| I use everything set to max, including load far and dynamic loading. I can run far view on normal draw distance (but I dont use it because the server limits the view distance). I also set all the "better" details on and use Photo-realism x256. And I have dynamic shadows and motion blur. I never used a FPS counter, but I can be sure it is above 20-30, as it runs smoothly enough. Your computer must be a monster to be able to run that. | A new CraftBukkit Beta Build 1.2.3-R0.1 (#2034) that provides Minecraft 1.2.3 compatibility is now available. As always, please remember to backup your servers before updating, just in case. Will plugins break with this build? Unless the plugin developers of your plugins have been keeping up with Bukkit development, plugins will most likely be broken due to the recent optimisation and cleaning of our code. What is a Beta Build? A Beta Build is in between a developer build and a Recommended Build. These builds simply work and are promoted much more frequently than a Recommended Build. While we will do some testing before promoting a beta build, we will not be running it through our extensive test process. As such, there are no guarantees that they will not contain minor bugs. If we do find out they are broken, we will mark it as such on DLB and promote a new one. A beta build may contain incomplete API and new features but they should not interfere with running the build in any way. That dude needs to be banned. He is a menace. On an unrelated note, I searched high and low through three jungle areas for one ocelot so I can have a cat, but never so much as glimpsed one. | I thought the free version was the ALPHA and they added crafting in the BETA? And I agree that the iOS version sucks. I can't even load a world ever since they added Survival... Anywhoo. Well, after logging over 400 hours in the real version of MineCraft, that was a very limited update. They only added features that should have been there in the first place. The iOS is perfectly able to play the early versions of BETA. All they had to do was port it, cut the graphics slightly, cut the world size greatly, cut the render distance, and put in the iOS controls. And it would have been much better. And I do understand that programming is difficult. But it is the same programming that they used for the PC version. So they have no excuse. | Yes, You'll need to make the Town unbreakable, and most of the landscape if you can. Though the Heart blocks MUST be breakable. Will you be able to reset the map at will? Or will we need to find a fix for the Elite's side? Because their block has a special lock that stops people from going out the front way again. | So, Get this, I am a BIG fan of the DokuCraft texture pack, my custom texture pack is made up of mostly doku stuff. And one of the mods I have adds SHIELDS to it (It's called BattleCraft) And I wanted nice RPG looking shields, which no one really made. So I took it upon myself to make some shields. And 2200 hours is actually more than 2/3 of 5 months. You've obviously never met someone without a life before. So therefore, even though you dont have a life, in order to achieve what you said, you would have to play for more than 16 hours every single day. So if you miss 3 hours one day, thats 3 more youre gonna need to tack on later. This leaves you less than 8 hours to do everything else, every single day of every week. And don forget; if you miss one single our, it has to be put in some other day or youve failed. And this, I find impossible. | Memodrix, Many of us on the server have discussed and decided that we would like to get rid of the following plugins and permissions: - /tp - warps - found diamond And gain the following: + HawkEye + Residences + Multiverse The reason being, the fun can no longer be sapped out of everyone's game by simply letting them zip to anywhere at any time. Allowing a few residences to protect their things and find their way home is perfect enough. And with Multiverse, players can go to spawn, and then run down the street the old fashioned way (using their legs. Ooh, remember those?!) to access the portal Hub. Thanks!
