Something that would be quite useful would be a plugin that detects if someone got killed by somebody else or not by detecting if he/she died by another player's hit/arrow/potion or by the knockback caused by the hit, should he/she fall in lava or a big drop. Then, in case of PvP death, items and XP are kept, while in other deaths they are lost. However, "logic-based" kill detection would be a pain to code and make come true...

I feel that since we have different opinions, we should put it to a vote. Of course, memo pays for it, so he can do what he wants, but really, whats the point of paying for a sever if the people playing on it arent happy? I for one vote for a new world. Lets start over.

On another note, I dunno if this has been fixed or not, but it still says I "cannot breathe sand" when I drown. That may be true, but its not how I died...

Honestly, this is unacceptable. After the beta, I expected to be able to forget about updates and the headache that comes with one, because the game was released. At least the biome generation should have been finalized so that people don't have to keep spawning new worlds...

But yes, I am for a new world. Preferably after 1.2?

I am definietly NOT for a new world. I have spent all my time on this world crafting and collecting so If we ever do start a new world I think it should be in 1.2/1.3.

what i plan on doing is

a full backup
set up the latest 1.1 snapshot with only a couple of plugins (towny/iconomy/uh...something else i forgot)
we screw with it for a couple of days or till they bring out a new RB
return to old world then gen a new one for the new biomes....or something.
????

Maybe we could just start over once 1.2 comes out. But I really just want to start fresh somewhere, sometime, soon. I'm getting bored sitting around and handing out all my diamonds to those less fortunate. Oh well, I'm fine with whatever the rest of you want to do.

Personally, I would like to keep Talassa. It is going so well right now.

I feel like building something similar to that, but in the sky...

Something like this I feel like building. I doubt it could happen though, youd need a bunch of people with creative mode. Wed build a couple islands like this, except smaller, and then link them like they were in the video above. Course, Im just envisioning, itd be a huge project, and I doubt you would trust me with hours of creative mode.

Random people

It's not that I'm against having new people on the server. I love having new people. But this is out of hand. Total,who is an outsider to the forums, was invited by Mags. That is fine. But now Total has gone out and invited all his friends. That is not fine.

Example 1- Marshmellow23 is one of Totals friends. Just now, he followed GDN, Mags, and I down into a glitched part of GDN's cave. (I'm guessing this was a backup error since now we can also go into the area underneath the spawn...) He then stole ores from the cave while Mags and GDN were exploring and saying they wanted them. He refused to give them back and then died in lava. Now those minerals are gone forever because he refused to listen to anybody.

In the middle of writing this, I just found out that Marshmellow23 tp-stalked Mags into Octs house and is now 'looting' the mine. Which is Octs.

My solution:

Each LBPC member can bring one friend unless a mod or admin makes an exception. This reduces the amount of randoms we get. And increases the amounts of people who will actually play and listen to the rules.

Perms

I'm not putting the blame on anybody for this. But it does tie into the next point I make.

Nobody has perms except the people who were online at a lucky time. (Including the above stated Marshmellow23) That means that we now have a random running around being able to do things but long time players (such as Fyre, Tan, and I) can't do anything until a mod comes online.

My solution:

For now, set all the perms of the people who actually play to true. Even if they're offline at the moment. That way, they don't have to stand around and get bored until a mod shows up. Because that's what happened to me. I came on, no mods were on, stayed for a few minutes, got bored, left for another server, then came back on to find that I just missed somebody.

Inactive Mods

This one is pretty self-explanatory. The mods rarely (if ever) play. And when they do play, it's not for more than an hour, usually. We need active mods. I'm not saying to automatically make the most active players mods. That would be bad. But we need at least one new mod that comes on for more than 10 hours a week. That's not hard to do. That's less than 2 hours a day. And it doesn't have to be all at once.

My solution:

The active server members that have been around for at least a month should vote on a new mod from a pre-selected list of active people who seem fit for the responsibilities. We then pick either the top 2 or just the top voted person.

I would say more but I'm trying very hard right now not to start some fight over something that may carry over onto the server. That's the last thing that I want.

Yay Brem, Oh and Marshmallow did not know the minerals were GDN's and has now repayed them, and he meant no harm when he teleported to me while in Oct's House, He was just lending me some planks. No harm done.

Question: Do we really want people like that? From my experience, Marsh has absolutely no respect for anybody on the server. Crafter repeatedly asked Marsh to leave his house. Marsh finally did. That was from the next post I made. That applies to everybody. I don't care if it's my best friend or some random guy who has been on LBPC for a long time. I treat people based on first impressions and attitude/personality.

Still makes no sense. Why does a mod have to approve your other friends? Do you really have that much trust in our moderators? What can a mod see that I can't see? Do they have the all-seeing eye? My friend can play "innocent" in front of a mod, get accepted, and go haywire all up in your bases. Not to mention the fact that the said person would have to join the server right? After all, we are talking about Non-LBPC players right? There would be no other way for a mod to "see" the other friends unless they were to join.

Of course, let's not forget the fact that mods hardly ever come on the server. So you're getting mad at the fact that you have to wait for permissions because mods are inactive, yet you seem to think it's ok that my friend and I can't have a jolly good time on Minecraft because we have to wait for a mod's approval, which can take a while.

EDIT: I'm not trying to be pessimistic at all here. But this server is on the verge of rule overload. The server has way too many rules and if you want/feel the need to add more, then you have to look at it from everyone's perspective. I mean, it's almost like Wallstreet up in hurrrr.

I just answered you first question.

As for the second, the mod approving is to keep people who are just going to do as Marsh did out of the server. None of us want people like that. Everybody was mad at him. Many people wanted him to be banned. ipad(something) is another one. He would constantly ask for perms and wouldn't listen to anybody. It didn't matter if somebody had come on or not, he would ask for perms. I told him at least 10 times in an hour that nobody was on to give perms. I'm pretty sure nobody wants people like that in. They get annoying. They constantly ask for people to give them stuff they should get on their own.

If you ask me, this server should be for LBPC members only. But that's because I think of it as the LBPC server. But a few others think the same as me.

EDIT: For the nav bar thing, do you mean how LBPC XP is up there twice...? Because I noticed that a few days ago, too...

Well, according to PWNER....

He was raging that he was gonna get banned. So my assumption is that he wasn't looking at the screen when we were screaming? Another thing, I believe Marsh is Pwner's brother, therefore if Marsh gets banned, Pwner has to go along with him.

Not my decision! I just rather have Pwner on the server then not. I told him to talk to Marsh.

You make some sweeping, unfair and just plain wrong statements, I get 2 hours of Internet a night on weekdays and I spend all of it on minecraft, Whether or not other people are on at that time isn't my fault, You don't seem to realise (or care) that we have our own lives, I don't have the ability to be on whenever I want, but I can't change that.

Dear lord I leave for a few weeks to study and I come back to a drama-athon. Figure something out guys before it over-poulates the thread.. I dont want to sift through 4+pages of arguments to find a post I want to read. My suggestion is that Bans without warning or question are in order for those who dont obey the rules. If they happen to be out of LBPC, it doesnt matter, they can still screw with your stuff. We are being a bit elitest here ( as I see it) in which we are assuming that letting ANYONE who isnt a member of the site will end in chaos, we should be able to trust those out of our community.

MY POINT IN BREIF: Permanently ban anyone who isnt obeying the rules, regaurdless of if theyre from LBPC or not., as soon as they do something wrong. It's their fault if they don't read the rules...

Dear lord I leave for a few weeks to study and I come back to a drama-athon. Figure something out guys before it over-poulates the thread.. I dont want to sift through 4+pages of arguments to find a post I want to read. My suggestion is that Bans without warning or question are in order for those who dont obey the rules. If they happen to be out of LBPC, it doesnt matter, they can still screw with your stuff. We are being a bit elitest here ( as I see it) in which we are assuming that letting ANYONE who isnt a member of the site will end in chaos, we should be able to trust those out of our community.

MY POINT IN BREIF: Permanently ban anyone who isnt obeying the rules, regaurdless of if theyre from LBPC or not., as soon as they do something wrong. It's their fault if they don't read the rules...

Then that doesn't really make you fit to be a mod. A mod needs to be someone who has time to spare and can help make sure the rules are followed. If you can't be on much, you can't enforce rules much, and thus aren't able to be a mod very well.

Do you even know what the /seen command does? It tells the user the exact time that the chosen player has been offline for. 5 days ago, you were somewhere around 11 days. It was probably more than 5 days ago. It was whenever I showed GDN Octs island. Now try saying that you spend your time on this server. Nobody sees you not because you're on when nobody else is. Nobody sees you on this server because you don't play on this server.

I hate to jump in, but I have been on much more than once since the server switch. You simply haven't cared to see who was and who wasn't on.

Before anything else, I'd like to make an apology. As being one of the inactive mods on the server, I apologize for making an unannounced leave for the majority of December. That is entirely my fault and I shouldn't have gone without notice. I had left due to a busy schedule and a lot events going on during that time, but I have no excuse why I told no one. That is entirely my wrong-doing.

On the topic of this debate, I must say, with the update to 1.1 with these new permissions, it sure would be nice to have an "active" mod give me permission, if it's possible. I fully understand if you have a busy schedule and all.

Anywho... It is not Kernel's problem you don't play online while he plays. The whole point in having multiple mods is that they are not all expected to be online at the same time. If you have a problem and Kernel is online, he will help you. If not, then ask another mod of wait... or deal with it yourself. And, if you don't like how it works go play on a different server. You can complain until you're blue in the face but it is not going to change anything. You either suck it up and play on this server which the mods do a fine job with or you can take it elsewhere but all of this fighting causes it to be worse.

I have had disagreements with the mods in the past but they are mods for a reason... they didn't just log on and get promoted to a mod.

Anyways what merc linked to has this stuff:
- New jungle-specific mob that can be tamed
- Skeletons have new AI and a few new behaviors
- Various minor bug fixes and changes
- Added an experience item to creative mode
- Added a flame item…
- Updated language files

To tame the Ocelot you need to stand still with a fish, and they should come to you.

Personally, I don't like how they change after you tame them, but I will likely get a texture pack that makes them still look like ocelots after taming them.

But understand that the creator spotlight is firing back up, I have college stuff to do, and thousands of people that need saving from dragons too. We can't be there all the time- but nor do we need to be.

We don't need mods online 24/7 and most disputes can be resolved through the in-game mail system or the forums. The difference here is that no one is asking you to step down, we're just asking for more moderators. Both you and Kernel are in the GMT Time Zone and that doesn't work for people like me. You're both 8 hours ahead of me. Meaning that when I want to log on, you're more than likely asleep. It doesn't matter if you do your job efficiently or not. You are physically unable to be online when I want to be online. And I know there are a few other people with similar time zones that you can't cater to.

So all we ask for is more moderators in different time zones. That way we can thin out the times where no moderators can/are online.

And sadly, it seems the LBPC Server needs more moderation than the website itself. ._.

Oh, I have Optifine. This was just a random bug that happened, it happens quite often with HD texture packs. Here I think it happened to everything in terrain.png:

Okay. I have a clear head now. Let me restate things now that I'm not as passionate.

Time to rant:

Random people

It's not that I'm against having new people on the server. I love having new people. But this is out of hand. Total,who is an outsider to the forums, was invited by Mags. That is fine. But now Total has gone out and invited all his friends. That is not fine.

Example 1- Marshmellow23 is one of Totals friends. Just now, he followed GDN, Mags, and I down into a glitched part of GDN's cave. (I'm guessing this was a backup error since now we can also go into the area underneath the spawn...) He then stole ores from the cave while Mags and GDN were exploring and saying they wanted them. He refused to give them back and then died in lava. Now those minerals are gone forever because he refused to listen to anybody.

In the middle of writing this, I just found out that Marshmellow23 tp-stalked Mags into Octs house and is now 'looting' the mine. Which is Octs.

My solution:

Each LBPC member can bring one friend unless a mod or admin makes an exception. This reduces the amount of randoms we get. And increases the amounts of people who will actually play and listen to the rules.

Perms

I'm not putting the blame on anybody for this. But it does tie into the next point I make.

Nobody has perms except the people who were online at a lucky time. (Including the above stated Marshmellow23) That means that we now have a random running around being able to do things but long time players (such as Fyre, Tan, and I) can't do anything until a mod comes online.

My solution:

For now, set all the perms of the people who actually play to true. Even if they're offline at the moment. That way, they don't have to stand around and get bored until a mod shows up. Because that's what happened to me. I came on, no mods were on, stayed for a few minutes, got bored, left for another server, then came back on to find that I just missed somebody.

Inactive Mods

This one is pretty self-explanatory. The mods rarely (if ever) play. And when they do play, it's not for more than an hour, usually. We need active mods. I'm not saying to automatically make the most active players mods. That would be bad. But we need at least one new mod that comes on for more than 10 hours a week. That's not hard to do. That's less than 2 hours a day. And it doesn't have to be all at once.

My solution:

The active server members that have been around for at least a month should vote on a new mod from a pre-selected list of active people who seem fit for the responsibilities. We then pick either the top 2 or just the top voted person.

I would say more but I'm trying very hard right now not to start some fight over something that may carry over onto the server. That's the last thing that I want.

This was a statement of ideas. Nobody had to go off on it. It's not against the rules of either the server or the site to express feelings.

Yeah, we've been off for a while, but now Kernel and I are starting to come on more and more. Next week in particular, when my college will let me sleep more, I can be online for much longer. But like I keep saying;

YOU CAN GET HOLD OF ME AND ASK ME TO COME ONLINE AT ANY TIME. TWITTER, EMAIL, ETC.

I did do this. I don't remember when exactly. But I got no response at all... That may have been an error on my part, though. I don't really understand Twitter. I just read the stuff.

You make some sweeping, unfair and just plain wrong statements, I get 2 hours of Internet a night on weekdays and I spend all of it on minecraft, Whether or not other people are on at that time isn't my fault, You don't seem to realise (or care) that we have our own lives, I don't have the ability to be on whenever I want, but I can't change that.

Honestly, I still don't understand what 'sweeping, unfair, and just plain wrong statements' I made. All I did was say that mods were inactive. I called for a vote to have a new and more active mod on the server.

I want you to look at it from the players point of view. What we see is no mods online. I know that Dayne has been getting on but still you haven't been on the server yet. But still /seen hasn't shows that you've not been on the server since we updated to 1.1.

This was a false assumption. I did read your post. I do care that people have a life outside videogames. I do understand. Since you didn't give me the courtesy of reading my post, I don't see why you should have overreacted as you did.

Then that doesn't really make you fit to be a mod. A mod needs to be someone who has time to spare and can help make sure the rules are followed. If you can't be on much, you can't enforce rules much, and thus aren't able to be a mod very well.

This is what I was saying. If a person isn't on enough, they can't carry out their responsibilities to their fullest.

Power envy doesn't suit you Speedy.

I'm still not sure how I seemed envious of the mod powers.

That won't happen, Speedy, Tan or Clay aren't mods yet.

Did I ever directly say I should to be a mod? No. Do I want to be one? Yes. Does that mean I'm going to fight everybody to be one? No. And why did you bring Tan into this? He had nothing to do with any of this. He just said that he agreed with what I said. Did he say he wanted to be a mod yet? No. Tan has said on multiple occasions that he doesn't want to be a mod.

If you didn't finish reading the above, at least read this!

I, too, would like this to end. I apologize for this argument escalating so much. I tend to get passionate about things. I will view, but not reply to, anything that comes after this post related to this topic.

Guys, this is REALLY getting out of hand. All this argument, these expression of opinions, whatever you want to call it. It's all getting to be too much. 3 thread pages just for an argument over mods. We've been through this before, but not to this severity. How we interpret facts may differ, but that's no reason to be arguing. Whether it's mods, land, new people, or rules, we ALWAYS happen to get into arguments over them. I understand, it's human nature. I do it too. But that doesn't mean we need to carry on like this forever. We can make this server better for everyone. If all this excessive arguing is stopped, maybe we'd have fewer gray hairs when we're 50. There's no need to argue over one thing for so long. State your opinion, and leave it at that. We are all different people, and we don't know what goes on in each others lives. Maybe we need a change of mods, maybe we don't.

All I ask is that we not argue amongst ourselves so much, so often, so long. All I ask is that WE, as a server, as people, conduct ourselves in a more considerate way. Please, let this community be better off.

I can not wait for the problems with my internet to end. I really want to play Minecraft with you guys again, but for some odd reason, only my PS3 has a decent internet speed now. My PC should be at or around 15mbps, but it is only about 0.27mbps.

I have no idea why it only affects my computer and not my PS3, but it sucks. (Also, if my computer's on, my PS3 will start to lag intensely but that's beside the point)

Good luck with that. The players are shown on a flat 2D map, and the caves are shown simultaneously on an isometric. When you think they're right above a cave, they're actually about a mile south of it.

The caves system view thing actually isnt very good. Theres the fact that you cant see lava, so you could fall right into that, and Im sure at least 60% of those caves have already been milked before. So its actually pretty useless, when you think about it. You cant see ores or anything.

Although something cool I just found is you can see little sections of grids everywhere, which are of course mineshafts. It looks pretty cool.

Okay. This is just maddening now. Im sorry if people have warned about this but pigmen in the nether are totally broken (Or ust total *****) Because a pack of 7 attacked and killed me in the nether fortress east of Nether TH. I didnt even hit a signle one of them, they just came after me. I lost all my stuff and /return doesnt work because it disables run and makes me sit there to just die again.

I have just finished my first pixel art ever, and the first on this server to be built solely for veiwing from The new craftworld map (http://72.249.124.170:8123/?worldname=world&mapname=flat&zoom=5&x=-223.99999999999997&y=64&z=475.125). I should note I never bought anything for this whatsoever; I got all of the dye and wool myself, with my shears and my fists. Some people were generous enough to just give me a little wool outright. Kernel and AlexHatena were kind enough to lend me there sheep, which are currently bleeding from having been repeatedly sheared. And Speedy helped clear a butt ton of sand. So, my internet connection lets me play Minecraft online again. My dad complained to our ISP, now they're giving us mad discounts and faster service.

The first thing I did was set sail out to this specific small grouping of islands I've been eyeing on the server map. I've claimed one as my own, seeing as my house takes about 1/3 of it and the rest is trees. One of them is really small and I was planning on making a lighthouse or a statue on it. The third one is huge and I wanted to build a big farm, but I'm not sure. It seems too much of a pain to bring animals overseas to that area.

Would it be possible at all to sell Pig, Cow, Sheep, Chicken and possibly Villager, Wolf, and/or Squid creature eggs (The mobs that don't de-spawn) in MemoMart? Maybe at a high price?

It would be way more convenient so that we could get animals exactly where we want them, without having to build stairways up to farms, or cross oceans while holding wheat the whole time.

I dunno, just a suggestion. If it even is possible to give people eggs in survival mode

(BTW, I love the Mudkip!)

hrm. i suppose we can keep the money we have, dunno who has what at the moment so i'll need to check that out.

it'll be basically the same.

not a complete listing of everything, some things like dirt/cobble will not be sellable, but anything more rare than that should be. in order to do that i'll probably need the mods help, and i'll have to temporarily assign them permissions to make mod shop signs.

also, this requires that there be some kind of balance based on the amount of work to get to whatever item you are selling. some eggs will not be sellable, and some will be, but will cost an arm, a leg, and three fingers from the remaining hand.

I figured that. Eggs should be kept for only last-resort types of things. If people want a lot of animals, they can do what I did. Swim across the ocean for 40 minutes while having a parade of sheep behind me.

In other news, my internet's slow again and I can't play Minecraft anymore. I think my ISP was just raising the speed for the weekend because we complained, and now it's back down to 0.5 MBPS. When we're paying for over 15MBPS. Something's not right there. (My PS3's internet somehow works fine though, so I'll be on LBP..)

That would be funny, cus then youd have to know commands to get out, so n00bs would be all confused. I never go to spawn for anything anyway, except when I die. And then I just /back, because chances are, I didnt want to die. Of course, it might get annoying...

Now on to business. I was on the server just a little while ago and noticed some things missing. If someone could please find out who has been griefing the following items from my W.I.P. roller coaster, it would be appreciated.

Missing :
5 mine carts. There is no reason these should be missing if people would return them at the end of the ride.
7 pieces of regular mine cart track. Why steal the very thing that makes the ride rideable?
1 piece of powered track. In its place they put cobblestone. This was an insult and angered me more than the stealing.
1 redstone torch. I have plenty but it is what powered a hill so again they made it another layer of unrideable.

I have the materials to replace all this and continue building my coaster, but I would first like a mod or admin (whichever it takes) to figure out who did this and render suitable punishment.

Nope! No slimes are disabled, but they're really hard to find. It might take several "SlimeRooms" to actually get slimes to spawn, but they are definitely enabled since I got 11 slimeballs from speedy.

Sure, but be warned, it's not finished and also has been griefed so even what I have is nonfunctional right now. Also, at the end it currently drops you into the ocean and takes some health away. Just go to /warp RadioPS and look for the track that heads out into the ocean. (There's even a tunnel under the water, which is where the griefing happened by the way.)

New Snapshot Is Out! Probably the best one!

•Doors have been changed to properly detect if they are open or closed. Double doors in existing maps will need to be updated- Not sure what this means, but I don't have any double doors xD?

•Zombies will break down wooden doors on hard difficulty- Your home is not safe anymore. Zombies have gained a few IQ points. D:
