Dont everybody bombard me with N00bz Its just i have never seen it open Ok thanks if i get a reply Every now and then, she opens requests so people can get their sackboys and girls drawn. The next batch of requests will start in the winter, no exact date yet. Once her list of requests is filled (usually about seven requests per batch if I rememer correctly), she will close them and no more requests can be sent. | That reminded me how important the LBPC family is to me. Thank you all, for making me feel so at home here and giving me so much support, friendliness, and all of that good stuff. Enough of this sappy stuff...It's time for a new event. a QUICKTIME DRAWING SESSION A new event that would take place several times a week. I pick a random subject, and you guys (including me) do a quick doodle/sketch of said subject. Then, you show everyone your picture here, and we tell everyone what we think of each other's drawings. If you get feedback, then you have to give feedback to the person who gave you feedback. If you're not exactly the drawing type, you can still participate by leaving feedback for other participants' drawings. By doing this, we can all have some fun, discover some great artists who were too shy to show the world their talent, and receive some feedback and opinions to help us improve! You'll be better at drawing in just a week if we take critiques into account and try our best, and if we can keep this running long enough. What do you all think? Yay or nay? | Hey Zim!(You might remember me from PSN the other day) I was wondering, how do you get the Sackboy Knit Texture in Paint Tool SAI? I never could get it... And I will try to get a pic sooner or later... It comes with the Fansite Kit on the official website. Open the Sackboy texture file. Color in the area you want the texture to be with any color (doesn't matter), then paste the texture on a new layer above that color layer. Then you check the box that says "Clipping Group" so it only stays inside the color you just did. That's all there is to it. @Spider-Jew The head is only a little misshapen, and remember Sackboy's feet aren't just rectangles with flat bottoms; I'm not sure how to explain it, but look at that Grapple Hook picture I did. See the little part on the bottom of the foot that sticks out? And you are GMT -5. GMT is basically a time system adding or subtracting hours from the main GMT. Example, London is GMT + 0, or just GMT. Say you live in Florida. That's GMT - 5. So you're 5 hours behind London, hence GMT - 5. I live in California, so I'm 8 hours behind. Hope that helped. I've seen many old members slip up from time to time (meltdowns, outbreaks, flame wars... some I had to stop). It could've been a number of things that caused this to happen (just look at all the attempts there have been for reviving the Spam Can...  ), but with this whole influx of new members, something else might have sparked it. | Shading? It's hard to explain fully, but I'll try my best to summarize it in a way. First, determine a light source. Draw a little sun, nothing too fancy, where the light is coming from. This can help you stay consistent with your shading, since you know where the light is coming from. Think about where the light would and wouldn't reach. There are several types of shading, as well; Soft - Using an airbrush or a blur tool can make a soft shading effect. This is generally the easiest type of shading, but it depends on the artist. It's best used in simple pictures - for instance, the requests I do. It can be used in big dramatic pictures, too, like the pirate one or something. Cell-shading - Just plain old draw-out-the-shadows. This is the hardest type of shading, for me, at least. You need to have a good grasp on where the shadows go to get the right effect. Usually used in comics. Painting - This is achieved by layering lots of colors with a textured brush (photoshop or SAI) or just a plain brush. The edges should be sorta hard and sorta sharp, a good balance in between the two.
