LBPC Group Photo - ENTRIES CLOSED!!

I think if this is an LBPC Group Photo, ALL LBPC members should be eligible, regardless of how often they post. If it is dependant on activity, you need to change the name of the photo. There are people here who don't show up much on the forums but who are involved over at the social groups, for example, so might not be familiar to you, but are very familiar to us. Then there are those who may have joined us yesterday and want to be in the group pic but, sorry, no... we don't know who you are so you're not included, but hey, welcome to LBPC. See what I mean?

I'm sure you guys are not intending to be elitist, but that's how this being 'selective' will come across.
Whether they're drive-bys or not, if they're members and want to be included, they should be included - that's what I think - and if it's a matter of size, make a couple of photos. Or change the name and specify the criteria right off the bat.
Plus, if something bears the name LBPC in it's title, surely the only ones with the right to impose any exclusivity would be the mods or admins, right?

If so, you are welcome to use this.

Btw, if your layers are starting to lag, a good way to fight it, is to have a secondary source file that has the layers that you are relitively sure of, rendered as one object. Then you can (add/edit) the more fluid parts in that "working" file, and then group and transfer them over to your main file.		2010-05-27 09:53:00

Some sackpeople in the picture (particularly in the bottom right-hand corner) seem a bit crammed and smaller than the others. Plus, some of the spacing in the bottom row seems off and a little sloppy.

Ignore the fact that the top pic is outdated. As for rtm's cape, it's too awesome! I don't know what to do with it. And it's difficult to get it to overshadow comphermc. Also, LBPC man might not be able to make it because there might not be enough room. 		2010-06-02 04:40:00

I prefer the original background. Maybe it's the colourful stickers occupying the left side though, the lined paper looks nicer to me and the bright white makes the sacks pop more. The shadows of pages really stand out in second one. I am thinking you removed the stickers to make room in the new one for more sacks. Could you try leaving the stickers in but making them transparent. Maybe 40%, whatever seems best. Might allow for keeping the stickers in, which I think add a nice LBP touch, but not cluttering what we are looking at.2010-06-02 04:58:00

The first one looks better by far than the second. The 2nd just has a more washed out background and doesn't look as professional as the first. Can't say I'm a fan of the larger figures on the edge of either of them though to be honest. It would be much better if you kept them all a uniform size as far as possible.2010-06-02 21:15:00

I agree! And the corkboard background draws too much attention to the mods, in my opinion. Yeah - really we're just members. If you wanted mods as a group, that's cool, but the same size as everybody else would be preferable - for me, anyway. It's looking good though and I appreciate all your work! Do you have a USB fash drive?

If so, plug it into a USB port on your PS3, next to your the USB port where your controller is plugged in. Go to your PS3 album and press triangle over the picture. There's an option like "download to media" where you can put it on your flash drive.

Then, plug your flashdrive into your computer, and upload to a free image hosting website like TinyPic or Photobucket.

If not, you can use the PS3 browser to upload your PS3 album image to a free image hosting website like TinyPic or Photobucket. I personally tried it with LBPC albums, but it doesn't work since the 4.0 VBulletin Experience Update. When you click an image hosting site's upload button, the PS3's albums will come up, and you can select the picture(s).		2010-06-03 23:15:00

You should change the background to something like a crumpled grid paper i have the texture if you want it...would look better

Tbh i think you should remove the 'LBPC Group Photo" at the top as it looks really bland and dull..or maybe you could change it and add a clipping mask or something

The boarder meh i would go for a 1px black one its a little too thick

I agree! And the corkboard background draws too much attention to the mods, in my opinion. Yeah - really we're just members. If you wanted mods as a group, that's cool, but the same size as everybody else would be preferable - for me, anyway. It's looking good though and I appreciate all your work! what is the size of your origional?
2495 by 1251, the size is a bit odd because I cropped it wrong, and it made the numbers different, it shouldn't cause a problem though.

A note to everyone, gray, or colors that aren't too bright, are best. As I don't use a quick selection tool to cut out the pictures.
Green backgrounds or bright colored backgrounds are bad, due to the low-res picture format of LBP, colorful pixels may merge with the edge of your sackperson.

I made it a PNG with a transparent background for your sake so you won't have to go through what I did. This picture used to be on green but it was hell to get the green off - I actually had to reconstruct part of his glove. Once I got it on a gray background, I realized the gloves blended right in. White didn't work because of the tie and black didn't work because of the body. I realized a transparent PNG was my only hope. There's still a little white around the edges but I don't know if it matters. Nothing an eraser tool can't fix. Hope this makes it in 		2010-06-19 00:06:00

Out of curiousity, but do you want to put a final date for submissions on? Because the way this stands, we will never actually have a finished product. If that is what you want then fair enough, there is some merit in it being an ever evolving thing. Let warlord himself discuss the eligibility of getting in on the group photo and whether or not someone's reputation should affect their eligibility.
