| Hi everybody, I finished the solo campaign and found it incredibly EPIC! Short, of course, but epic. I am now starting with the multiplayer, but unfortunately, it appears i am a very very bad player.... I mean, i have the bad and permanent feeling to be a young rabbit in front of incredible killers... I think i need any help, so, please, can somebody give me the "golden rules" of the FPS in a wild environment? | ...any advice, in order to increase my KR above 0.3...lol Well, choose a gun that you really like/are good at using and then find really good hiding spots and camp for a little while, then move(better with a sniper). It's not a bad thing to camp in a spot for a little bit but when people do it for the entire match it gets BAAAADDDD. If hiding isn't your style I suggest running around like a maniac while frantically shooting people. Thats normally what I did in cod4 lol When you get better weapons, don't worry. | If anyone beats my best time on the Evasion Spec Ops level in Alpha on Veteran I will buy them anything they want (anything!) from the LBPC store that I can afford. Or like as many stickers they want. My best time is 38.95 Develops best is about 45. Uploading a video for proof as I recorded it with FRAPS. | Man, I do love this game but I must agree with Teebonesy; Spawn points are TERRIBLE! So many times have I been doing so very well destroying their team and getting high kill streaks, then all of a sudden they start spawning BEHIND me when I'm extremely close to where I spawned just before! (Lol, I wasn't camping these times, I just keep getting attacked and have to push back. So some random person spawns behind me, kills me, then I spawn on the opposite side of the map and their ENTIRE team is over where I was! It's BS. Also, Predator missiles usually go for large groups of people. Well... on lots of maps you will spawn near your team, which will be in the wide open, and your team is the target of a predator missile, then BOOM. Same with Choppers, tons of maps have unnecessary glass for a roof, and things just shoot right through them into your spawn. I found campaign to be pretty fun and epic, but also cheap and REALLY hard to follow. Finally, what is your guys most hated map? Mines Highrise... oh my gosh... Highrise... the dang roof is glass, their are random edges you can fall off, and spawn camping always happens! Gah! It's terrible! My favourite maps are the city ones, and The Estate, as that's where I got my first AC130 killstreak! | @Cog - highrise becomes a good map in Domination, which is about all i play now, as it lessens the bad spawns, and makes it much more fun. Estate is generally very annoying though. The two versions this time around are basically identical :/ Despite having lean, dedicated servers, mods and all that customisation in Modern Warfare 1, they took it out of 2. To be honest though I prefer the console setup as it makes things more varied. (I found I only ever played 2 or 3 levels online on PC version of MW1). The only thing I do miss is lean. PC version doesn't support a controller so it's only keyboard and mouse (pretty sure of that) and obviously the graphics are a touch better. They're the only differences. Oh and no split screen on PC too for obvious reasons. @snrm: Really? I found it to be a pain having the aiming cursor so high. The game just didn't feel right either. | I am banned for a week because we turned up half an hour early for something instead of 35 mins... I am gonna be so far behind everyone and will then play bad because of stress. Primary M16A4 -Red Dot Sight -Silencer Secondary M93 Raffica -Red Dot Sight Equipment -Semtex Special Grenade -Flash Grenade x2 Perks -Bling Pro (obviously) -Cold-Blooded -Ninja Obviously, I like being hidden. My killstreaks are... -Harrier Strike -Pave Low -AC130 Yeah, I start off with a 7 killstreak, and it works almost everytime. Anyways highest killstreak is 27 now. | @Whoever was talking about the assault rifles - The Scar is one of the best in the game imo - It's powerful, even without stopping power, and if you have scavenger on you will never run out of ammo. My KD went up to 2.58 today, but has gone back down to 2.54. Still reasonably happy with it. What are your favourite maps? Mine might be terminal. I dunno how I did it, but I did. Also a question for you all, mostly for maid3n though seeing as he has the 360 version. Okay, everytime I get the harrier strike, i get two kills with it, which unlocks the pavelow, and then i let those two kill some people for me ( I just hide in a corner and wait ) until I get the AC130. My question to you, my friend says it doesn't work like that on the 360. If you get the AC130 just from kills though, or if you call in a killstreak from getting the kills, they still count. Actually you misread that, it says they add to your killcount, which is a "duh" moment. I've been experimenting with this anything and everything will count towards your killstreak if and only if it is one of the three choices that you have. If it was a Pave Low from a crate for example, it will count towards your killcount, but not towards your killstreak. Also, if let's say you get 7 kills, and get the harrier strike, and die as soon as you get those 7 kills. Once you spawn, and use your harrier, it will not count towards your new killstreak, meaning another 7 kills with the harriers will not give you another harrier strike. So yeah, crates don't count, and you must stay alive for them to count towards your killstreak. Chopper gunner lasts far too long. The AC-130 is reasonably balanced in comparison. Basically, anything electronic becomes disabled, including your little map on the top left, you won't be able to use your killstreaks, so if you have a harrier waiting to launch, you won't be able to until the EMP is over with. If your scope has a thermal, it won't work. I find it pretty handy though I won't be unlocking it just yet. AND WOW! i used the Dessert Eagle and got all the headshots ( i almost always get a headshot) and then when i thought the 1000 kills for it was when you got the callsign i was excited. The 1000 kills with the dessert eagle got me the last xp for the 1st prestige. Then i found out i needed 2500 for the next marksman! When i prestiged i found out there were sort of new challenges for every gun which had a reward that was a callsign. Thats what it said for the reward. | Well, just kinda jumping into this thread. Over a friends house (Because my parents decided to buy CODMW2 and then decided to hide it until Xmas) I snagged my first nuke. Quite Epic. My only problem is that this game has a lot of rookies. After not playing COD4 for about 5-6 months, I was surprised to see that I was able to percieve an indivdual on my screen for a good 10 seconds without him even shooting at me. Some people are space-shots on MW2. I swear I couldve easily got a 5-6 Killstreak just by running up to people in plain sight and knifing them. And I guess you could argue thats not a problem. One quick thing that you might not know is that you actually shoot/aim from the top of your head, so get behind cover that you can just see over. Enemies will only see the very top of your head. | I use the 2nd last sniper (don't remember the name) with FMJ (that's what it's called right? ). It usually kills with 1 shot, and I usually do quite good with it. Just recently got the Chopper Gunner. I bought the AC130 before that, not knowing how much better the Chopper Gunner is. I've used the CG 3 times now and I'm loving it. All three times though my chopper eventually got shot down, making my kill streak stop. The longest it lasted was at 21 kills. If the thing didn't get shot down I would probably have a 30+ kill streak right now. I still had a decent amount of ammo in my gun. I ended that 3rd game in which I was at 21-1 after the CG got shot down, going 30-1. I just got my pave low, and then the game ended. Probably would have gotten another CG and another 20 kills. | Ah just had a great match. Got a killstreak of 3 airdrop(hardline), then i got my pred and killed 2 people to get one off my mass air drop and then managed to call it but died. I then ran as fast as I could and shottied two blokes and stabbed another to get an additional airdrop. I manged to collect uav jammer, senty, air strike and an ac130. after using up all the abilities (the ac130 dominated), I then called in my extra airdrop and merely 10 seconds after my first ac130 attack ended I got another xD After the second artillery shot the host left Then after it I got tubed 3 times in a row :/ | 2009-12-01 20:38:00 Author: Shermzor  Posts: 1330 |

| Well it didn't take long but there is now a glitch with the Javelin. Your basically a walking missile. What you do is have the Javelin, and a Semtex. Lock the Javelin missile, grab R2 for nade, press triangle. You should now be "activated." Now run around and wait for someone to kill you, once they do your missile explodes and has like a 300 feet radius. I hated it when people stay in just one spot/building, which is proper camping. I think its quite funny now though. Also, people that camp normally get very little kills/deaths. It takes skill to snipe, where as it doesn't to wait for someone to run past where you're hiding and shoot them in the back. | Finally got a nuke! Oh happy day. Late yesterday I unlocked it and since then I had only gotten 1 pave low. I was get jipped all day today. In my last game, bam I got it. The game before that was going to be my last game but then I unlocked the M21 (the last sniper) so I wanted to try it out. We go to wasteland, still playing domination, and I'm using yee old M21, and not doing THAT good initially. Then I grab some guys M4 (the gun I usually use) with heartbeat censor (it helped me near the end of it's run). I go mad and kill 9 people with it, get my pave low, and then right as I get it the gun runs out of ammo so I have to run around with my M21. My pave low kills like 7 people, but that doesn't help your kill streak. This guy comes up to me and I quick scope fire at him and get the kill and now have his gun. I immediately find someone after stealing his gun and I kill him. Bam, chopper gunner. I hide in the barn and launch that baby and it quickly climbs me up to a nuke. With 8 more points till victory I launch that bad boy. Funny thing is right after I launched it I got shot in the back (hopefully the nuke doesn't add to your kill streak ). Game won. Might as well stick to the 5,7,11. Anyways I've gotten into playing Search and Destroy and it's actually pretty fun. | Man when I was home a few weekends back I played the PS3 version, and **** it is so much easier online. Without even being on a PS3 in a long time I started doing pretty **** well.
