You SHOULD be able to log in now, but i can't say for certain if it's completely fixed. the server ran into a ton of hiccups (it was snowing the entire time i was on it while working on it.) and there is no telling whats going on with it, really. | so, uh. i don't know what happened, but the server is not happy. i'm working to fix the thing now. edit: If what i think happened happened, we may well end up losing a days worth of work on it. As of now, it seems the world IS corrupted, but i have a backup from some time yesterday afternoon, before i added Falsebook and tweaked a few things Edit again!! I was right. the world got corrupted then the server nixed itself. restored the world, however(!) a lot of stuff that was done recently is now missing, and i think i had to kill the residences, i'll restore them to the old ones from that same backup. So i've just bought minecraft the other day and it's pretty epic lol. Didn't realise how cool it is. I've built myself an awesome house with the most unorganised and confusing mine known to man haha. | Hey all! Recently caught the Minecraft bug thanks to a friend, so I guess I can post here now. Here's a 30-some block high Bahamut statue I made on my home server. I only fell off it about three times while making it.  http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=35280&d=1309187906 I'm currently working on a set of floating islands connected together by Chrono Trigger-style skyways like on the Zeal Kingdom (using waterfalls). Getting grass to grow up there is taking forever though. | I played this, and I don't understand it at all... there are no in-game tutorials telling me how to make stuff. I only tried it out because my friends at school are totally obsessed with it and I feel ostracised when they talk about it. I try it out, and to be honest, it's kind of crappy. The only thing I actually enjoyed was punching Creepers to death. | Toomanyitems mod? I try to keep the game as vanilla as possible for now. For Bahamut I actually mined/gathered everything I needed except for the Lapis Lazuli I needed for purple dye. For the floating islands I'm just abusing the /give command a lot for dirt (so that I don't need to strip mine the surrounding area clean and constantly move down to the ground and then back to the sky). I'm letting the grass grow naturally by making a "dirt chain" all the way to the ground. @Jakest123: The game was hard to get into at first, but there's a lot of tutorials online and the wiki is a must resource. | well, i'm trying to update the server. and. i must say. this is going to suck on levels that would make a Dyson vac running at twice it's designed current jealous. see, the teeny, tiny, effing huge problem is thus.....I have to completely re-do permissions. I tried everything: putting a bag of ice near the hottest area, placing the laptop up high so that it's higher up and absorbs more air, sitting besides an open window... Sometimes it does take longer to overheat and shut down without notice, but it's certain it happens. Now after the 1.7 update Minecraft started to cause the overheat too, although it takes an hour or so to happen (while Playing Team Fortress it only takes 10 min.) I saw a forum thread about this laptop's ventilation problem, and turns out this Acer Aspire's is a lesson for computer manufacturers of every single thing they shoudln't do when designing an efficient layout. Too small air intakes, the processor directly above the HDD (if I remember correctly) which is enveloped in an inner casing that obstructs the laptop's initially designed lower ventilation holes, a weak fan, the crappiest thermal paste possible (one of the users even said it wasn't actual thermal paste). Basically, I bought a 400? stove in this same thread there are some users that punched some holes into the lower casing, replaced the thermal paste and say their laptop now runs fine but I'm not savvy enough to open a laptop casing and meddle with its components. To vote: just log in and go to the voting booth (in the spawn area) and once it teleports you, read the wall. after you've read and understand exactly whats involved, place a sign on whichever side you wish to choose. Also, you can use the command '/mail write memodrix' followed by a short message if you have any issues or questions and I'm not on. Came across some constructs on my way out of the spawning zone. Got chased by creepers and entered/fell into a strange tunnel in the sea. Explored the cave and got ambushed by a zombie, which I promptly dispatched with my trusty feather. Further exploration of the cave revealed a nest of monsters. Bravely used the spawn function to return and alert the townsfolk. Left again towards another direction. Came across a strange set of floating dirt formations, man-made? Sleeping out at sea, the monsters cannot get me here. The morning sun has vanquished the horrible night. Came across some giant tunnels that seem to have been blasted through a pair of mountains. What terrible creature must have made these tunnels? They must have used lava, as there as a lava bath nearby. Uh oh, they seem to be keeping squids captive in a tiny pool as livestock, I'd better get out of here! Sleeping at sea once again, closer to the shore this time. | Continuing on my underground tunneling adventure~ For over 12 hours now I have been digging better then any mole-man could hope to match. I have done it… I have dug all the way off the island till I came across the beach All the way across from where I started on the island~ But Did I stop there? No way Bro~ Any mole-man worth his way in dirt would not Stop just because a ocean stands in front of him~ I know there are other islands. And my tunnels will connect them all together if I have anything to say about it!~ So that’s right. I’ve started digging under the Blue Sea!! | I Have Not been finding any Iron ore until just lately... Plus i did have a good hand full of it... until I fall down a big hole I made and died :I that's another thing, my tunnels are not the most safe in some areas xD like in the exit places I made to go up on land... are made with long ladders going way up. if you mistake fall instead of clime, it'll almost always take half of your HP, and I have butter fingers sometimes it seems~ PS: BTW there was a Zombie down in the cave i found! | To back up your saves on windows systems: click on the start button and go to the search option search for %appdata% it should take you to a folder called appdataroaming or something like that the first folder in it should be .minecraft copy the save folder to your desktop. that should be all your worlds. It might be a good idea to make a link on your desktop to the data folder. Now that that's done, just follow the instructions that come with the mod and you should be golden. If you mess up and minecraft won't start, use the launcher's 'force update' option under the options menu and it'll re-dl the minecraft jar you modified. | the aether mod is probably the best mod ever with the amazing dungeon bosses. (except for silver dungeon as it's always blocks me out before i can reach the boss inside it >:[) HOWever... ever since i've downloaded it my level generator is incredible laggy and slow both in and outside the aether, along with that i've gotten alot of random lag everywhere for no reason really. now.. i don't have a super computer but my laptop could handle minecraft without ANY lag in multiplayer and single player WITH: render distance set to far, smooth light, grafic set to fancy, and a bunch of pistons working around the level at the same time. but now i can't work with even one piston with settings: fast grafic, non-smooth light, level render set to tiny, in SINGLEplayer. without suprisingly high lag. i might have mixed my minecraft jar and the mod wrong or something though.. | 2011-08-04 13:02:00 Author: >er. | What's going on with this residence thing? It's kind of annoying setting up secret entrances etc, but people can just smash through a couple of blocks to gain entrance. | the aether mod is probably the best mod ever with the amazing dungeon bosses. (except for silver dungeon as it's always blocks me out before i can reach the boss inside it >:[) HOWever... ever since i've downloaded it my level generator is incredible laggy and slow both in and outside the aether, along with that i've gotten alot of random lag everywhere for no reason really. now.. i don't have a super computer but my laptop could handle minecraft without ANY lag in multiplayer and single player WITH: render distance set to far, smooth light, grafic set to fancy, and a bunch of pistons working around the level at the same time. but now i can't work with even one piston with settings: fast grafic, non-smooth light, level render set to tiny, in SINGLEplayer. without suprisingly high lag. i might have mixed my minecraft jar and the mod wrong or something though.. have you recently died in another realm? if you did, collect all the items in the other world. the shockahpi mod makes some items not dissapear. | 2011-08-07 23:06:00 Author: Cactii Posts: 426 |

Dayne, why all the security?  I got on your property but the only way I could leave is by typing /spawn or by teleporting to someone, the place is a deathtrap, cursed land! (Of course you get stuck mostly when you teleport to it, but it rarely happens when you walk on it.) It's seemingly pleasant foliage and grass will become a snare, take hold of what standing you have, and won't even let you turn, until it eats YOUR SOUL.
