New Snapshot Is Out! Probably the best one!

•Many minor bug fixes and tweaks- This can always be good

•Doors have been changed to properly detect if they are open or closed. Double doors in existing maps will need to be updated- Not sure what this means, but I don't have any double doors xD?

•Villagers will move indoors during night and rain, and socialize with each other- Pretty neat, especially socializing, what do you think they'll talk about?

•Zombies will break down wooden doors on hard difficulty- Your home is not safe anymore. Zombies have gained a few IQ points. D:

•Added cat sounds- Meow. Now we have more annoying sound! Yay!

•Better movement for mobs in water- Mobs are now aquatic?! WHAT?

•Added rare mob item drops- lolwut is thissoundsamazinglyepic.

The giant spiders doesn't look too good honestly, i never liked the giant zombies either. But i LOVE the red moon apocalypse thing.

EDIT: Never mind. That plugin was outdated. Just looking for an alternative to BB.

EDIT 2: The developers of LogBlock and HawkEye are combining LogBlock, BigBrother and HawkEye to make one "ultimate" log blocking, anti-grief plugin. It looks pretty neat. It's not out yet, but it seems there may be a base of it we can grab until they finish. I've enquired on the thread.

that's an artifact from some mod that had arrow stuff added to it. trashcan i think the mod was called. it kept gimping the server so i dumped it. I have a question. I made a nether portal. I walked through it. I made some stuff and went back to the portal. I ended up in a different place. If I destroyed this third portal, would it link the first two together the right way so I could go in one and end up where I want and then go through the second and end up back where I started? How does that work?

EDIT : No, that's not how it works. After toying around with it my brain hurts.

You're telling me. Kernelm and I spent hours and hours trying to make a working Nether Portal network. You have to make sure the portals are close enough together in their relative positions in the normal world and the nether.

It should be a matter of matching the coordinates, dividing the nether ones by 8, but it doesn't always work like that, I'm afraid.		2012-02-13 00:38:00

Well, I finally figured out how to fix the missing minecart problem. And to think, it was all inspired by a trip to Aldi. I now, instead of an open chest, have a shop for the minecarts. They each cost one gill, and when you return it you get it back. Have fun riding the monorail!

Well, Ive just spent and incredibly large amount of time on the ceiling of the nether as well as exploring new areas of it, even finding glowstone on the ground. I now have 8 and a half stacks of glowstone blocks, and I dont want any of it for myself. Id be happy to trade it.2012-02-18 01:59:00

Memo, are we having a vanilla world and THEN a bukkit world for 1.2, or just vanilla which will become bukkit? I'd prefer the latter, I think. And Kernel (and Octavio) and I could build a new spawn in creative. Nothing big, and not all huge and flat either Maybe just a small village that has character. SO...THERE I WAS WlTHIN THE SPAWN HAVEN, A GRAND GARDEN OF PEACE AND REST. BUT ALL TOO SOON I RECEIVED REPORTS THAT COMRADES AND FRIENDS WERE DIEING IN A DISTANT LAND. WITH THE POWER OF ANCIENT MAGIC I TRAVELED AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT TO COME AT THEIR AID. UPON ARRIVAL, I DISCOVERED THE LAND THEY WERE IN WAS A VAST DESERT, YET A SPAWN OF A PATCH OF HELL HAD GROWN WITHIN THE VERY SAND. THE GROUND AND AIR BREATHED FIRE, AND THE DEMONS OF THE SKY BLIGHTED ASH AND GLOOM ONTO OUR HEADS.

AMONG THE CHAOS STOOD THE SILHOUETTE OF AN INFINITE BLACK TOWER, FULL OF RIFTS AND DIMENSIONS INDESCRIBABLE. I NOTICED ONE OF US HAD PLACED WOOD SUPPORTS ON THE WALLS OF IT SO THAT WE MAY SCALE IT. SO ONCE I SCALED IT, A MIGHTY LORD OF KERN CAME DOWN, WHO SUMMONED THE DARK ENEMIES, AND GAVE ME WEAPONS, PLEADING ME TO FIGHT FOR HIS ENTERTAINMENT.

I SLEW THE MANY ENEMIES WITH MY FRIENDS, AND THEN PROCEEDED TO BUILD A FORTRESS ON TOP THE TOWER ITSELF, TO PROTECT MYSELF AGAINST THE REMAINING FOE. I BUILT IT INTO WHAT WAS LIKE A HOME...BUT THEN THE LORD OF KERN PIERCED A HOLE WITHIN THE VERY ROCK ROOF, AND PLACED VENOMOUS SPIDERS UPON ME AND MY COMRADES HEADS. AFTER VICTORY OF THAT, WE BUILT THE SHELTER STRONGER, BUT THE LORD OF KERN PLACED STRONGER ENEMIES, MANY THAT COULD DEFEAT US WITHIN SWIFT BLOWS.

WE FLED TO THE CITY OF NEW TEAHEDURST. ONCE WE ARRIVED I REALIZED THAT MY OLD FORTRESS, NOW ABANDONED, STILL SAT MIGHTILY UPON IT'S MOUNTAIN IN THE DISTANCE. WE PLACED OUR HEADQUARTERS THERE AND SHELTERED OURSELVES, AND STRENGTHENED THE WALLS, WE THEN DUBBED THE TOWER FORT NASA.
SOME TOOK TO THE TOWN BELOW, TO HOLD GROUND THERE, AND ORCHESTRATED THAT THEY WOULD FLEE TO THE OLD FORTRESS IF NEEDED.

THE LORD OF KERN THEN APPEARED OUT OF THE SKY AND STRUCK WRATH, A SWARM OF SKY DEMONS AND PIGMEN STRUCK AS MANY. THE TOWN LOST GROUND QUICKLY, ALL FORCING THE SOLDIERS TO SHELTER IN A SMALL RESTAURANT. I CONSTRUCTED A SAFE ROOM WITHIN MY FORTRESS TO COWER.
THE TIME CAME WHEN ENEMIES FLOODED WITHIN THE FORTRESS AS THE ENEMY FOUND WEAKNESS IN ITS STRUCTURAL DESIGN. I HELD OUT WITHIN MY ROOM FOR MUCH TIME, WHEN I FINALLY DECIDED I COULD NOT SURVIVE THERE, WE NEED TO FLEE.

I RECALLED A GREAT PLACE DISTANT FROM THE CITY. THE ORIGINAL NASA BASE.

I DUG OUT OF MY SAFE ROOM AND EXITED AT THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN CLIFF SIDE, WHERE I THEN LEPT INTO THE WATERS BELOW. SKY DEMONS SHOT FIRE AT US, FIRE SO HOT IT PIERCED THE VERY WATER AND SCORCHED US.
AS I SWAM, I RECALLED AN ANCIENT PIT THAT WAS WITHIN THE GROUND UNDER THE WATER. I SURELY THOUGHT WE COULD SHELTER THERE TEMPORARILY.
ONCE THERE, WE BEGAN TO GATHER OUR PLANS AND THOUGHTS, BUT TIME WAS SHORT, AS THE LORD OF KERN ARRIVED A PLAGUED US WITH MANY FOE.
I DUG MY WAY OUT OF THE CREVICE TO ESCAPE, THE ONLY COMRADE WITH ME WAS MAG THE KNIGHT. WE NEEDED TO DIG FAR AWAY ENOUGH TO SURFACE AT AN AREA THAT HAD NO SKY DEMONS, BUT TIME WAS RUNNING SHORT, SO I BEGAN DIGGING UPWARD PRECARIOUSLY. ONCE SURFACED, THE CAVE FLOODED AS WE WERE STILL UNDER THE OCEAN, WE SWAM THROUGH THE WATER A PLACED OUR BOATS AT THE SURFACE, ALL WHILST DODGING FIRE FROM THE SKY. WE MANAGED TO SAIL FAST AND SWIFT ENOUGH TO ESCAPE THE DEMONS.
WE THOUGHT WE WERE SAFE, ON ROUTE TO THE NASA BASE, BUT THE LORD OF KERN HAD TAKEN INTEREST TO OUR GROUP AND BEGAN TO PURSUE US AS HE FURTHER PLACE SKY DEMONS AMONG US.

AT LAST, THE NASA BASE, IMPREGNABLE AND MIGHTY, WAS IN SIGHT. IT WAS SMALL, BUT IT'S STONE AND IRON WALLS WERE UNBREAKABLE. ABLE TO STOP ALL ENEMIES. WE RAN TO THE MAIN GATE, BUT THE LORD OF KERN HAD PLACED CREEPERS A MANY UPON THE PLACE. THEY SWARMED ABOUT US AS WE RAN IN, I MANAGED TO GET FOOTHOLD A PLACE MYSELF WITHIN THE BASE, BUT ONE CREEPER BROKE THROUGH, AND KILLED A COMRADE.

ALL SEEMED SAFE, BUT WE UNDERESTIMATED THE LORD OF KERN. HE PIERCED THE ROOF IN A FAST BLOW, AND POURED THE VILE WHITE WORMS OF THE EARTH AMONG US. I FLED WITH MAG THE KNIGHT DEEPER INTO THE BASE, DOWN INTO THE DEPTHS AS WE WERE PURSUED BY THE VILE CREATURES.

SO FAR WE RAN DOWNWARD THAT WE FOUND OURSELF IN PITCH BLACK, AT BEDROCK. BUT A SINGLE BEACON OF LIGHT PIERCED THE ROOF AND LIT THE WALLS UP LIKE A GREAT FIRE.

THE LORD OF KERN WA S THERE. WE WERE TRAPPED.

THE VILE WORMS AND DEMONS OF THE SKY WERE PLACED AMONG US THERE. MAG THE KNIGHT WAS QUICKLY SWARMED AND KILLED, I FLED TO A CORNER OF THE ROOM TO PLACE MYSELF OUT OF REACH, BUT THEY TORE AT MY FEET, AND I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE.
I ALMOST SUFFERED THE FATE AS MY FRIEND, BUT THROUGH MAGIC I TELEPORTED, TO AN UNLIKELY PLACE, WHERE IT BEGAN, THE HELL SPAWN IN THE DESERT.

ONCE THERE, MAGS THE KNIGHT ONCE AGAIN ALIVE AS HE WAS IMMORTAL OR SOMETHING, AND WE TOTALLY HUNG OUT AND VACATIONED THERE HAPPILY EVER AFTER. THE LORD OF KERN FOLLOWED US ONCE MORE THROUGH ANCIENT MAGIC OF THE SORT. WE HAD TO FLEE ONCE MORE, BUT WHERE? I THOUGHT OF AN UNLIKELY PLACE, IT HAD TO WORK, OR ALL HOPE WOULD BE LOST.

I PROCEEDED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BLACK TOWER, WHERE THERE WERE MANY PORTALS TO HELL. WE BOTH RAN IN AND TRANSPORTED OURSELVES TO THE DEATHLY PLACE.

IT WAS DARK AND GRUESOME PLACE, WE WERE SITUATED UPON A GREAT FLOATING ROCK ABOVE AN ISLAND SURROUNDED BUT FURIOUS LAVA, BUT IT SEEMED SAFE FROM THE ENEMY. BUT BEHOLD, THE LORD OF KERN ONCE AGAIN STALKED US, AND BROUGHT HIS VILE ARMY WITH HIM. MAG WAS STRUCK AND FLUNG OFF THE FLOATING LAND, AND ONTO JAGGED ROCKS, WHERE HE MET HIS END.

I FELL TOO, AND WAS STRANDED AT THE ISLAND BELOW, SURROUNDED BY LAVA. THE LORD OF KERN CAME DOWN AND PLACE VENOMOUS SPIDERS ABOUT. WHERE THEY THEN SWARMED ONTO ME AND STRANGLED ME INTO THE FIERY WATER.

I would like to inform you that I have put a hole in the side of the main New Teoeuynhgnbzrturst store. This was an experiment to see how awesome it would look. i did not try it on someones home, I tried it on the public shop. There was an uncountable amount of ghasts and blazes flying around, along with tons of fire, and given the fact that they werent doing anything, I just had the urge to make it look like the apocolypse happened. The server will be ending in a few days, and we all want to see massive destruction( fire spread and explosions on, plus 100% creepers spawn, along with ghasts and ender dragons), and since its going to happen soon anyway, I put a hole in the store.

Now if you remove all the mobs and fire from New Thnhdm837ndurst, the only evidence youll ever find that anything bad ever happened there is a hole in the store, and everyones apocalypse stories.		2012-02-21 00:38:00

Explosions on. Fire spread actually may not be so great, because itll just burn everything before it can be destroyed by more fun means.

Creeper spawn rate up to 100%, so that wherever you go, the creepers will follow. This is the apocolypse, so the explosions must be on to destroy everything, otherwise were just dying everywhere, which we can do whenever we want.

Add some ghasts in main areas too. this I guess would have to be manual. But if their shots can destroy blocks, it would be so much fun.		2012-02-21 14:19:00

ok. stage one of the aporkalypse is ready. enderdragons have taken to a couple of towns, as well as pigmen, blazes and ghasts.

it'll go out to other towns as well, till the day that we have a confirmed date for 1.2 and then we'll turn on fire/explosions/whatnot.

And yet memo would have to eventually remove whatever substance was there no matter what. Removing the lava would be simple. But if it was covered in cobblestone rather than lava, it would make the inevitable process take longer, because half the structure is made of lava. Also, when we get version 1.2 I plan on living off by myself (possibly with a friend or 2) on an island somewhere again. And farming sheep.

Well i know oct and I are going to live in Rapture. And if Im not mistaken, I believe he had desires to build a floating island town as well. But think how boring it would be that no-one could see your work. If you're going to be completely secluded, you may as well be in single player...

Not really. We can still go underwater and make structures :/ its not like we HAVE to make it into a legit 'town'.

EDIT: Weird. I just saw a silverfish icon on the map in the mudkip desert(where strangely another mudkip appears to be being born). The silverfish icon is only six pixels :/

EDIT2: Weird. The second mudkip is like completely identical to mine, even though I used weird blocks, improvised, and due to lack of wool didnt follow the original sprites colors exactly.		2012-02-26 18:09:00

And for all of you people that played on my last server with mods... (yes all two of you) I introduce...

MY NEW SERVER WITH MODS! My ip is still 71.235.8.78 and the mods are even better this time. It is also ten times easier to play on my server. All you need to do is go to the tekkit website (http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/) and download the client for your platform. It is a completely separate install so it does not change you current Minecraft.jar and includes it's own launcher. It is great fun and I look forward to seeing at least one player.

So update 1.2 comes out tomorrow (http://www.mojang.com/2012/02/minecraft-1-2-preview/).

PSN is also down tomorrow so it gives me something to do...

I cant wait for the update tomorrow..... SO EXCITED!

Does this mean we're restarting tomorrow? Or do we gotta wait until Bukkit updates?

Hate to burst your bubble, but what Warlord posted were images he made himself. There are no lions or turtles in 1.2.


We'll be restarting as soon as Memo gets around to it, then we'll add bukkit to that server afterwards. It will of course be vanilla for a few weeks.

Now that the bukkit team are working with Mojang though, the bukkit update should (hopefully) be a whole lot quicker since they've already been working on it. And of course after 1.2, the bukkit server will be the vanilla server, so we won't have to wait at all for updates then.		2012-02-29 17:06:00
