*you return home only to find that Creator Pack 1 has been withdrawn due to a game breaking glitch, and the re-release has been scheduled for next month* No way this is happening. Media Molecule are perfectly at ease with leaving the game breaking there until a future patch. By the way, I'm surprised we didn't find the major bugs the creator pack introduced yet. According to MM track records, there is supposed to be at least 2 of them. . | 2009-04-23 22:45:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
What's the glitch for removal? mm.. jump pad and no-jump floor? i think they count xD | 2009-04-23 22:46:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |
Its not a glitch, just a way to hide it and still make it function, its in my sig. The original post is lost god knows where in the thread | 2009-04-23 22:48:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
Dude, they soooo put that radio in the tutorial on purpose... Very sneaky MM, very sneaky... | 2009-04-23 22:48:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |

Ah, the Global Lighting Tool is EPIC. The first "test" I did with it was to create some floating platforms out of Dark Matter, and then make sort of "steps" that each time you go up, the background changes colour. Looks AMAZING! (and took like 10 seconds) | 2009-04-23 23:17:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |
Question: Let's say I put my level halkway in-between 2 different color correction settings. At some point in the same level, another global lighting tool is activated but only for changing something else than the color correction (let's say it's to change brightness).... Will this reset my "glitched" color correction? . | 2009-04-23 23:22:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Sweet, I've just downloaded it! Now let see what its got. | 2009-04-23 23:24:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Yes it resets it as far I could see when messing around earlier. Dexiro, I want more fun to, but I'm shattered and heading off to bed shortly. | 2009-04-23 23:24:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
hey dexiro i was messing around with your jump pad thing and a put it sideways, attached to a piece of dark matter, and stacked like 15 of them. i then copied the stack and placed it on the other side, then put one last cancel one at the very top. results in mega jump that launches you super high. | 2009-04-23 23:25:00 Author: Unknown User |
lol, that sounds cool, I might have a play with that instead of bed, much cooler idea | 2009-04-23 23:25:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

It was in all of the old tutorials from the beginning. i'm pretty sure it wasn't i remember going into one of them to check what the music was and i only heard wind and birds tweeting, definatly wasn't music unless the one i went one happened to be the only tutorial without music | 2009-04-23 23:30:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |

Dexiro, I want more fun to, but I'm shattered and heading off to bed shortly. hmm... so we either chose to change our settings during the level or having a special setting all through... . | 2009-04-23 23:32:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
hey grantos i can publish my level if you want to see my idea if i didnt explain it thoroughly enough | 2009-04-23 23:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
hmm... so we either chose to change our settings during the level or having a special setting all through... . Not if you change the second variable during the level and have the fog change itself back straight after while keeping your changes. | 2009-04-23 23:34:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
@tvm, I really am off to bed, I've been fiddling with the create pack for hours now, and my eyes are burning, publish the level and send me a PM though and I'll check it out. I think I'm going to see spinning red crosses and Global lighting thingys in my sleep Night all, I had fun tonight. | 2009-04-23 23:41:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

I'm confused on the color temperature setting. Is what you guys are saying is that with the global lighting switch you can have a color displayed that would otherwise not be possible but the slide for the color can be moved smoothly with the right analog stick so I'm confused on how it makes a new color? I think I may be missing something here, can i get some help here. | 2009-04-24 01:21:00 Author: OverWork Posts: 873 |

If you destroy the switch while the colour is changing you'll have a colour you can't tweak the options to get. | 2009-04-24 01:23:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
Oh man the infinite lives checkpoint level really made me laugh! | 2009-04-24 01:28:00 Author: ryryryan Posts: 3767 |
If you destroy the switch while the colour is changing you'll have a colour you can't tweak the options to get. But how is that possible if you can move the slider smoothly, does it mean there are even more colors in between those colors too. | 2009-04-24 01:32:00 Author: OverWork Posts: 873 |
But how is that possible if you can move the slider smoothly, does it mean there are even more colors in between those colors too. wow i never knew that i only ever used the d-pad, and that raises it in intervals | 2009-04-24 02:26:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |
Global lighting tool is as awesome as expected. You can tweak anything you want, even colour correction wich I wasn't expecting. Now lets all prepare for the stormload of awful day/night/psychedelic levels that will be released this weekend. Yeah, but the pic on the Media Molecule site doesn't have the Global Lighting tool there. WHAT IF THEY LIED! Z0mGZORZ! | 2009-04-24 02:32:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
But how is that possible if you can move the slider smoothly, does it mean there are even more colors in between those colors too. What the... I seriously never knew you can move it like that... I... feel... like... an idiot... | 2009-04-24 02:50:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
What the... I seriously never knew you can move it like that... I... feel... like... an idiot... Yeah, I just figured that out today. Which is funny because I often joke about how you always find out something new in LBP every day. | 2009-04-24 02:55:00 Author: Tyler Posts: 663 |
ok so we already could create all sorts of color corrections already? LOLOLOL . | 2009-04-24 03:07:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

I only got to play with it for like two seconds last night, but the global lighting tool is everything I ever wanted it to be and more. I didn't even get to scratch the surface with the tetherless jetpack yet. Man, this is awesome. ^_^ | 2009-04-24 13:07:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

I'm so glad this pack came out. I am taking full advantage of the invisibiliy option. Without it there would have been so many pistons and strings going everywhere. Thanks to pistons being invisible, I stuck an invisible mouth on an invisible stick (the "glitch" to shrink a material down to the point where it's invisible) Then I put an invisible piston attatched to the stick and the ground. The mouth has cutscene "on". When a sackboy enters the proximity of the mouth, the piston moves up, moving the cutscene up with it. I set the piston speed to something very slow. So now I can get a panoramic shot of an object too big for the screen. This works beautifully in my level when I summon Shenlong (Yes...from Dragonball) | 2009-04-24 19:00:00 Author: Drabaz Posts: 67 |
The invisibility thing came with yarg... | 2009-04-24 19:22:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
My bad lol. In that case, I love the global lighting tool just as everyone else does. My old alternative to switching from day to night was to just put a flat black material in the background. Primitive, I know. | 2009-04-24 19:39:00 Author: Drabaz Posts: 67 |
Ooh, I just saw that the global lighting thing allows 0.1 second transitions. could someone make a really awesome thunder effect with this? I might try.... That's what I was hoping to be able to do. I've been playing around with some other things, but this one is next on my list to try. I think to be able to achieve a really good effect, some regular lighting will need to be involved as well though. Man this GLT is wicked!:hero: | 2009-04-24 19:58:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
The infinte lives level is brilliant. The global lighting tool is the best the others i'm not to fussed with. I've now got the under ground bits of Jungle fun to go dark. It now looks how I wanted it. | 2009-04-24 20:43:00 Author: bindibaji Posts: 119 |
Yeah it`s great. My Treasure Island level has a big stone skull with candles as eyes. Before, it was in broad daylight. Now I can make it night time as you approach it so it doesn`t look so daft. | 2009-04-24 20:48:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |
