No, alicorn means horns and wings. There were a lot of times when repeat ponies showed up in the background. In fact there have been a bunch of non winged ponies that showed up in cloudsdale. It's just lazy animators letting the computer pick the background ponies. Not that we dislike lazy animators, since that's what gave us Derpy in the first place. R.I.P. Derpy. So... Is this it, then? I'm not sure if the episode alluded to this season being the final season or not. I hope not, but I get the impression this ending is what they've been building up to for 3 seasons. Granted, it was not Fausts original plan, but it does seem like a fitting end to this gen.
As for the episode itself, eh, it was OK. It's music tracks were OK, while I don't feel there were too many of them, I do feel like they've tried to stuff a two-parter into one half hour. There's next to no introduction, followed by some nice ideas regarding the Cutie Mark swapping, followed by a drawn out sequence regarding Twilight getting wings and being dubbed a Princess.
I guess this was OK, but more plot would have been an excellent end to the show.

It's NOT the final season. Studio B has already been paid for a 4th season with 26 episodes, and will also be working on (what will probably) be an abomination of a mini series; Equestria Girls, a spin-off where the ponies fall into the human world or something.

Kinda wish I was joking with that last part. Only reason MLP is getting a 4th season is because it's popular, though. It'll probably end after season 4, if anything... but time will tell, I guess.		2013-02-17 05:09:00

I haven't been in this thread for a while, and I see it has slowed down considerably. I've returned to say that I just watched the MLP Equestria Girls movie, and I'm going to be totally honest and say that I loved it. It had tons of references to the popular moments in the TV series, and as an animator I appreciate the good job they did with conveying emotion on such simple humanoid characters, specifically in their facial animation.2013-07-31 02:36:00

I don't think there's any point forcing a thread to stay active, that's just tending towards spam.
If there is nothing worthwhile posting about then it's perfectly fine to let the thread rest (in peace ) until there is, at that point it can be bumped into life again.
