in the snapshot before the last one, it's back!
And it's got a new design, which I think makes it look a lot better.

It is from a new Nether mob called the Wither Skeleton.

They are taller, stronger, and a little faster than a normal skeleton, oh, and THEY HAVE SWORDS.

It's dropped by the Wither boss and used in crafting the beacon block along with glass and obsidian. Three obsidian blocks go along the bottom, the Nether Star goes in the middle and the glass goes around the top and sides.

Keep the Hub world, but deactivate chunk generating if possible. (just put on a reasonable world border around the hub construction site). We only need a bit of it!
As for the rest, maybe do a vote?

Each block has a new sound for placing instead of having one for breaking AND placing..
They sound so wrong, SO WRONG.
Placing wood sounds like someone's playing ping pong! And, they also added new footstep sounds to everything! Some of them aren't bad, but others are just... uughghhghghuhuhs..

Oh, and they added new mob sounds, new footstep sounds for those mobs, and the most ANNOYING SOUND EVER: EXP LEVEL UP SOUNDS. It plays EVERY SINGLE TIME you level up, and it's friggin annoying!
The sounds put a major damper on the 1.4 update for me, they're... so... Eugh...

Although, Lava sounds pretty awesome now.

Flatworld configuration now allows you to generate trees, strongholds etc
Now pumpkins, tall grass, flowers, trees, mineshafts, dungeons, strongholds, lakes, desert wells, ravines and ores will spawn on superflat maps
A number of new NBT tags for items (intended for custom map makers)
Better inventory management
The pick block action now works on items
Pressing the 1-9 hotkeys while hovering over an item will put that item into the inventory bar
In creative mode, you can now shift-click items from the hotbar to the survival inventory screen
The left-click action will no longer open doors, pull levers, push buttons or open trapdoors. Use the right mouse button!
Firespread has been slightly nerfed again to prevent infinitely spreading fires

Since we started using Multicraft as our primary game panel, we've had many users switch from our GameCP nodes to the Multicraft nodes. This has left a lot of GameCP nodes empty and not fully utilized, so we will be moving users from under-utilized nodes to more active ones via load balancing. Furthermore, it is causing us upkeep strain as we are spending more time maintaining under-utilized nodes where we can focus on more active ones which will be more beneficial. The moves will begin in two weeks starting on 10/19/2012 with an estimated completion date by 11/20/2012.
The moving process will be done on an individual basis (not all users will be moved) and is usually no more than 10-30 minutes of downtime. If you have a MySQL database with us, that will be moved as well, so just update the hostname to your server's new IP. We will be moving all your files for you but your IP will unfortunately have to cha nge (the new IP can be found in the game panel after the move).
Any user that has been moved will be compensated with a 5% lifetime discount and this will apply for all future downgrades and upgrades for the inconvenience. Another viable option is you may move to the Multicraft panel as well. For users interested in this, we can create a Multicraft server for you while leaving the old server on GameCP up so you can migrate your files as well as tell your users of the new IP. Another benefit with Multicraft is that you will get your own dedicated IP and 25565 port for your server which may be beneficial for those are currently paying for a dedicated IP on GameCP.
Those who are NOT fine with the move because of the new IP, let us know via support ticket so we can tell you the new IP ahead of time. If you wish to be moved sooner rather than after the start date, just send us a support ticket.

Because the OMG NEW STUFF TO COLLECT hype died down, and I don't believe the trading system is kicking off very quickly.
Suggestions to make the server more interesting, with more to do (Without massive mods like Tekkit) would be greatly appreciated.

Yea. I'm looking at going down to a smaller server since we don't really need what we have. I was thinking of just canning it, but...I still do get the urge to play every now and then.

I'd also like to make it a more....difficult server. Fewer mods and the like. But eh.

We need a mod that makes more mobs spawn randomly in chunks already loaded. There's naff all to fight. And people only want to play when other people are online, which of course brings that paradox back again...

Yes, the new version is the latest snapshot. But at the moment it's only a superflat world.

I found a strangely disturbing enemy on the LBPC server - a dark, armless figure who I mistook for a creeper, but it was taller and dark colored.

and tbh, this world (superflat) is much more exciting and fun. Going around with a partner from village to village and protecting villagers is so fun, especially when you're far from spawn, so if you die, you lose everything. 		2012-10-10 02:09:00
