Never seen that either... I think you always spawn at the castle because that's where the hat machines are.

Maybe theres a button that changes where you spawn during that countdown after you die.

Definitely count me in on this. I need to play this game with people who know what they are doing, the matches I get stuck in are usually people who just grab bombs and blow open our own doors. It's frustrating to say the least. Surprisingly, I haven't lost a game yet though. It's probably just luck at this point. 2009-08-08 11:02:00

Dieing has never bothered me either, i've always been suicidal in games like this

I always collect resources if they're needed though, it's a shame it doesn't take long to fully upgrade.

Does anyone else find the ice mages really annoying?
I think they need to patch their aoe attack so it only freezes when fully charged.

Im not a big fighting fan, i like being on top of the castle doors and snipping people with my bow and arrow.
And when you try to get the princess, theres alwas TONS of warriors beside you, then 3 seconds later your dead, the game really needs more lifes when you have a princess.		2009-08-08 12:34:00

That's a strategy, usually a warrior or archer is paired with a priest who continually heals them. They both get points, the priest for all of the healing and the warrior/archer because they can slaughter half a team.		2009-08-08 12:46:00

Grab your class, then sit infront of the priest machine pressing up on the d pad. When i computer walks by you will call them on to your team. You can control 3 coms at a time. You could 3 priests for all i care.		2009-08-08 16:36:00

First of all, you become a Huge chicken if you get the most points, but you're on the losing team.

I know you can use the potion in a bottle, but the potion i saw wasn't in a bottle, it was a circle.

I just bought it today - best full game I ever got from PSN! I loved playing through the story mode in one sitting, and played a few online matches as well I love the matches when they just keep on going. Luckily I was the one to save the princess 2009-08-09 06:12:00

I just can't convince myself to get interested in this game. The whole painting the ground with blood idea just turns me off. It's like they have gone a certain direction with the art style, and then said, "Ah, that's too kiddy. Let's put in some blood so people know it's okay for adults to play. Lots of blood. Lots and lots of blood." I just hate games that have over the top and stupid gore, no matter how realistic or unrealistic it is. It just smells like an element to be put in because they could.

The other problem I have is I fear the online matches will not be that fun. I can just imagine people either being jerks and not doing the right thing, or disconnecting because they are losing, or all sorts of other things that can go wrong in online games. If they put it there to make it seem like more than a kids game then they wouldn't of kept that visual style to begin with

This game's full of jokes and references and i guess having a load of cute characters killing each other just adds to that personality.

It is almost it's own specific art style. They started with a cartoony approach, and then threw in blood for shock value. You see these cute little Wii-avatar-like creatures running around the screen...slaughtering each other. As Dexiro said, it can be turned off, but once you get past the initial shock of cute creatures getting hacked to bits, it's almost like it's not even there. It just becomes part of the scenery in a dark and twisted way.

Sorry, it's only on the Playstation Store for download. If the issue is that you don't have a credit card because of your age, you can go to Wal-Mart or GameStop, or whatever is available near you and pick up a Playstation network card. On the subject of those "Egg potions" The rainbow balls are dropped whenever the giant chicken or Grim reaper are killed. This take a lot of effort though haha.

A dark priest can be a good choice if you really want to do it.

Anyway when killed they drop 3 of them, it's pretty much the reapers hat.

on another note - Do you love FP? Do you want to show your support for the game, but don't want to sacrifice your signature?

I knocked these up for just that purpose. Pretty much having a FP themed sig on a LBP themed forum kind of defeats the point. These are small enough you can stick them under your sig and show your support without taking up piles of room:

Patch is out in the US, not yet in Europe, how does that work?
several things have been changed, like this

Ice Mage and Dark Priest AoE scoring has been adjusted from 10 points to 2 points per enemy affected.
Non-worker resource return has been reduced from 20 points to 10 points.
Feeding the princess has been reduced from 20 points to 15 points.
Castle door hit points have been reduced slightly from 30 to 25.
The Princess? calorie burn has been increased at weight stage 2, 3, and 4. Calorie burn was previously 2 per second at all stages. Stage 2 is now 4 per second, stage 3 is 8 per second, and stage 4 is 12 per second.

I personally am not a big fan of too much blood/gore in gaming in general, but..... at the same time, I think that you shouldnt let yourself be put off from a good game just because of that.

As was said, you CAN just turn it off, which is good, but even if you couldnt..... well, honestly, this is just a really good game.

And you can certainly just play it single-player if you dont wanna deal with online, but...... well, one thing I do like about the PS3: PSN isnt absolutely chock-full of JERKS like Xbox Live is. And even better, not that many voice-chat users!

I dont play a whole lot of games online with others, but when I do, well, I generally have a good time with the PS3 ones..... whereas the ones on Live really are filled with idiots and jerks.

More reason to love the PS3, I think.


Point is though, the game is definitely worth at least trying if you get a chance.... this really IS alot of fun, and is a very high quality title.		2009-08-10 12:02:00

I've undoubtedly had some fun playing this game. But I feel just about completely done with it. For one reason.

No split screen. I can play split screen and join an online game in Warhawk, but not this? It's ridiculous. And they have no plans to bring it to the game.

I have very little desire to play this game on my own. And whenever I have friends over and I turn it on, inevitably everyone who ISN'T playing gets bored by it. If we could both dive in and play the game together, this would be near the top of my games of the year list.

But without that simple, easy little feature, the game just doesn't offer anything for me. Very much bummed.		2009-08-17 23:27:00

that's something completly different.

Still, if all four players in the living room were on a team playing online against other people, Fat Princess would have a lot more players.

There isn't much more that you could see on your opponents side of the screen that you wouldn't be able to figure out from a quick glance at the map

with strategy i don't mean where they are or what they are carrying, it's about what outposts you capture, how much resources you've got, where you get your resources, what classes you upgrade, in what order you upgrade, how you defend the princess, which route you take, ..... You can learn A LOT from that!
You're not supposed to see that kind of stuff in a strategic game, it ruins the fun.
It's like playing stratego where you know the positions of the enemies before you start.

I know what strategies are and i'm pretty sure you can see as much on the map as you'd be able to see if you had a player on the opposite team. And besides all problems could be fixed if you make both players go on the same team

If we're getting new classes this early then there'll probably be a lot more coming

A lot of the castles do seem to have a load of empty space though. Although i wouldn't like to see them getting too cluttered i'm sure they can squish a few in.
I'm not sure how they'll fit anything into the pirate ship though, that thing barely classifies as a castle.		2009-08-19 21:11:00

Lots and lots of teamwork, you can't go out there by yourself or you will get slaughtered, I've only won matches when we go full out with our whole team wave by wave, or we plan a flank attack.

So teamwork is a must, the gameplay is fun and all the classes are pretty balanced, with the exception of the Mage and his Ice Attack (Really annoying...)

Wow, could this be because of my suggestion? o_o

I sent them an email suggesting a machine that mixes things like cake with other items to create new ones. Like combine wood and metal to create a bomb, or combine a cake with something to make it more fattening.
Maybe they built on that and made it into a new class

I think it makes more sense that the cake would be an ingredient if anything

The only 2 other ingredients out there are metal and wood, and neither of those are worth sacrificing for cake that you can find much more easy.

It's probably just for teh lolz but if they were extra classes they'd probably be 3rd tier upgrades:

Warrior to ninja
Ranger to pirate
Priest to the cook
Worker to the king

But the problem is that if you join a round late or lose connection half way through your rank will drop and it wouldn't be your fault

could be just a costume, like the crown in LBP

I hardly have seen any kings to be honest (after +60houres of playing),

i played this game a lot before my PS3 broke.

Those look great Dexiro! I just have on thing to say about the Dark Cloud level though. I think that the only metal materials in the level should be at the bottom cloud. That will give more incentive for people to go down there. And then they have to go down there and people will clash on the way there. Other than that they all look wonderful.
