And for those who thought Exile Villify didn't gather as much attention as it deserved:

Personally, Want You Gone is my favorite one, but I guess it's because I love the song a lot.

You're a bit late on that one

That's the whole reason there was that potato ARG just before Portal 2s release.

The Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC is now live, and as promised you can download the first PC Gamer-themed test chamber from the Steam Workshop.

It’s a little bit more complicated than the puzzle I built in fifteen minutes for our hands-on video, but that’s not saying much. At least you can’t beat this one with only two portals. Thanks for pointing that out, though, everyone.

I've been meaning to try the perpetual testing DLC since it came out, but that meant loading up Vista which takes forever I just got onto Vista and opened Steam, but my terrible internet means the download still has over an hour left, fml. My laptop isn't fantastic at running Portal 2 anyway, I usually only play on PS3. I think I played the PC version once when I redeemed the code just to see how well badly it ran.

But this does look pretty awesome. Hopefully I won't end up spending hours at a time on this like I did with LBP when it first came out, since my AS exams start in a few days

Will play them soon.

My favorite community chambers are the 12 Angry Tests series. The guy who made them is really professional.

How can your laptop not run it? Mine runs it completely fine without a hiccup; my friends HP laptop runs it too.

Played the levels posted on here. Since I'm hardly active in the Steam community, I might as well post feedback here.

Make That Leap: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=68596868

Pretty simple, yet I love the platforming aspect of it. To be honest, I would have beaten this level in under 1 minute had you not made turning on the switch at the end mandatory to leave. Oh yeah, that reminds me: I skipped the first part where you needed to use the gels. In fact, I didn't even need the gels to beat the chamber.

Mantis Men Lazer Chamber: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=68670531

I was actually disappointed with this one. I'm not going to lie: it took me quite a while before I figured out the puzzle. But honestly, I was hoping there was going to be some platforming.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=71545697

Fun, although I beat it fairly quickly. Also, mind telling me how you're supposed to solve the 'puzzle'? The part where you needed to get the glass cube confused me since there was no real indication of what you had to do next. I have an odd feeling I didn't do the 'correct' method because I activated the button, jumped down the pit with a portal, and flung myself to the button that stops the "catwalk". Oh, and I used the other cube to block the laser beam at the same time. Am I missing something, or am I too [MLG]2PRO4Ux420x5N1P3R?

The map is kind of terrible I put way too much crap in there. But the intended solution was this:

Portal in the pit, to fling across to the button. Stand on button, get cube. There's a portal surface above the button if you look up. Put a portal on there, then jump down and use the cube to block the laser. Then press the pedestal button, and quickly put a portal on the flip panel behind you and jump down onto the button. If you do it fast enough the laser cube will fall down. Move the storage cube out of the way, and position the laser cube so it will reflect on the portal wall next to the pit. Put a portal there, and another opposite the laser switch thing (which is above the button room). Put the storage cube down just outside the fizzler. Press the pedestal button, and if the laser is lined up correctly the fizzler will be disabled for a few seconds. Quickly grab the storage cube and run through, and drop it on the button.

What? I had to look up? ._. God I hate over thinking things. I feel so stupid now.

Well, I guess I did the pro method.

So I've been messing around with the editor a bit more and it works fine, but whenever I try to test my chambers, the game runs painfully slowly. It's fine in the little room behind the entrance, or if you're standing in an empty corner facing the wall, but trying to actually play anything causes the game to lag like hell, and it usually crashes if you pick up a cube or something. So that makes it quite hard to make test chambers, since I can't test them
I am running the game on the Windows 8 developer preview so I guess that might be part of the problem, since it's hardly a stable release...but if I play it on Vista it crashes within a few seconds of loading a level. I wish valve would release the PTI dlc on PS3, because then I would actually be able to use it properly -.- I think LBP proves you can make this kind of thing work pretty well on consoles, and the Portal 2 editor already seems like it would be easy enough to use with joypad controls.

I think they're going to have to release some DLC for PS3 - because, after several disappointments at an End Of Year LAN Party yesterday, it seems the update broke cross-system compatibility between Steam and PS3.

Any PS3 players wanna help me earn all the MP trophies now that my friends are unable? :L

Vista user here. And no, my game runs Portal 2 smoothly, and I played some (what were considered) game breaking levels. Nothing bad happened. Also, for Valve to release the PTI on PS3 they need to figure out a way to connect the Workshop with PSN. I'm not sure if Sony is up to work with one of its competitors, but I could be wrong: they got PS3 to PC co-op working.

You can always ask Steam users for help as well. They can co-op with each other, so that'll broaden your range of players available.
