Wow. I lost like 5 stacks of clay and my iron tools because the aquatic mammal dwelling server crashed. It keeps coming up and crashing every 10 seconds. 		2011-10-14 06:09:00

Notch changed the sun and moon to round in the 1.9 pre4 update, but some people complained they preferred square, so Notch made the poll to see what the majority wanted. It's so close just because it is.		2011-10-14 16:21:00

Also, Memodrix: PLLEEEEEASE can we have Big Brother back? /lb is both confusing AND impractical. It doesn't tell you who started fires and such, and it won't let me place the bedrock that is supposedly the thing that detects what changes happened in that block...

Also, can you sort the res limits out soon? I can't make more tp's, and I can't actually make any of my buildings safe.

Finally, thank you VERY much for the office, Mos! I love it! I made some tweaks to it, adding trapdoors and stuff, which meant I had to spread out the leaves a bit, but it isn't much different Although, if you could- I don't suppose you could make a bedroom / chest room thing on top of the office, could you? Doopz can show you how to get into my office if he's there. If not, you may have to build a filth tower to get up the outside.

He most likely had to land, and you saw him flying low.

Lucas has had a hard life, you know! his father told him he wouldn't amount to anything, so he told his dad "I'LL SHOW YOU! I CAN DO ANYTHING" and stormed out.
For days, he tried to find his talent, but he had no luck. until he saw a flock of birds.
He was mesmerized by them, how they soared through the sky with grace and total freedom. So he told himself "I'm going to FLY!"
of course all his squid friends did nothing but laugh at him and tell him he was crazy for dreaming such things.

For days he trained, jumping out of the water, flapping his slimy tentacles around as fast as he could.
Though everyone said he couldn't do it, he still kept trying! He kept working at it and kept believing that he could do it.
until that moment came, when he jumped out of the water, and soared through the sky like a really ugly eagle.

his father, his friends, everyone watched in awe as he flew away.
I always believed in Lucas... I always knew he could do it.

What you've gone and screenshotted is the moments just after a play fight we did, I was merely trying to get my stuff back. I then proceeded to return all the stuff i had got almost straight away. so the server...uh...crashed at some point. corrupted the world and killed a lot of data. I'm piecing what was working from the server into the most recent backup, which was several days ago. just so you know. So, I was working on my glitched map, and I made an obstacle course that I can train my Smart movement skills with.

You can Grab onto these ledges and scoot across, then you have to turn around fast and grab another ledge before you fall.

When you get to the end of that part, you come to a drop into the WATER MAZE!

The maze isn't that long, but it's DARK, and you only have a short amount of time to make it to the end, or to an air pocket before you start drowning.

JOSH'S TALES OF MINECRAFT ADVENTURE #1

So there I am, I just finished my mining trip and I was making my way home, when I accidentally slip into a ravine!
There I am, Sitting at the bottom, no freakin' food and only 3 and a half hearts left.
Well, this is where my smart movement mod comes into play, I do a charged jump and grab the ledge, and start making my way up.
I get about half way up and I grab another ledge, as I'm pulling myself up a creeper inches towards the ledge! I freaked out and left go of the grab button and Fell down with the creeper, and started hacking away at it, I killed it in mid air and Landed in the water!

I was so freakin' stunned at how well that went that I didn't care about falling all the way back down.
so I started going back up the way I went before, and I made it to the top! REJOICE! SUNLIGHT!
*Ssssssssss* OH GOD DA- *BOOOOOM!!!*

I goof'd it. its working again. mobs should be more frequent, and sheep have a decently equal chance of spawning in any color. to be accurate, when a sheep is spawned, there is a 6% chance of it being black or white, and 5% of any other given color. that should equal up to 100% i think. i forget how many there are total. but yea.

now i just need to get the portal thing working and we'll be gold.

also, I've started the process of generating bad chunks. one at a time so as not to make the server goof again. some areas i'm gonna leave since people have already used them.		2011-10-21 08:29:00

Since the server is still having lag issues and there aren't even very many people on the server today, I just played a lot of single player. It does get a bit lonely though, being in the middle of nowhere, with no other players around. Which is why I decided to get a couple of friends who will now be staying with me.

Alright, little issue I want to sort out. When I created the rules for sandford, I made one which states you must ONLY take your fair share of food from the public food stores.

After Kernel bought 2 stacks of dirt cheap food from a chest which only had 3 stacks, I want to change that rule so you must only take your fair share of food from public food stores OR shops.

I don't care about making money from the shops so much, I just want people to be reasonable with them, so some rich person can't buy everything, and leave nothing for other people.


So. I'd like you to either vote "YES" to change the rule so you must be reasonable with the food shops, or "NO" that the rule stays the same, and anyone can empty the shops we worked hard to fill, and have no consequences.		2011-10-23 16:17:00

Yes, there's definitevely something wrong with the Minecraft servers. Sometimes I have to login three times because it keeps failing, even though the info is correct. Then the server goes on and off, and gives odd error messages.

Can you get to the launcher(the screen that says log-in with all the minecraft updates)?

If so try forcing an update, maybe your .jar is corrupt.

I just killed the server to add an auto restart thingy to it. it'll be back up within the hour. Dunno what happened to it really, be on the look out for new corrupted chunks.

EDIT!!

Ok it's back up. I need all the mods to pm me with a simple password that you can remember and isn't used for anything important. I'm going to add you to the user list so that the restart thing will let you restart if it gets really horribly laggy for some reason between normal restarts (every 5 hours.)		2011-10-28 13:17:00

Okay, this is just getting ridiculous now, another random friend of a friend of a friend of someone on the server just joined. I swear these days there are more people not from LBPC playing on the server who don't even have a clue what LBP is. Can something please be done about this, I play on the server so I can play with my friends from LBPC, not so I can play with a bunch of random'ers. If I wanted to do that, I'd find a public server.

I wasn't even exaggerating about there being more non-LBPC'ers either, out of 7 people online now, only 2 of those are from LBPC.		2011-10-28 15:29:00

Minecraft classic is there so simply if you want to see how the game started out you can. It lacks so much stuff from the beta. But most importantly you can't save with classic. So you'll lose whatever you work on every time you quit. It's not up to date in the slightest so you would be playing a heavily watered down version of what there is today. Like really basic. The beta is where it's at, yes you have to pay. But the amount of fun you can get from this game more than repays the small price of $15. It's a no brainer in my mind.		2011-10-28 15:35:00

Dear God what is wrong with the server.

The past week has been a nightmare. Everytime someone joins the server goes "lul i break nao" and it gets so laggy that I get stuck in blocks and start dying. And it happens EVERY time someone joins.

I got them in by placing a dragon spawner in an external editing program (MCEdit). You can also probably use the single player commands mod to spawn them in directly.

They are not yet set to spawn in the game normally.

Ok, been exploring the caves that roam the earth below New Mercus, they seem to never end!

There's an entrance in the desert right next to New Mercus. If anyone wants to explore it and gather its resoureces, feel free. (I've had enough iron) And if you venture into new caves, place torches in the right side of the cave unless you are going back or the tunnel is too large an requires full lightning.

One more thing, I don't know if it's going to help but it's worth a try:

1. Go to "Run" on the start menu
2. Type %appdata%
3. Open ".minecraft"
4. Open "Bin"
5. Left click "minecraft" file and open with Winrar or Zip
6. Delete the folder named "META-INF"

Okay so i assume you've found the .jar file labelled "Minecraft", What you need to do, Is open it in an archiver like Winrar or 7-zip, and then scroll down and delete META-INF

Speaking of that actually, did you make sure to download the correct file? From minecraft.net/download (http://www.minecraft.net/download), make sure to click show all platforms, because the Mac OS X file is hidden by default.

META-INF is located inside the minecraft.jar. To open the minecraft.jar:

1) Rename "minecraft.jar" to "minecraft.zip"
2) Double click to unzip with the mac's defaul unzipped
3) Delete META-INF from within the folder (and drag any files from mods you want to install while you're at it)
4) Select all files. (CMD+A)
5) Right click and "Compress"
6) Find the compressed file in the folder. Rename it "minecraft.jar".
7) Put the new jar back in the bin folder.
8) Don't use ??? Profit meme.

You can either place two fingers on the trackpad and click, or you could CTRL+Click.

ok, so who am i murdering, and fire(spread) is supposed to be off isn't it? I thought i turned it off after i nearly burnt mos' tree down?

Dang it, the town center is damaged badly.

Welp... I logged on and lo and behold I spawn in my house in New Mercus and it is on fire. I step outside... THE WHOLE TOWN IS ON FIRE!!! About half of it burned down. Mos helped me put it out. I have some pics to upload later.

Probably some n00b not even from LBPC griefing our sever! The logs must be checked!

Took my first steps into the Minecraft world today at a friends house, single player was hard, especially on your first day . I was spawned in the middle of a forest with no mountains, stranded on an island, I desperatley found a cave entrance, which awaited 2 HUGE cave entrances. I was clumsy enough not to gather any wood, so I had no crafting supplies, just 56 dirt. I built myself into a wall using my bare hands, found a zombie, screamed, but it caught fire and lived.

I also tried the LBPC server, very cool. I only got a short glimpse of it, I found a floating island with waterfalls (ATMLVE'S floating island??) And a house with a purple portal, I went in, to find myself in "Meadows of Hell." I tried gathering supplies, but I couldn't even mine, if I tried it would just grow back. I was looking forward to help craft the server

So yea, when Minecraft decides to stop being a pain, I think Ill stick to multi for awhile and explore the island, and put my share into it 		2011-11-01 04:45:00
